Abstract

The Postgraduate Islamic Education Study Program at Universitas Sunan Giri Surabaya in maintaining its commitment to advancing the quality of its graduates always tries to renew and update various strategies, so that the program and curriculum are always dynamic, this can be seen from several special programs such as microteaching for 3rd semester students whose benefits are extraordinary. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the ability of postgraduate students to teach PAI material to undergraduate students. This research uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were conducted through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Researchers conducted a process of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and the last step was conclusion drawing and verification. The results showed that 1) Evaluation of lecture material, it can be seen that there are still students who do not fully understand the material, this can be seen during discussion sessions with students. In the material on the relationship between the Qur'an and Science, in this session many students captured and understood the holy book of the Qur'an is a Divine Revelation that contains absolute truth from God and is always maintained in authenticity and integrity until the end of time, while in the material on the benefits of the Qur'an for humans many undergraduate students have not been able to understand the benefits of the Qur'an for humans in outline. 2) Evaluation of the situation and conditions during microteaching which includes strengths, weaknesses and obstacles and their solutions related to room conditions and the time of microteaching implementation.

Abstract

The students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Menara Qur'an Baiturrohman in Cangkring Sari Village, Sukodono District, Sidoarjo Regency face the problem of boredom in the teaching system. In overcoming this problem, a work program was created with the main objective of teaching reading and writing the Qur'an. The method implemented in the implementation of the work program is the ABCD method. The results of this work program show that students are able to more quickly understand the teaching process provided by the KKN team of Sunan Giri University Surabaya. The KKN team implemented teaching in the form of groups, by classifying each volume and Al-Qur'an. As a result, KKN participants can also understand how each student learns, considering that each student has a different learning process. This program succeeded in increasing the effectiveness of teaching and providing a better understanding of the students, as well as providing insight to the participants of the real work study regarding learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Menara Qur'an Baiturrohman.

Abstract

Real Work Lecture (KKN) activities are the role of students in implementing the khataman qur'an form of community service. The Real Work Lecture (KKN) of Sunan Giri Surabaya University group nineteen was held at the Griyo Mapan Sentosa Mosque Foundation, Waru District, Sidoarjo Regency. The Sunan Giri Surabaya University KKN team took an educational work program related to religion at the Griyo Mapan Sentosa Mosque Foundation. Religious knowledge must be fostered from a young age, activities in this religious field are carried out and will always exist in the lives of local people in the Griyo Mapan Sentosa Mosque Foundation area, Waru District, Sidoarjo Regency. This study uses qualitative methods and uses observation techniques and data collection by documenting activities that have been carried out. This program can be carried out well because students are able to establish good relationships with Griyo Mapan Sentosa residents and empower themselves.

Abstract

Emergency nurses’s somehow actually routine use of supplemental oxygen theraphy in chest pain patient because of acute coronary syndrome is done, without know that routine oxygen theraphy may potentially cause harm. The used method was by collecting and analyzing related textbook and articles with the use of supplemental oxygen theraphy in chest pain patient because of acute coronary syndrome. The literatures were obtained from textbook and electronic articles such as ScienceDirect, World Health Organization, Google Scholar, PubMed and ClinicalKey with textbook and article criteria that were published from 2000 to 2015. The result is routine use of supplemental oxygen theraphy for Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) with chest pain based on physical assessment and level of oxygen saturation. The patient of ACS with chest pain without sign and symtoms hypoxia or respiratory distress, syok and heart failure with oxygen saturation ≥94% then without oxygen theraphy, if the patient with one or all of sign and symtoms above with oxygen saturation <94% then oxygen therapy can be given with initial administration is 4 L/minute and in titration until oxygen saturation ≥94% with administered more than than 6 hours. The next reassessment is done to the patient. If the condition of the airway patent, the patient can breathe spontaneously, normal breathing (especially rhythm, depth and no respiratory muscle use), respiratory or oxygenation problems minimally and oxygen saturation > 94% then oxygen therapy can be given with nasal cannul 4-6L / minute or simple mask from 6- 10L / minute. If the patient is emergency condition with airway patent, spontaneous breathing with adequate depth ventilation and requiring oxygen in high concentrations may then be provided with a non-rebreathing mask. The conclucion is routine use of supplemental oxygen theraphy in acute coronary syndrom with chest pain not recommended and the oxygen theraphy can be given if the patient with oxygen saturation <94% or sign and symtoms hypoxia or respiratory distress, breathlessness, syok and heart failure Key word :Acute Coronary Syndrome, Chest Pain, Emergency Unit, Oxygen Therapy

Abstract

Cervical cancer accounts for the highest percentage of cancer-related deaths in Indonesia, accounting for nearly 60% of all cancer cases.  Therefore, research into the anticancer mechanisms needs to be conducted.  The ethanolic extract of Zingiber officinale (EEZO) contains zingiberene, a chemical known for its anticancer activity. Understanding the mechanism underlying the apoptosis-inducing effects is crucial. This study aimed to elucidate the apoptotic pathway and analyze the gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) profile of EEZO cells. The research commenced with the maceration of Zingiber officinale rhizomes using 75% ethanol to obtain EEZO. Apoptosis assays were conducted on both a negative control group and an EEZO-treated group of HeLa cells (cervical cancer cells). The apoptotic mechanism was evaluated using forward scattered light-side scattered light (FSC-SSC), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FTIC), and phycoerythrin (PE) flow cytometry. Apoptotic results were analyzed by comparing the control and EEZO samples, which revealed the number of viable cells, apoptotic cells, and cells in the sub-G1 phase. The major constituent of EEZO, which is expected to be a potent apoptosis inducer, was detected using GC/MS. The FSC-SSC results indicated a lower number of viable cells in the EEZO-exposed group than in the control group. FTIC results demonstrated that EEZO significantly increased apoptotic cell death, increasing from 68 to 1537 cells. PE flow cytometry revealed an elevated sub-G1 cell population, indicating the induction of apoptosis by EEZO. GC/MS analysis revealed five dominant components in EEZO, which had the potential to induce apoptosis: L-borneol, zingiberene, farnesol, beta-sesquiphellandrene, and alpha-curcumene ...

Abstract

Studi ini menjelaskan pentingnya pemahaman nilai-nilai etika dan estetika dalam konteks pendidikan Islam, serta mengulas bagaimana konsep-konsep ini dapat membentuk karakter individu dan masyarakat Muslim. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis teks-teks klasik dan kontemporer dalam literatur Islam, serta menganalisis relevansinya terhadap pendidikan saat ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman mendalam terhadap nilai etika dan estetika dalam Islam memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam membentuk moralitas dan keindahan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari umat Islam, serta menyediakan landasan untuk pengembangan pendidikan yang berpusat pada nilai-nilai Islam. Penelitian ini juga mengemukakan implikasi praktis untuk pengembangan kurikulum pendidikan Islam yang lebih berfokus pada pembentukan karakter dan keindahan dalam pendidikan.

Abstract

Background: Health science development is currently rapidly changing due to the Covid-19. Changes have taken place not only in terms of scientific development but also in terms of learning methods. Almost all learning methods have shifted into online learning, requiring students to be more active.Objectives: This study aims to determine the level of SDLR among pharmacy students in Indonesia, especially during the pandemic.Methods: The sampling was conducted using an proportional sampling technique based on the distribution of Pharmacy Schools (PTF) in all the provinces in Indonesia. The level of readiness of these pharmacy students was measured using a questionnaire that consisted of four domains. The questions were scored according to the characteristics of the questions (negative or positive).Results: The results of this study showed that 1884 respondents participated in this study. The basic characteristics showed that 89.1% participants were private pharmacy schools and 84.4% of them were female respondents. The mean of each domains of SDLR for self-management, the desire to learn, the emotional competency, and the responsible decision-making was 3.24 ± 2.65, 3.37 ± 2.09, 3.04 ± 1 87, 3.16 ± 2.16, respectively. Based on gender, the difference of mean in sub domain was p=0.000 (need for learning), p=0.002 (hope for outcome), and p=0.000 (identifying problem).Conclusion: In conclusion, the Self-Directed Learning Readiness (SDLR) among pharmacy students in Indonesia is quite high during the pandemic with a score above 3 (scale 1-4).

Abstract

Bajakah tampala (Spatholobus littoralis), a medicinal plant traditionally used in Indonesia, particularly on Kalimantan Island, has garnered interest for its potential health benefits. However, scientific evidence remains scarce. This study investigated the antioxidant activity of S. littoralis extract and its total phenolic and flavonoid content. Ethanol extraction and evaporation were used to prepare the extract. The DPPH method assessed antioxidant activity, while Folin–Ciocalteu and AlCl3 complexation methods quantified total phenolics and flavonoids, respectively. The S. littoralis extract exhibited strong antioxidant activity with an IC50 value of 54.19 ± 8.15 µg/mL. Additionally, the extract contained substantial levels of phenolics (0.649 ± 0.026% GAE) and flavonoids (1.084 ± 0.043% QE). These findings suggest a link between the high phenolic and flavonoid content of S. littoralis extract and its observed strong antioxidant activity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi tantangan serta strategi dalam mengatasi permasalahan pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di MIN 2 Surabaya. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini, dengan metode utama berupa wawancara mendalam. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari guru Pendidikan Agama Islam di MIN 2 Surabaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tantangan utama yang dihadapi meliputi keterbatasan sumber daya, variasi latar belakang siswa, dan kurangnya dukungan teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran. Untuk mengatasi tantangan ini, beberapa strategi yang telah diimplementasikan antara lain peningkatan kapasitas guru melalui pelatihan rutin, pengembangan materi pembelajaran yang lebih kontekstual, serta integrasi teknologi secara bertahap dalam proses belajar mengajar. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa dengan pendekatan yang adaptif dan kolaboratif, tantangan dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam dapat diatasi, sehingga meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di MIN 2 Surabaya. Temuan ini diharapkan  dapat  memberikan  kontribusibagi  perbaikanpraktik pembelajaran di sekolah-sekolah serupa.

Abstract

The Hypnoteaching method is to permanently and maximally increase students' learning motivation, due to the nature of the subconscious mind that stores a memory of one's mind starting from the womb since the spirit is blown until now. Thus raising a research title "Implementation of the Hypnoteaching Method in Increasing Santri Learning Motivation (Case Study of an-Nuur al-Fadhol Banyuwangi Islamic Boarding School)" with a problem definition whose discussion revolves around pre-induction, induction, deepening, suggestion/ giving suggestions, termination / awakening. As for the limitations of the discussion of learning motivation include: intrinsic motivational factors or within the students and extrinsic motivational factors or from outside the students, all of which need an in-depth study.The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze the Implementation of the Hypnoteaching Method in Increasing Learning Motivation in Santri Pondok Pesantren an-Nuur al-Fadhol BanyuwangiThis study uses qualitative methods, and data collection by interviews, observation, and documentation. The analysis techniques used include: data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions.The results of this study can be summed up as follows: First, Improved Santri Learning Motivation at Pondok Pesantren an-Nuur al-Fadhol Banyuwangi can be through two factors, namely intrinsic (inside the students including interests and talents) and extrinsic (outside the students including: support from other people old and the environment).Second, the implementation of the hypnoteaching method in increasing learning motivation in Islamic boarding school students an-nuur al-fadhol Banyuwangi through several stages including: pre-talk, induction, deepening, giving suggestions, and termination (development/normalization).It is hoped that future researchers will conduct more in-depth research on the implementation of the hypnoteaching method in increasing learning motivation in students.
