Abstract

Avian orthoreovirus (ARV) is widespread and found in almost every commercial poultry farm and other poultry species. Virus isolation from local isolates is necessary to obtain vaccine seeds that are homologous to viruses in the field.  The R&D Laboratory of PT Vaksindo Satwa Nusantara successfully isolated ARV from field cases. Inoculation of SPF Embryonated Chicken Eggs (ECE) is the protocol used to evaluate virus titer, especially to calculate the antigen titer of vaccine prototype candidates. The gross pathology of chicken embryos infected with ARV to evaluate virus growth has not been widely reported. This study aims to observe the gross pathology of chicken embryos infected with ARV to measure the virus titer using infectivity test such as the embryo infectious dose 50 (EID50). The virus suspension was diluted from 10-1 to 10-6 then dilutions of 10-4 to 10-6 were inoculated each into five ECE. Incubated ten days and observed for embryonic death. The observations found the embryonic death on day seven. Pathological changes in the embryos are stunted, thin feather, oedema, and less allantois fluid compared to control of uninfected embryo. The results of the embryos necropsy showed cardiac necrosis, greenish liver, and gelatinous exudate in the abdominal cavity.Keywords - Avian Orthoreovirus, Embryonated Chicken Eggs, Embryo Pathology, EID50.

Abstract

Equine Influenza (EI) is a highly contagious respiratory infection disease in equidae caused by two subtypes of Influenza A Virus (H7N7 and H3N8). Indonesia is recently importing high amounts of horses from The Netherlands intended for equestrian sports, pets, and breeders. This study was aimed to discover the presence of Equine Influenza Virus (EIV) and antibody titres against EIV in imported horses from the Netherlands using Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) and Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) techniques. The results obtained were then compared to imported horses’ data. A total of 199 nasopharyngeal swabs and 55 blood samples were collected. The results showed no material genetic of EIV was found in horses imported from the Netherlands, not all recently imported horses had antibodies against EIV, it’s indicated that the imported horses need to be measured the antibody post vaccination before arrived in Indonesia.Keywords - Horse, Equine Influenza, The Netherlands, PCR, ELISA

Abstract

This research was conducted to provide information on the production performance of quail parent stock and its offspring with various IgY concentrations. A total of 42 female quail parents stock aged five weeks old were used in this study. Five quails were categorized as medium IgY group with concentrations of 431.12-531.87 g/mL and 37 quails were categorized as low IgY group with concentration of 251.87-384.68 g/mL. The variables observed were the production performance such as initial body weight, feed intake, final body weight, body weight gain, number of eggs, egg mass, egg weight, egg laying intensity, feed conversion, morbidity, and mortality rate and IgY concentration of the yolk of the offsprings. Production performance of female quail with different concentrations of IgY was not significantly different (P0.05). IgY concentration of offsprings in egg yolk was also not significantly different (P0.05) in both groups. The results showed that female quails parent stock with low blood IgY showed better production. Meanwhile, female quail parents stock with moderate blood IgY concentrations produced offspring with high-maternal IgY concentrations in yolk.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to use SEMASA media on the content of Socialization in the Community to improve student learning outcomes. Students of class VII E of SMP Negeri 29 Surabaya became the subjects of the study. This study used Collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR) as its research methodology. This study was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle having four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. As many as 72.3% of students in cycle I successfully completed the learning outcomes of students classically, while in cycle II as many as 83.7% of students completed the learning outcomes. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the use of SEMASA media can improve the learning outcomes of students in class VII E of SMP Negeri 29 Surabaya.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to enhance learning outcomes and collaboration among students using the discovery learning model through collaborative puzzles. The study was conducted in Class VII B at SMP Negeri 29 Surabaya. This research is a collaborative classroom action research that includes planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results of this study indicate that the percentage of learning outcomes increased from Cycle I to Cycle II. The average score in Cycle I was 77.94, while in Cycle II it increased to 88.38. The percentage of classical completeness in Cycle I was 61.76%, whereas in Cycle II, it increased to 88.23%. Collaboration among students also improved across all groups. All groups showed improvement in Cycle II compared to Cycle I. The implementation of the discovery learning model using collaborative puzzle media can enhance both collaboration and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This project aims to develop a website that functions as a virtual laboratory for studying geography topics that is suitable for use, as well as testing its effectiveness on cognitive learning outcomes and spatial abilities. The research uses the Borg and Gall development model, which is then summarized and divided into three main activities: introduction, development, and testing. Subject selection was based on the cluster random sampling technique. The subjects consisted of Class Learning outcome data was collected using questionnaires, interviews, pretests and posttest, analyzed using descriptive statistical tests and Mancova inferential statistics. Research Results: 1) the development of a geographic virtual laboratory is suitable for use according to material experts and received the "very good" category, while according to media experts it received the "good" category; 2) students gave a strong response to the implementation of the virtual geography laboratory; 3) there is a significant difference between initial abilities and cognitive learning outcomes and spatial abilities; and 4) there are no significant differences between two schools that implement virtual geography laboratories with cognitive learning outcomes and spatial abilities.

Abstract

The theory of planned behavior is a development of the theory of reasoned action (Ajzen, 1991). Basically the individual behavior of every human being is influenced by individual intentions (behavior intention). Behavioral intentions are influenced by three components, namely attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavior control (Madden et al., 1992). Attitude is a positive or negative feeling of a person's belief in a behavior. Subjective norm is an individual's emotional perception that assesses the importance of the behavior to be carried out. Perceived behavioral control is an individual's perception of obstacles in carrying out a behavior. This study uses a bibliometric literature review approach with a sample mapping literature of 15 articles regarding planned behavior theory approaches reference articles from 2020 - 2021 under Scopus indexed journal. Universally, the results of this literature study state two propositions and hypotheses (e.g., Firstly, the theoretical implication states that there is a robust theoretical correlation between the theory of Planned behavior on purchase decisions; secondly, the correlation of planned behavior theory in aspects of management (e.g., marketing, Technology, Health Management, and HRM) make a positive contribution as a grounded theory to explain antecedent variables and their correlation to other approaches)

Abstract

Abstrak: Peran siswa sangat diperlukan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, dalam hal ini siswa diharapkan mampu untuk mengatur atau mengelolah dirinya sendiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan pembelajaran melalui  metode ARIAS (Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assesment, and Satisfaction) dapat melatih siswa untuk mengajukan pertanyaan-pertanyaan atau soal-soal yang berkaitan dengan materi yang dipelajari. Pelajaran dengan metode ini siswa ikut aktif mengukur menghitung  dengan metode ARIAS (Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assesment, and Satisfaction) siswa diminta menyelesaikan soal yang disediakan.secara  kelompok  maupun individu. Tujuan diadakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) ini adalah untuk mengetahui berapa persentase peningkatan prestasi belajar matematika melalui metode ARIAS  (Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assesment, and Satisfaction ) kelas V SDN  2 Tamanagung Cluring. Penelitian tindakan ini dilakukan dalam 3 siklus. Dari hasil tindakan yang dilakukan terbukti dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar dengan mencapai standar  ideal. Dari 59,09 % pada Siklus l, dapat meningkat pada siklus 2 menjadi 68,63 % dan siklus 3 mencapai 81,36%, dan secara klasikal telah tercapai ketuntasan. Hasil penelitian tindakan ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran melalaui metode ARIAS (Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assesment, and Satisfaction) dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar  matematika  kelas V  SDN 2 Tamanagung Cluring Banyuwangi Tahun Pelajaran 2016- 2017  dengan ketuntasan mencapai 100 %.Kata kunci: Prestasi Belajar Siswa, Metode ARIAS (Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assesment, and Satisfaction), Pelajaran Matematika di SDAbstract: The role of students is very necessary to improve student learning outcomes, in this case students are expected to be able to organize or manage themselves. From 59.09% in Cycle I, it can increase in cycle 2 to 68.63% and cycle 3 to reach 81.36%, and in classical it has achieved completeness. Abstract

ABSTRACT Stroke often leads to psychological impacts, including high levels of anxiety in patients. Uncontrolled anxiety can worsen health and hinder recovery. Music therapy, a non-pharmacological intervention, has been proven effective in reducing anxiety in stroke patients. Untreated post-stroke anxiety can affect long-term treatment processes. Music therapy uses music to achieve psychological effects on individuals. Implementing evidence-based nursing practice (EBNP) involves developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) to reduce anxiety in stroke patients through music therapy. The data analysis method used was RM ANOVA. Pre-tests and post-tests were conducted on all respondents, and then the results were compared. The number of respondents involved in the music therapy implementation was 20 respondents plus 10% for dropout risk, making a total of 22 stroke patients at the National Brain Center Prof. Dr. Mahar Mardjono East Jakarta. The EBNP implementation was carried out for 20 days, with instrumental music therapy being listened to once a day for two weeks, with a duration of 30 minutes. The health workers involved were seventh-floor nurses who were responsible for patient data collection in the E-Record Medical Records of RS PON, for patients who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria that had been determined beforehand. Music therapy significantly reduces anxiety levels (p-Value <0.001) in stroke patients with a large effect (Cohen’s d = 0.86). Posthoc analysis using the Tukey method showed a significant difference in anxiety levels in stroke patients between baseline measurements, mid-intervention, and immediate post-treatment (p-Value <0.001). The highest average change occurred between baseline measurements and immediate post-treatment (MD 7.35; p-Value <0.001). Keywords: Stroke, Music Therapy, Anxiety  ABSTRAK Stroke seringkali menyebabkan dampak psikologis, termasuk kecemasan yang tinggi pada pasien. Kecemasan yang tidak terkontrol dapat memperburuk kesehatan dan menghambat pemulihan. Terapi musik, intervensi non-farmakologis, telah terbukti efektif mengurangi kecemasan pada pasien stroke. Kecemasan pasca stroke yang tidak diatasi dapat mempengaruhi proses pengobatan jangka panjang. Terapi musik digunakan untuk mencapai pengobatan  efek-efek psikologis pada individu. Melakukan perawatan berbasis bukti (EBNP) melibatkan pembuatan standar prosedur operasional (SPO) untuk mengurangi kecemasan pada pasien stroke melalui terapi musik. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah RM ANOVA. Pre test dan post test dilakukan pada seluruh responden, kemudian hasilnya dibandingkan. Jumlah responden yang terlibat dalam penerapan terapi musik adalah 20 responden ditambah 10% untuk risiko dropout, sehingga total 22 pasien Stroke di RS Pusat Otak Nasional Prof. Dr. Mahar Mardjono Jakarta Timur. Penerapan EBNP dilakukan selama 20 hari, dengan mendengarkan musik instrumental yang diberikan sekali sehari selama dua minggu, dengan durasi 30 menit. Tenaga kesehatan yang terlibat adalah perawat lantai tujuh yang berperan dalam pendataan pasien di E-Rekam Medik RS PON, untuk pasien yang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi yang telah ditetapkan sebelumnya. Terapi musik secara signifikan mengurangi tingkat kecemasan (p-Value <0,001) pada pasien stroke dengan efek yang besar (Cohen’s d = 0,86). Analisis posthoc menggunakan metode Tukey menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan dalam tingkat kecemasan pada pasien stroke antara pengukuran baseline, mid intervention, dan immediate post-treatment (p-Value <0,001). Perubahan rata-rata tertinggi terjadi antara pengukuran baseline dan immediate post-treatment (MD 7,35; p-Value <0,001). Kata Kunci: Stroke, Terapi Musik, Kecemasan

Abstract

Kondisi kini menunjukkan bahwa materi uji kompetensi atas skema sertifikasi dari Lembaga Sertifikasi Profesi Pihak ke-3 (LSP P3) Perdagangan dan Ritel Semarang belum aktual mengakibatkan potensi tidak relevan penguasaan kompetensi dalam dunia kerja. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk penyusun materi uji kompetensi pada LSP P3 Perdagangan Riset secara valid dan aktual. Pendampingan yang dilakukan tidak saja memberikan pemahaman namun juga motivasi untuk melakukan peningkatan kualitas uji kompetensi secara umum. Pendampingan dilakukan pelatihan teknis, evaluasi dan pengawasan untuk mengefektifkan materi uji yang akan divalidasi. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dari Maret sampai September 2022 dapat berjalan dengan lancar dan mencapai tujuan menyusun lima materi uji kompetensi baru. Selain itu, pemahaman proses validasi materi uji kompetensi yang meningkat dapat mendukung proses telaah materi uji kompetensi yang telah disusun agar lebih berkualitas. Kegiatan yang sama dapat memperhatikan penggunaan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi secara ekstensif untuk memudahkan proses kerja sekaligus pendampingan secara intensi.
