Abstract

Important conceptual activities are carried out to deal with the environmental crisis by preserving the environment through reforestation. The condition of developing areas and the changing function of space for development requires the concept of greening. Humans are one of the determining factors for efforts to preserve the environment while having the role and responsibility of empowering environmental wealth for the survival of the ecosystem. The purpose of this community service activity is to revive natural aesthetics, trees as air fresheners, and flood mitigation. Community service with greening efforts to preserve the environment uses the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method as a basis. The results obtained include the creation of a fresh, healthy, and cool atmosphere, nature becomes maintained and clean, and the addition of new knowledge to do reforestation through planting tree seedlings.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and describe various efforts made to shape the religious character of students through the extracurricular activities of Islamic Spirituality (Rohis) Pro Patria at YP 17 High School Surabaya. The main problem in this study is how Rohis's activities function as an effective medium in developing the religious character of students, amidst the moral challenges of today's young generation. This study applies a qualitative approach with a case study design. The data collection process was carried out through observation techniques, in-depth interviews with Rohis instructors, Islamic Religious Education teachers, and active Rohis members, and documentation of activities. The results of the study showed that Rohis extracurricular activities at  YP 17 High School Surabaya were carried out in a structured manner through routine programs such as Islamic studies (Hadith Arbain, Tauhid, Fikih, and Muhadharah), Reading and Writing the Qur'an (BTQ), Islamic arts (Sholawat Quraniyah and Al-Banjari), and the habituation of daily worship such as the call to prayer and congregational prayer. These programs play an active role in instilling religious values, forming positive habits, and increasing students' spiritual awareness. The implication of this finding is the importance of supporting and developing religious-based extracurricular programs as part of the character education strategy in schools.

Abstract

The junior high school level is where students have started to feel less interested or less motivated to learn, especially in PAI subjects, therefore the author is interested in how PAI teachers apply active learning strategies in increasing students' learning motivation at Bahrul Ulum Middle School, Surabaya, where the location of this research is located. Dolly's village is said to be quite poor, then the researcher formulates a problem that needs to be researched, namely about how to implement active learning strategies and what the supporting and inhibiting factors for implementing active learning strategies. Researchers use a type of qualitative research method with an empirical approach, then the data collection method the author gets through observation, interviews, and documentation. the data sources that researchers obtained were from the school principal, several PAI teachers, several students, and school social media, such as websites and Instagram. After all the data has been collected, the next stage is the data analysis technique by means of data reduction, data presentation, and data verification, including the data validity technique by triangulation and consisting of source, technical, and time triangulation. The results of this research are that PAI teachers have implemented active learning strategies using various learning models to suit learning needs, PAI teachers also always encourage students, and in every school, there are motivational words for students. And the supporting factor is the availability of school facilities to make learning easier, then the inhibiting factor is the condition of the classrooms, which are hallways that disrupt the learning of other classes.

Abstract

Effective Qur'an learning is an essential aspect of Islamic religious education, particularly in improving the ability to read the Qur'an correctly and fluently. The Tilawati method is a learning approach emphasizing talaqqi musyafahah to improve letter pronunciation and tajwid. This study aims to optimize the implementation of the Tilawati method at TPQ Al-Fath Griya Kartika Desa Cemandi to enhance reading fluency and tajwid comprehension among students. The methodology employed is the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, utilizing interviews and observations as data collection techniques and involving lecturers, students, and the community in the community service activities. The results indicate significant improvements in Qur'an reading fluency, tajwid understanding, and student motivation. Therefore, the Tilawati method is proven to be an effective learning model for Qur'an education that provides sustainable positive impacts for the surrounding community

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini merupakan hasil kolaborasi antara Guru Pondok Pesantren Al Badriyah dan Forum Komunikasi Pendidikan Al-Qur’an (FKPQ) Surabaya Selatan. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 27 Februari 2025 di Pondok Pesantren Al Badriyah Sidoresmo dan diikuti oleh lebih dari 50 peserta yang terdiri dari pendidik, pengelola, dan pemerhati pendidikan Al-Qur’an di wilayah Surabaya dan sekitarnya.Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kompetensi dasar guru Al-Qur’an, khususnya dalam manajemen kelas, teknik mengajar, dan keterampilan dasar murattal. Pelatihan dilakukan dalam bentuk ceramah dan demonstrasi langsung.Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dari peserta dan peningkatan pemahaman terhadap pentingnya pengembangan diri sebagai pendidik Al-Qur’an. Peserta dinilai mampu memahami dan menerapkan keterampilan dasar yang dilatihkan selama kegiatan. Kegiatan ini juga menjadi bagian dari implementasi Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi dalam bentuk pengabdian kepada masyarakat.

Abstract

Guru  Taman Pendidikan Al Qur’an (TPQ) At Taqwa Panjangjiwo Tenggilis Mejoyo Surabaya  mempunyai kemampuan mengajar  membaca  Al Qur’an yang  cukup  dan  siap  untuk  dikembangkan.  Dengan  potensi  dan bakat yang  mereka  miliki mereka bisa  menuangkan keinginannya  dengan  melihat kebutuhan  ilmu  tentang baca Al Qur’an  dengan  sempurna, akan tetapi memerlukan buku panduan untuk menyempurnakannya.  Berdasarkan  masalah  potensi  dan  bakat  yang  telah  dimiliki  tim pengabdian, maka  dilaksanakan  program Pendampingan  Dalam  Pengembangan  Metode  Pembelajaran  Al Qur’an Bagi Guru Taman Pendidikan Al Qur’an (TPQ) At Taqwa Panjangjiwo Tenggilis Mejoyo Surabaya Melalui Pelatihan “Pembelajaran Al Qur’an Metode Tilawati”.Dengan  adanya  program  tersebut,tim  berharap  pada  mitra  dampingan mampu mengembangkan bakat potensi yang mereka miliki dan dapat menyalurkan pada murid-murid Taman Pendidikan Al Qur’an (TPQ) At Taqwa Panjangjiwo Tenggilis Mejoyo Surabaya. Bentuk  program  ini  adalah Pembelajaran  Al Qur’an Metode Tilawati,  dengan  menggunakan  metode  ABCD  dan  pendekatan Service  Learning. Hasil  dari  program dan  kegiatan  tersebut peserta mengalami  banyak  perubahan. Guru Taman Pendidikan Al Qur’an (TPQ) At Taqwa Panjangjiwo Tenggilis Mejoyo Surabaya sebelumnya  belum  mengenal  pembelajaran Al Qur’an Metode Tilawati, akan   tetapi   setelah   adanya   kegiatan   tersebut   mereka   dapat   membaca Al Qur’an dan mempraktekkan Metode Tilawati sebagaimana yang diajarkan oleh narasumber

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Ramadhan Safari da'wah guidance program carried out by the students of Hidayatul Mubtadiin Islamic Boarding School in Gemekan, Mojokerto, in enhancing religious understanding within the local community. By using a qualitative research approach, data were gathered through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the Ramadhan Safari program has had a significant positive impact on the increase of religious knowledge, the improvement of worship practices, and the enhancement of moral awareness among community members. Key factors contributing to the success of this program include the well-prepared and relevant religious material provided by the students, which aligns with the needs of the community. The interactive and engaging methods of delivery, such as group discussions, Q&A sessions, and practical guidance, also helped maintain the attention and participation of the audience. Moreover, the active support from the Islamic boarding school’s management, local religious leaders, and community figures played a crucial role in ensuring the program’s success. Their collaboration facilitated a smooth and effective dissemination of knowledge. Ultimately, this research demonstrates that such initiatives can significantly contribute to improving religious understanding and moral development in the community, especially during the holy month of Ramadhan.

Abstract

Program pengajian kitab Fathul Qorib di Mushola Al-Hasan Tambak Oso Waru Sidoarjo diluncurkan dengan tujuan utama untuk memberikan pemahaman yang lebih dalam mengenai ilmu fiqih, terutama berkaitan dengan tata cara pelaksanaan ibadah yang sesuai dengan ajaran Islam. Kitab Fathul Qorib dipilih sebagai referensi utama karena sifatnya yang ringkas dan mudah dipahami, serta mencakup pokok-pokok ajaran fiqih yang relevan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Dengan pengajian ini, diharapkan para jama’ah dapat lebih mudah mengaplikasikan ajaran fiqih dalam ibadah sehari-hari, seperti shalat, zakat, dan puasa, dengan cara yang lebih tepat dan sesuai dengan tuntunan agama. Selain meningkatkan pemahaman teoritis mengenai fiqih, program ini juga memberikan manfaat praktis dalam mempererat hubungan ukhuwah Islamiyah di antara jama’ah. Dengan rutin mengikuti pengajian ini, para jama’ah tidak hanya memperdalam ilmu, tetapi juga memperkuat solidaritas sosial dalam komunitas. Keberlanjutan program pengajian ini di mushola juga menjadi bagian dari upaya melestarikan tradisi keagamaan yang telah lama ada, serta membentuk model yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pemahaman fiqih di kalangan masyarakat. Secara keseluruhan, program pengajian kitab Fathul Qorib ini memberikan kontribusi positif dalam memperkuat pemahaman agama Islam secara lebih mendalam, praktis, dan aplikatif bagi jama’ah Mushola Al-Hasan.

Abstract

Learning media includes various tools and sources of information that function to support the learning process. Choosing the right learning media can affect the way students understand information, so it has the potential to develop students' learning achievement. This research serves to examine the effect of learning media on student learning achievement at the junior high school level. This research was examined using a literature study approach with quantitative methods, which involved reviewing accurate academic information. The results of the study show that learning media as teaching materials have a significant impact on improving students' learning achievement. Creative and interactive learning media can foster students' desire and contribution during learning activities, thus having a positive impact on academic outcomes. This study found that the use of learning media is proven to be effective in realizing more powerful and useful knowledge. The use of learning media in this study can be used as an effective plan to improve the quality of education through student learning achievement at the junior high school level.

Abstract

: Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk mengoptimalkan penggunaan dan pendampingan evaluasi belajar berbasis Computer Based Test (CBT) di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Sidoarjo. Di era digital, penggunaan teknologi dalam pendidikan semakin penting untuk meningkatkan efisiensi, objektivitas, dan akuntabilitas dalam proses evaluasi belajar. Dengan melibatkan serangkaian kegiatan pelatihan, pendampingan teknis, dan sosialisasi, program ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan guru dan peserta didik dalam memanfaatkan teknologi CBT secara optimal. Pelatihan diberikan kepada para guru untuk meningkatkan pemahaman teknis mereka dalam penggunaan platform CBT, serta untuk memperkenalkan cara-cara baru dalam mengelola dan mengevaluasi hasil belajar secara lebih efisien. Selain itu, pendampingan teknis juga dilaksanakan untuk memberikan dukungan langsung dalam penerapan CBT, termasuk solusi terhadap masalah teknis yang muncul selama proses evaluasi. Melalui sosialisasi, peserta didik juga dibimbing untuk lebih memahami manfaat penggunaan CBT dalam ujian mereka, yang dapat meningkatkan transparansi dan objektivitas penilaian. Evaluasi yang dilakukan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan baik pada guru maupun siswa dalam mengimplementasikan sistem CBT. Selain itu, kesiapan Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Sidoarjo untuk menghadapi tantangan evaluasi modern semakin meningkat, baik dari sisi teknis maupun pemahaman terhadap proses evaluasi berbasis teknologi. Dengan demikian, program pengabdian ini berhasil memberikan kontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan kualitas evaluasi pendidikan di madrasah tersebut.
