Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Make A Match learning model in improving Arabic vocabulary mastery on the sports theme among third-grade students of SDIT Al-Bashirah Palopo. The main problem addressed in this study is the low level of students’ vocabulary mastery, which affects their overall language skills. This research employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 17 students. Data were collected through tests, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the average pre-test score of 36.00 increased to 77.06 in the post-test. The paired sample t-test result indicated a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning there was a significant difference. The novelty of this study lies in the application of the Make A Match model specifically focused on sports-themed vocabulary at the elementary school level, as well as the integration of game-based cooperative activities that enhance student engagement. Therefore, this model is proven effective in improving Arabic vocabulary mastery among elementary school students

Abstract

This study uses a quantitative method that is used is the Quasi Experiment method. The population subjects in this study were 57 students of class IV MI Darul Akhyar. By taking a sample of two classes, class IV C 28 students as the control class and class IV D 29 students as the experimental class. Pretest in the control and experimental classes. Hypothesis testing was carried out using the t-test of the separated variance type with a significant level of ∞ = 0.05 for n = 55 in the experimental and control classes. Because the results of data processing are obtained t_(count)=1.02 and t_(table) = 1.67, because t_(count)< t_(table) then H_0 is accepted. Thus at the beginning of learning there is an influence on student learning outcomes between the experimental and control classes. While the hypothesis is carried out using the t test with a significant level of ∞ = 0.05 for n = 55 in the control class and the experimental class. Because the data is normal and homogeneous, dk = n_1 = n_2 – 2. Based on the results of data processing, it is obtained t_(count)=6.39 and t_(table) = 1.67, because t_(count )< t_(table) then H_0 is accepted.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the success rate, validity level, and level of science literacy through the use of Kompas media (IPAS Comics) integrated with the CIRC learning model in grade 4 of elementary school. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with preliminary study, design and development, and testing steps. The research subjects are fourth-grade students of Yos Sudarso Cluster Elementary School in Banyubiru District. The research variables consist of Kompas media as the independent variable, and the science literacy abilities of fourth-grade students as the dependent variable. Data collection was conducted using interview instruments for teachers and observation sheets. Product feasibility testing was conducted through validation by subject matter experts, media experts, and learning design experts. The results of the subject matter expert validation showed a percentage of 98% in the very high category, media experts showed a percentage of 91.66% in the very high category, and learning design experts showed a percentage of 95.55% in the very high category. Product trials were conducted using the pre-experimental design technique. The level of science literacy showed an initial science literacy value obtained through a pretest of 60.30 and a final science literacy value obtained through a posttest of 87.87. The data analysis technique of the research results used t-test analysis. Based on the t-test, the Sig. value (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05. This means that the Kompas learning media is effectively used in the learning process to improve the science literacy abilities of fourth-grade students.

Abstract

Sepak takraw merupakan olahraga tradisional Asia Tenggara yang berkembang pesat di Indonesia, khususnya melalui ajang Olahraga Nasional (PON). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perkembangan sejarah sepak takraw dalam PON, meliputi kategori pertandingan, jumlah nomor, serta tren prestasi daerah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif melalui studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sepak takraw mulai dipertandingkan sejak tahun 1981 dan terus mengalami perkembangan baik dari segi struktur pertandingan maupun kualitas kompetisi. Selain itu, terdapat pola beberapa daerah dalam perolehan prestasi pada PON terbaru. Disimpulkan bahwa PON memiliki peran penting dalam pembinaan atlet dan peningkatan prestasi olahraga nasional.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih ditemukannya perilaku kurang peduli lingkungan pada siswa, seperti membuang sampah tidak pada tempatnya dan tingginya penggunaan plastik sekali pakai, meskipun sekolah telah melaksanakan Program Adiwiyata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi Program Adiwiyata dalam menumbuhkan sikap peduli lingkungan siswa kelas V di SD Negeri Bojong 3 Kota Tangerang serta mengidentifikasi bentuk-bentuk kegiatan yang mendukung pembentukan sikap tersebut. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek penelitian kepala sekolah, guru, dan siswa kelas V. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data diuji melalui triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi Program Adiwiyata telah dilaksanakan melalui empat komponen utama, yaitu kebijakan berwawasan lingkungan, kurikulum berbasis lingkungan, kegiatan lingkungan berbasis partisipatif, dan pengelolaan sarana pendukung ramah lingkungan. Program tersebut diwujudkan melalui kegiatan rutin seperti piket kelas, Jumat Bersih, Operasi Semut, penghijauan, pemilahan sampah, penerapan prinsip 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), serta pemanfaatan lingkungan sekolah sebagai sumber belajar. Bentuk kegiatan Program Adiwiyata meliputi aspek kebersihan, sanitasi dan drainase, pengelolaan sampah, penanaman dan pemeliharaan pohon, konservasi air, konservasi energi, serta inovasi ramah lingkungan. Implementasi program terbukti berkontribusi dalam menumbuhkan sikap peduli lingkungan siswa melalui pembiasaan, keteladanan, dan partisipasi aktif dalam berbagai kegiatan lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the 3R Program (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) in fostering environmental awareness among fifth-grade students at Cipete Public Elementary School in Tangerang City. The study employed a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the 3R Program has been implemented through activities such as reducing plastic use, reusing items that are still in good condition, and sorting and processing waste. The program plays a role in fostering students’ environmentally conscious character, as demonstrated by habits such as maintaining cleanliness, disposing of waste according to type, and conserving water and electricity. Thus, the implementation of the 3R Program at Cipete 3 in Tangerang City has been successful and supports the development of students’ environmentally conscious character.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using the Mari Belajar Islam educational game on students' Fiqh learning outcomes in the topic of wudhu procedures for fourth-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 2 Pontianak. This research used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a nonequivalent control group design. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class that used the Mari Belajar Islam game and the control class that used conventional learning methods. Data were collected through pretest and posttest instruments and analyzed using the Wilcoxon test with the assistance of SPSS 27. The results showed that students' learning outcomes increased after using the educational game. The experimental class obtained a higher posttest average score compared to the control class. The hypothesis test showed an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that the use of the Mari Belajar Islam game had a significant effect on students' Fiqh learning outcomes. Therefore, educational games can be used as an effective and interactive learning medium to improve students' understanding of wudhu procedures.

Abstract

This research aims to develop “Kaleng Indah” learning media based on recycling to improve elementary school students’ environmental care character. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The subjects included material experts, media experts, teachers, and students at SDN Lebak Wangi, Tangerang Regency. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and assessment questionnaires. Data analysis used quantitative and qualitative descriptive techniques. The results showed that “Kaleng Indah” media obtained a feasibility level of 90% from media experts, 95% from material experts, and 95% from teachers’ assessment, categorized as Highly Feasible. The application of this media provided direct learning experiences that effectively improved students’ awareness, creativity, and environmentally responsible behavior. This media also supports the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, especially the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project on the theme of Sustainable Lifestyle.

Abstract

Teacher performance is a key factor in determining the quality of mathematics instruction in elementary schools. This study aimed to evaluate teachers’ performance in mathematics learning at SD Negeri 2 Temurejo using the Charlotte Danielson Model. A mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory design was employed. The quantitative phase involved six classroom teachers from grades I–VI selected through total sampling. Data were collected through observations, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation based on four domains: Planning and Preparation, Classroom Environment, Instruction, and Professional Responsibilities. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, while qualitative data were analyzed through data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that Planning and Preparation reached 79.2% and was categorized as good, while Classroom Environment reached 83%, Instruction 82%, and Professional Responsibilities 84%, all categorized as very good. Professional Responsibilities achieved the highest score, whereas Planning and Preparation obtained the lowest. Teachers demonstrated strengths in subject-matter knowledge, formulation of learning objectives, classroom management, feedback provision, instructional reflection, and communication with parents. However, improvements are still needed in instructional model variation, learning media utilization, systematic learning activity design, questions promoting mathematical reasoning, technology use, and continuous professional development. These findings indicate that the Charlotte Danielson Model provides a comprehensive framework for evaluating teacher performance and identifying priority areas for improving the quality of mathematics instruction in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study addresses the limited availability of critical thinking assessment instruments that comprehensively measure university students' competencies in higher education. Existing FRISCO-based instruments are constrained by suboptimal internal consistency, a predominant focus on cognitive dimensions, limited assessment of critical thinking dispositions, and potential subjectivity arising from inconsistent interpretation of assessment criteria. To overcome these limitations, the Critical Thinking Skills Measurement Instrument (CTSMI) integrated with the Critical and Creative Thinking Research-based Learning (CCTRbL) model was developed. This study aimed to examine the validity, effectiveness, implementation fidelity, and user acceptability of the integrated CTSMI. A mixed-methods approach combining a pre-experimental design and Collaborative Action Research (CAR) was employed, involving four lecturers and a hundred undergraduate students. Expert validation by specialists in psychology, linguistics, and educational evaluation produced mean scores of 77.0, 77.8, and 72.0, respectively, confirming the instrument's validity. Empirical testing yielded a Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.734, while Corrected Item–Total Correlation values demonstrated that all items met the validity criterion (r ≥ 0.30). Implementation of the CTSMI integrated with the CCTRbL model resulted in a mean critical thinking score of 68, indicating a high level of performance. The findings demonstrate that the CTSMI is a valid and reliable instrument for assessing and promoting university students' critical thinking skills. Furthermore, the instrument exhibited strong user acceptability and was implemented effectively, supporting its applicability as a comprehensive assessment tool for higher education learning environments.
