Abstract

The main problem in this study was the low quality of passing, particularly in terms of strength and speed, among futsal extracurricular students at SMAN 6 Palopo. This study aims to analyze the effect of training using belt training and ankle weights on improving passing skills. The method used is an experiment with a pretest-posttest two-group design. A total of 30 students were divided into two groups: Group A was given training using belt training and Group B used ankle weights for 16 sessions. Passing ability was measured using a 30-second wall passing test. Data analysis showed that both groups experienced a significant improvement in passing after the treatment, based on the paired sample t-test (p < 0.05). However, the independent sample t-test proved that there was a significant difference between the two groups (p = 0.000). The belt training group showed a greater average improvement (from 13.07 to 19.33) than the ankle band group (from 12.80 to 16.20). The conclusion of this study is that although both are effective, training using belt training proved to be statistically more effective than ankle bands in improving students' futsal passing skills.

Abstract

Low shooting accuracy is a problem faced by SSB MIJ players. This study aims to analyze the effect of modified training equipment (target net) and resistance bands on improving shooting accuracy. The method used is quantitative with a two-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 20 players divided into two groups. The measurement instrument used was the Bobby Charlton shooting test. The data were analyzed using a t-test with SPSS. The results showed that both training methods were significant in improving shooting accuracy. The t-value (8.260) was greater than the t-table (2.093) with a significance of 0.000 < 0.05. Only one player did not experience an improvement. The results of the independent sample t-test also showed a significant difference between the two groups. More specifically, the group that used the modified target net showed a more effective improvement than the group that used resistance bands. The conclusion of this study is that both the modified target net and resistance bands have a positive effect on shooting accuracy, but training with the target net proved to be more effective. Therefore, this modification of training equipment can be recommended to coaches as an applicable training method to improve the shooting accuracy of young soccer players.

Abstract

The problem of this study is that the ability to shoot using the instep is not yet optimal, which is a crucial problem for futsal extracurricular students at SMA Negeri 5 Palopo. The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe specifically the level of ability to shoot using the instep in these students. This quantitative descriptive research method uses a survey approach. The sample consisted of 15 students, taken using total sampling technique. The research instrument was a shooting test from a distance of 10 meters to a standard futsal goal divided into nine scoring zones (1-5). The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics with the help of SPSS software. The results revealed a wide variation in ability. A total of 40% of students (6 people) were classified as “poor,” 20% (3 people) as “fair,” 33% (5 people) as “good,” and only 7% (1 person) as “very good.” The average score obtained was 12.93, which falls within the “fair” category. It was concluded that the ability to shoot using the instep among futsal extracurricular students at SMA Negeri 5 Palopo was generally still at a sufficient level and not yet optimal. These findings indicate the need for a more structured, intensive training program that focuses on improving basic techniques to increase shooting accuracy and power.

Abstract

The level of youth participation in sports in Indonesia needs attention, while on the other hand, the use of social media in the lives of young people is becoming increasingly widespread. This situation raises questions about whether there is a relationship between these two phenomena, particularly in the city of Palopo. This study aims to analyze the influence of social media use on the level of youth participation in sports in the city. A quantitative approach was applied using a survey method with an online questionnaire (Google Form) distributed to 100 adolescents aged 10-24 years as a sample, selected using purposive sampling. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and tested using Spearman's correlation and simple linear regression. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between social media use and sports participation (p = 0.291 > 0.05). Further regression analysis also confirmed that there was no significant effect (p = 0.881 > 0.05), with an R² value of 0.034. The conclusion of this study is that social media use does not significantly affect youth sports participation in Palopo City, where only 3.4% of the variation in sports participation can be explained by social media, while the remaining 96.6% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

The low quality of crescent kick skills, which includes aspects of speed, accuracy, strength, balance, and coordination. This is often caused by a lack of leg muscle strength and body stability, which are vital physical components to support the effectiveness of kicking techniques. This study aims to empirically test the effect of weight training on improving the skill of the sabit kick in Pencak Silat athletes from the Persinas ASAD Academy in Palopo City. The method used is a quasi-experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 10 athletes selected through purposive sampling. The intervention consisted of a leg muscle weight training program (such as squats, lunges, calf raises, and leg presses). Data were collected using a validated observation sheet and analyzed using a paired sample t-test. The results of the study proved a significant increase, where the average score for scythe kick skills rose from 65.30 (fair category) in the pretest to 79.60 (good category) in the posttest. The t-test results showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). The conclusion of this study is that weight training has a significant and positive effect on improving the skill of the sabit kick.

Abstract

The Constitutional Court (MK) as the guardian of the constitution plays an important role in upholding constitutional justice in the Indonesian constitutional system. However, the independence of MK judges is still vulnerable to political intervention, both in the legislative process and in the appointment and dismissal of judges. This study uses a normative juridical method with a legislative and conceptual approach. The results of the study show that this vulnerability is influenced by the revision of the Constitutional Court Law, which is fraught with political interests, the interference of political institutions in the selection of judges, and conflicts of interest in several controversial decisions. To strengthen the independence of the Constitutional Court, regulatory reforms based on meritocracy, external supervision through the Judicial Commission, transparency and public participation in the selection process and decisions, as well as the reinforcement of judges' ethics and integrity are needed. With these steps, it is hoped that the Constitutional Court will consistently carry out its function as the guardian of the constitution, uphold the principle of the rule of law, and protect the constitutional rights of the Indonesian people.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas intervensi mindfulness dalam latihan futsal terhadap peningkatan akurasi dan konsistensi passing pada peserta ekstrakurikuler di SD Negeri 1 Balong, Kecamatan Balong, Kabupaten Ponorogo. Metode yang digunakan Quasi-eksperimen desain pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 20 siswa yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler futsal secara rutin. Intervensi dilakukan melalui latihan teknik passing segitiga dan passing ke dinding tembok yang dipadukan dengan teknik mindfulness. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai pretest dan posttest, baik pada kelompok latihan passing segitiga (Z=-3,745; p=0,000) maupun passing ke dinding tembok (Z=-3,746; p=0,000). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa intervensi mindfulnessmampu meningkatkan performa passing siswa baik dari segi akurasi maupun konsistensi. Sehingga intervensi mindfulness dalam latihan futsal merupakan pendekatan yang efektif untuk mengembangkan keterampilan teknik dasar passing pada siswa sekolah dasar dan memberikan implikasi positif terhadap pengembangan program pelatihan olahraga berbasis psikologis dalam pendidikan dasar. Kata kunci: Mindfulness, Futsal, Passing, Akurasi, Konsistensi, Ekstrakurikuler

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis tingkat kepuasan masyarakat terhadap pelayanan publik dan kinerja Pemerintah Kota Batam. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan instrumen kuesioner terstruktur yang mengacu pada sembilan atribut Survei Kepuasan Masyarakat (SKM) sesuai PermenPANRB Nomor 14 Tahun 2017. Data dikumpulkan dari 120 responden masyarakat Kota Batam yang telah menggunakan layanan publik pemerintah dalam satu tahun terakhir. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji instrumen, perhitungan skor persepsi rata-rata, nilai rata-rata tertimbang, dan konversi ke Indeks Kepuasan Masyarakat (IKM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai IKM sebesar 87,00 yang berada pada kategori Baik. Atribut produk/jasa layanan memperoleh tingkat kepuasan tertinggi, sedangkan prosedur dan waktu pelayanan memperoleh nilai terendah. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pelayanan publik di Kota Batam telah berjalan dengan baik, namun masih memerlukan perbaikan berkelanjutan terutama pada aspek proses pelayanan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of training using resistance bands and medicine balls on the smash ability of volleyball extracurricular students at SMA Frater Palopo. The research was conducted from May to June 2025 at SMA Frater, located in Palopo City, South Sulawesi Province. The research method used was an experimental method with a two-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 20 students divided into two groups: Group A used resistance band training and Group B used medicine ball training, with a total of 16 treatment sessions. The instrument used was a smash test with five target attempts. The data analysis results showed that both types of training had a significant effect on improving smash ability. Based on the paired sample t-test, a significant value (p < 0.05) was obtained in both groups. Furthermore, the results of the independent sample t-test showed no significant difference between Group A and Group B (p = 0.067). Therefore, it can be concluded that resistance band training and medicine ball training do not have a significant difference in improving the smash ability of volleyball extracurricular students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the motivation of Palopo City residents to participate in sports activities. Regular physical activity plays a vital role in maintaining physical and mental health, yet levels of sports participation in various regions, including Palopo City, vary. This study employed a quantitative approach with a survey method distributed to 100 respondents from various age groups, genders, and occupations. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics to identify factors influencing exercise motivation, such as intrinsic motivation (health, fitness, enjoyment) and extrinsic motivation (physical appearance, social pressure, facilities). The results showed that the majority of residents were motivated by health and fitness factors, while facilities and the social environment also had significant influences. These findings are expected to serve as a basis for local governments and relevant agencies in designing more targeted and sustainable sports programs.
