Abstract

The findings in the field indicate that the learning process currently occurring, particularly at Nurul Hikmah Mandung Bangkalan Junior High School, is still predominantly conducted through the presentation of verbal information. It is evident that the teachers at this institution continue to employ learning methods that are not optimal. A mere 30% of students utilize innovative learning methods, resulting in suboptimal learning outcomes. Of the 22 students, 15 (70%) scored below the KKM in PAI lessons. One method for engaging students in the learning process is to utilize a variety of learning models, including the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model (Riswati, Alpusari, Marhadi, 2018). The objective of this study is to assess the impact of PBL on student learning outcomes and critical thinking skills at Nurul Hikmah Mandung Kokop Bangkalan Junior High School. The research design employed in this study is quantitative. The results of the Pillai's Trace, Wilks' Lambda, Hotelling's Trace, and Roy's Largest Root tests yielded a significance value of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. This indicates that there is a statistically significant influence between the PBL learning model and critical thinking skills, as well as PAI learning outcomes, among students at Nurul Hikmah Mandung Kokop Bangkalan Junior High School.

Abstract

Problems related to interest in learning are: students’ interest in learning as a whole has not been formed, lack of identifying and knowing their interests and talents in learning, interest that has not been directed properly either by the students themselves or by external parties, interest that has not been explored properly in learning, students' interests are not implemented enough to achieve the goals of their interests. Analyzing the influence of video as a learning medium on the learning motivation of class VIII students at Nurul Mustofa Tanjungbumi Middle School, Bangkalan Regency. The design in this research used quantitative research. Quantitative research is research that emphasizes objective phenomena with a survey approach or other measurements that are described with quantitative numbers. Based on Table 1, the data obtained shows that the Fcount value is 3.300. After the Fcount value is obtained, the next step is to determine the Ftable value. In determining the Ftable value. The level of significance in this research is 0.05, df 1, namely df 1 = (number of variables-1) becomes df 1 = (3-1) = 2, and df 2 is 23, obtained from (df) = n-k-1. N is the number of research samples and k is the number of independent variables in the research, so df = 26-2-1=23. Thus, the Ftable value is 1.161. The test results show that Fcount > Ftable (3,300 > 1.161). It can be concluded that there is a significant influence of video-based learning media on interest and motivation to learn.

Abstract

Advancements in laboratory technology have driven the adoption of more efficient and environmentally friendly analytical methods, in line with the principles of Green Analytical Chemistry (GAC). This study aims to optimize the performance of a microplate-based UV-Vis spectrophotometer for determining protein content in food samples using the Biuret method. The method is based on a colorimetric reaction between Biuret reagent and peptide bonds in proteins, forming a purple complex whose absorbance is proportional to protein concentration. Three dilution methods were evaluated: mL-microplate, µL-microplate, and mL-cuvette, based on parameters including maximum wavelength, linearity, and accuracy. All methods showed the same maximum absorbance wavelength (562 nm), indicating reaction stability. The mL-cuvette method achieved the highest linearity (R² = 0.998), while the mL-microplate method demonstrated the best accuracy (91.00%) and most consistent results in tempeh and yogurt samples. Meanwhile, the µL-microplate method offered acceptable accuracy (90.25%) with significantly reduced reagent volume, supporting the GAC approach. Therefore, the mL-microplate method is recommended as the primary technique for protein analysis using UV-Vis spectrophotometry, while the µL-microplate method provides an efficient and eco-friendly alternative for modern laboratory applications.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of understanding the language of love on the resilience of young Muslim Generation Z families. The rising trend of divorce among young people in Indonesia, including among Muslims of all generations, highlights the importance of examining the affective aspects and emotional communication within families. This study employs a mixed-method approach with a sequential exploratory design, beginning with a qualitative study followed by a quantitative phase. The study focuses on Muslim Generation Z couples residing in Banjarmasin City, South Kalimantan Province. In the qualitative phase, interviews were conducted with five Muslim Generation Z married couples to explore the dynamics of love languages and marital resilience. These findings served as the basis for developing a quantitative survey instrument, which was distributed to 102 respondents. Quantitative data analysis revealed that the most dominant love languages were Acts of Service (70.6%) and Physical Touch (69.6%). Pearson's correlation indicated a moderate positive relationship between understanding of love languages and the level of family resilience among young Muslim couples (r = 0.56). Respondents who felt understood in their love language tended to have more effective communication, higher emotional bonds, and the ability to resolve conflicts more maturely. The practical implications of these findings are important for educational institutions, religious counselors, and family coaches in nurturing a resilient and harmonious young generation of Muslim families.

Abstract

Contemporary Islamic education faces serious challenges related to moral degradation, the weakening of social empathy, low self-control, and declining discipline among students, particularly in the context of globalization and digital culture. This article aims to analyze the values of character education contained in the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad through a thematic study using the perspective of living sunnah. This study employs a qualitative approach with library research, focusing on thematic (maudhu‘i) analysis of hadith related to character education. Primary data are drawn from selected prophetic hadiths and supported by secondary sources, including scholarly books and journal articles discussing living sunnah, character education, and contemporary educational issues. The data are analyzed by classifying the hadiths according to the main themes of character education and interpreting them within the framework of living sunnah. The findings indicate that the concept of living sunnah views hadith as living values that are internalized through the habituation of attitudes and behaviors. The thematic analysis reveals three core character values, such as social character and empathy, self-control, and manners and discipline, which are closely interconnected in shaping students’ moral integrity, emotional maturity, and sense of responsibility. The study concludes that character education based on living sunnah offers a relevant and contextual framework for addressing contemporary moral challenges by transforming prophetic teachings into lived ethical practices.

Abstract

Qualitative research has methodological and epistemological characteristics that fundamentally distinguish it from quantitative approaches, particularly in understanding complex, dynamic, and meaningful social realities. This article aims to comprehensively analyze the paradigm and philosophical foundations underlying qualitative research, with an emphasis on its ontological, epistemological, and axiological dimensions. The research employs a literature review method by examining various scientific sources, including research methodology textbooks, national and international journals, and works related to the philosophy of science. The analysis technique used is content analysis to identify and synthesize key concepts related to the qualitative research paradigm. The results show that qualitative research is rooted in interpretive and constructivist paradigms, which view reality as plural, subjective, and constructed through social interactions and human experiences. From an epistemological perspective, knowledge is understood as the result of an interactive relationship between the researcher and the research subject, positioning the researcher as the primary instrument in the research process. Meanwhile, from an axiological perspective, qualitative research acknowledges the role of values, ethics, and the reflexivity of the researcher throughout the research process. This study is expected to strengthen the conceptual and philosophical understanding of researchers in designing and conducting qualitative research in a scientific, reflective, and responsible manner.
