Abstract

This study employs information system theories (technology-to-performance chain) to examine link between characteristics of digital financial reporting technology (interactivity and visualization) and task requirements in a financial analysis context, and the impact of that link on non-professional investor`s decision. This research was conducted to accounting students, samples taken 49 respondents with purposive sampling method. Data were collected by questionnaires using a five-point Likert scale, to measure 32 indicators. The analysis technique used Partial Least Square (PLS). These results indicate that perceived interactivity and perceived visualization give the positive effect, but not significant on perceived performance. On the other hand, task-technology fit and perceived usefulness give the positive and significant effect in mediating perceived interactivity and perceived visualization against perceived performance. This study result shows the importance of digital financial reporting for non-professional investor decision

Abstract

Communities living in disaster-prone areas need not only structural preparedness but also a strong psychological capacity to survive and recover from disaster threats. This study examines the influence of Disaster Management Preparedness and Risk Perception on Community Psychological Resilience, with Stress Management as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative associative approach, data were collected from residents of disaster-prone areas in Banda Aceh City and Aceh Besar Regency, Indonesia, through structured questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that disaster management preparedness and risk perception significantly influence stress management and psychological resilience. Stress management emerged as the strongest predictor of resilience and served as a significant mediator in the relationship between preparedness and resilience, as well as between risk perception and resilience. These results highlight that resilience is strengthened not only by knowledge and structural preparedness, but also by adaptive coping strategies such as problem-focused coping, emotion regulation, and religion-based coping. In the context of Aceh Province, where socio-cultural and religious values strongly shape individual responses to disaster threats, coping mechanisms act as important psychological pathways that transform preparedness and risk awareness into resilient behavior. This study provides practical implications for disaster management authorities to integrate psychosocial strengthening into preparedness programs, emphasizing community education, simulation activities, and culturally rooted psychosocial support to enhance community resilience. Further research is encouraged to adopt mixed methods and explore additional socio-cultural variables to deepen the understanding of resilience dynamics in disaster-prone communities.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine the influence of institutional ownership structure, leverage, and growth opportunities on ESG disclosure within the infrastructure sub-sector during the 2019-2021 period. The research employs an empirical study to test the relationship between independent variables and the dependent variable. The control variable used in this study is firm size, which reflects the condition of a company. The population consists of companies in the infrastructure sub-sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2019 to 2021, with a total sample of 91 companies. The study utilizes secondary data, collected using the purposive sampling method. The results show that managerial ownership structure and corporate leverage have a significant positive effect on ESG disclosure. Institutional ownership tends to reduce the level of ESG disclosure, while growth opportunities, which were expected to support ESG disclosure, demonstrate a negative impact.

Abstract

As profit-making businesses, banks have goals for achieving profits to draw in investors and compete with rivals. Setting high goals compels all workers to put in more effort than is necessary, which might lead to fraud as a justification for target completion. It is believed that the degree of bank fraud can be decreased by putting in place a whistleblower mechanism and practicing excellent corporate governance. The factors that can influence employee intentions to whistleblow include professional commitment, organizational commitment and ethical behavior. Financial services firms are anticipated to gain knowledge from this study about the variables that may affect employees’ intentions to be whistleblowers. 110 employees of Bank XX participated in this study as respondents. The parameters for the research sample were established using judgment sampling and purposive sampling procedures. Since the primary data was gathered through the online distribution of surveys using the Google Form link, the study data type falls within the quantitative data category. To gauge respondent’s opinions and assessments, a Likert scale with the following options must be used: (1) strongly disagree to (4) strongly agree. The descriptive method and the verification method using the SEM-PLS approach are the analysis techniques employed. According to the study’s findings, ethical behavior and organizational commitment were found to be able to raise Bank XX workers’ intentions to engage in whistleblowing; professional commitment, on the other hand, had no discernible impact on these intentions. Therefore, it can be said that despite their professional dedication, Bank XX workers are not interested in implementing whistleblowing procedures. This is because they value their loyalty and are afraid of losing their employment, which is their primary source of income

Abstract

The National Sports Week (Pekan Olahraga Nasional—PON) represents Indonesia’s highest multi-event sporting competition and serves as a benchmark for provincial sports performance development. This study analyzes the fluctuating competitive achievements of North Sumatra’s Wushu Sanda team at the 2012–2024 PON using the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, Product). Employing a descriptive qualitative research approach, the study involved officials of the sports association, coaches, and Wushu Sanda athletes from North Sumatra who were directly engaged in athlete development and PON participation. Data were collected through interviews, document analysis, and observation. Data analysis was conducted descriptively by linking the research findings to the context, input, process, and product components of the CIPP framework. The findings indicate that, from the context perspective, North Sumatra’s Wushu Sanda occupies a strategic position as a leading regional sport with a strong tradition of achievement, yet faces intense national competition and psychological pressures during major events. From the input dimension, the availability of athletes, coaches, and institutional support is generally adequate; however, the quality of athlete readiness remains uneven, particularly in terms of mental resilience and competitive experience. From the process aspect, the effectiveness of athlete development programs emerges as a decisive factor in performance consistency, where inconsistencies in training programs, limited monitoring and evaluation, and the lack of integrated mental preparation negatively affect athlete readiness. From the product dimension, North Sumatra’s Wushu Sanda demonstrates consistent medal attainment across the 2012–2024 PON editions, yet has not achieved sustained optimal results, with its peak performance recorded at PON 2016. In conclusion, the competitive achievements of North Sumatra’s Wushu Sanda are the result of an integrated interaction among the context, input, and process components of athlete development. Strengthening the coherence and synergy of these three components is crucial to enhancing future performance outcomes of North Sumatra’s Wushu Sanda at the PON.

Abstract

This review synthesizes research on social interaction in Buddhist religious practices, focusing on community gatherings, rituals, and meditation groups to address gaps in understanding their roles in social cohesion, cultural identity, and community dynamics. The review aims to evaluate the social functions of rituals and communal gatherings, compare meditation groups as social sites, identify mechanisms that foster cohesion and intercultural harmony, analyze the role of leadership, and contrast traditional and contemporary practices. A systematic analysis of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method studies across diverse Buddhist traditions and geographical contexts was conducted, with particular emphasis on ethnographic and survey data from Asia, North America, and diaspora communities. The findings reveal that Buddhist rituals and meditation groups significantly enhance social integration, identity formation, and intercultural tolerance, while also adapting innovatively to urbanization and digital mediation. Spiritual leaders emerge as key mediators of social networks and cultural values, although issues of power dynamics and inclusivity warrant further scrutiny. Contemporary transformations are reshaping social practices but remain insufficiently examined through comprehensive critical evaluation. Collectively, these findings demonstrate the multifaceted social functions of Buddhist practices as dynamic sites of community resilience and cultural negotiation. This review underscores the need for integrative comparative research to deepen theoretical frameworks and to inform policy and community engagement in Buddhist studies and the broader study of religion

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of internal control on fraud indications by employing the Fraud Octagon Theory as an analytical framework, with a focus on the banking sector through a case study at Bank X. Fraud in the banking industry represents a critical issue that threatens both financial stability and institutional reputation. The Fraud Octagon Theory, which encompasses eight elements pressure, opportunity, rationalization, arrogance, competence, ego, personal need, and moral consistency—serves as the basis for identifying factors that may trigger fraudulent behavior. The research adopts a quantitative method with descriptive and verification approaches. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to employees working in the operational units of Bank X, and were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to evaluate both direct and indirect relationships between internal control and fraud indications. The findings reveal that internal control significantly influences fraud indications. A stronger internal control system is associated with reduced opportunities for fraudulent acts, while dimensions of the Fraud Octagon particularly pressure and rationalization emerge as critical mediating factors that reinforce this relationship. These results emphasize the necessity for a structured, adaptive, and sustainable internal control system in mitigating the evolving risks of fraud within the banking sector.
