Abstract

Pasar mingguan di Desa Pematang Panjang tidak hanya merupakan tempat untuk bertransaksi jual beli, tetapi juga menjadi pusat kegiatan sosial dan ekonomi yang vital bagi masyarakat setempat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik ruang parkir dan untuk mengetahui pola parkir yang tepat di pasar mingguan Desa Pematang Panjang. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriftif kualitatif di bantu microsoft excel untuk perhitungan data. Hasil selama penelitian ini adalah Karakteristik ruang parkir berupa volume parkir motor 209 kendaraan dan mobil 32 kendaraan, akumulasi parkir motor 74 kendaraan dan mobil 24 kendaraan, durasi parkir motor 2 jam/kend dan mobil 8 jam/kend, pergantian parkir motor dan mobil 1 Kend/SRP, kapasitas parkir motor 178 SRP/Jam dan mobil 13 SRP/Jam, penyediaan ruang parkir motor 642,03 Kend dan mobil 47 Kend, dan Indeks parkir Motor 0,55 dan mobil 3,8. Pola Parkir pasar mingguan Desa Pematang Panjang menggunakan pola standar atau pola paralel yang mana kendaraan motor maupun mobil disusun secara lurus atau linear di petak-petak parkir dan diberi jarak antara baris pertama dan baris selanjutnya (jalur evakuasi), sehingga ada ruang untuk jalan kendaraan keluar.

Abstract

The foundation of turbine machines in industrial buildings must be able to withstand static and dynamic loads caused by operational vibrations. Generally, reinforced concrete block foundations are used due to their good stability. However, under certain conditions such as limited land, decreased soil bearing capacity, and the need for structural rehabilitation, their application becomes less effective. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the use of Micropile foundations as an alternative for turbine machine foundations at Candi Baru Sugar Factory, Sidoarjo.The research method includes literature studies, soil data collection through Cone Penetration Test (CPT), machine technical data analysis, and the design and analysis of Micropile foundations. The analysis covers bearing capacity, settlement, dynamic response, pile cap design, and cost estimation.The results indicate that Micropiles with a diameter of 0.20 m, a length of 2 m, five piles, and a pile cap size of 2 m × 2 m × 4.5 m are able to safely and stably support the machine load. In addition, this system is considered more efficient in terms of construction time and implementation. Therefore, Micropile foundations are recommended as an effective and economical alternative for turbine machine foundations.

Abstract

Objective: This study examines the practice of unregistered marriage in modern society on Bawean Island and analyzes the causes and impacts on the fulfillment of women's and children's rights from the perspective of Islamic law and national law. The study aims to identify the social, economic, and religious determinants behind unregistered marriage and explain its legal consequences for the protection of women's and children's rights. Theoretical Framework: This study is based on the concept of marriage as a mitsaqan ghalidan, the theory of family legal protection, and the maqashid al-syari'ah approach that positions marriage registration as an instrument of public welfare. Literature Review: Classical fiqh literature and modern Islamic family law indicate a dualism between sharia validity and administrative legality, where the practice of unregistered marriage has implications for the weak protection of civil rights. Methods: The study used a qualitative socio-juridical and phenomenological approach through in-depth interviews, field observations, and studies of legal documents and population administration. Results: The findings indicate that unregistered marriages on Bawean Island are influenced by economic, cultural, labor migration, and low legal literacy factors, and have a direct impact on women's vulnerability in accessing livelihoods, inheritance, and legal protection, as well as the uncertainty of children's civil status. Implications: This study emphasizes the urgency of marriage registration and the optimization of the marriage validation mechanism as a means of restoring family rights. Novelty: The novelty of the study lies in the integrated analysis of Islamic legal norms, positive law, and the local social realities of the Bawean Island community in explaining the causal relationship between unregistered marriage practices and the protection of women's and children's rights.

Abstract

For criminal justice systems, the growing number of young people involved in drug-related crimes is a serious problem, especially when it comes to striking a balance between law enforcement and child protection and rehabilitation. By contrasting viewpoints from Islamic law and Indonesian positive law, this study investigates the use of restorative justice in the processing of adolescent drug cases in Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency, Jambi. The study used a qualitative socio-legal methodology that integrates normative legal analysis with empirical field data gathered via observations, interviews, and document analysis involving law enforcement personnel, rehabilitation facilities, families, and community people. The results show that diversionary measures required by Law No. 11 of 2012 regulating the Juvenile Criminal Justice System are the main means by which restorative justice is applied in juvenile drug cases. In order to guarantee that children are not subjected to punitive detention but rather have options for recovery and social reintegration, these systems prioritize mediation, rehabilitation, and community involvement. From the standpoint of Islamic law, restorative justice is consistent with fundamental tenets like tawbah (repentance), islah (reconciliation), and the protection of human welfare, all of which place an emphasis on moral reform and the preservation of children's dignity. These ideas support the adoption of restorative measures in the resolution of adolescent drug offenses in Tanjung Jabung Barat, a sociocultural setting where Malay-Islamic beliefs have a significant impact on community life. The report does, however, also point out a number of difficulties, such as the lack of rehabilitation facilities, the societal stigma associated with juvenile offenders, and the inconsistent use of diversion by law enforcement. The study comes to the conclusion that a framework for handling juvenile drug cases that prioritizes the rehabilitation and future well-being of children is both culturally sensitive and legally sound when restorative justice ideas are integrated with Islamic legal values and Indonesian statutory law.

Abstract

This study examines the protection of women's rights within marriage through the integrated lens of Islamic law and criminology, with a focus on domestic violence (KDRT) cases in Merangin Regency, Jambi Province. Employing a qualitative normative-empirical approach, data were gathered through in-depth interviews with victims, law enforcement officers, Islamic legal scholars, and relevant government officials, supplemented by documentary analysis of court decisions, institutional reports, and applicable regulations. The findings reveal that KDRT in Merangin exhibits escalatory, cyclical, and multidimensional patterns, predominantly perpetrated by husbands who exploit asymmetric power relations rooted in patriarchal gender constructions. Implementation of Law No. 23 of 2004 on the Elimination of Domestic Violence faces significant structural barriers, including delayed reporting, revictimization, distorted interpretations of qiwāmah, and inadequate inter-institutional coordination. From an Islamic legal perspective, all forms of domestic violence fundamentally contradict the principles of mu'āsyarah bil ma'rūf, maqāṣid al-syarī'ah, and the universal prohibition of ẓulm. The study concludes that effective protection requires simultaneous transformation across legal, cultural-religious, and institutional dimensions, wherein Islamic law and positive law mutually reinforce rather than contradict one another

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of using Taylor Swift’s songs on improving students’ selective listening skills at SMA Negeri 1 Loa Janan. Selective listening refers to learners’ ability to identify specific information, keywords, and main ideas from spoken texts. Songs were chosen as learning media because they provide authentic pronunciation, natural rhythm, and meaningful repetition that support focused listening practice. The study employed a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design involving 32 tenth-grade students. Data were collected using a listening test consisting of ten fill-in-the-blank questions based on selected Taylor Swift songs. The test measured students’ ability to recognize keywords and accurately complete missing words and phrases from the song lyrics. The instrument was reviewed by English teachers to ensure content relevance and clarity. The treatment was conducted over four instructional sessions using structured listening activities, including lyric prediction, gap-filling, and comprehension checks. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ selective listening performance after the treatment. The mean posttest score was higher than the pretest score, and statistical analysis using a paired-sample t-test indicated a significant difference at the 0.05 level. These findings suggest that integrating English songs into listening instruction can effectively support students’ ability to focus on specific auditory information and improve listening accuracy. This study offers practical implications for English teachers to use music-based activities as supplementary listening materials to enhance learner engagement and selective listening development in secondary school contexts.

Abstract

The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) has transformed English language learning through adaptive and personalized platforms such as Duolingo, ELSA Speak, and ChatGPT. While previous studies have focused mainly on learning outcomes and motivation, limited attention has been given to learners’ holistic user experience (UX). This study examines learners’ perceptions of usability, enjoyment, and accessibility in AI-powered English learning platforms and explores how contextual factors, including digital literacy, learning styles, and prior AI experience, influence user engagement. A mixed-methods design was employed. Quantitative data were collected using a User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) from 77 Indonesian EFL university students with at least three months of experience using AI-based platforms. Qualitative data were obtained through semi-structured interviews with five purposively selected participants. Descriptive statistics and correlational analysis were applied to quantitative data, while thematic analysis was used for qualitative data. The findings indicate positive perceptions across all UX dimensions, with accessibility receiving the highest rating (83%), followed by usability (81%) and enjoyment (80%). Task efficiency (76%) and visual design (73%) emerged as areas requiring improvement. Digital literacy and prior AI experience significantly influenced perceived usability and overall satisfaction. Qualitative findings highlight the importance of immediate feedback, adaptive features, and flexible learning environments, while also revealing concerns about reduced human interaction. These results underline the need for user-cantered design to ensure sustainable and inclusive AI-supported language learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi korelasi antara strategi manajemen kelas, strategi pembelajaran bahasa, dan keterlibatan siswa dalam pendidikan bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini melibatkan 139 mahasiswa Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris di Universitas Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Timur, yang dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan desain deskriptif-korelasional. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner terstruktur yang mengukur praktik manajemen kelas, keterlibatan siswa (perilaku, emosional, dan kognitif), dan strategi pembelajaran bahasa. Data telah dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif, korelasi Pearson, dan analisis regresi melalui SPSS. Hasilnya menunjukkan korelasi yang kuat dan signifikan secara statistik antara manajemen kelas dan keterlibatan siswa (r = 0,638) dan strategi pembelajaran bahasa (r = 0,660). Keterlibatan siswa juga berkorelasi signifikan dengan strategi pembelajaran bahasa (r = 0,598). Selain itu, temuan regresi menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan siswa dan strategi pembelajaran secara bersama-sama menyumbang 52,8% dari variasi dalam manajemen kelas. Temuan ini telah menekankan keterkaitan ketiga variabel dan menegaskan bahwa manajemen kelas yang efektif memainkan peran penting dalam mempromosikan keterlibatan siswa dan meningkatkan hasil pembelajaran bahasa. Penelitian ini telah memberikan kontribusi baik secara teoritis maupun praktis terhadap pengajaran bahasa Inggris dengan menyoroti pentingnya perencanaan pengajaran strategis dan manajemen kelas dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang menarik dan sukses.
