Abstract

Different soil types have varying soil fertility potentials, which contribute to the crop yields obtained. The aim of this study is to analyze the characteristics of soil pH, organic carbon (C-Organic), and cation exchange capacity (CEC) and to determine appropriate management practices for corn cultivation on two different soil types in Unit Pemukiman Wuna Village, Tongkuno District. The method used in this study was a free survey method utilizing minipits for each soil type. Soil sampling was conducted using a composite method, where soil samples were taken from three points for each soil type at depths of 0–30 cm (topsoil) and 30–60 cm (subsoil). The soil from each layer was then composited, and approximately ±1 kg of soil was taken for laboratory analysis to determine its pH, Organic-C, and CEC levels. The results showed that the chemical properties of soil type 1 (Alfisol) had a lower pH than soil type 2 (Mollisol), with values of 5.02 and 5.24, respectively. Similarly, the CEC analysis indicated that soil type 1 had a lower CEC compared to soil type 2, with values of 5.16 and 5.20 me/100 g, respectively. However, in terms of soil organic carbon content, the analysis revealed that the Organic-C level in Alfisol was higher than in Mollisol, with values of 5.66% and 3.47%, respectively. Appropriate management practices for corn cultivation require efforts to increase soil pH and CEC through liming and zeolite application. Additionally, to maintain pH, C-Organic, and CEC levels, blanket herbicide application should be avoided, and excessive use of chemical fertilizers should be minimized to sustain soil health and land sustainability

Abstract

Soil fertility is one of the main factors affecting agricultural land productivity. Evaluation of soil fertility in rice fields needs to be carried out to identify nutrient status and soil fertility, and to determine site-specific fertilization recommendations. This study aims to evaluate soil fertility status and determine fertilization recommendations in rice fields in Tumburano Village, North Wawonii District. This study was conducted from July to October 2023 using a random sampling survey method based on differences in slope positions, namely upper, middle and lower rice fields. Soil sampling was carried out at each slope position with 3 replications. The results showed that soil pH varied between 7.14-7.55 (neutral), soil organic C ranged from 4.04-6.29% (very high), and Total N ranged from 0.41-0.61% (very high). While available P ranged from 10.89-12.56 ppm (moderate), available K varied between 0.34-0.35 cmol (+) kg⁻¹ (low). The soil CEC varies between 24.46-27.21 me 100 g⁻¹ (medium-high) and BS ranges between 71.84-77.47% (high). Based on the results of the assessment of soil chemical properties, it can be concluded that the level of soil fertility in the study area is in the low to medium category. The results of this study recommend fertilization: 250 kg ha-1 urea, 75 kg ha-1 SP-36, and 100 kg ha-1 KCl (if using single fertilizer), and a dose of 300 kg ha-1 plus 150 kg ha-1 urea, if compound fertilizer. It is also recommended to use 5 t ha-1 of straw to reduce synthetic fertilizers

Abstract

The economic crisis that hit the world automatically worsened the economic situation in Indonesia in the period from 1997 to 1998. During the crisis, only the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector was able to survive strongly. This phenomenon shows that MSMEs can be productive activities that support economic growth both macro and micro in Indonesia, and have a positive impact on the development of other sectors. Law Number 20 of 2008 concerning Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) stipulates regulations for the MSME sector. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the top priority in national development and the presence of digital technology in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 is a very important factor for the development of business lines for industry players or businesses. This study aims to determine the influence of business duration and promotion methods on MSME income in Polewali District, Polewali Mandar Regency. The methodology used in this study is a quantitative approach where the source of data is obtained directly (primary) through the discourse method and the distribution of questionnaires. The results of this study are that the variables of business duration and promotion simultaneously have a significant influence on MSME income. Meanwhile, partially the business duration variable does not have an effect on MSME income, on the contrary, the Promotion variable has a significant influence on MSME income. The value of the determination coefficient is 90%. This shows that the variables of business duration and promotion variables greatly affect the change in MSME income in Polewali District, Polewali Mandar Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to conduct a comprehensive analysis of macroeconomic factors influencing abnormal returns and the role of investor behavior in shaping them. Utilizing a systematic literature review, the study is based on the identification of 39 Scopus-indexed articles published between 2014 and 2024, ranging from Quartile Q1 to Q4. The review explores prior research on abnormal returns to identify key findings, macroeconomic factors impacting abnormal returns, and the role of investor behavior in their formation. Using the Research Plan Systematic Literature Review menu in the Watase application, the term "Abnormal Return" was used as the keyword to locate relevant articles. The findings categorize the literature into two main groups: macroeconomic factors affecting abnormal returns and the role of investor behavior in shaping them. Macroeconomic factors such as economic growth, inflation, and general economic conditions significantly influence abnormal returns. Favorable economic conditions enhance company performance, thereby impacting abnormal returns. Furthermore, investor behavior plays a pivotal role, with overreaction to market information often causing abnormal returns, while underreaction can influence long-term return patterns. Investor strategies, including momentum and contrarian trading, are influenced by stock network effects. Understanding these behavioral dynamics is essential to analyzing stock market patterns and their implications for abnormal returns.

Abstract

Soil classification is needed because each type of soil has specific properties and characteristics, potential and constraints for certain uses. This study aims to classify soil according to local community knowledge on agricultural land lithosequences and their equivalents based on Soil Taxonomy in Latawe Village, West Muna Regency. The research method used is a free survey method that refers to the Geological Map Unit (SPG) with the type of soil profile observation. Soil classification according to local knowledge is carried out using a qualitative method with a social approach by interviewing the local community of Latawe Village and then matching the soil classification based on USDA Soil Taxonomy. The results of soil classification on agricultural land lithosequences according to local community knowledge are in SPG 1A (alluvium parent material) classified as wite kakuni (yellow soil), SPG 2A (limestone parent material) classified as wite kaghito (black soil), SPG 1B (alluvium parent material) classified as wite bhone (sandy soil), and SPG 2B (limestone parent material) classified as wite awu (calcareous soil). The results of soil classification according to local community knowledge are matched with Soil Taxonomy, namely profile I is included in the Inceptisols order, profile II is included in the Alfisols order, profile III is included in the Ultisols order, and profile IV is included in the Vertisols order. Lithosequences contribute to different soil properties and characteristics, both classified according to local farmer knowledge and the Soil Taxonomy system
