Abstract

The purpose of implementing Peer Counseling Training for students is to provide knowledge and skills on how to conduct peer counseling and to instill an understanding that peer counseling is a form of social support for fellow students. The training method employs structured learning with the stages of preparation, assessment, implementation, and evaluation (3PE). The training activities were attended by 26 student representatives who would subsequently provide support to new students. The outcomes of the training indicate that students are capable of understanding the benefits and stages of implementing peer counseling through the conducted simulations. Evaluation results demonstrate that students comprehend that the execution of peer counseling serves as a form of social support for their fellow students.

Abstract

This study investigates the determinants of tax compliance intention among pre-service taxpayers using an extended Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) framework. Integrating attitudes towards tax compliance (ATC), subjective norms (SN), and perceived ease with tax laws (PETX) enhances the traditional TPB model's predictive power. Data collected via a survey of pre-service taxpayers and analyzed with structural equation modeling (SEM) reveal that ATC significantly enhances tax awareness (TA) with a path coefficient of 0.397 (p < 0.001), while SN and PETX also positively affect TA with path coefficients of 0.293 (p < 0.001) and 0.195 (p < 0.001), respectively. ATC and PETX show significant direct effects on tax compliance behavior (TCB), with total effects of 0.399 (p < 0.001) and 0.403 (p < 0.001). Although SN does not directly affect TCB, its indirect effect through TA (0.082, p < 0.05) is significant. TA significantly impacts tax compliance (TC) with a path coefficient of 0.277 (p < 0.001). These results suggest that enhancing positive attitudes towards tax compliance, leveraging social norms, and simplifying tax laws are crucial for increasing tax awareness and compliance among pre-service taxpayers. The study offers valuable insights for policymakers and tax authorities to develop effective educational and regulatory strategies aimed at fostering voluntary tax compliance, contributing to the literature by validating the extended TPB model and emphasizing early intervention in tax education.

Abstract

Abstrak.  Pemberdayaan Kompetensi Guru Komputer Melalui Pemanfaatan AI dan Bahasa Python” bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam kecerdasan buatan (AI) dan pemrograman Python, sehingga mereka dapat mengikuti perkembangan teknologi. Program ini mempersiapkan guru dan siswa menghadapi tantangan di era digital dengan meningkatkan kompetensi, inovasi, dan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Kegiatan dimulai dengan pertemuan bersama ketua MGMP untuk menyampaikan program pemberdayaan berbasis masyarakat di bidang pendidikan. Hasil survei menunjukkan dua masalah utama: kurangnya guru yang kompeten dalam pemrograman dan AI, serta kebutuhan mendesak untuk meningkatkan kapasitas guru dalam bidang teknologi informasi. Setelah pelatihan, pemrograman Python diterapkan dalam pembelajaran berbasis proyek menggunakan AI, sehingga guru lebih percaya diri dan dapat mengintegrasikan teknologi ini ke dalam materi pembelajaran, membuat metode pengajaran lebih interaktif dan inovatif, serta mendorong siswa untuk aktif dan mengembangkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah. Kata Kunci: PKM, Artificial Inteligency, Bahasa Python, Pelatihan, Guru TIK

Abstract

In learning activities, common issues such as time-consuming and manipulation-prone attendance processes, as well as subjective and inconsistent essay grading, often arise. This study aims to develop PressAI, an AI-based application that automates attendance using QR code technology and provides objective essay grading powered by the OpenAI API. The application was developed using the Agile methodology integrated within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) framework, through iterative stages including planning, requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The results demonstrate that PressAI enables instant and accurate attendance recording via QR scanning, provides a seamless login experience without repeated authentication, and delivers fast and objective essay assessments. With its features, PressAI is expected to enhance efficiency and transparency in the learning process while offering opportunities for further innovative feature development.

Abstract

The low cognitive skills and ethical understanding of students in utilizing AI technology are major challenges in higher education in the digital era. This community service aims to improve these aspects through a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach based on collaborative project-based learning. The method consists of four stages: building collaborative relationships between students, lecturers, and the campus community; implementing real-case-based projects supported by intensive training on AI, ethics, and the preparation of Student Creativity Program Proposals (PKM); reflective analysis of student ideas; and proposal presentations for evaluation. The results show significant improvements in pre-test and post-test scores, both in cognitive aspects (15.52 to 20.52) and ethical understanding (15.52 to 19.31). The implication of this service is that collaborative project-based learning effectively builds students' cognitive and ethical competencies holistically and can be adopted as a learning model to prepare students for responsibly facing technological challenges.

Abstract

This programme proposes and evaluates the implementation of a training programme titled "Improving Entrepreneurship Students' Tax Literacy Through Tax Socialisation Programme" which aims to improve tax understanding and skills of tax literacy among students majoring in entrepreneurship. A preliminary study was conducted to analyse the level of tax literacy and students' needs, providing a basis for designing an appropriate socialisation programme. The implementation of the programme was carried out in accordance with the plan and schedule that had been set. Evaluation was conducted through monitoring participants' participation and their responses during the socialisation activities.  The results of this study are expected to provide insight into the effectiveness of tax socialisation programmes in improving the tax literacy of entrepreneurship students. The conclusions from this study can provide a basis for the development of similar programmes in various higher education contexts and different disciplines.

Abstract

The purpose of this service activity is to improve the Computational Thinking (CT) skills of vocational students through the Bebras Challenge training program. Since its introduction by Wing in 2006, CT has become a major focus in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education. In the context of this service activity, some of the problems identified involved students' lack of proficiency in CT, ignorance of Bebras Challenge activities, and lack of promotion of the use of the internet in CT learning. This training was carried out by applying lecture methods, question and answer sessions, and exercises/practices. The results of the implementation of this service activity show that students can apply Computational Thinking to solve everyday problems. This service method proved effective in motivating students and teachers to actively use technology as a CT learning tool. In addition, this training helps students to better understand the types of challenges faced in Bebras and the concept of CT.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian ini membahas tentang upaya peningkatan kapasitas guru dalam menulis artikel ilmiah dengan memanfaatkan Artificial Intelligence (AI). Melalui pendekatan Action Research, para guru terlibat langsung dalam proses perbaikan dan pengembangan kemampuan mereka dalam literasi digital dan teknik penulisan artikel ilmiah. Tahapan pengabdian kepada masyarakat melibatkan langkah-langkah sistematis untuk mencapai tujuan peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam memanfaatkan AI. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam menulis artikel ilmiah, yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas publikasi ilmiah mereka. Dengan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang AI, guru diharapkan dapat mengintegrasikan teknologi ini secara efektif dalam pembelajaran, menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif dan adaptif. Kesimpulannya, pengabdian ini memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam meningkatkan literasi digital dan kemampuan menulis artikel ilmiah guru, serta memberikan landasan untuk pengembangan kegiatan pengabdian di masa mendatang.

Abstract

Program ini mengusulkan dan mengevaluasi implementasi pelatihan berjudul "Peningkatan Kompetensi Back End Web Programming: Pelatihan JavaScript untuk Mahasiswa" dengan tujuan mempersiapkan mahasiswa dalam kompetensi pemrograman web di bidang back end. Dilakukan studi pendahuluan untuk menganalisis tingkat kompetensi awal mahasiswa dalam JavaScript, yang menjadi dasar dalam merancang program pelatihan yang sesuai. Pelaksanaan program dilakukan sesuai rencana dan jadwal yang telah ditetapkan, sementara evaluasi dilakukan dengan memantau partisipasi peserta dan respons mereka selama kegiatan sosialisasi. Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman tentang efektivitas program dalam meningkatkan kemampuan JavaScript untuk pengembangan back end website. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan landasan untuk pengembangan kompetensi pemrograman web mahasiswa khususnya dalam penggunaan JavaScript untuk pengembangan back end.

Abstract

Sex education for early childhood is a crucial step in preventing sexual abuse, particularly within an educational environment rooted in Islamic values. This program introduced sex education through animated videos at Al-Furqan Islamic Kindergarten, utilizing child-friendly and religiously appropriate educational media. Through an Action Research approach, the program was implemented in five stages: preparation, implementation, evaluation, reflection, and improvement actions. The results indicate that animated videos effectively enhanced children's understanding of self-protection and body boundaries. The program also alleviated parental concerns about the sensitive nature of the topic through their involvement in educational sessions and discussions, which helped create a supportive educational environment. Evaluation demonstrated a significant improvement in children's comprehension, while reflection provided valuable insights for continuous improvement, including developing a communication guide for parents. Overall, animated videos proved to be an effective method for introducing comprehensive sex education to young children, integrating Islamic values, and fostering collaboration between schools and families. Abstrak Pendidikan seksual pada anak usia dini merupakan langkah penting dalam pencegahan kekerasan seksual, terutama dalam lingkungan pendidikan berbasis nilai keislaman. Program ini memperkenalkan pendidikan seksual melalui video animasi di TK Islam Al-Furqan sebagai media edukasi yang ramah anak dan sesuai dengan nilai agama. Melalui pendekatan Action Research, kegiatan ini terbagi dalam lima tahap: persiapan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, refleksi, dan tindakan perbaikan. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan video animasi efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman anak tentang perlindungan diri dan batasan tubuh. Program ini juga mengurangi kekhawatiran orang tua terkait sensitivitas materi melalui keterlibatan mereka dalam sesi edukasi dan diskusi, yang membantu menciptakan lingkungan edukatif yang suportif. Evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman anak-anak, sedangkan refleksi menghasilkan masukan berharga untuk perbaikan berkelanjutan, termasuk pengembangan panduan komunikasi bagi orang tua. Secara keseluruhan, video animasi terbukti sebagai metode efektif untuk mengenalkan pendidikan seksual yang komprehensif pada anak usia dini, mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai keislaman, dan mendorong kolaborasi antara sekolah dan keluarga.
