Abstract

Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) is an evaluation tool used to determine the quality of a school through an educational report. This study aims to describe the process of developing ethnomathematics-loaded AKM test instruments and analyze their validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This study uses a development research approach using the ADDIE model, namely, (1) Analysis, (2) Design, (3) Development, (4) Implementation and (5) Evaluation. The research subjects involved 50 fifth-grade students at SDN Ujungnegoro 01 and SDN Wonokerso 02. The validation results from the validators showed a percentage of 95%, meeting the criteria of being very valid and suitable for testing, while the results of the validity of the items 30 out of 40 questions proved valid. The practicality test obtained an average score of 84% in the good category, and the practicality/readability response by the class teacher obtained a score of 93.06 in the excellent category. Based on peer assessment, the score was obtained with an interval of 91.67 in the excellent category. The effectiveness test is based on the questions' reliability, differentiating power, and difficulty level. The reliability test results from a Cronbach Alpha value of 0.874 indicate that the assessment instrument is highly reliable. The results of the differentiating power test were 14 questions in the sufficient category and 16 in the good category. Based on the results of the 30-question level test, there are eight questions in the easy category, 19 in the medium category, and three in the difficult category. The results showed that the developed numeracy AKM test instrument is valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

The influence of human resource development, work environment, and innovation culture on the effectiveness of state high school teachers in the Riau Islands. This quantitative study used a survey with a population of all state high school teachers in the Riau Islands. The sample consisted of 30 trial respondents and 149 research respondents, selected using stratified random sampling techniques. The research instrument was a Likert scale questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using path analysis techniques. The results showed that the greatest influence was from human resource development (X1) on the profession effectiveness of teacher (X4), with a path coefficient of 0.811 and a contribution of 65.77%. The lowest influence was from the work environment (X2) on the profession effectiveness of teacher (X4) through a culture of innovation (X3), with a path coefficient of 0.356 and a contribution of 12.67%. In conclusion, there is a positive influence of human resource development, work environment, and innovation culture on teacher effectiveness. The implication is that the better the development of human resources, the work environment, and the more innovative the culture, the higher the teacher's. effectiveness

Abstract

The development of information technology in the health sector has facilitated the use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR), which is regulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 24 of 2022. EMR is intended to improve efficiency, accuracy, and security in patient data management. However, this transition also presents legal challenges, especially related to legal protection for health workers. This study aims to analyze the impact of the implementation of EMR on the legal protection of health workers, identify problems that arise, and propose policy recommendations. The method used is normative juridical with an analysis of related regulations and literature studies related to health data management practices. The results of the study indicate that although EMR provides various advantages in health data management, there are still shortcomings in implementation that can pose legal risks to health workers. Based on these findings, this study recommends increasing training and resources for health workers, as well as adjusting the technology infrastructure in health facilities to ensure compliance with the security and privacy standards set by the regulations. These recommendations are expected to support the effectiveness of the implementation of EMR and provide better legal protection for health workers.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Article 127 of Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, especially in North Sumatra Province, with a focus on the use of urine tests as an early detection tool for drug abuse. Through doctrinal and qualitative research methods, this study integrates field data obtained from direct visits to the National Narcotics Agency of North Sumatra Province (BNNP Sumut). The results of the study indicate that urine tests have a significant role in early detection, but there are limitations in their effectiveness due to low sensitivity and specificity, as well as variability in results influenced by various factors. This study also explores the implementation of the rehabilitative approach regulated in the same article, finding that despite infrastructure and budget challenges, the rehabilitative approach is more effective in the long term compared to the criminal approach which often does not address addiction problems holistically. Recommendations from this study are the expansion of rehabilitation facilities, increasing budget allocation for rehabilitation, and developing a more comprehensive preventive approach involving education and public awareness about the dangers of drug abuse to reduce the prevalence of drug abuse in the community.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of Islamic educational videos in improving students' understanding of prayer procedures in grade V of Elementary School. The background of this study is based on the problem of low levels of students' understanding of the sequence of movements and readings in prayer. This is generally caused by learning methods that are still conventional, namely the dominance of lectures and the lack of attractive visual learning media. In this study, the researcher used a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques that included observation of the learning process, interviews with teachers and students, and evaluation tests to measure improvements in student understanding. The subjects of the study were grade V students at a State Elementary School. The results of the study showed that the use of Islamic educational videos had a positive impact on students' understanding. Videos that clearly visualize prayer movements and readings can help students understand the material more deeply. Students also showed a higher interest in learning because the learning media used were more interesting and interactive than conventional methods. Thus, it can be concluded that Islamic educational videos are effective learning media and can be a very good alternative to improve the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning, especially in the material on prayer procedures at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Agricultural residues such as cabbage waste (Brassica oleracea L.) are rich in cellulose and offer promising potential for sustainable microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) production. This study aims to extract and characterize MCC from cabbage waste using an environmentally friendly approach that combines high-speed blending, low-concentration oxalic acid hydrolysis (0–2% w/v), and steam explosion at 130 °C for 15 minutes, under both pressurized and non-pressurized nitrogen (N₂) atmospheres. The application of pressurized N₂ significantly improved delignification efficiency and preserved cellulose crystallinity. The optimal treatment (2% oxalic acid with N₂) yielded a cellulose content of 79.18%, with hemicellulose and lignin contents reduced to 15.28% and 0.10%, respectively. FTIR analysis confirmed the effective removal of non-cellulosic components, while XRD analysis revealed a crystallinity index 66%, which is high compared to typical MCC values from other biowastes (~50–60%). SEM revealed clean and well-dispersed fiber morphology. These results indicate that oxalic acid combined with N₂-assisted steam explosion is an effective and eco-friendly method for producing MCC. This approach minimizes chemical use and oxidation, making it suitable for pharmaceutical excipients, biodegradable composites, and other green material applications. Overall, the process aligns with circular economy principles and contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of learning communities at SMP Negeri 1 Kuala Mandor B in enhancing teachers' motivation to participate in professional development activities related to knowledge, skills, self-confidence, and the implementation of quality learning processes. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and classroom supervision. Activities within the learning community include reviewing teaching modules, classroom teaching practice, and assessment. Teachers collaborate to share best practices in terms of experience, knowledge, and skills in order to determine more effective classroom teaching methods. Collaboration, innovation, and experience sharing among teachers play a vital role in the learning community to improve the quality of education in schools. Enhancing teachers' competencies significantly contributes to the realization of professional classroom management. Learning that applies varied models and strategies, as well as the implementation of differentiation, leads to effective classroom management. Effective learning is achieved through teachers’ competencies in selecting appropriate and varied teaching models or strategies, as well as optimizing student engagement in the learning process.

Abstract

Abstrak Hipertensi ialah suatu penyakit yang paling banyak diderita oleh lansia. Hipertensi tidak ditangani dengan tepat dapat menimbulkan berbagai komplikasi yang dapat memperburuk kesehatan lansia. Banyak faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi kepatuhan lansia hipertensi dalam mengontrol atau mengendalaikan tekanan darahnya. Salah satunya adalah tingkat pengetahuan lansia. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini untuk membantu lansia dalam mencegah dan mengedalikan hipertensi. Pelaksanaan kegiatan berupa pemberian edukasi kesehatan tentang hipertensi dan pengecekan tekanan darah pada lansia.  Kegiatan ini dilakukan di Dukuh Persen Kelurahan Sekaran Kota Semarang pada tanggal 24 november 2024. Peserta kegiatan yaitu 35 lansia. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa 80% lansia di Dukuh Persen Kelurahan Sekaran menderita hipertensi. Lansia terleihat antusia ketika menerima edukasi kesehatan tentang hipertensi. Pemberian edukasi kesehatan membantu lansia memahami status kesehatan maupun penyakit yang mereka derita.Kata Kunci: Edukasi, hipertensi, lansia Abstract  Hypertension is a disease that is most commonly suffered by the elderly. Hypertension if not treated properly can cause various complications that can worsen the health of the elderly. Many factors can affect the compliance of the elderly with hypertension in controlling or controlling their blood pressure. One of them is the level of knowledge of the elderly. The purpose of this community service activity is to help the elderly in preventing and controlling hypertension. The implementation of the activity is in the form of providing health education about hypertension and checking blood pressure in the elderly. This activity was carried out in Dukuh Persen, Sekaran Village, Semarang City on November 24, 2024. The participants in the activity were 35 elderly people. The results of the community service activity showed that 80% of the elderly in Dukuh Persen, Sekaran Village suffered from hypertension. The elderly looked enthusiastic when receiving health education about hypertension. Providing health education helps the elderly understand their health status and the diseases they suffer from.Keywords: Education, elderly, hypertension

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa ekspresif anak usia 4-5 tahun di kelompok A TK PGRI IV/89 Semarang tahun ajaran 2024/2025 melalui penggunaan media Alat Permainan Edukatif (APE) “expression guess box”. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan desain pre-experiment one group pretest-posttest terhadap enam anak yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Penelitian dilakukan pada tanggal 22 Mei 2025 melalui tiga tahap, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Pada tahap perencanaan, peneliti melakukan observasi awal terhadap perkembangan bahasa ekspresif anak untuk mengetahui tingkat kemampuan dan hambatan dalam mengekspresikan perasaan. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan, disusun Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) yang memuat tujuan, materi, metode, serta evaluasi pembelajaran. Selanjutnya, media APE “expression guess box” dirancang sebagai sarana interaktif yang membantu anak mengenali dan mengekspresikan berbagai jenis emosi melalui permainan edukatif. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran dimulai dengan kegiatan pembuka berupa doa, pemanasan, dan lagu-lagu bertema ekspresi, kemudian dilanjutkan penjelasan serta praktik bermain dengan media APE. Penilaian dilakukan dua siklus, sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan; siklus awal menunjukkan sebagian anak baru mulai berkembang atau belum berkembang, sementara setelah intervensi dua anak berkembang sangat baik, tiga anak sesuai harapan, dan tidak ada anak yang belum berkembang. Evaluasi akhir mengindikasikan bahwa media APE sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa ekspresif secara verbal dan non-verbal, serta membantu perkembangan sosial-emosional anak. Meskipun demikian, beberapa anak membutuhkan stimulasi tambahan untuk mengembangkan ekspresi wajah yang lebih natural dan rasa percaya diri. Penelitian merekomendasikan pengembangan pembelajaran yang kreatif dan berkelanjutan agar kemampuan bahasa ekspresif anak semakin optimal.

Abstract

Law enforcement against perpetrators of physical violence in the household is an important part of protecting victims, especially women. This study aims to analyze the factors causing physical violence in the household, the efforts to overcome it carried out by the Tual Police, and the forms of law enforcement against perpetrators. This study uses a descriptive analytical method with a normative and sociological juridical approach. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, documentation, and literature studies. The results of the study indicate that the factors causing Domestic Violence in the jurisdiction of the Tual Police include alcohol abuse, economic problems, infidelity, and low legal education. The Tual Police have made efforts to overcome this through preventive and repressive measures, but the implementation of law enforcement still faces obstacles such as withdrawal of reports by victims, lack of facilities, and limited human resources. This study recommends increasing the capacity of law enforcement officers and public education as an effort to strengthen the protection system for victims of Domestic Violence.
