Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at SMP Negeri 2 Diwek and its problems. A qualitative approach was used with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews and observations. The results showed that the Merdeka Curriculum had been implemented for one year through student-centered learning, the development of the Pancasila Student Profile, and the provision of flexibility in choosing teaching materials. The obstacles found included the diversity of student characteristics, low motivation, limited facilities and infrastructure, difficulties in assessment, teacher workload, and limited learning time. Recommended solutions include mapping student characteristics, differentiated instruction, increased motivation, development of instructional media, assessment training, coordination to reduce teacher burden, optimization of time allocation, integration of PAI values, and student guidance services. Collaborative implementation of these solutions can improve the quality of the Merdeka Curriculum implementation in PAI learning to realize national education goals.

Abstract

This article aims to discuss the concept of trustworthiness in the Qur'an, Surah Al-Ma'arij verse 32, and its relevance to the values and ethics of modern life. This research is classified as library research, with data collected from academic literature. In analyzing the data, a historical approach was used. The results of this study state that in the context of this verse, the nature of trust refers to the responsibility and trust given to a person, whether in the form of tasks, obligations, or promises. This verse emphasizes the importance of keeping trust and fulfilling promises as part of the character of a true believer. There are many examples of amanah in everyday life, such as amanah fitrah, amanah ibadah, amanah dakwah and jihad, amanah harta, amanah menjaga keselamatan dan kehormatan orang lain, amanah dalam menjaga rahasia, amanah kekuasaan, amanah ilmu pengetahuan, amanah terhadap diri sendiri, and amanah keluarga. Trust requires confidence, and confidence gives birth to inner peace, which in turn gives birth to conviction. Trust is not merely something material, but also non-material, and all of it is commanded by Allah to be fulfilled properly. There is trust between humans and Allah, between humans and other humans, between humans and their environment, and between humans and themselves. Each has its own details, and every detail must be fulfilled.

Abstract

After its golden age in the 1980s, Indonesian detective fiction experienced a period of decline during the 1990s. In the following decades, many young writers emerged with their own detective works. However, despite its long history, post-1980 Indonesian detective fiction has continued to receive limited scholarly attention. Its position within academic literary studies remains less prominent compared to other genres that are more frequently discussed in Indonesian literary discourse. This research addresses the problem of how Indonesian detective fiction after the 1980s is positioned within the landscape of Indonesian literature, how the aesthetic forms and ideologies of detective works from each decade are manifested, and how post-1980 Indonesian detective fiction not only transforms in terms of form and position but also becomes a negotiation arena between social, political, and cultural discourses. The study employs a sociological approach to literature, by using Pierre Bourdieu’s theory of the literary field and Terry Eagleton’s aesthetics of ideology, this study offers a novel perspective on how Indonesian detective fiction after the 1980s negotiates market pressures, symbolic capital, and cultural discourse. The findings reveal that, after the 1980s, Indonesian detective fiction shifted from a semi-heteronomous to a semi-autonomous position within the literary field, as seen in the works of S. Mara Gd. (1990), E.S. Ito (2005), and Sabda Armandio (2014). Aesthetically and ideologically, the genre transformed from linear, moralistic narratives to experimental, metafictional, and reflective forms that critique power, history, and social values. Consequently, post-1980s Indonesian detective fiction functions as a negotiation arena where social, political, and cultural elements interact, turning popular entertainment into a medium of social critique.

Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the density of stomata and stomatal structure on Mango leaves in each ring of the cement factory area. The research is descriptive analysis. Sampling was done through a random survey in the Indonesian cement industry Tuban factory which was divided into 3 rings, namely Ring 1 Ring 2 and Ring 3. The parameters observed were stomatal density and damage. The results showed that the density of stomata in Ring 1 showed a percentage of 0.162 which showed a low density while Ring 2 was 371, 91 which showed a medium density and Ring 3 was 449.07 which showed a medium density. The results presented in Table 2 on the level of stomatal damage show a difference in the percentage of stomatal damage on mango leaves (Mangifera indica) located in Ring 1 and Ring 2. In stomata in Ring 1 with a greater percentage of stomatal damage, which is 34.7% compared to stomatal damage to mango leaves located in Ring 2 by 20.7% and Ring 3 by 11%. The conclusion of this study shows that the density and damage to the stomata of mango leaves (Mangifera indica) can be influenced by the concentration of pollutants. the level of density and stomatal damage in the Semen Indonesia Tuban area shows that the closer to the factory area the higher the level of air pollution which causes the nearest area to have high stomatal damage and high stomatal density.

Abstract

Academic resilience is an important factor in determining student success. Any disparities that may exist between male and female students in the English education program are important in order to ensure that all students have equal opportunities for academic success. An academic resilience adaptation questionnaire was employed in this quantitative study with third semester English education program students. Despite being a smaller percentage of the third semester English education program population, this study indicated that more male students have a high level of academic resilience. Another finding was that male and female students share a similar percentage of students who had low levels of academic resilience. The results of this study support the findings that show gender has an effect on academic resilience.

Abstract

This study investigates crucial elements for developing speaking fluency in English as second language, using a case study approach. It identifies internal and external factors influencing language acquisition, focusing on a 16-year-old vocational high school student in Indonesia. The research highlights the importance of linguistic input and a supportive environment. Factors such as early exposure to English through formal and informal education, family support, hobbies and a conducive home environment are shown to significantly impact language learning success. The study employs qualitative methods, including interview and speaking proficiency tests, to examine the subject’s learning process and identifies macroenvironmental and microenvironmental influences on her language development. It concludes that both types of environments are important for achieving proficiency in a second language.
