Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the 7P marketing mix strategy in the context of educational service marketing at Aqobah International School (AIS) Jombang. The strategy encompasses seven key elements: product, price, place, promotion, people, physical evidence, and process. As a pesantren-based Islamic educational institution with an international vision, AIS has developed an integrative marketing approach to attract public attention, especially from parents seeking high-quality education embedded with strong religious values. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings indicate that implementing the 7P marketing mix strategy at AIS effectively strengthens the institution’s image and increases public interest in the educational programs offered.

Abstract

Building quality Islamic educational institutions to produce competitive graduates is an urgent need today. The quality is derived from a quality culture, so the quality of Islamic educational institutions should be from ‘the Islamic quality culture’ managed by the institutions themselves. The design of a quality culture is worthy of consideration. Since Islam is a perfect religion, if the ‘Spirit of Islam’ is successfully adapted by an educational institution, the institution deserves to be called a true Islamic educational institution. Such kind of institution can answer most of the public demands. This research was conducted at two Islamic education institutions, MAN 2 Malang and MBI Amanatul Ummah Mojokerto. From the qualitative study, it was found that both institutions had implemented the principles and mechanisms of ‘taking the spirit of Islam’ and using it as the design of the institutions’ quality culture. Thus, this resulted in various quality excellences in students, teachers, educational staff, and educational institutions. The design of the quality culture of both institutions followed the principles of: 1) focus on God’s truth, 2) the power of dedication, 3) riyadlah/self-discipline, and 4) commitment to quality. This is the design of a quality culture with the spirit of Islam in Islamic educational institutions, which is able to produce optimal and sustainable quality.

Abstract

The development of the Islamic capital market in Indonesia shows a positive trend, supported by an increase in market capitalization and investor confidence in Islamic stock indices such as ISSI. On the other hand, the infrastructure sector has also experienced significant growth as reflected in the increase in the JKINFRA index stock price in recent years. Stock returns as a return on investment are the main concern of investors in assessing a company's performance. This study aims to test the effect of return on equity, current ratio, and debt to equity ratio on stock returns, and to determine whether company size can moderate the relationship between these variables on stock returns. The research method used is quantitative with a multiple linear regression approach and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) analysis. The data used are secondary data from the company's financial statements for the period 2020–2023. The results of this study indicate that return on equity and current ratio partially do not have a significant effect on stock returns. Meanwhile, debt to equity ratio has a negative and significant effect on stock returns. Simultaneously, there is an influence between return on equity, current ratio, and debt to equity ratio on stock returns. Company size can strengthen the relationship between return on equity, current ratio, and debt to equity ratio on stock returns.

Abstract

Abstract: Public trust in amil zakat institutions is a key factor in optimizing national zakat collection. Although Indonesia has a vast zakat potential, actual collection remains low. One of the main causes is the lack of public trust in zakat management institutions, particularly concerning transparency, accountability, and fund management security. In the context of technological advancement, the digitalization of zakat payment systems emerges as a promising solution to enhance efficiency, accessibility, and public trust. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing public trust in digital zakat platforms, using the National Amil Zakat Institution Baitul Maal Hidayatullah (BMH) as a case study. The research adopts a quantitative approach with an associative research design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 150 respondents who are active users of BMH’s digital platform. The analytical method used is exploratory factor analysis to identify the latent structure of variables forming the trust construct. The results indicate three main factors that significantly influence public trust in digital zakat platforms: digital security, transparency and reporting, and ease of use. These three factors show a strong relationship in shaping public perceptions of the credibility of technology-based zakat systems. The findings affirm that trust in digital zakat services is influenced not only by technological factors but also by institutional integrity and the overall quality of user experience.

Abstract

The Merdeka Campus Internship Program at Yudharta Pasuruan University is part of an effort to enhance the quality of education by integrating academic theory and real-world practical experience in the workplace. Although the academic curriculum provides a foundation of knowledge, students often struggle to develop learning independence and professional skills when facing real challenges in the field. This issue encourages the need for a systematic and structured internship program to bridge the gap between theory and practice. The aim of this research is to analyze the design, implementation, and evaluation of the internship program in improving students' learning independence and their readiness to face the workforce. The research method used is descriptive-qualitative, with data collection through observations of internship activities, logbooks, weekly reports, and interviews with students, supervising lecturers, and industry supervisors. Data analysis is conducted by linking field findings to Kolb's Experiential Learning principles, which include concrete experience, reflection, conceptualization, and active experimentation. The research results show that the internship program effectively reinforces the principles of Experiential Learning, where students are able to apply theory to practice, reflect on experiences, develop improvement strategies, and enhance self-directed learning. The evaluations conducted collaboratively between lecturers and industry partners also strengthen the development of technical competencies and soft skills, including creativity, initiative, teamwork, and professionalism

Abstract

Local community-based sustainable tourism is an important strategy in developing a tourism sector that is oriented towards community welfare. This research aims to explore a sustainable tourism development model that involves local communities as the main actors in the management and development of tourist destinations. The method used is literature review by analyzing various previous studies regarding policies, strategies, and social, economic and environmental impacts of community-based tourism. The study results show that the active involvement of local communities in tourism planning and management can improve economic welfare through employment opportunities and micro-enterprises. Apart from that, the community-based sustainable tourism model also contributes to cultural and environmental preservation by instilling conservation values and local wisdom. However, there are challenges that need to be overcome, such as lack of human resource capacity, capital and access to global markets. Therefore, synergy is needed between the government, tourism industry players and the community in creating an inclusive and sustainable tourism ecosystem. With the right approach, community-based tourism development can be a catalyst in improving community welfare and preserving cultural heritage and the environment.

Abstract

This study systematically analyzes the digital transformation of Islamic boarding school-based Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and their role in enhancing local economic competitiveness, with a focus on digital marketing and promotion strategies. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, this study synthesizes findings from 14 relevant articles published between 2014 and 2025. The results show that Islamic boarding school MSMEs actively adopt digital marketing through various platforms such as social media (Facebook, Instagram, Instagram Reels, Twitter) and e-commerce to expand market reach and significantly increase sales. Islamic boarding schools are identified as a vital supporting ecosystem, providing human resources (students), alumni networks, and a unique foundation of sharia values, all of which support MSMEs economic activities. However, challenges such as lack of digital literacy, limited capital, and online market competition remain. Therefore, multi-sector collaboration (e.g., the One Pesantren One Product/OPOP program) and institutional and community involvement are key to the success of digital-based MSMEs empowerment. A conceptual visualization model presented in this study illustrates the synergistic relationship between the role of Islamic boarding schools, the development of MSMEs digital capacity, the adoption of marketing strategies, and increasing local economic competitiveness.
