Abstract

This research is a qualitative research with a case study approach. The reason for using case studies is that this research examines existing cases so that researchers only study existing cases. This research will be conducted at SDN 106161 Percut Sei Tuan. The time of this research was carried out in March-April 2022. The total informants needed were 2 fifth grade teachers and 6 students. Determination of informants in this study was done by purposive sampling technique. After describing the results and discussion, the conclusions in this study are determined:1) For the value of patriotism, according to the researcher, the students of SDN 106161 Percut Sei Tuan have a good attitude of nationalism but still don't know much about the values of nationalism that must be fostered. Then students also have social care for fellow friends, family and teachers as well as for surrounding creatures such as animals that pass around the school and the plants that grow around the school are cared for properly. 2) The problem related to social care and love for the homeland lies in the lack of enthusiasm for students showing these 2 characters in learning and the importance of these two attitudes, considering that at present the problem of love for the homeland is very minimal for children because of global influences, technology and the entry of foreign culture into Indonesia so that it affects children. 3) The process of implementing experiential narratives where learning is carried out with the concept of telling the experience of role models in this country related to the Proclamation and Presidents 1 and 2 in Indonesia has been carried out very well

Abstract

Many studies have been conducted to evaluate the nonintegrated approach. Each model claimed to have certain advantages, but the current research used a combined social science learning model called Stufflebeam's CIPP (context, input, process, and product) model, which included input, process, and product components due its comprehensiveness in assessment and students’ interest based. The assessment model appropriate for Integrated Social Studies learning programs in public middle schools because it could fulfil pedagogical aspects for students in schools.  The research group included respondents from eight public middle schools, as well as school administrators, 16 instructors, and 350 pupils. Documentation, questionnaires, and tests are examples of data gathering methods. Content validity is tested using expert opinion, construct validity is tested using a limited test and evaluated using Product Moment correlation, and reliability is tested using Cronbach Alpha. The SPSS software is used to perform data analysis methods such as descriptive statistics. 20. The development of a combined social study learning program evaluation model for public middle schools yielded outstanding assessment criteria. The quality of integrated social studies learning inputs includes: teachers’ competence, students’ motivation, and infrastructure, which are all very good categories; the quality of integrated social studies learning processes, which include initial activities, core activities, and closing activities, which are all excellent categories; and product quality (results) integrated social studies learning includes: attitude competencies, knowledge, and skills.

Abstract

This research explores the transformational leadership styles that principals employ in an effort to increase teacher motivation. Using a qualitative approach, this study seeks to understand in depth how school principals apply transformational leadership dimensions, such as idealistic influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individual consideration, and analyze the impact on teacher motivation in carrying out duties and responsibilities. Data will be collected through participatory observations within the school environment, in-depth interviews with principals, teachers, and other stakeholders, as well as documentation studies of related documents. Data analysis will be carried out inductively, by identifying patterns, themes, and relationships that arise from the data obtained. This research is expected to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the implementation of transformational leadership styles by school principals in the context of education in Indonesia. Research findings can be a reference for school principals and other education stakeholders in formulating strategies and policies to increase teacher motivation, ultimately contributing to improving the overall quality of education.

Data analysis is carried out inductively by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed that school principals apply a democratic leadership style by involving stakeholders, giving teachers space to innovate, and facilitating collaboration between teachers. This creates a participatory and collaborative climate that supports curriculum implementation. However, challenges such as teacher resistance, lack of facilities, and lack of parental understanding were also found.
