Abstract

LangSpeed Motor Garage faces operational challenges, including data inaccuracies and slow manual processes in service and spare parts inventory management, which affect efficiency. This research aims to design, build, and test an integrated web-based management information system to address these problems. The development method used is the Waterfall model, which includes the stages of requirements analysis, system design using UML, code implementation, and system testing. This system was built as a single-page application (SPA) with a modern technology stack, namely ReactJS on the front-end, the serverless Convex backend platform for a real-time database, and Tailwind CSS for interface design. The result of this research is a functional web application that features service management, inventory, and user authentication modules. Based on testing using the Black Box Testing method, all functionality test scenarios were successful with a "Passed" status, which validates that the system runs according to the requirements specifications. The developed information system has proven to be an effective solution for improving operational efficiency and data accuracy at LangSpeed Motor Garage.

Abstract

Advancements in information and communication technology have created new opportunities for developing accessible and adaptive learning systems. One promising approach is the use of audio-based learning applications, which substitute visual information with structured auditory instructions. This research aims to develop adaptive interactive features in the ‘Listen to Me” application to enhance the independent learning skills of visually impaired children. The features are designed with three main characteristics: automatic adaptation of material difficulty levels; an audio-based interface that delivers clear instructions and feedback; and dynamic responses that adjust to users’ interaction patterns. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach with a waterfall model, executed through the stages of needs analysis, design, implementation, testing, and evaluation. Expert evaluations of the developed features indicated a very high level of feasibility. Furthermore, the results of limited trials involving the target users (visually impaired children) demonstrated the features’ effectiveness in improving content comprehension, facilitating navigation, and fostering motivation for independent learning. The findings conclude that the adaptive interactive features within the Listen to Me application are feasible, effective, and accessible as a self-learning medium, offering strong potential to support the expansion of inclusive education for visually impaired children.

Abstract

Understanding gender aspects in the management of small-scale agroforestry is important to creating an inclusive and sustainable model in subsistence agriculture. This research aimed to analyze the actualization of the gender dimension in productive, reproductive, and social-political activities in small-scale agroforestry management among subsistence farmer groups in Lamala Sub-District, Banggai Regency, Indonesia. The study employed a mixed-methods case study approach using the Harvard Analytical Framework (HAF) to analyze the gender-based division of labor, integrating observations, interviews with 5 key informants, and a questionnaire administered to 50 respondents. The data collected were then analyzed thematically and descriptively. The results showed a gender imbalance in the management of small-scale agroforestry. HAF mapping indicated that women were involved in only 52.63% of the identified productive activities, whereas men were involved in all productive activities. In contrast, women carried out all identified reproductive activities, while men were involved in only 33.33% of them and only occasionally. In socio-political activities, women were involved in 66.67% of the identified activities, again only occasionally, whereas men were involved in all activities and dominated 66.67% of them. These findings suggest that small-scale agroforestry is not gender-neutral, as its productive, reproductive, and socio-political activities are structured through unequal gender relations. This research recommends education for small-scale farmers on gender and productivity, helping the community understand gender equality in efforts to improve access, productivity, and outcomes through equitable, egalitarian role distribution. Abstract

Abstract

The development of tourist areas is commonly targeted as a backbone sector to support economic growth, increase regional income, empower the economy of the community, expand employment, and improve the overview and marketing of local products of tourist destinations to improve local community welfare. This development requires holistic and comprehensive planning in order to optimize the benefits for the local community and contribute to the regional income of a region. Ngebel Lake, one of the tourist attractions in East Java, has a considerable potential to be developed into a leading lake tourist destination. Located in Ponorogo Regency, this place is prospective for its pristine natural beauty and other favorable elements such as culture, community lifestyle, and the potential as a tourist attraction. The half kilometer-wide lake was naturally formed and is surrounded by a five-kilometer road. This study aimed at analyzing the satisfaction of Telaga Ngebel visitors as an effort to identify satisfaction attribute on service quality using Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). This approach was aimed to provide recommendations in evaluating visitors’ satisfaction. The research was not merely targeted to identify whether visitors’ expectations were already accomplished, but it was aimed to identify the functional and dysfunctional attributes of service. The results have shown that the attributes requiring improvements include the availability of adequate parking lots, the quality of roads around the tourist area, and the willingness of the staff to prioritize and recognize the needs of visitors. This research is the first step in setting recommendations for strategies that can become local government priorities in the development of the Ngebel Lake tourist area. Keywords: Visitors’ satisfaction, Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA)
