Abstract

Madrasah education plays a strategic role in shaping students’ religious values, moral character, and literacy practices. However, classroom instruction in many madrasahs remains dominated by text-based and teacher-centered approaches, which can limit students’ opportunities to actively construct meaning. This article explores the implementation of multimodal project-based learning in madrasah classrooms through the lens of Islamic education. Guided by Sociocultural Theory and a narrative inquiry approach, the study examines how multimodal activities, such as drawing, storytelling, and limited digitally supported tasks, support literacy development while allowing teachers to integrate Islamic values into everyday learning practices. Drawing on teachers’ narratives and classroom experiences, the article highlights both the pedagogical possibilities of multimodal learning and the challenges faced by madrasah teachers, including limited resources, curricular rigidity, and emotional demands associated with instructional innovation. The findings suggest that multimodal projects create spaces for more meaningful, and value-oriented literacy practices in madrasah classrooms, positioning teachers as reflective agents who negotiate between curriculum expectations and students’ lived experiences.

Abstract

Background: Calcium hydroxide [Ca(OH)2] is the gold standard material in pulp capping treatment due to reparative dentin formation and antibacterial. However, Ca(OH)2 deficiency forms reparative dentin with tunnel defects and is easily soluble in water and acid. Mauli banana stem extract (MBSE) functions as an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory and is expected to form better reparative dentin. The combination of Ca(OH)2 and MBSE is assumed to be able to improve the physical properties of Ca(OH)2. Purpose: to analyze the effect of 50% MBSE+ Ca(OH)2 combination on solubility and water absorption as a pulp capping material. Methods: The group were combination of MBSE+Ca(OH)2+PG (1.5:1:0.375), (1:1.5:0.375) and  Ca(OH)2 + aquadest (1:1). Each group consisted of 5 samples with 6 groups and 2 tests, a total of 60 samples with dimensions of 15 mm x 1 mm. Samples were measured for solubility and water absorption ability by weighing before and after dissolving in 50 mL of artificial saliva for 24 hours, drying, incubating, and weighing a second time. The result of the mass reduction divided by the volume of the sample was considered as the solubility and water absorption rate in 1 and 7 days. The data was analyzed using One Way Anova with significant difference <0.05. Results: The solubility of MBSE+Ca(OH)2+PG at (1.5:1:0.375) and (1:1.5:0.375)was lower than Ca(OH)2+aquadest (1:1) after immersion for 1 day and 7 day. The water absorption of MBSE+Ca(OH)2+PG (1.5:1:0.375) was not different from Ca(OH)2+aquadest (1:1) after immersion  for 1 day, but higher in 7 day (p<0,05). Conclusion: The solubility of the MBSE-Ca(OH) combination is lower than Ca(OH)2 alone, the water absorption of the MBSE- Ca(OH)2 combination is higher than that of Ca(OH)2 alone.

Abstract

Background: Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a gram-negative anaerobic bacteria and frequently associated with necrotic pulp infections. Necrotic pulp can be treated with root canal treatment (RCT). Sterilization of the root canal is one of the stages in RCT. The most used intracanal medicament in the sterilization stage of root canals is calcium hydroxide. This material may cause pulp irritation and inflammation in the surrounding tissues. These drawbacks are the reason for the necessity of alternative intracanal medicaments from natural materials such as ramania leaves (Bouea macrophylla Griffith). Flavonoids, saponins, tannins, steroids, and phenols are secondary metabolites derived from Ramania leaves that have been shown to have antibacterial properties. Purpose: To analyze the antibacterial effectiveness of ramania leaves extract gel (Bouea macrophylla Griffith) against Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Methods: Experimental study with a post-test only with control group design consisting of 5 treatment groups, namely ramania leaves extract gel with a concentration of 6,25%, 12,5%, 25%, 50%, and control (calcium hydroxide mixed with gel base) were repeated 5 times. The method used in the antibacterial test is using the agar well diffusion assay. Results: The Post-Hoc Bonferroni test confirmed statistically that there is significant differences among the treatment groups. Conclusion: The ramania leaves extract gel (Bouea macrophylla Griffith) at concentrations of 6.25%, 12.5%, 25%, and 50% has antibacterial potential against the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Keywords: antibacterial, bouea macrophylla griffith, intracanal medicament, necrotic pulp, pseudomonas aeruginosa, root canal treatment.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This study analyzes the Structural Strength of micro wind turbine blades made of CFRP and GFRP composites using the Finite Element Analysis (FEA) method. Aerodynamic loads are obtained from QBlade simulations at a wind speed of 12 m/s and applied as non-uniform pressure on the blades. Composite modeling is performed with ANSYS Composite PrepPost (ACP) using a 4-ply laminated composite configuration with fiber orientations of 0°, 45°, −45°, and 90° and varying ply thicknesses along the blade. Static analysis shows that the CFRP blade produces a Von Mises stress of 15,648 MPa with a maximum displacement of 3.1616 mm, while the GFRP blade produces a stress of 12,786 MPa with a maximum displacement of 6,947 mm. These results indicate that CFRP has better Structural stiffness than GFRP, making it more suitable for micro wind turbine blade applications that require high Structural stability.
