Abstract

This correlational study aimed to find out the relationship between self-control and academic dishonesty among students in SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta Data were collected from 222 randomly selected 11th-grade students using self-control and academic dishonesty scales.   The product Moment Correlation analysis result showed a correlation coefficient of -0.188, indicating a negative correlation between self-control and academic dishonesty. In other words, students with better self-control tend not to commit academic dishonesty. This study result serves as a reference for school counselors in developing services to improve students’ self-control.

Abstract

Many countries worldwide undergo changes in various sectors due Covid-19 pandemic, including Indonesia and Malaysia. The pandemic also affects university students’ physical and psychological aspects. This comparative study attempted to find out the difference in university students’ psychological well-being during the Covid-19 pandemic. The population of this study was university students of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, Indonesia, and Universitas Pendidikan Sultan Idris, Malaysia. Six hundred-one university students were recruited using an accidental sampling technique. The data were collected using psychological well-being scale. Mann-Whitney test was performed to determine the difference in students’ psychological well-being in the two universities. The study result showed a p-value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating a difference in students’ psychological well-being at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta and Universitas Pendidikan Sultan Idris. This study result is expected to provide a depiction of students’ psychological well-being during the covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine 1) the relationship between course interest and learning motivation. 2) Differences in course interest and learning motivation in terms of gender and grade level after the Covid-19 Pandemic. The participants were 10th, 11th, and 12th-grade vocational high school students at Bandar Lampung. Data were collected using the Course Interest Scale (CIS) and Instructional Materials Motivation Survey (IMMS) developed by Keller and analyzed using product moment correlation, Mann-Whitney, and Kruskal Wallis.   While learning motivation and course interest exhibited a significant difference in terms of gender, no significant difference was noticed in terms of grade. This study found a significant relationship between course interest and learning motivation, with a value of 0.668. The results of this study can be used as a basis for developing a program in vocational high school context in Bandar Lampung.

Abstract

Developing a scale of interpersonal communication for Muslim students in Indonesia is very important because of the unique cultural and religious context that these students live in. Effective interpersonal communication is essential to fostering a supportive educational environment, improving peer relationships, and improving students' overall well-being. Currently there are no published research findings that specifically discuss measuring interpersonal communication among Muslim students in Indonesia. Therefore, this research aims to develop a valid and reliable Muslim Student Interpersonal Communication Scale (MSICS). MSICS was developed based on five aspects: openness, empathy, supportiveness, positivity, and equality. Content validity was assessed by two psychometric experts, and the results were analyzed using an inter-rater agreement model. Construct validity involved 432 Muslim junior high school students in Yogyakarta City, Indonesia, and the data was analyzed using the Rasch model. The results of the interrater agreement model analysis show that there is agreement between two psychometric experts regarding the acceptability of the statement items in the MSICS. Furthermore, the Rasch model analysis shows that the MSICS appears as a valid and reliable instrument for assessing the level of interpersonal communication among Muslim students in junior high schools in Indonesia with a variance explained by measures value of 26,7% (>20%), which means good enough to describe the measured data, and the reliability value is 0,91, which means very good. The results of this research can be used by counselors or guidance and counseling teachers to use MSICS as an instrument to measure Muslim students' interpersonal communication.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh Profitabilitas, manajemen utang dan nilai pasar terhadap harga saham pada sektor perbankan sayariah di Indonesia tahun 2018-2022. Rumusan dan tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh dari profitabilitas, manajemen utang dan nilai pasar terhadap harga saham. Penentuan sammpel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yang didasari dengan kriterian yang telah ditetapkan peneliti. Peneliti menggunakan laporan keuangan yang diterbitkan perbankan harus memenuhi kriteria penelitian sehingga menjadi sampel penelitian. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan yaitu 8 perbankan dan tahun yan diteliti 5tahun, sehingga data penelitian berjumlah 40 data ( 5 tahun X 8 perbankan). Data yang dikumpulkan dengan cara dokumentasi yang berasal dari website www.idx.co.id dan https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1-t3S3_rAGx0MjPJ-02qqSuZSEeWNycaj. Analisis data  yang yang digunakan yaitu dengan cara analisis statistik deskriptip, uji asumsi klasik, dan uji hipotesis. Hasil hipotesis penelitian yang dinyatakan dalam hasil yaitu profitabilitas dan nilai pasar tidak berpengaruh terhadap harga saham, dibuktikan dari nilai sig profitabilitas 0,111 dan manajemen utang 0,427, nilai yang dihasilkan dinyatakan tidak berpengaruh terhadap harga saham karena nila sig lebih besar dari 0,05. Nilai pasar memiliki pengaruh secara positif terhadap harga saham karena output kurang dari 0,05 yaitu 0,047. Secara simultan profitabilitas manajemen utang dan nilai pasar tidak berpengaruh terhadap harga saham. Kata Kunci: Profitabilitas, Manajemen Utang, Nilai Pasar dan Harga Saham

Abstract

High school age or adolescence is in the exploration stage where at this stage students should already focus on determining careers in a more specific range, but not a final choice. The success of education obtained by individuals is one of the keys to the success of the state. In education, various things are taught to become the provision of individuals in the future. This research is motivated by the low career choices of students while determining a career is very important for their future. The purpose of this research is to analyze the factors that influence students' career choices. This type of research is qualitative. The data in this study were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation. The type of data analysis used is descriptive and qualitative analysis. Based on the data obtained from the research subjects, it shows that there are four factors that influence students' career choices, namely, intelligence and special talents (all three students are influenced), interest in careers (all three students are influenced), personality (both students are influenced), and family background and socioeconomic status (all three students are influenced). So the conclusion is that the factors that influence students' career choices are from themselves and their families.

Abstract

Kenyamanan siswa di dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran merupakan hal yang penting. Penelitian ini berjenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi apakah rasa aman dan nyaman siswa dapat ditingkatkan melalui layanan Bimbingan Kelompok. PTK dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Siklus 1 dilaksanakan melalui 3 kegiatan, sedangkan siklus 2 dilaksanakan melalui 2 kegiatan. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa SMK Negeri 2 Magelang di kelas X Administrasi Perkantoran 3 pada semester gasal tahun pelajaran 2019/2020. Hasil PTK ini membuktikan bahwa layanan bimbingan kelompok mampu meningkatkan keamanan dan kenyamanan siswa.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of emotional intelligence, spiritual intelligence, and work attitude on employee performance. Understanding these factors is crucial for organizations aiming to enhance productivity. Emotional intelligence relates to self-awareness and emotional regulation, while spiritual intelligence emphasizes purpose and resilience. Work attitude reflects an individual’s perception of their professional responsibilities. A quantitative approach was employed using survey data from employees in a specific organizational setting. Hypothesis testing was conducted through statistical analysis, including t-tests and F-tests, to determine the significance of the relationships among variables. The findings reveal that emotional intelligence does not significantly impact employee performance, indicating that self-awareness alone does not directly enhance productivity. Conversely, spiritual intelligence has a significant positive effect, suggesting that employees with higher spiritual intelligence demonstrate greater resilience, ethical behavior, and motivation. Additionally, work attitude does not significantly influence performance, implying that external factors may have a more substantial role. This study contributes to the literature by emphasizing the importance of spiritual intelligence in improving employee performance. It provides practical insights for organizations to develop programs that foster spiritual intelligence and ethical leadership. Future research should consider additional moderating variables and longitudinal studies to deepen understanding of these relationships.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka dengan menganalisis 15 artikel yang telah dipublikasikan sebelumnya. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi tujuan serta teknik pengukuran kinerja keuangan dalam menilai kesehatan finansial perusahaan. Pengukuran kinerja keuangan memiliki peran penting dalam menilai profitabilitas, likuiditas, solvabilitas, efisiensi penggunaan sumber daya, serta transparansi bagi pemangku kepentingan. Teknik yang digunakan meliputi analisis rasio keuangan, laporan keuangan, analisis varians, analisis tren, Return on Investment (ROI), Economic Value Added (EVA), dan budgeting. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berbagai teknik pengukuran tersebut membantu manajemen dalam pengambilan keputusan strategis serta meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi pengelolaan keuangan perusahaan. Abstract

Inclusive schools have an important role in creating a friendly educational environment for all students, including those with special needs. One important aspect in creating an inclusive school is increasing empathy of regular students towards their friends with special needs. This study aims to develop and test the feasibility and practicality of the classical guidance model with problem-based learning techniques to increase regular students' empathy towards children with special needs in guidance and counseling services at 10 Inclusive State Junior High Schools in Yogyakarta. This research is research and development with the Borg & Gall model with 7 stages: (1) initial research and information gathering; (2) planning and design; (3) initial product development; (4) initial field testing; (5) initial product revision; (6) main field testing; (7) operational product revision. The research subjects involved one material expert, one model expert, one instrument expert, 10 Guidance and Counseling teachers, and 100 students. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, questionnaires, and empathy scales. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the classical guidance model produces very feasible products by model experts with a score of 92% and material experts with a score of 93%; (2) the classical guidance model produces practical products by Guidance and Counseling teachers with a score of 88%. The product scores that have been given by experts can be applied in schools and influence regular students to increase empathy. This research still needs further development by developing science, can be applied in various other schools and further strengthen the implementation of inclusive education in Indonesia.
