Abstract

The decline of national values and the weakening of Pancasila-based character education among young generations pose a significant challenge in shaping Indonesia’s Golden Generation 2045. This community service program, entitled Rangkai Nusantara, aims to develop a digital innovation platform that strengthens national values and Pancasila-oriented character education. The program was implemented through participatory, technology-based training activities involving interactive workshops, digital content creation, mentoring, and dissemination of student-produced educational works. The target group consisted of junior high school students in Bandar Lampung. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ understanding of Pancasila values, creative digital literacy, and the establishment of a youth network promoting national values through digital platforms. This program demonstrates that integrating digital innovation into character education can foster patriotic awareness, digital citizenship, and moral integrity. Rangkai Nusantara thus serves as a replicable model of technology-based character education to empower Indonesia’s young generation in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contribution of the integration of local wisdom values in learning Social Studies (IPS) towards strengthening the character of Junior High School (SMP) students. In the midst of globalization and rapid technological development, local cultural values are often marginalized, even though they contain great potential in the formation of national character and identity. Through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach with thematic analysis of various studies from 2017-2025, this study found that the integration of local wisdom in social studies learning is able to instill values of mutual cooperation, tolerance, responsibility, and love for the country. The strategies used include contextual learning, local culture-based projects, and the development of teaching media relevant to the lives of surrounding communities. The role of the teacher is a key factor in internalizing these values through exemplary, collaboration with the community, and the application of the principles of the Pancasila Student Profile. The results also show that local wisdom-based learning increases student engagement, strengthens cultural identity, and encourages the formation of strong social and moral character. Thus, the integration of local cultural values in social studies learning not only functions as cultural preservation, but also as an effective strategy in shaping a young generation with character, noble character, and global competitiveness

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing moral disengagement among PPKn students at the University of Lampung. The factors examined include external and internal factors that contribute to students' tendency to release moral control. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method of 66 PPKn students at the University of Lampung. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive techniques through frequency distribution to determine the tendency of moral disengagement levels for each indicator. The results indicate that PPKn students at the University of Lampung are in the dominant category of moral disengagement, with the most dominant mechanisms being shifting of responsibility. Students tend to release personal moral responsibility on the grounds of actions carried out collectively, based on orders, or due to group pressure and academic demands. Other mechanisms such as moral justification, favorable comparisons, and distortion of consequences also strengthen students' tendency to justify unethical behavior.

Abstract

In this qualitative study, we would like to discover the national character development and cultural education from a local wisdom. The results obtained indicate that Indonesian national education today still faces a number of significant problems. The educational outcomes have not met the expected expectations, in which the learning process in schools is still unable to form the integrity of the graduates and reflect the character and culture of the nation. The education process tends to focus on the cognitive aspects, while the affective aspects that are essential for living in society have not been optimally developed. Therefore, the development of the education of the character and culture of the nation has become a must to be done in schools. Schools as the centre of change must pursue education based on the character and culture of the nation with seriousness. The character and the culture of a nation developed in the school must be in harmony with the local, regional, and national character and cultures. To these goals, the education of character and cultural nation must be developed based on local wisdom.

Abstract

The development of the 21st century education paradigm demands a learning approach that is able to develop learners' high-level thinking skills (HOTS), such as analysis, evaluation, and creation. One effective approach is the constructivism model, which focuses on the active role of learners in building knowledge through direct experience, social interaction, and reflection. This study aims to examine the application of constructivism learning model based on LKPD (Learner Worksheet) to improve HOTS of high school students. The method used is systematic literature review (SLR) which analyzes various previous studies related to the application of constructivism in developing HOTS. The results showed that the use of LKPDs designed according to the principles of constructivism and supported by project-based learning strategies, inquiry, and problem solving effectively improved students' critical, analytical, and creative thinking skills. In addition, the application of this model is also able to improve the collaboration, creativity, and character of learners, making it relevant to prepare a generation of adaptive and innovative learners to face global challenges. This finding confirms the importance of integrating constructivism and HOTS approaches in the modern education curriculum

Abstract

This research focuses on the forms of religious moderation practices, the supporting and inhibiting factors, as well as their contribution to shaping inclusive character as reflected through students’ attitudes of tolerance, empathy, and inclusive communication. The research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving students, teachers, and school authorities. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, with data validity ensured through triangulation. The results show that religious moderation practices are manifested through the implementation of worship activities for three religions and the fair attitude of teachers in the classroom, such as equitable group division without distinguishing students’ religious backgrounds. Religious moderation plays a role in forming students’ tolerance, which is reflected in mutual respect when other religious groups are performing worship by not causing disturbances. In addition, religious moderation fosters empathy and social concern through activities such as reminding one another about worship, providing social assistance during floods, visiting orphanages, and supporting peers who experience difficulties in social interaction. Religious moderation also builds inclusive communication, where teachers’ fair responses to differences encourage students to express opinions and participate in discussions without fear of being blamed or discriminated against, resulting in open and respectful communication. Supporting factors of religious moderation include a school culture that upholds tolerance, opportunities for worship for all religions, and students’ awareness and positive attitudes toward diversity. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include differences in students’ individual social characteristics and the potential for joking remarks that may lead to ridicule.
