Abstract

This work seeks to design a smartphone application for assessing teacher performance utilizing a 4D development model modified with the Mardapi instrument development model of (1) define (defining); (2) design (deciding instrument requirements, determining application media specifications, creating flowcharts, and creating storyboards); (3) develop (assemble instruments, code, execute tests, evaluate test results, and interpret measurement findings); and (4) disseminate (spread). Proof of the application's viability was established through product testing with 26 principals acting as application users and evaluations by material and media specialists. The content validity of the acquired results was evaluated using the Aiken method, and the construct validity was evaluated using PLS (Partial Least Squares) analysis because the sample size does not have to be large, in accordance with this study where the number of samples is not so large. Using Cronbach's alpha to evaluate the reliability. The results demonstrated that the built application was "possible," as proven by the existing instruments in the valid and trustworthy application. This is proven by the fact that the content validity test utilizing the Aiken method yielded good validity results, with a mean score of 0.80 for material experts and 0.75 for media experts. The construct validity test using PLS (Partial Least Squares) yielded positive results for validity. The estimation of reliability using Cronbach's alpha yields positive findings. Therefore, it can be concluded that the developed application for teacher performance evaluation possesses the features of a valid and trustworthy assessment instrument.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the roles of entrepreneurship on human development in Islamic countries. In order to achieve the study objective, the econometric strategy has been used. The analysis technique is done using Fixed Effect (FE) and Random Effect (RE) estimation from the data panels of the OIC countries in the period 2006-2020. The estimation results show that entrepreneurship and access to finance have positive impact on human development. This study uses samples based on data availability. Therefore, further research is expected to be able to find other proxies from entrepreneurship with more data. In addition, research on entrepreneurship should be classified based on the level of economic development, because there are indicated differences in entrepreneurial characteristics at each level of economic development.

Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) soft skill values instilled in students by accounting teachers, (2) the process of instilling soft skills in students by accounting teachers, (3) Barriers and supporting factors in instilling soft skills in students. This research is qualitative using ethnographic design. Data sources of the study are accounting teachers and first-grade students in the accounting department. Data collection techniques were performed through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique conducted during the study was analyzing the data contained in the research site in which the results were used as conclusions to answer the objectives of the study. The research results revealed seven aspects of soft skills, namely self-confidence, communication skill, emotional intelligence, critical thinking skill, teamwork ability, time management, and leadership. The instilling of soft skills in students through cooperative learning strategies and providing positive habituation to students was performed during the teaching-learning process. The barriers of instilling soft skills, which are the lack of students’ abilities, the difficulty to control students, and the lack of teachers’ competences in developing learning methods. Whereas, the supporting factors are the small number of students in each class so the instilling of soft skill became sufficient and the numerous supports given by the school community.

Abstract

TPPI Tuban Port is located in Tuban Regency, East Java. Geologically, the rocks are composed of reef limestone in the Paciran Formation, which is Pliocene–Early Pleistocene. The importance of complying with jetty capacity standards and water conditions in commercial ports is emphasized as the key to maintaining smooth port operations, making port revitalization a necessity. One of the main aspects to consider is the sedimentation problem, closely related to sediment characteristics. A deep understanding of sediment dynamics is essential for designing effective solutions to ensure the sustainability of port operations. This research aims to determine the distribution pattern of bed load characteristics such as water content, specific gravity, gradation, sediment texture, d50 size of sediment grains, and statistical analysis of bed load sediment in the west and rainy seasons, where the influence of sediment from land is very large. so it is hoped that it can support the port revitalization plan. The methods used include taking sediment samples in the field, testing sediment samples in the laboratory, statistical sediment analysis, and descriptive analysis of bed load characteristics using the Gradistat method. Based on the study results, the water content value ranges from 22.446% to 218.289%, and the specific gravity ranges from 2,100 g/m³ to 2.690 g/cm³. Additionally, the grain size varies from 0.080 mm to 0.900 mm, and the average grain size ranges from 261.1 μm to 2657.5 μm. Sediment sorting is dominated by very poorly sorted materials, with statistical analysis indicating a dominance of the very platykurtic type. The lithological type is predominantly sand.

Abstract

This research formulates a good and proper empowerment model for mushroom farmer groups in order to increase the self-sufficiency of mushroom food independence. The model developed through empowering mushroom farmers by making baglogs, F0 and F1, to the sale of fresh and processed mushroom products, both online and offline based among. Data collection is used through observation, interviews, questionnaires, documentation and surveys. The analysis method with project-based learning works directly on empowerment activities (mentoring, counseling, direct action services) in order to increase food self-sufficiency from upstream to downstream (making F0 seeds, F1 baglogs to production). Model development with path analysis is to build a among-based empowerment model formulation. The among-based empowerment strategy is developed and implemented through independent learning that places participants as objects and subjects. Participants in the empowerment of mushroom farmers, prioritize family values, physical and mental independence. The data analysis method uses the concept of a hypothetical model and analyzes the behavioral trends of mentoring participants and the results of the formulation of among-based empowerment are able to improve the mushroom food independence
