Abstract

Education in Indonesia faces the challenge of enhancing digital literacy and student’s problem-solving abilities. In the context, the development of more interactive technology-based learning materials presents an effective solution. This study aims to analyze the need for developing Problem-Based Learning (PBL) e-book supported by Augemented Reality (AR) media to improve digital literacy and problem-solving skills in the learning of science and social studies (IPAS) at the elementary school phase C level. The result of the analysis indicate that IPAS learning still faces challenges in understanding abstract material and lacks engaging media. Therefore, the development of PBL based e-book with AR media is considered highly relevant and necessary to address the challenges of 21st century learning.

Abstract

This study explores the development and implementation of an adaptive multimodal literacy module within a Learning Management System (LMS) to enhance literacy instruction in teacher education. Grounded in evidence-based literacy instruction, multimodal literacy theory, and adaptive learning pedagogy, the module was designed following the ADDIE model and implemented among 60 pre-service English teachers enrolled in a literacy course. Using a research and development design, data were collected through literacy pre- and post-tests, engagement questionnaires, LMS analytics, and reflective discussions. Results revealed a statistically significant improvement in literacy competence (t(59) = 9.67, p .001, d = 0.92), with notable gains in reading comprehension, vocabulary acquisition, and multimodal text interpretation. LMS data indicated increased engagement, reflected in a 92% completion rate and high mean engagement score (4.36). Qualitative findings further showed enhanced metacognitive awareness and professional reflection, as participants began to conceptualize literacy teaching through multimodal and adaptive perspectives. Despite these achievements, challenges included technical constraints and initial confusion navigating adaptive branches. Overall, the study demonstrates that adaptive multimodal literacy instruction can effectively integrate cognitive, affective, and reflective dimensions of learning in asynchronous environments. The approach not only promotes literacy mastery but also models digital pedagogy for future teachers. Findings provide valuable insights for higher education institutions seeking to design scalable, learner-centered innovations that connect adaptive technology with transformative literacy practices.

Abstract

Temuan mengungkapkan lima pendekatan internalisasi: media budaya-teknologi inovatif (komik AR La Galigo), pendidikan tiga pusat (keluarga-sekolah-masyarakat), teladan guru humanistik, pembiasaan budaya sekolah, dan etnopedagogi kontekstual. Sipakatau menumbuhkan empati dan rasa hormat; Sipakalebbi membangun integritas dan kesopanan; Sipakainge mendorong kejujuran intelektual dan tanggung jawab moral, didukung oleh nilai-nilai pelengkap (lempu', getteng, reso, siri', mapaccing). Strategi implementasi meliputi integrasi kurikulum-P5, pemodelan guru, habituasi positif, etnopedagogi, dan media inovatif. Faktor pendukung mencakup komitmen guru-kepala sekolah, dukungan Kurikulum Merdeka, keterlibatan keluarga-masyarakat, dan konteks budaya lokal yang hidup.

Abstract

The Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework offers guidance for teachers seeking to address technology integration in classroom learning. This study aims to assess the TPACK proficiency levels among elementary school teachers. This study involved teachers from SDN Sumbersari 03 in Malang City as participants using a mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory design. Quantitative data were initially gathered through self-report measures, followed by analysis utilizing descriptive and inferential statistics. Subsequently, qualitative data were collected through interviews and observations, with analysis conducted using the interactive model proposed by Miles and Huberman. The results of this study showed that there was no difference in the TPACK perceptions of primary school teachers based on gender (p-value > 0.05). However, there is an influence between age and tenure on teachers' TPACK ability (p-value < 0.05). Overall, the teachers have a good mastery of TPACK. However, there are some areas that need to be improved, especially in terms of technology mastery (TK, TCK, and TPACK). The highest mean score in the CK and PK domains was 4.875 and the lowest score in the TPACK domain was 4.55. The findings also indicate no significant difference in TPACK perceptions among elementary school teachers based on gender. However, age and tenure were found to influence teachers' TPACK abilities. Overall, teachers demonstrated a good level of mastery in TPACK. Nonetheless, specific areas, particularly technology mastery (TK, TCK, and TPACK), require improvement.

Abstract

Problems that often occur in schools are the use of learning media. Moreover, learning media can make students feel happy. So that the desired abilities can be achieved, such as science literacy. Science literacy is an ability that needs to be improved starting from elementary school. This aims to make students able to later compete in the community environment. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. This method can be the first step to describe or analyze the problems that occur in the field and will later be developed further. The sources obtained in this study came from interviews with teachers and questionnaires on the favourability of using learning media for students. The result is that students like learning that involves them in learning, coupled with using media that can be seen and heard such as YouTube or multimedia learning. However, many teachers still have difficulty in applying interactive media. The use of flipbooks can be a solution for teachers, considering that teachers have many learning accounts that have access to the use of applications to create flipbooks, such as CanvaPro. This flipbook-based learning media itself is able to make students think creatively and improve science literacy by combining project-based learning (PJBL).

Abstract

This article describes the effect of the ASI (Auditory Visual Self Improvement) model through YouTube digital visualization media to improve students’ poetry reading skills in elementary schools. This research is a classroom action research method, which consisted of two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results of research in each cycle indicate an improvement. Classically, students were declared to have completed 100% of learning in cycle II, because all students in reading poetry achieved 80 or above. This learning completeness is above the KKM target of 80%. Based on these proportions, the criteria for qualitative data assessment are classified as "very good". It shows that ASI (Auditory Visual Self Improvement) learning model assisted by digital visualization media in general can be used as alternative learning to improve students’ poetry reading skills in elementary schools.
