This study aims to study Islamic law resolving non-litigation rape cases in Beringin Makmur Dua Village, Rawas Ilir District, Musi Rawas Regency, South Sumatra Province. This research is based on the existence of rape cases resolved peacefully, even though the case should have been more appropriate if it had been resolved according to the law in force in Indonesia. This research is a field research or empirical research type. The approach method used is a qualitative approach. Data sources are primary and secondary, collected using interviews and documentation techniques. The analysis was carried out in a qualitative descriptive. This study concluded that resolving rape cases through non-litigation in Beringin Makmur Dua Village, Rawas Ilir District, was not following Islamic law. Even though Islamic law strongly recommends solving problems peacefully, not all cases, such as the hudud jarimah, can be resolved peacefully. One of the hudud jarimah is adultery or rape. According to Islamic law, the perpetrator of the rape must be subject to adultery sanctions, namely stoning or flogging. It is intended to provide a deterrent effect on perpetrators and society in general.

Settlement of criminal cases through peaceful means is highly recommended, especially in minor criminal cases. This is important so that cases do not accumulate. This method is widely applied in customary law which prioritizes restorative justice. However, not all customs that exist in society can be accepted by Islamic law. Therefore, this research conducted a study of the "tepung tawar" custom that exists in the Ibul Village community. The research uses a qualitative type with a field research model. The data processed consists of primary, secondary and tertiary data. The research was conducted in Ibul Village, Belida Darat subdistrict. The results of the research reveal that in the tepung tawar tradition there is a very high element of forgiveness. This aims to ensure that there are no grudges between the disputing parties, so that they can continue to live peacefully side by side in society. In the Ibul village community, it is customary for "tepung tawar" to be the commander-in-chief in resolving criminal cases of abuse. There are no elements that conflict with Islamic law in this customary practice, so the "tepung tawar" custom is included in the al-‘urf al-shahihah category so it can be accepted as a legal basis.

The COVID-19 pandemic poses a risk of increasing morbidity and mortality in pregnant women. Pregnant women have a higher case fatality rate and more complications than non-pregnant women due to COVID-19 infection. This study aims to look in depth at maternal deaths during the COVID-19 pandemic at the Karawang District Hospital. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. Cases were defined as the deaths of pregnant women during the COVID-19 pandemic period recorded at the Karawang District Hospital as many as 5 cases. involving 13 informants consisting of 5 case family information and eight midwife informants. Data were collected using in-depth interviews, which were carried out by applying health protocols. Data were analyzed descriptively using thematic analysis. This study resulted in four themes: case characteristics, antenatal examination, referral process, and causes of maternal mortality. The results showed that all cases had risk factors in pregnancy. Almost all cases do not undergo regular antenatal checks due to fear and posyandu services that were not available during the COVID-19 pandemic. All cases have delayed conditions in the referral process, such as early detection, decision-making, and delayed arrival at health facilities due to road access and transportation. Another thing that causes delays is waiting for the results of the rapid test to come out of the primary healthcare facility. The cause of maternal death during the COVID-19 pandemic at the Karawang District Hospital does not seem different from before the COVID-19 pandemic, which is complications in pregnancy. It is necessary to increase efforts for early detection of complications by increasing public knowledge and capacity of midwives and improving the referral flow system, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The explanation of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 21 of 2007 states that human trafficking is an extraordinary crime so that its eradication requires extraordinary efforts, one of which is through a legal breakthrough using the justice collaborator instrument. Therefore, this study will discuss the role of justice collaborators in cases of human trafficking, and will be analyzed from the perspective of Islamic criminal law. The type of research used is juridical normative and uses qualitative data with primary, secondary and tertiary data sources. In this study, the role of justice collaborator is as a criminal act, but not as the main actor who is then used or becomes a witness in an effort to uncover a human trafficking crime. In Islamic law the existence of justice collaborator is allowed because human trafficking is a serious crime. This ability is based on emergency needs. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) serve as a global framework designed to address pressing social, economic, and environmental challenges, aiming to promote sustainable development and equitable progress worldwide. Higher education plays a critical role in advancing the implementation of these sustainable development goals and exploring how strategies based on Value-Belief-Norm (VBN) theory can influence pro-environmental behaviors among students. This study also seeks to emphasize the importance of higher education in facilitating the transition of values and beliefs in younger generations toward more environmentally responsible behaviors. It aims to empower younger generations to better understand their role in environmental preservation. These strategies could provide an effective approach to empowering higher education in supporting sustainability. This study adopts a literature review method, referring to previous research and current phenomena to analyze the role of VBN theory in promoting sustainability within higher education. Findings indicate that the VBN theory can enhance sustainable behavior among students, leading to improved sustainability performance in higher education. Furthermore, this study contributes to the development of VBN theory by exploring the influence of personality traits on students’ sustainable behaviors. It also offers essential insights into how higher education institutions can develop more effective communication strategies and policies to foster a sustainable environment. These insights are expected to inform the design of strategies that not only enhance student behavior but also help higher education institutions achieve sustainability goals aligned with global SDG initiatives.
