Abstract

This study aims to determine how the implementation of the Jigsaw-type Cooperative Learning model can improve learning outcomes in Islamic Cultural History (SKI) among eighth-grade students of MTs Arifah Gowa, Pallangga District, Pangkabinanga Subdistrict. The type of research used in this undergraduate thesis is descriptive quantitative research. The quantitative method is referred to as a traditional method because it has long been widely used and has become a conventional approach in research. It is called quantitative because the research data are presented in numerical form and analyzed using statistical techniques. As implied by its name, descriptive research aims to describe, explain, and validate the phenomena under investigation. The implementation of the Jigsaw-type Cooperative Learning model in teaching Islamic Cultural History (SKI) to eighth-grade students at MTs Arifah Gowa, Pallangga District, Pangkabinanga Subdistrict, was carried out through systematic learning stages, including the formation of heterogeneous home groups, distribution of learning materials to each group member, formation of expert groups, discussion of materials within expert groups, and the re-presentation of the material to the home groups. During the implementation process, students were actively involved in discussions, presentations, and cooperative group activities. Each student was responsible for understanding and conveying the portion of the material assigned to them, thereby fostering positive interactions among students. The teacher acted as a facilitator by guiding the learning process and providing reinforcement of the material. The effectiveness of the Jigsaw-type Cooperative Learning model in improving SKI learning outcomes can be observed through a comparison of students’ learning results before and after the implementation of the learning model. The results of the study indicate an improvement in students’ learning outcomes following the application of the Jigsaw model

Abstract

The Rentak Kapuas Dance is a traditional dance from West Kalimantan that reflects the spirit of the people in living life. This dance combines traditional Malay and Dayak movements that have been developed to be more interesting and dynamic. Fan props are used to symbolize water and rivers, and depict the siluk fish or arowana, icons of West Kalimantan that symbolize splendor and prosperity. This dance has agile and energetic movements, symbolizing the spirit and tenacity of the people of West Kalimantan in facing life. The Rentak Kapuas Dance combines elements of soft Malay dance with more expressive and powerful Dayak dance movements. Some versions of this dance use fans as the main prop, symbolizing water and the Kapuas River as the source of life. Dance movements are often inspired by the surrounding nature, including the movement of water, fish, and other elements that represent local wisdom. It is usually accompanied by traditional musical instruments such as Malay drums, gambus, and Dayak musical instruments to create a unique West Kalimantan atmosphere. The Rentak Kapuas Dance is not just entertainment, but also has a deep philosophy about togetherness, prosperity, and harmony in life. This dance depicts how people from different backgrounds can live.

Abstract

Ntobo Specta is a community service program implemented by students of the Community Service Program (KKN) of the Bima College of Economics (STIE) as an effort to support the development of a creative economy based on local potential in Ntobo Village. Ntobo Village is known as one of the centers of traditional weaving craftsmen who are the main source of income for most of the community. However, promotion and marketing of woven products are still limited, so innovative activities are needed to increase the attractiveness and economic value of local weaving. Ntobo Specta activities are packaged in the form of a bazaar for weaving MSMEs and a fashion show made from typical Ntobo woven fabrics involving elementary, middle, and high school students. This activity aims to introduce Ntobo weaving to the wider community, increase the interest of the younger generation in local culture, and open marketing opportunities for weaving MSMEs. The implementation method is carried out through the stages of coordination, activity preparation, event implementation, and evaluation. The results of the activity show that Ntobo Specta is able to be an effective medium for promoting culture and the creative economy. The enthusiasm of the community and participants has a positive impact on increasing the existence of Ntobo weaving as a superior regional product. Furthermore, this activity also stimulates economic growth in the community by increasing awareness of local woven products and expanding the marketing network for MSMEs. Thus, Ntobo Specta is a form of community empowerment that integrates cultural preservation with strengthening the creative economy based on local wisdom.
