Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pemanfaatan Literacy Cloud dalam meningkatkan motivasi membaca dan pemahaman bacaan siswa kelas 3 SDN Percobaan 2 Malang. Masalah utama yang diteliti adalah rendahnya motivasi membaca siswa dan keterbatasan akses bacaan konvensional yang kurang menarik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, dilaksanakan selama empat minggu pada bulan Oktober hingga November 2024. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi aktivitas membaca siswa, wawancara dengan guru dan siswa, serta analisis hasil tulisan siswa mengenai unsur intrinsik cerita. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Literacy Cloud berhasil meningkatkan motivasi membaca siswa, yang terlihat dari peningkatan partisipasi aktif mereka dalam membaca dan diskusi cerita. Pemahaman bacaan juga meningkat, yang dibuktikan dengan kemampuan siswa menuliskan unsur cerita secara tepat. Interaktivitas dan visualisasi dalam platform Literacy Cloud menjadi faktor utama yang menarik perhatian siswa dan memfasilitasi pemahaman mereka terhadap teks bacaan. Studi ini merekomendasikan penggunaan Literacy Cloud sebagai metode pembelajaran literasi yang efektif dan menarik untuk sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This article examines the effect of principal-shared instructional leadership, learners’ characteristics, and differentiated instruction strategies support on the quality of pedagogical practices mediated by classroom interventions. This instructional strategy is used along with the implementation of the independent curriculum, and teachers have to pay attention deeply to students’ learning needs. This study was conducted as explanatory research on mover teachers throughout Indonesia, and 890 teachers participated voluntarily. Path analysis is utilized to estimate variables relationships. The study revealed that principal-shared instructional leadership and differentiated strategies positively and directly affect the quality of pedagogical practices, and learners’ characteristics only contribute to an indirect effect. The findings suggest that school principals have significant roles in mobilizing stakeholders and facilitating learning resources for providing classroom interventions appropriately for students to learn. As an implication, accomplishing the quality of pedagogical practices will be able to achieve students’ learning performances.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a project-based STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) learning tool for the "Meliuk Menerjang" material in the Emancipated Curriculum for grade IV students in Indonesian elementary schools. The objective is to create a tool that is feasible, practical, and effective in improving student learning outcomes. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach, specifically following the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. Data was collected through validation from material and design experts, questionnaires, and student performance assessments. The study included 25 students and 20 teachers from various elementary schools in Malang City to identify the needs and effectiveness of the project-based STEM learning model. Data analysis was performed using SPSS for effectiveness analysis and qualitative analysis for feedback and validation results. Findings: The project-based STEM learning model demonstrated high feasibility with significant improvements in students' understanding and skills. Validation results showed that the content was relevant and supportive of STEM skill development. Both teachers and students positively accepted the learning model, indicating increased confidence and motivation. Conclusion: Integrating project-based STEM learning in the Emancipated Curriculum positively impacts student engagement, motivation, and learning outcomes. This approach fosters critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork among elementary students, preparing them for future technological challenges.

Abstract

The concept of merdeka belajar is a characteristic of the kurikulum merdeka. This concept is the basis for teachers in implementing learning, including in the IPAS subject. The purpose of this study is to describe how teachers understand, interpret, and apply independent learning in IPAS learning as well as efforts to continue to fight for IPAS learning with interesting presentations. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, documentation at SDN Banaran 2 Kandangan Kediri which were then described qualitatively descriptively, analyzed using the Miles and Huberman technique, and validated by triangulation. The results of this study show that the merdeka mengajar platform is a medium for teachers to understand merdeka bealajar, reflection on recognizing themselves and their role as educators as an effort to interpret merdeka bealajar, and the obligation to complete independent training on the merdeka mengajar platform; binding policies from structural education authorities from sub-districts and school clusters; and the absence of guidelines that truly integrate science and social studies in learning are the difficulties of teachers in implementing merdeka bealajar. This research can be a consideration for policy holders, curriculum developers, and education practitioners as an effort to optimally implement the independent curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Genially Web-based Gamification learning media within the framework of Joyful Learning to improve elementary school students' literacy and numeracy learning outcomes. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the Lee & Owens model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Validation was carried out by subject matter experts and media experts, while practicality was tested by teachers and students. Effectiveness was tested through a one-group pretest and post-test design. The results showed that the Genially-based learning media obtained a highly valid rating from subject matter experts (88.33%) and media experts (82.5%). The practicality test received a very good response from teachers (90%) and students (97.39%). In addition, students’ learning outcomes in both literacy and numeracy domains showed a significant improvement. The average literacy score increased from 68.12 (pretest) to 88.74 (post-test), while the numeracy score increased from 66.22 to 89.38, resulting in an overall average N-Gain of 0.667 (medium–high category). These findings confirm that the integration of gamification through Web Genially creates a fun, interactive, and effective learning experience that simultaneously strengthens literacy comprehension and numeracy problem-solving skills among elementary school students.

Abstract

Kemampuan Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) pada siswa sekolah dasar menjadi kompetensi krusial pada lingkup pendidikan. Hal ini dikarenakan sejumlah kegiatan pembelajaran pada tingkat sekolah dasar belum menyediakan wadah untuk siswa berpikir kritis, analitis, dan kreatif siswa. Kondisi tersebut membuktikan bahwa perkembangan HOTS tidak sebatas dipengaruhi oleh materi dan metode pembelajaran, namun turut didorong oleh kompetensi guru dalam memahami wawasan yang akan diajarkannya pada siswa di kelas. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengkaji peran guru dalam membangun HOTS siswa sekolah dasar, implementasi pendekatan epistemologi dalam pendidikan dasar, dan integrasi epistemologi dalam pengembangan HOTS. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) yang merujuk pada kerangka Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviewers and Meta Analyses (PRISMA). Terpilih sebanyak 8 artikel yang revelan dengan topik peran guru, epistemologi pembelajaran, dan HOTS. Kedelapan artikel tersebut dianalisis dengan mengidentifikasi tema berdasarkan pada indikator posisi siswa dalam proses belajar, orientasi guru terhadap sifat pengetahuan, serta bentuk interaksi pembelajaran yang menekankan dialog, refleksi, dan penalaran kritis.  Hasilnya, menunjukkan tiga tema utama yaitu: (1) guru berperan dalam membangun HOTS melalui strategi pembelajaran yang menekankan proses berpikir siswa; (2) implementasi pendekatan epistemologi sebagai dasar pengembangan HOTS di sekolah dasar melalui interpretasi  guru dalam memberikan pandangan terhadap pengetahuan sebagai sesuatu yang berhasil dibentuk dengan akal budi dan pengalaman belajar siswa; dan (3) integrasi epistemologi dalam variasi pendekatan pembelajaran melalui penerapan model inkuiri, diskusi pembelajaran yang dibantu oleh teknologi, serta interaksi belajar yang mendukung siswa untuk mempertanyakan, menilai, dan membentuk pengetahuan secara giat.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and evaluate an interactive local wisdom based e-book integrated with the Environment Augmented Reality Learning System (EARLS) to support tolerance-oriented learning among elementary school students. EARLS is conceptualized as a pedagogical framework combining contextual cultural narratives, augmented reality based visualizations, reflective tasks, and collaborative learning activities to foster respect for diversity and cooperative behavior. A research and development approach based on the Lee and Owens model was employed, involving 17 fifth-grade students in a public elementary school in Indonesia during the field implementation phase. Tolerance was assessed through structured classroom observations, students’ performance on learning tasks, and pretest–posttest outcomes related to tolerance concepts. The findings indicate that the e-book demonstrates high feasibility and practicality, with moderate effectiveness reflected in improved student engagement and tolerance-related understanding. Beyond product validation, this study contributes theoretically by operationalizing EARLS as a culturally grounded augmented reality framework for character education, providing empirical insight into how local wisdom–based digital media can support tolerance development in primary education. However, results should be interpreted cautiously due to the small sample size and the one-group pretest–posttest design, which may limit generalizability. Future research involving larger samples and comparative designs is recommended to examine the broader applicability of EARLS-based local wisdom digital learning.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter akademik berbasis kearifan lokal memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk peserta didik yang berakhlak, berbudaya, dan mampu bersaing di era global. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan tujuan menganalisis secara komprehensif berbagai temuan penelitian mengenai internalisasi nilai-nilai kearifan lokal budaya Sasak dalam pembelajaran sekolah dasar untuk penguatan karakter akademik siswa. Berdasarkan hasil seleksi terhadap 7 artikel, kajian menumustnjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai budaya Sasak seperti bedadayan (gotong royong), ajinang (saling menghormati), kejujuran, tanggung jawab, dan disiplin memiliki kontribusi signifikan dalam membentuk karakter akademik yang mencakup ketekunan belajar, rasa tanggung jawab terhadap tugas, serta komitmen terhadap pencapaian prestasi. Internalisasi nilai-nilai tersebut efektif diterapkan melalui pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dan Project-Based Learning (PjBL), yang mendorong siswa menghubungkan pengetahuan dengan konteks kehidupan nyata, bekerja kolaboratif, dan merefleksikan nilai akademik dalam setiap proses belajar. Penerapan teori humanistik turut memperkuat pembentukan karakter akademik dengan menekankan kesadaran diri, motivasi intrinsik, dan empati dalam proses pembelajaran. Namun, implementasi nilai-nilai budaya Sasak masih menghadapi tantangan seperti keterbatasan pemahaman guru dan minimnya integrasi nilai budaya dalam kurikulum. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan peningkatan kompetensi guru serta dukungan kebijakan pendidikan yang berorientasi pada penguatan karakter akademik berbasis budaya lokal. Secara keseluruhan, internalisasi nilai-nilai kearifan lokal Sasak menjadi strategi efektif dalam membentuk karakter akademik siswa yang berakar pada budaya bangsa dan tangguh menghadapi arus globalisasi budaya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji internalisasi nilai falsafah Banjar Waja Sampai Kaputing (WASAKA) dalam pembentukan etika keilmuan siswa sekolah dasar melalui pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Falsafah WASAKA, yang bermakna “bekerja keras hingga tuntas” dan “pantang menyerah sampai akhir”, mengandung nilai-nilai kerja keras, ketekunan, tanggung jawab, dan disiplin yang relevan dengan penguatan karakter ilmiah siswa. Kajian ini dilakukan dengan menganalisis artikel yang telah dipublikasi pada tahun 2021–2025 yang diperoleh dari database melalui Google Scholar dengan bantuan perangkat Publish or Perish 8. Proses seleksi mengikuti protokol PRISMA, meliputi tahap identifikasi, penyaringan, kelayakan, dan inklusi, hingga diperoleh lima artikel yang memenuhi kriteria penelitian. Temuan utama menunjukkan bahwa internalisasi nilai WASAKA berdampak positif terhadap pembentukan etika keilmuan siswa, terutama dalam menumbuhkan sikap ilmiah, rasa tanggung jawab, kejujuran, dan semangat pantang menyerah dalam belajar. Dengan demikian, falsafah lokal Banjar dapat dijadikan dasar penguatan karakter dan integritas ilmiah siswa sekolah dasar, sekaligus memperkaya pendidikan berbasis kearifan lokal di Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of a literacy program grounded in the principles of voice, choice, and ownership to strengthen literacy among 4th-grade students at SD Negeri Kepanjen 2 Jombang. The study used a mixed-methods approach with an explanatory sequential design, involving 32 students as quantitative respondents and 11 qualitative informants. Data collection techniques include literacy tests, participatory observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and a paired sample t-test, while qualitative data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The study found that program planning involves students in the needs analysis: 78 percent want a choice of books, and 82 percent are interested in creating literacy products. The program’s implementation includes morning literacy, reading circles, writing workshops, and wall magazine projects, with high participation rates (76-92 percent). The impact of the implementation showed a significant increase in reading ability from 65 to 85 (31 percent), and in writing, from 58 percent to 88 percent of students were able to write structured paragraphs. Reading interest increased from 1.2 to 3.5 books per week. There was an increase in students’ confidence, responsibility, creativity, and collaborative abilities, indicating that voice, choice, and ownership literacy programs were effective in improving students’ literacy and social-emotional competence
