Abstract

study discusses the quality or service by using five dimensions, namely Tangibles, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, and Empathy at the Salon and Spa Muslimah Baiti Ummi. The research method used is the descriptive quantitative method while the population and sample used are costumers or consumers in the Salon and Spa Muslimah Baiti Ummi and the distribution of questionnaires as many as 76 respondents. Collecting data using the method of observation, interviews and questionnaires. The data analysis used was the mean test, Tki analysis, validity test, and reliability test. Based on the results of research on the Salon and Spa Muslimah Baiti Ummi it is said to be good. This can be seen from the results of the analysis with the amount of data as many as 76 respondents which can be seen from the average level of importance that is 4.04 and while the average value og the performance level is 4.02. So the level of conformity between the level of performance og the Salon and Spa Muslimah Baiti Ummi with the level of importance hat not fully achieved customer expectations because the conformity level is less than 100%. Abstract

Introduction: The impact of obesity greatly influences morbidity rates and leads to increase the risk of knee osteoarthritis (KOA). Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the short-term effect of intra-articular injection of hypertonic dextrose prolotherapy (HDP) on femoral cartilage (FC) thickness among KOA with obese patients. Methods: This is a quasi-experimental clinical trial study. KOA patients with obesity registered from May to August 2023 in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) RSUD Haji Provinsi Jawa Timur, Surabaya, Indonesia. The intervention group received an HDP injection, while the control group received a normal saline (NS) injection. The FC thickness was scanned with musculoskeletal ultrasound (US) before the intervention, 2 weeks, and 6 weeks after intervention. Mean difference within-group and intra-group was analyzed statistically with a significant value of P < 0.05. Results: 38 participants who were diagnosed with KOA and obesity were involved in this study. The FC thickness before intervention in the NS group at the LC, IC, and MC sites was 1.47 ± 0.45 1.23 ± 0.47 1.33 ± 0.49 mm, respectively, while in the HDP group it was 1.57 ± 0.70 1.38 ± 0.65 1.33 ± 0.61 mm. Within-group analysis of each group from pre-intervention until 6 weeks using repeated measurement ANOVA showed significant values in the HDP group at all sites, including LC, IC, and MC, with each value P < 0.05. Conclusions: The short-term effect of HDP injection is beneficial in increasing FC thickness in KOA with obese patients.

Abstract

The integration of local traditions into science education has the potential to enhance student engagement, cultural relevance, and academic performance. This study explores the development of an innovative integrated science curriculum that incorporates the rich cultural heritage of Southern Tapanuli, Indonesia. The research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing purposive sampling to select approximately 30 participants, including teachers, students, and community members. Data collection involves semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis. Thematic analysis reveals five key themes: Cultural Relevance (107 mentions), Engagement (127 mentions), Community Involvement (71 mentions), Practical Applications (39 mentions), and Challenges (31 mentions). Content analysis further highlights the importance of cultural context (30.7%) and participant interaction (36.0%). Comparative analysis indicates significant differences between groups, with Group A demonstrating higher mean scores (82.5 vs. 75.2, p<0.05) and success rates (78% vs. 65%, p<0.01). Inferential statistics, including t-tests (t=2.45, p=0.018), ANOVA (F=4.67, p=0.012), and chi-square tests (χ²=10.30, p=0.015), support the existence of significant differences and associations between variables. These findings align with previous research emphasizing the benefits of interactive teaching methods and community engagement in education. The study concludes that culturally responsive teaching approaches and community involvement can significantly enhance student motivation and achievement in science education. Future research should further explore these relationships in diverse educational settings to validate and extend these findings.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an educational game tool, the alphabet box, to help Group B children at TK Al Pikri Bojongmangu recognize letters. Early childhood has unique characteristics and requires positive stimulation for the development of various aspects, including language development. Language development in children is very important as it is a tool for thinking, self-expression, and communication. The research method used is research and development (R&D) with both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The development process of this game tool involves several stages, starting from needs analysis, design, prototyping, to testing and evaluation. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires given to teachers and children at TK Al Pikri Bojongmangu. The results of the study show that the alphabet box is effective in improving children's ability to recognize letters. Children become more interested and motivated to learn letters through this game. Teachers also responded positively to the use of this tool in the learning process. The conclusion of this study is that the alphabet box can be an effective and enjoyable tool for letter recognition for early childhood. The use of educational game tools like this can optimally support children's language development.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the project-based learning (PBL) model in improving critical-reflective thinking skills in students. The PBL model was applied to two groups of students: an experimental group that followed project-based learning and a control group that followed conventional learning. This study used an experimental design with a pre-test and post-test to measure changes in critical-reflective thinking skills. Data were also collected through observation sheets and students' reflective journals. The results showed that the experimental group that applied the PBL model experienced a significant increase in critical-reflective thinking skills, with a significant difference in pre-test and post-test scores (p < 0.05). Meanwhile, the control group that followed conventional learning did not show a significant change. Analysis of the reflective journal showed that students in the experimental group were able to identify strengths and weaknesses in their thinking process, as well as evaluate the solutions they chose in the project. Based on these results, it can be concluded that project-based learning is effective in improving students' critical-reflective thinking skills, as well as encouraging active involvement and collaboration. This study recommends the use of the PBL model as an alternative to improving critical-reflective thinking skills in higher education.

Abstract

Recently, people have suffered from many serious illnesses, such as  kidney, cancer, osteoporosis, etc. One of the triggers is that the food eaten by human is not free from heavy metals. These heavy metals enter through the food chain during the crop cultivation. These heavy metals can come from artificial agrochemical inputs (such as synthesis P fertilizers and pesticides). One way to avoid the entry of heavy metals into plant is by implementing organic farming. Organic farming is an agricultural system that does not use synthetic chemical. The implication of organic farming are (1) maximizing the use local resources, (2) minimizing the use of chemical inputs, (3) ensuring biological functions, (4) maintaining a diversity of plant and animal species, (5) creating an attractive overall landscape that provides satisfaction for local communities, and (6) increasing the intensity of plants and animals in the form of polyculture, agroforestry, crop/animal systems integrated livestock etc. If organic farming principles are followed consistently then the food produced will be healthy and safe for humans and animals and save for land sustainability to support smart farming. Another benefit of organic farming is that natural resources will be sustainable and the environment will be protected from pollution and damage. To convince the Indonesian and global community, the organic products produced must be certified independently, the basis of which is SNI 6729-2016.

Abstract

Pengetahuan merupakan hasil dari “tahu” yang terjadi setelah orangmengadakan penginderaan terhadap suatu objek tertentu terutama melalui matadan telinga. Ibu hamil adalah seorang wanita yang mengandung dimulai darikonsepsi sampai lahirnya janin. upaya pencegahan/preventif adalah sebuahusaha yang dilakukan individu dalam mencegah terjadinya sesuatu yang tidakdiinginkan. Jenis penelitian ini merupak penelitian menggambarkan denganmenggunakan rancangan studi cross sectional tujuan penelitian yaitu untukmengetahui Hubungan Pengetahuan Ibu Hamil Terhadap Upaya PencegahanInfeksi Covid-19 Di Klinik Pratama Fatimah Ali II Tahun 2021. Dalam penelitianini teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik totalsampling yaitu jumlah populasi yang ada dijadikan sebagai sampel penelitian.Jadi sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak45 orang. Hasil pengujian hipotesisuntuk melihat hubungan antara variabel X dan variable Y adalah dengan tarafsignifikan (α) = 5% (0,05) dan df = 1 diperoleh hasil p.value = 0,001 pada df = 1dimana sig < α (0,001 < 0,05) maka dapat diketahui ada hubunganpengetahuan ibu hamil terhadap upaya pencegahan infeksi Covid-19 Di klinikPratama Fatimah Ali II. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan kepada pihakpemilik klinikPratama Fatimah Ali II agar terus memberikan informasi terkait infeksi viruscorona khususnya kepada ibu hamil agar pengetahuan ibu hamil bertambah danibu hamil dapat melakukan upaya pencegahan infeksi covid-19.Kata Kunci : Pengetahuan, Upaya Pencegahan Infeksi Covid-19

Abstract

Limbah hasil peternakan salah satunya bulu ayam yang dapat digunakan sebagai pakan alternatif untuk meminimalisir biaya pengeluaran untuk pakan ikan. Pakan merupakan salah satu faktor penting untuk menunjang pertumbuhan ikan sehingga butuh produksi yang sangat banyak. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efisiensi pemanfaatan bulu ayam sebagai pakan alternatif. Bulu ayam berpotensi dimanfaatkan sebagai pakan ternak karena memiliki kandungan protein yang tinggi, yaitu 80 - 90% dari bahan kering, melebihi kandungan protein kasar bungkil kedelai (42,5%) dan tepung ikan (66,5%). Potensi limbah bulu ayam di Indonesia kurang lebih sebanyak 167 ribu ton per tahun. Bulu ayam memiliki kandungan protein yang tinggi, tetapi protein bulu ayam merupakan jenis protein yang sulit dicerna oleh ikan karena tergolong protein keratin. Metode yang digunakan dalam mengolah limbah bulu ayam hingga menjadi pakan yaitu proses fermentasi yang melibatkan bakteri Bacillus yang dapat mendegradasi keratin. Fermentasi bulu ayam menggunakan bakteri dapat meningkatkan kadar protein kasar sebanyak 2-15%. Tepung bulu ayam fermentasi pada pakan dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan ikan sebesar 2-5% lebih cepat.

Abstract

Objective: To identify the effectiveness of flashcard media in increasing children's interest and motivation in knowing hijaiyah letters, especially at TPQ Shaqul Al Husna in Indonesia. Theoretical framework: Based on the Visual Learning Theory (Dual Coding Theory) and the Learning Motivation Theory (Self-Determination Theory), flashcards are seen as able to effectively combine visual and verbal information, while creating a fun learning experience. Literature Review: The use of flashcards has been proven to accelerate the mastery of hijaiyah letters by up to 80%, increase attention and retention in early childhood, and attract attention through interactive designs with colours and illustrations. Methods: Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with teachers and parents of students as well as literature reviews. Results: The results of the study showed that the use of card media (flashcards) succeeded in increasing children's interest and motivation in knowing hijaiyah letters. Interactive design with colors, illustrations, and relevant keywords helps children more easily recognize and remember hijaiyah letters. This approach creates a more fun and effective learning atmosphere than conventional methods. Implications: These findings are relevant to be applied in formal and non-formal education while offering a new approach to teaching hijaiyah letters that is more effective and fun. Novelty: This research contributes by Developing an interactive and specific flashcard design for learning hijaiyah letters.

Abstract

Industri akuakultur menghadapi tantangan besar akibat penyakit infeksius yang dapat menurunkan produktivitas dan menyebabkan kerugian ekonomi signifikan. Salah satu pendekatan yang menjanjikan dalam meningkatkan ketahanan ikan terhadap penyakit adalah penggunaan vaksin rekombinan, yang dikembangkan melalui teknik kloning gen. Kloning gen memungkinkan identifikasi dan ekspresi antigen spesifik dari patogen ikan untuk digunakan dalam pembuatan vaksin yang lebih efektif dan aman. Vaksin rekombinan menawarkan keunggulan dibandingkan vaksin konvensional, termasuk kemudahan produksi, stabilitas yang lebih baik, dan potensi untuk mengatasi berbagai patogen secara spesifik. Dalam review ini, dibahas berbagai teknik kloning gen yang digunakan dalam pengembangan vaksin rekombinan, seperti PCR, kloning plasmid, dan CRISPR. Selain itu, dikaji pula contoh aplikasi vaksin rekombinan untuk pencegahan penyakit yang disebabkan oleh bakteri dan virus pada ikan, serta tantangan dan masa depan pengembangannya. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa vaksin rekombinan memiliki potensi besar untuk meningkatkan kesehatan ikan dalam akuakultur dan berkontribusi pada keberlanjutan industri perikanan global.
