Abstract

Indonesia has enormous potential for zakat and waqf, but Bank XYZ has not maximized the collection through the sharia business unit (UUS). Therefore, it is necessary to reformulate the strategy and business model of developing ZISWAF Bank XYZ in order to obtain optimal results. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with a case study at Bank XYZ. The research was conducted from February 2021 to October 2021. The response survey was determined based on purposive sampling consisting of internal practitioners, academics, BWI, BAZNAS, and ziswaf institutions affiliated with Islamic banks. The data collection technique was based on observation, in-depth interviews, and questionnaires to respondents. Data analysis used IPA, BMC, SWOT, and QSPM approaches. Based on IPA analysis, this study recommends that three selected elements be developed: value proposition, channel, and critical resource. Technology adjustment and strengthening of bank image as ZISWAF recipients, improving bank channels through optimizing office networks and utilizing social media marketing and customer databases, as well as improving SOPs to improve the business model of Bank XYZ in the future.

Abstract

This design study explores non-discrete architecture as a form of architecture that connects nature and the built environment. Architecture often separates itself and its users from the natural setting, leading to environmental neglect and the gradual loss ofthe natural environment. The idea of non-discrete architecture focuses on how the relationship between humans and nature can be reconstructed by creating spatial layers that can actively participate in living processes. This study focuses on the neglected wetland environment in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan. The inquiry begins by documenting the various experiences of nature in the area, from the abundance presence of wilderness and the dynamic water reflections of the wetlands. The study explores how such experience is captured through spatial boundaries such as roof structures and floor gaps. This study develops a form of low-tech pavilion that reconsiders the boundaries and how it is situated amidst the wetland landscapes. The project aims to bring a connection between the inside and the outside and captures the landscape dynamics, creating an animated interior of the space. In doing so, it fosters awareness of environmental beauty and renews appreciation for the wetland architecture that has been neglected.

Abstract

Drug abuse among minors is a serious problem with broad impacts on the health, social well-being, and future of the younger generation. This program aims to raise public awareness about the importance of rehabilitation for juvenile drug users outside the courts, particularly in Pari Village, Pantai Cermin District, Serdang Bedagai Regency. Through outreach, counseling, and education activities, the community is provided with an understanding of the mechanisms of medical and social rehabilitation as mandated by Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics and Law Number 11 of 2012 concerning the Juvenile Criminal Justice System. This program also encourages the implementation of the principle of diversion so that child drug abusers are not treated as perpetrators of crimes, but rather as victims in need of recovery. The results of the activities indicate an increase in the understanding of the community and village officials regarding the importance of rehabilitation and support for the "Shining Village" (Drug-Free) program. Thus, this activity is expected to strengthen efforts to prevent, recover, and protect children from the impacts of drug abuse and build a healthy and drug-free social environment

Abstract

Land acquisition for the public interest in Indonesia frequently encounters complex bureaucracy, inefficiencies, and community resistance, which impede the implementation of National Strategic Projects (NSPs). This study examines policy innovation in land acquisition through multi-stakeholder collaboration in South Sulawesi Province, where Makassar is the provincial capital and the economic hub of eastern Indonesia. The analysis also highlights urban expansion into Gowa Regency, which heightens both the urgency and the complexity of land provision for infrastructure projects. Using a qualitative case-study design, data were gathered through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentary analysis. The findings indicate that collaborative approaches expedite land acquisition, improve transparency, and reduce the risk of social conflict. Models that involve central and local government, private-sector actors, community representatives, and facilitation forums have proved effective in strengthening legitimacy and trust. Strategic recommendations include institutionalising facilitation forums, advancing digital transformation in land-acquisition governance, and reformulating compensation schemes to ensure equity and accountability. By embedding collaboration, transparency, and fairness, the study contributes to more inclusive and responsive public policy while supporting the sustainability of NSPs. It also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—notably Goal 9 on resilient infrastructure, Goal 11 on sustainable cities and communities, and Goal 16 on strong institutions—offering practical pathways for inclusive and sustainable development.
