Abstract

This study aims to produce flipchart media products to improve the reading ability of children with special needs with autism in inclusive schools. Because education is the right of every child. Therefore, children with special needs with autism have the right to receive learning according to their conditions. This research method uses research and development methods with a 4-D cycle (define, design, develop and disseminate). The subjects of this study were 6 students with special needs with autism at SD Muhammadiyah, Tulangan sub-district Sidoarjo. The sample of 6 students was selected based on categories, 2 students with mild autism and reading difficulties, 2 students with moderate autism and reading difficulties and 2 students with severe reading difficulties. The results of the study are as follows: (1) the material from the flipchart media developed is declared very feasible with a percentage value of 85.5%. (2) the results of the percentage value of media flipchart get a value of 83.75% with a decent category. (3) the test of the effectiveness of the developed flipchart media obtained a percentage value of 83.33%, a significance value of 0.000 > 0.05 so that there was a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test. Through the n-gain test, the score was obtained 0.33 which means the effect of the application is categorized as 'medium'. It can be concluded that the flipchart media developed had a positive effect on the reading ability of students with special needs with autism at SD Muhammadiyah Tulangan Sidoarjo. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguji keefektifan penerapan media loose part dalam pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa dan fisik motorik  anak usia 4-5 tahun. Penelitian dilaksanakan melalui pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Model yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model Quasi Eksperiment dengan satu macam perlakuan. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah anak kelompok B usia 5-6 tahun di Taman Kanak-Kanak Dharma Wanita Suko Kecamatan Sukodono Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Kelompok eksperimen terdiri dari kelas B-1 (kelompok harimau) sebanyak 16 Anak, dan kelas B2 (kelompok cendrawasih) sebanyak 17 anak. kelompok kontrol terdiri dari B1 (kelompok gajah) 16 anak dan B2 (kelompok merpati) 16 anak. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui teknik observasi, dokumentasi dan instrument penelitian. Data penelitian dianalisis secara statistik parametrik uji homogenitas. Hasil analisis data menujukkan bahwa: 1) media pembelajaran Loosepart berbahan plastik   berpengaruh pada kemampuan bahasa pada anak usia 4-5 tahun; 2) media pembelajaran Loosepart berbahan plastik  berpengaruh pada kemampuan fisik motorik halus pada anak usia 4-5 tahun.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh keterampilan membaca dan sikap bahasa terhadap kemampuan mengapresiasi puisi pada siswa kelas V di SD. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V di Kecamatan Kabola Kabupaten Alor yang berjumlah 72 siswa dari 3 sekolah. Teknik pengambilan sampel penelitian ini menggunakan teknik proportional random sampling dengan cara di undi sehingga ketemu sampel sebanyak 51 responden. Setelah dilakukan uji normalitas dan linearitas, hipotesis diuji. Penelitian ini menggunakan PMC untuk pengujian hipotesis. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut : 1) Adanya pengaruh keterampilan membaca terhadap kemampuan mengapresiasi puisi pada siswa kelas V di SD Inti 1 kecamatan Kabola Kabupaten Alor dengan mean 73,4706; Standar deviasi 12,01058; standar error mean adalah 1.68182 dan thitung untuk x1 adalah 43,685. 2) Adanya pengaruh sikap bahasa terhadap kemampuan mengapresiasi puisi pada siswa kelas V di SD Inti 1 kecamatan Kabola, Kabupaten Alor dengan mean 22,4314; Standar deviasi 4,58369;  standar error mean adalah 0,64184 dan thitung untuk x2 adalah 34,948. 3) Adanya pengaruh keterampilan membaca dan sikap bahasa terhadap kemampuan mengapresiasi puisi pada siswa kelas V di SD Inti 1 kecamatan Kabola, Kabupaten Alor dengan mean 27,7843; Standar deviasi 30,89292;  standar error mean adalah 4.32587 dan thitung untuk Y adalah 6,423. 4) Dari hasil pengolahan data, peneliti menolak H0 dan terima H1. Dengan kata lain adanya pengaruh yang signifikan antara ketrampilan membaca dan sikap bahasa terhadap kemampuan apresiasi puisi kelas V SD Inti 1 kecamatan Kabola Kabupaten Alor.

Abstract

Abstrak Pandemi covid-19 yang melanda seluruh dunia menyebabkan lumpuhnya sektor ekonomi, sosial budaya dan pendidikan. Kebijakan baru yang dikeluarkan oleh pemerintah Indonesia adanya Pembatasan Berskala Besar menyebabkan seluruh kegiatan diharuskan mulai dari rumah ataupun online. Salah satunya bidang pendidikan yang pelaksanaanya melalui daring dari jenjang Taman Kanak-kanak hingga Perguruan Tinggi. Hal ini menyebabkan beban orangtua yang semakin berat diharuskan menjadi guru pengganti di sekolah menjadi guru di rumah. Akibatnya tak sedikit pula orangtua yang belum memahami bagaimana cara mengajar anak hingga membuat rasa emosi semakin meluap. Komunikasi dalam keluarga sangat penting dilakukan. Terutama dalam masa pandemic seperti ini, berkomunikasi dengan anak selalu dilakukan saat mendampingi belajar. Oleh karena itu mahasiswa Pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Surabaya mengadakan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat guna memberikan solusi guna membangaun komunikasi yang ramah anak selama pandemi antara orangtua dan anak. Kata kunci: Covid-19, Reward dan Punishment, Komunikasi Efektif Abstract The COVID-19 pandemic that has hit the whole world has paralyzed the economic, socio-cultural and educational sectors. The new policy issued by the Indonesian government is the existence of Large-Scale Restrictions, causing all activities to be required to start from home or online. One of them is in the field of education, which is implemented online from Kindergarten to Higher Education levels. This causes an increasingly heavy burden on parents being required to become substitute teachers at school to become teachers at home. As a result, not a few parents who do not understand how to teach children to make emotions overflow. Communication within the family is very important. Especially during a pandemic, communicating with children is always done while accompanying learning. Therefore, Postgraduate students at the State University of Surabaya held community service activities to provide solutions to build child-friendly communication during the pandemic between parents and children. Abstract

This research and development aims to produce character-based textbooks using multimedia that are of good quality in terms of validity, practicality, and effectiveness that can improve students' critical thinking skills. The research adopted the 4D model, which consists of four stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. Data were collected through expert validation questionnaires, observation sheets of teacher and student activities, student response questionnaires, and critical thinking tests (pretest and posttest). The results of the study indicated that: (1) the character-based textbooks were highly appropriate, (2) the textbooks were found to be highly practical based on observations of teacher and student activities and received very positive feedback from students, (3) the textbooks were effective in improving critical thinking skills, as demonstrated by the medium category of n-gain on the critical thinking test and the posttest average score being higher than the pretest average score. This character-based textbook can assist teachers in instilling character and improving critical thinking skills in fourth grade elementary school students.

Abstract

Kecakapan literasi perlu ditanamkan sejak dini. Literasi pada anak mampu menstimulasi dalam tahapan ganda anak usia dini yaitu secara kognitif dan bonding. Literasi ini diintegrasikan dengan teknologi berbasis Augmented Reality sebagai salah satu Media Literasi Pendukung untuk anak usia untuk menghadirkan pengalaman visual yang baru agar pengalaman membaca pada anak lebih menyenangkan Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran sentra berbasis Augmented Reality untuk meningkatkan perkembangan literasi anak TK B dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif Quasy Experimental. Sampel yang digunakan adalah anak usia 5-6 tahun atau kelompok B. Pada uji hipotesis diperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,001 untuk hasil di kelompok eksperimen. Dimana hasil menunjukkan 0,05 berdasarkan pedoman untuk melakukan uji hipotesis bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Sehingga dapat diketahui bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dalam model pembelajaran menggunakan AR terhadap kemampuan literasi anak. Sehingga dapat diketahui bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan dalam model pembelajaran menggunakan AR terhadap kemampuan literasi anak.

Abstract

Being able to write a child's story is one of the competencies that must be mastered by prospective elementary school teachers. Through the story written, a teacher can also form the character of his students without being patronizing. Children's stories function to smooth the taste in students, enrich the mind, and equip with other forms of skills. In addition, it also fills the inner wealth of students with the moral values of life. For that, children's story work written by students needs to be analyzed for eligibility. Through this study, analyzed the feasibility of 36 children's stories in a book entitled "Hamchi in the Dwarf's Nest" written by students in the class of 2018C majoring in S1 PGSD FIP Surabaya State University. Data collection is done by documentation techniques using children's story feasibility assessment instruments that are developed into 5 aspects of assessment, namely language, story titles, story content, story characters, and moral messages. The results of the processing and analysis of data were 6 children's stories (17%) worthy categories and 30 other children's stories (83%) very viable categories. It found several themes according to the needs and characteristics of students carried in the child's story. Especially in the development and strengthening of student character. It can be concluded that all children's stories written are worthy of learning Literary Appreciation in elementary school.

Abstract

Many students, both native Papuans and immigrants, currently do not know their own culture. In addition, through surveys and comparative studies of local culture-based books and media that review the culture in Southwest Papua itself, it is still very rare to find. This study aims to produce the development of an animated video media pop up book based on the local culture of West Papua to increase the general knowledge of cultural literacy of fourth grade elementary school students that is valid, practical, and effective. The research method used is Research & Development to create Pop Up Book Video Animation media. This research utilizes the 4D model for media development. The four steps of the 4D model according to Thiagarajan include: 1) Define which aims to establish learning criteria, such as learning objectives and material limitations; 2) Design aims to design the developed media; 3) Develop, the learning tool underwent the last revision before being published, with adjustments made in response to suggestions from experts and data from trials; 4) Disseminate, students take advantage of learning media that have undergone development and testing on a larger scale, then the product will be disseminated via YouTube. The location of this research was SD Inpres 15 located in Sorong Regency with 5 students selected to take part in small-scale and large-scale trials. The results of the study found that learning using the animated pop up book video media that had been developed could improve student learning outcomes. This can be seen from the number of students who received a complete score on the local culture of Southwest Papua.

Abstract

This study introduces a novel approach by utilizing distinct thematic worksheets with a scientific framework to actively engage 5-6-year-old children in critical thinking through the scientific process. The worksheets appreciate cognitive development, analytical skills, and higher-order thinking. This innovative method encourages active participation and the development of cognitive and analytical abilities in children. The research focuses on the development of scientific-based thematic worksheets to enhance the cognitive and language abilities of 5-6-year-old children in PAUD, specifically at the Soleh Children Education Park (TAPAS) in Taman District, Sidoarjo Regency. The study employed a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design, involving 21 children as research participants. The development process followed the Research and Development (R&D) framework, comprising 10 stages. Data collection included the validation of the worksheets by subject matter and media experts to assess their feasibility. The findings highlight the effectiveness of the scientific-based thematic worksheets, as demonstrated by significant improvements in the cognitive and language abilities of the 5-6-year-old students at TAPAS. Overall, this study contributes to early childhood education by introducing an innovative educational resource that enhances critical thinking skills and promotes deeper understanding among young learners.

Abstract

Based on the needs analysis that was carried out in Class V SD Al-Islam Gresik, there is an obstacle that teachers have limitations in teaching, one of which is influenced by the availability of educational media that can help teachers use simple media that are located around the classroom area and have never used media. audio visual in the form of 3D in education. Based on data analysis and discussion of research results, then associated with the formulation of the problem and research objectives, the conclusion was obtained, namely media validation from the results of media experts with very good grades. The validator gives a score of 96%, meaning that audio-visual media with validation from experts is very feasible to use, material validation from the results of material experts with very good grades. The validator gives an assessment reaching 93%, meaning that audio-visual media with validation from experts is very feasible to use, the practicality of the media gets grades from the teacher in a very practical category, the teacher gives an assessment that reaches 95%, meaning that the media developed is feasible to use and very practical on a small scale because it does not require a lot of time, the practicality of the media gets value from student responses in the very practical category, students give an assessment with a 90% percentage mode, meaning that the developed media is feasible to use and is very practical on a small scale (n = 5 children) because it does not require much time. a lot, the effectiveness of the media gets a score from student responses in the very effective category, students give an assessment with a 90% percentage mode meaning that the media developed is feasible to use and very effective on a large scale (n = 10 children) because the efficiency of critical thinking in students has increased.
