Abstract

Recently the demands of additional building functions have varied. These demands tend to affect structure stability because of the effects of additional mass. For example, Harvard Dormitory Thursina International Islamic Boarding School, located in Dau region, Malang city, East Java, Indonesia, a 11 x 8 m2 swimming pool is relocated on 4th floor. A big mass of pool certainly performs bigger lateral force due to seismic behaviour of structure itself. To reduce that, the IIS method is installed on the 3rd floor as it has damper effect along X and Y axis that is provided by LRB spring systems. IIS is widely used mainly in Japanese high-rise structures such as Shiodome Sumitomo building and Umeda Tower. To analyse the IIS modified structure, it is performed pushover analysis as controlled deformation is stated 18 in at rooftop. The results showed that 465 kN shear force and 160 mm story drift occurred on the 3rd floor which is the largest value compared to other stories. It is also obtained 230 mm lateral deflection of rooftop as the first plastic hinges are formed.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how to develop the tourism potential of the old town in Padang City. The development of this tourism potential is also expected to be able to improve the regional economy and society. The theory of elements of this development uses the theory by Cooper with 4A namely Attraction, Amenity, Accessibility, and Ancillary. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method using data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation while the informant selection technique uses a purposive sampling technique. Then in testing the validity of the data researchers used source triangulation. Based on the methods and research conducted, it was found that the development of the Kota Tua tourism potential in Padang City was not optimal. This is obtained from the results of the variables carried out during the study.

Abstract

Floods are the most common type of disaster in the world. Flood disaster preparedness in the community still rarely gets attention. While children are one of the groups at risk in disasters, they can also take an active part in disaster management, provided that the opportunity is given. Disaster education is an important aspect of disaster management, and it involves children who are expected to help create better disaster resilience, flood awareness, and preparedness. This community service uses a method by implementing a disaster education program for children using an interactive lecture method with an audio-visual approach. Community service was carried out on October 14, 2024, with the children of SDN 7 Pelambuan Banjarmasin as the target of the activity. Evaluation was carried out by giving participants questionnaires at the beginning (pre) and end (post). The results of the activity showed an increase in knowledge of flood disasters after being given education, with a P-value of 0.000 in the Paired Sample Test.

Abstract

Training on the use of dried and dead Purun plants as compost fertilizer raw material was carried out by PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda. The participants of the conducted training were from small enterprises in Gampong Blang Me, UMKM Beujroh. The practice was aimed to improve the community’s knowledge, awareness and action changes towards dead and dried Purun plants. The training was implemented by showing and involving the participants in composting dried Purun plants. After the activity, it was found out that development in knowledge, awareness and action of participants. Training participants’ knowledge of composting dried Purun plant with one hundred percent rise. Moreover, their awareness of negative potential from dried Purun plant also increase by ninety percent. Lastly, the community commitment to implement the procedure was also raised from zero to ninety percent of the participants involved. Besides, the training affected the community positively by utilizing dead dried Purun plant into compost with other affirmative aspects such as women empowerment and potential income generation.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of career prospects, social environment, and family environment on students' decisions to choose the Sharia Accounting Study Program in the Riau Islands. Data were obtained from 122 respondents and analyzed using PLS-SEM. The results indicate that career prospects and social environment have a significant positive effect, while family environment has no significant effect. These findings emphasize the importance of career prospects and social support in student decisions.

Abstract

Background: Hallucinations are perceptual disturbances experienced by individuals, in which a person may hear, see, smell, or feel something that does not actually exist. This disorder carries the risk of causing behavior that is harmful to oneself and others. Purpose: This study aims to determine the difference in effectiveness between murotal therapy and classical music therapy on the recurrence of hallucinations in patients. Methods: This study used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. A total of 30 patients diagnosed with hallucinations at the Aulia Rahma Clinic in Bandar Lampung were selected as respondents and divided into two intervention groups: the murotal therapy group and the classical music therapy group. Murotal therapy was conducted by playing Surah Ar-Rahman, while classical music therapy was provided through instrumental music. Findings: The results showed that the murotal therapy group experienced a 1.80-point decrease in hallucination recurrence scores, which was higher than the classical music therapy group. Data analysis using statistical tests showed a value of ρ = 0.032 (p < 0.05), which means that there was a significant difference between the two therapies in terms of reducing hallucination recurrence. Conclusion: Murotal therapy is more effective than classical music therapy in reducing the recurrence of hallucinations in patients with mental disorders. Murotal therapy can be used as an alternative non-pharmacological nursing intervention that is easy, inexpensive, and safe to apply in mental health nursing practice.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas bahwa masyarakat masih mengunakan cara konservatif yakni melalui kesepakatan wakaf secara tidak tertulis atau lisan dengan saling percaya sebagai bentuk hukum kebiasaan masyarakat, tetapi proses pengurusan sertifikat tanah wakaf tidak diuruskan balik nama oleh pengurus masjid dibiarkan bertahun-tahun. Alasan pengurus masjid tidak ada biaya dan proses administrasi yang berbelit-belit serta memakan waktu lama. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui: (1) Bagaimana problematika hukum terkait dengan legalitas masjid yang belum memiliki sertifikat tanah wakaf di Kecamatan Pontianak Selatan, (2)Apa upaya yang dilakukan oleh pengurus masjid untuk memperkuat alas hak masjid yang belum memiliki sertifikat tanah wakaf di Kecamatan Pontianak Selatan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah empiris kualitatif, sumber data yaitu ketua dan pengurus masjid yang belum memiliki sertifikat tanah wakaf, serta buku-buku dan catatan-catatan ataupun dokumen apasaja yang berkaitan dengan penelitian ini. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah hukum empiris, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan: reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan (Verifikasi). Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini bahwa: Pertama Minimnya pemahaman masyarakat mengenai pentingnya sertifikat dengan alasan bahwa si wakif sudah mewakafkan tanahnya dan tidak mau repot-repot mendaftarkan tanahnya ke BPN, masyarakat merasa puas setelah pewakif mengikrarkan tanah wakaf kepada nadzir dan saksi-saksi wakaf kurangnya pemahaman pengurus masjid mengenai regulasi perwakafan.

Abstract

Concrete is part of a construction formed by a mixture of cement, water, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate either crushed stone or gravel and other mixed materials. Fiber concrete is concrete whose method of manufacture is added with fiber, both man-made fiber and natural fiber such as palm fruit bunches. The addition of palm fruit bunches to the concrete mix is ​​expected to increase the compressive strength of concrete. The percentage of addition of palm marks is 6%, 8% and 11% by weight of cement with FAS 0.35. The test object used was a cube (15 x 15 x 15) cm with a total of 12 test objects for 7 days of age and 12 test objects for 28 days of age. The results of the 7-day average compressive strength test for BTTS were 310.76 kg/cm2, BDTS (6%) were 260.23 kg/cm2, BDTS (8%) were 237.83 kg/cm2 and BDTS (11%) were 244.67 kg/cm2. cm2. Testing the compressive strength at an average age of 28 days obtained results for BTTS of 342.20 kg/cm2, BDTS (6%) of 294/18 kg/cm2, BDTS (8%) of 269.42 kg/cm2 and BDTS (11%) of 279.72 kg/cm2. From the results of the compressive strength test, the average test age of 7 days and 28 days shows that the addition of palm fiber can reduce the compressive strength of concrete in all variations, namely 6%, 8% and 11%.

Abstract

Tonsilitis merupakan salah satu manifestasi paling sering dari infeksi saluran nafas atas. Pada pasien dengan tonsilitis kronis terdapat kecenderungan peningkatan titer Anti Streptolisin O, sebuah antibodi terhadap antigen Streptolisin O yang dihasilkan oleh bakteri Streptokokus β Hemolitikus grup A. Bakteri yang juga diketahui menjadi agen penyebab pada penyakit jantung infeksi. Tujuan: Mengetahui dan menginterpretasikan nilai ASTO pasien tonsilitis pre dan paska tonsiloadenoidektomi dengan riwayat endokarditis infeksi Laporan Kasus: Seorang anak perempuan 15 tahun dilaporkan dengan tonsilitis kronis dan post infective endocarditis definite. Pada pasien dilakukan pengukuran titer ASTO sebelum dan sesudah tindakan tonsiloadenoidektomi. Setelah dilakukan tonsiloadenoidektomi didapatkan bahwa titer ASTO menjadi negatif. Kesimpulan: Tonsiloadenoidektomi pada pasien dengan tonsilitis kronis dapat menurunkan kadar ASTO dan reaktivasinya sehingga dapat menghindari resiko terjadinya komplikasi yang berhubungan dengan Streptokokus β Hemolitikus grup A
