Abstract

Ekspatriasi atau penugasan ke luar negeri adalah strategi personalia utama yang digunakanperusahaan multinasionaluntuk mengisi posisi manajerialdemi keberlanjutan dan keberlangsungan hiduporganisasi.Lebih lanjut, individu yang terlibat dalam penugasan ke luar negeri, terutama ekspatriat, cenderung mengalami masalah dalam beradaptasi dengan lingkungan budaya negara tuan rumah karena praktik budaya yang berbeda dari negara asal mereka. Bekerja di negara asing sangat tertekan, penuh tekanan dan banyak ekspatriat yang gagal. Oleh karena itu, tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi dan mendapatkan wawasan lebih mendalam terkait strategi adaptasi budaya dan penyesuaian diri ekspatriat di negara tuan rumah. Sebuah pendekatan kualitatif menggunakan metode studi pustaka atau kepustakaan dengan memanfaatkan data sekunderdari berbagai sumber literatur yang relevan untuk menjawab gambaran umum dan memberikan pedoman agar ekspatriat dapat meningkatkan praktik dan efektivitas kinerja di negara tuan rumah. Faktor penentu utama bagi keberhasilan adaptasi dan penyesuaian diri yaituekspatriat harus mempersiapkan diri sebelum keberangkatan, memiliki motivasi serta kemauan untuk belajar tentang budaya dan bahasa negara tuan rumah, menyesuaikan perilaku dengan lingkungan dan budaya baru, dan pentingnya keterlibatan perusahaan agar mengadakan pelatihan lintas budaya tempat ekspatriat ditugaskan. Penelitian selanjutnyaharus mempertimbangkan untuk menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan sampel yang besar agar dapat mengindentifikasi dan menganalisis faktor-faktor penghambat dan tantangan ekspatriat di negara tuan rumah.

Abstract

This literature review aims to identify the key factors influencing the success and failure of expatriates in leadership roles within Indonesian companies, focusing on cross-cultural adaptation in the context of International Human Resource Management (IHRM). This study employs a literature review method to analyze the cultural challenges expatriates face in Indonesia, especially regarding high power distance, collectivism, and a preference for indirect communication. Findings indicate that adaptability to these cultural dimensions is crucial for expatriates’ success, particularly in adjusting their leadership style to align with local expectations that emphasize hierarchy and group harmony. Organizational support, such as cultural training, language assistance, and mentoring programs, is considered essential in facilitating this adaptation process. Paternalistic and democratic leadership styles that prioritize employee well-being and involve employee participation have proven effective in building trust within Indonesian teams. The study also highlights the importance of managing cultural stereotypes and biases and the need for reintegration programs to address reverse culture shock when expatriates return to their home countries. By valuing local culture, expatriates can reduce cultural resistance and enhance team collaboration. These findings suggest that expatriate success relies on strong cultural adaptability and adequate organizational support

Abstract

Employee engagement is a crucial element in enhancing individual performance, especially for expatriates working in multinational companies like Perusahaan. This study aims to analyze the impact of employee engagement on expatriate performance in the context of multinational companies. Employee engagement, which includes involvement, commitment, and job satisfaction, has been shown to significantly contribute to individual performance, especially for expatriates facing challenges of cultural adaptation and new work environments. Organizational support, cross-cultural training, and social support networks in the workplace are key factors in enhancing employee engagement. These findings indicate that companies need to develop effective strategies to improve employee engagement to achieve optimal performance from expatriates.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the leadership styles of Chinese expatriates managing multinational companies. The primary focus is on how Chinese cultural values, such as Confucianism, collectivism, and guanxi, influence their leadership approaches and the cross-cultural adaptation challenges they encounter. Data was collected through a literature review of 8 relevant previous studies. The method used is a comparative literature review to synthesize findings. The results show that Chinese expatriates' leadership style is characterized by hierarchical and collective approaches, but flexibility and adaptation to Indonesian cultural values significantly enhance cross-cultural teamwork effectiveness. This study provides recommendations for comprehensive cross-cultural training to strengthen leadership competencies in multinational corporations.

Abstract

This study examines the adaptation and retention of expatriate employees in the context of international human resource management. Adopting a systematic literature review (SLR) approach, the research identifies critical factors influencing expatriate success, including cultural differences, cross-cultural training, organizational support, individual motivation, and family welfare. The findings reveal that integrated strategies, such as pre-departure training, ongoing mentorship during assignments, and policies addressing expatriates' personal and family needs, significantly enhance international assignment outcomes. This research provides strategic insights for multinational corporations to develop innovative HR management policies, fostering a globally competent, adaptable, and competitive workforce in international markets.

Abstract

This research investigates the influence of product competitiveness (PC) and green supply chain mana-gement (GSCM) on firm performance (FP) in Indonesia's plastic recycling industry, with a particular emphasis on the mediating role of import regulation (IP). Furthermore, it evaluates the moderating effect of top management commitment (TMC) on the relationship between GSCM and PC, as well as between PC and FP. Data were collected through questionnaires administered to employees and business stake-holders within the plastic supply chain and subsequently analyzed using PLS-SEM via SmartPLS. Hypotheses were formulated to explore the interactions among PC, GSCM, IP, TMC, and FP within a circular economy framework. The findings indicate that government import regulations significantly enhance PC and FP. Moreover, TMC strengthens the efficacy of GSCM, resulting in improved FP. The study highlights the environmental and economic benefits of the circular economy, particularly its potential to reduce dependence on imported virgin plastic in Indonesia. These results underscore the critical role of regulatory support and management commitment in advancing sustainable practices within the plastic recycling sector.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the positive influence of environmental awareness, knowledge and product quality on decisions to purchase green products: Case Study of Consumers in the West Jakarta Region. Data collection in this research was carried out using a survey method by distributing 150 questionnaires using the sampling technique used. In this research, accidental sampling technique was used. The accidental sampling technique is the withdrawal of a sample size if the exact population size is not known. This research uses multiple regression analysis with the SPSS version 26 program as a tool for processing and analyzing research results. The results of the hypothesis test show that the Environmental Awareness variable has a significant effect on Green Product Purchasing Decisions. The knowledge variable has a significant effect on Green Product Purchasing Decisions. The product quality variable has a significant effect on green product purchasing decisions. And the variables environmental awareness, knowledge and product quality together (simultaneously) have a significant effect on green product purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Studi ini mengusulkan hubungan antara praktik International Human Resources Management (IHRM) dan Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) dalam perusahaan multinasional guna membangun citra perusahaan. Dengan memanfaatkan praktik IHRM yang efektif, perusahaan dapat meningkatkan inisiatif CSR yang berdampak positif terhadap citra perusahaan. Penelitian ini menyoroti bagaimana strategi pengelolaan SDM di skala global mampu mendorong keterlibatan karyawan dalam program CSR, meningkatkan komitmen perusahaan terhadap keberlanjutan, serta menciptakan citra positif di mata publik dan stakeholder. Penelitian menggunakan metode literature review, penelitian ini menganalisis 10 artikel ilmiah dari berbagai jurnal terkemuka yang membahas hubungan antara IHRM, CSR, dan citra perusahaan. Melalui kajian literatur dapat diusulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara IHRM dan CSR, di mana praktik IHRM yang efektif dapat secara langsung meningkatkan inisiatif CSR di perusahaan multinasional, yang pada gilirannya berkontribusi pada penguatan citra perusahaan. IHRM memainkan peran strategis dalam mendukung pelaksanaan inisiatif CSR, khususnya melalui yaitu (1) expatriation management, (2) global human capital, dan (3) international human resource policies and practices. CSR multidimensi, yang meliputi aspek economic, ethical, legal dan philanthropic, terbukti memberikan dampak positif terhadap reputasi perusahaan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjadi sebuah solusi kepada objek wisata lain berdasarkan faktor memorable tourism experiences yang dapat mempengaruhi keinginan wisatawan untuk berkunjung kembali ke destinasi wisata. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian penjelasan (explanatory research) dengan pendekatan deskriptif dan kuantitatif. Sampel sebanyak 160 responden yang merupakan wisatawan yang minimal 1 (satu) kali dalam 1 (satu) tahun terakhir pernah mengunjungi Bali sebagai pilihan destinasi wisatanya yang berdomisili di Jakarta. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan metode angket dimana responden menjawab pertanyaan yang disusun dalam bentuk pilihan dan skala pertanyaan menggunakan skala likert. Metode analisis dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif, dan alat analisisnya adalah SEM atau structural equation modeling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel destination image berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap revisit intention, memorable tourism experiences berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap destination image, memorable tourism experiences berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap revisit intention, memorable tourism experiences berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Satisfaction, Satisfaction berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap revisit intention. Hal ini memiliki implikasi yang signifikan bagi industri pariwisata di Indonesia, khususnya destinasi lain yang ingin meningkatkan kunjungan ulang. Strategi pengelolaan destinasi sebaiknya difokuskan pada meningkatkan kualitas pengalaman wisata dengan mempertimbangkan elemen-elemen yang telah teridentifikasi sebagai penentu utama pengalaman yang berkesan. Dalam hal ini, pelatihan bagi pelaku industri pariwisata dan penduduk lokal untuk meningkatkan layanan dan interaksi yang ramah, serta pengembangan program-program unik yang menarik bagi wisatawan dapat menjadi langkah yang efektif.

Abstract

The primary objective of training is allowing MSMEs to gain advantages from technology through providing businesses access to QR code viewers for electronic payment transactions. Personal guidance is provided in the Kalibata Canteen. The training program has been set for April 21, 2024, Sunday. MSMEs whose have not yet utilized digital payment media are the target audience for this training program. a review of what was discovered and the discussion before it, MSMEs who view technology as an instrument of expediting transactions need this training. MSMEs ought to comprehend the significance that digitization is to prospering in a disruptive society and ensuring business sustainability in the face of increased rivalry. Offering a supplementary payment option, such as scanning QRIS, is one way MSMEs utilize technology. Through implementation of technology, MSMEs may lead the way. In order encouraging MSMEs to be more widely accepted and for consumers to prefer shopping at MSMEs, both of these factors are improving.
