Development of Android-based Augmented Reality Learning Media Through Project Based Learning on Flat Side Building Materials to Improve Students' Mathematical Spatial Abilities at SMPN3 Medan Alawiyah, Tuti

Abstract

Augmented Reality is a technology that is able to combine the real and virtual worlds by displaying three-dimensional (3D) objects on the device's camera media so that on the device screen you can see 3D objects that appear to exist in the real world. This research aims to develop and test the feasibility of an Augmented Reality-based module that can improve students' spatial abilities. This research is development research with the Plomp development model which consists of: Preliminary Investigation; Design; Realization; Test, Evaluation, and Revision. The instruments used were expert validation sheets, observation sheets, interview guidelines, teacher and student response questionnaires, learning outcomes tests, pretest and posttest of student spatial abilities. The types of data are qualitative data and quantitative data. The data analysis carried out was expert team validation data analysis, practicality data analysis, and effectiveness data analysis. The research results show that the material expert score is 91.53% and the design expert score is 90.53%, which is in the very valid category. The module has also been declared practical as seen from the teacher response questionnaire score of 80.00% in the practical category, and the questionnaire score in the small group trial of 84.26% and in the field test of 84.38% in the very practical category. Effectiveness is shown by 83.33% of students completing the learning outcomes test, and the results of the N-Gain calculation show that 11 students experienced a moderate increase in spatial ability and 13 students experienced a high increase in spatial ability. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the Augmented Reality-based module for flat-sided building material that has been developed is suitable for use as learning teaching material. The research objective is to develop learning media with Android-based augmented reality in junior high school level mathematics lessons. The research method used to develop this learning media is a type of research and development (RND). The development model used is the ADDIE model with stages Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. In this research, the product has been validated by media experts, material experts and language experts, as well as students on a small scale. The results of the validation of experts and students can be concluded that learning media with Android-based augmented reality is in the very feasible category with the validation percentage obtained by media experts 95%, material experts 93.28%, language experts 87.5% and student validation 90.19%. So that learning media with Android-based augmented reality is suitable for use as a mathematics learning media for junior high school level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan fenomena rendahnya tingkat pendidikan dan keterampilan anak pemulung dan dhuafa. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, anak pemulung dan dhuafa yang putus sekolah bahkan tidak pernah mengenyam dunia persekolahan diberikan beberapa jenis pelatihan, salah satunya ialah pelatihan keterampilan menjahit untuk membantu meningkatkan perekonomian keluarga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pelatihan keterampilan menjahit dan hasil pelatihan keterampilan menjahit dalam upaya pemberdayaan anak pemulung dan dhufa oleh Sekolah KAMI di Kota Bekasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan mengguakan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari empat responden, yaitu penanggungjawab pelatihan keterampilan menjahit, instruktur dan dua orang warga belajar pelatihan. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa proses pelatihan keterampilan menjahit dibagi menjadi tiga tahap yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Persiapan ditentukan dengan menetapkan tujuan pelatihan,  pemilihan materi, media dan metode yang akan digunakan dalam proses pelatihan. Pelaksanaan pelatihan keterampilan menjahit dilakukan dengan pendekatan dan pendampingan kepada setiap warga belajar. Tahap evaluasi dilakukan pada setiap akhir pertemuan untuk mengukur sejauh mana kemampuan yang telah diperoleh setelah mengikuti pelatihan keterampilan menjahit. Selanjutnya, Hasil yang diperoleh dari proses pelatihan keterampilan menjahit adalah warga belajar dapat mengembangkan pengetahuan, potensi dan kemampuannya, serta dapat juga menerapkan keterampilan yang telah diberikan selama berada di Sekolah KAMI. Setelah lulus dari Sekolah KAMI, warga belajar akan disalurkan kembali ke Balai Latihan Kerja (BLK) untuk lebih mendalami proses pelatihan keterampilan menjahit, selanjutnya pihak lembaga hanya akan mengawasi dan memantau perkembangan warga belajar.Kata kunci : Pelatihan Keterampilan Menjahit, Pemberdayaan Anak Pemulung dan Dhuafa.

Abstract

This study aims to describe efforts to improve the Islamic character of children through the method of memorizing hadith in early childhood education in the Tempos Kujur hamlet of Genggelang village. This research was conducted at Early Childhood Education in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year with a total of 20 students where this research is a classroom action research. The technique of memorizing hadith in an effort to improve the Islamic character of children uses props where the movements are in the form of cues and collaborate with existing themes with the methods used. While the data collection techniques are through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the inculcation of children's Islamic characters through the method of memorizing hadith in early childhood education in Tempos Kujur village, Genggelang village has increased after doing the 2nd cycle where in the first cycle there are BB 2 children, MB 8 people and BSH 10 children with classical completeness 50%. then in cycle II, BB is empty, MB is 3 children and BSH is 17 children with 85% classical completeness, this means that they are experiencing good development, because there is a 35% increase in classical completeness from cycle I to cycle II. This shows the application of the hadith memorization method in an effort to improve Islamic character. Children in Early Childhood Education in Tempos Kujur Village, Genggelang Village, are very helpful in choosing a learning method.

Abstract

Many mathematics books presented in an abstract way and ended in student’s perception of difficult subject for mathematics. The goal of this research was to develop geometry learning instruction by using Malay batik patterns on the topic of transformation for junior high school students. The use of local context expect helping student in learning. The ADDIE model which consist of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation is used in this RD research. A validation sheet serves as the validity instrument, which evaluates the accuracy of the instructional materials.  The validity of teaching materials was determined with the average score was 3.57, which was considered to be valid. The practicality tool is a worksheet for utilising instructional resources. This study's implementation was carried out for a limited sample, the practicality percentage value is 89.61%, with a very practical category. The development of the research's end product has led to the creation of geometry transformation teaching materials for junior high school ninth graders that are both valid and practical and are based on Riau Malay batik themes.

Abstract

This research is to describe teachers' strategies in implementing school rules and regulations in class III at SDN 3 Sigar Penjalin for the 2023/2024 academic year. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach in terms of the method is a descriptive method. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation techniques. The data sources for this research are school principals, teachers and students. And the data analysis techniques used in this research are data collection, data reduction, presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show: (1) Implementation of school rules in class III at SDN 3 Sigar Penjalin. The results of research conducted by researchers at SDN 3 Sigar Penjalin show that the implementation of school rules at SDN 3 Sigar Penjalin is still said to be not going well. Because there are still some students who do not obey and carry out school rules properly. There are still some students who violate the rules that have been made by the school. For example, arriving late and not wearing full uniform attributes during the flag ceremony. (2) Factors that cause violations of discipline in class III of SDN 3 Sigar Penjalin. Environmental factors are the main points that influence children's lack of discipline in learning. However, building an environment that cares about education is not an easy job. Parents of students who have never received education will find it difficult to determine methods or educate their children with the right approach. On the other hand, a good environment that cares about education demands learning support facilities such as access to book technology and other learning facilities and meeting these needs requires a budget. (3) The impact of implementing the Rules of Conduct on class III students at SDN 3 Sigar Penjalin. The existence of these school rules can have a good impact on students, teachers, and the surrounding community, such as students becoming disciplined, students not liking to miss classes, and students no longer being noisy. In class during KBM, students don't want to make mistakes again because they are afraid of the punishment given by the teacher.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan praktik tata cara wudhu dan shalat siswa di SD Palasari 3 Bandung melalui pendekatan edukasi interaktif. Mengingat pentingnya wudhu dan shalat sebagai sarana pembentukan karakter religius, kegiatan ini menggunakan berbagai metode kreatif seperti video, demonstrasi langsung, tepukan, lagu, dan permainan edukatif. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan yang melibatkan siswa kelas III dan VI sebagai subjek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode interaktif berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan siswa dalam melakukan wudhu dan shalat, serta menumbuhkan sikap disiplin, kekhusyukan, dan tanggung jawab. Selain itu, siswa menunjukkan keterlibatan yang tinggi dalam pembelajaran, terutama melalui pendekatan yang menyenangkan. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pendidikan agama yang variatif dan menarik dapat berkontribusi dalam pembentukan karakter religius siswa secara signifikan.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' understanding and practice of wudhu and prayer at SD Palasari 3 Bandung through an interactive educational approach. Considering the importance of wudhu and prayer as a means of fostering religious character, this activity employs various creative methods such as videos, live demonstrations, clapping, songs, and educational games. The study was conducted using action research methods, involving third and sixth-grade students as subjects. The results show that the interactive methods effectively enhanced students' understanding and skills in performing wudhu and prayer, as well as instilling discipline, focus, and responsibility. Moreover, the students demonstrated a high level of engagement in learning, particularly through the enjoyable approach. This research confirms that varied and engaging religious education can significantly contribute to the formation of students' religious character.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas pelatihan pendampingan dalam pengelolaan manajemen pembelajaran Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) di PAUD Imam Syafi'i, Kabupaten Lombok Utara. Fokus utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan pendidik dalam mengelola pembelajaran yang efektif dan efisien. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pengelolaan pembelajaran, yang diharapkan dapat berdampak positif terhadap perkembangan anak didik.

Abstract

Tujuan dari dilaksanakannya pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mengenai menjaga kesehatan dan mengetahui solusi apa yang harus dilakukan bila ditemukan adanya gangguan kesehatan.  Universitas Esa Unggul Program Studi Magister Akuntansi dan Program Studi Magister Administrasi Rumah Sakit bekerja sama dengan Klinik Utama Probest dan Masjid Baitul Ma’mur Grand Prima Bintara, Kota Bekasi melaksanakan medical check up dan memberikan konsultasi kesehatan bersama dokter atas hasil medical check up bagi jamaah Masjid Baitul Ma’mur Grand Prima Bintara, Kota Bekasi. Medical check-up yang dilakukan terhadap jamaah Masjid Baitul Ma'mur ini mengungkapkan adanya prevalensi masalah kesehatan yang cukup signifikan, baik pada penyakit tidak menular (PTM) seperti diabetes, hipertensi, dislipidemia, dan gangguan ginjal, maupun penyakit menular (PM) seperti kemungkinan infeksi saluran kemih dan TBC. Faktor risiko utama yang ditemukan meliputi pola hidup tidak sehat, kurangnya aktivitas fisik, serta kurangnya kesadaran untuk melakukan pemeriksaan kesehatan secara rutin. Temuan ini menunjukkan perlunya tindakan lanjutan berupa edukasi, intervensi medis, dan pembentukan program kesehatan berbasis komunitas di lingkungan masjid. Adapun bagi jamaah dengan gula darah tinggi, kolesterol tinggi, atau tanda gangguan ginjal harus dirujuk ke dokter spesialis untuk perawatan lanjutan. Jamaah dengan foto thorax menunjukkan infiltrat paru harus diperiksa lebih lanjut (uji dahak/TBC). Sedangkan pengobatan bagi jamaah yang telah menerima diagnosis spesifik harus mendapatkan pengobatan dan dipantau perkembangannya.

Abstract

The issue of early marriage is not new in Indonesia; it is a social problem that affects adolescents, with the majority of victims being young girls. In general, cases of underage marriage often occur in rural areas, and this frequently happens in families with low income, low education, and school dropouts. The world has made rapid progress in all fields, yet there are still many people who marry off their children at a young age, or more precisely, marry underage. Early marriage poses significant risks to the health of both mothers and children. The purpose of this community service is to provide education on early marriage in an effort to prevent underage marriage. The village of Sambik Bangkol in the Gangga District of North Lombok should be able to disseminate information about the impacts and issues of early marriage, as well as information to the wider community. The impact and issues of early marriage and community service are carried out through surveys, pretests, outreach with discussions and reviews, and discussions. The activity will take place in August 2024. This activity was attended by teenagers, middle school students, adults, and parents in Sambik Bangkol Village, Gangga District, North Lombok Regency.
