Abstract

This research aims to (1) To find out the language used by Gen Z before and after using Tiktok. (2) To determine the positive and negative impacts of the TikTok algorithm in shaping the language skills of Gen Z. The research method used is a qualitative method, collecting data using indirect interviews via Google Form which are distributed to informants who are active TikTok users. Carried out from October to November. The collected data was then analyzed descriptively. The results of this research show that (1) The language used by Gen Z before using TikTok tends to be informal, everyday and does not use a lot of slang or slang originating from TikTok. (Dewi, 2024) After using the TikTok application, the language used by Gen Z is also I still tend to be informal on a daily basis, but I use a lot of slang or slang that comes from Tiktok (2) Positive impact The TikTok algorithm in shaping Gen Z's language skills is increasing language creativity and the ability to adapt to various communication styles. Meanwhile, the negative impact is a decrease in Gen Z's use of standard language and an increase in the use of informal words, which can affect language skills in formal contexts.

Abstract

Introduction: Sweet corn (Zea mays saccharata Sturt) is one of the horticultural crops that is in great demand in Indonesia because of its distinctive sweet taste and relatively short production time. To improve the quality and quantity of hybrid sweet corn seed production, it is necessary to apply appropriate agronomic techniques, such as detasseling (removal of male flowers) and defoliation (pruning leaves). This study aims to determine the interaction between detasseling time and the number of leaves pruned on the production parameters of hybrid sweet corn. Methods: The study was conducted in Wringintelu Village, Puger, Jember, from August to December 2022, using a factorial randomized block design (RBD) with three replications. The treatments consisted of three detasseling times (48 DAP, 50 DAP, and 52 DAP) and three levels of defoliation (no defoliation, 2 leaves, and 4 leaves). Data were analyzed using ANOVA and continued with a 5% DMRT test if there was a significant effect. Results: The results showed that the interaction of detasseling time of 48 HST with 4-leaf defoliation gave the best results on the parameters of cob weight (78.55 g) and cob length (14.97 cm). Individually, the treatment of detasseling time of 48 HST produced the highest seed production per hectare of 18.44 tons, while 4-leaf defoliation produced a production of 18.17 tons per hectare. Conclusion: In conclusion, the combination of detasseling time of 48 HST and 4-leaf defoliation is the best treatment to increase the production of hybrid sweet corn seeds, so it can be a recommendation for agronomic practices to increase sweet corn productivity in Indonesia.

Abstract

Background: Sectio caesarean (SC) is increasingly common, with significant challenges for breastfeeding due to factors like postoperative pain and mobility limitations. Proper breast care can support milk production, yet many mothers lack adequate knowledge about its importance and techniques. Understanding the relationship between breast care knowledge and breastfeeding outcomes in post-SC mothers is critical to improving maternal and child health. Objective: This study aimed to examine the relationship between breast care knowledge and smooth breast milk production among post-SC mothers. Method: A cross-sectional study was conducted among 30 post-SC mothers at Ibunda Mother and Child Hospitals, Tanah Laut, from September to November 2023. Participants were selected through accidental sampling. Data on breast care knowledge and milk production were collected using validated instruments and analyzed using chi-square tests. Results: Most respondents had sufficient breast care knowledge (73%), and 90% reported smooth breast milk production. However, no significant association was found between breast care knowledge and milk production (p = 0.78). This indicates that while knowledge is vital, other factors such as psychological and physiological conditions also play a role. Conclusion: Although most participants demonstrated good knowledge and milk production, this study highlights that breastfeeding success is multifactorial, requiring holistic approaches that address physical, psychological, and social dimensions. Integrating education with practical support could enhance breastfeeding outcomes.

Abstract

Abstract

Video animation plays an important role in learning mathematics because it can present abstract concepts visually and interactively. In addition, the delivery of interesting material through animation can increase students' understanding and interest in learning. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the extent of students' needs in learning mathematics using discovery learning-based animated videos in junior high school. This research uses a quantitative method with a survey approach, where data is obtained through a questionnaire designed to collect information about students' needs for animated video-based learning media. Respondents in this study were thirty students from one of the junior high schools in Indonesia. Respondents were selected using purposive sampling technique. In the process of data analysis, this research utilizes Microsoft Excel to organize, process, and present data in the form of tabulations, tables, and diagrams. The analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative which includes the calculation of mean (average), median, and percentage. This statistical calculation is done to see the tendency of students' answers to the questions given in the questionnaire, so that an overview can be obtained about the extent of their needs for the use of Discovery Learning-based animated videos in learning mathematics. The findings are expected to be the basis for developing more effective and interesting animated video-based learning media. In addition, this research can also provide insight for educators in designing learning strategies that suit the needs of students, so as to improve students' understanding and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study reveals how consumer and environmental trends are affecting Indonesia's tumbler market, emphasizing the eco-conscious habits of Generation Z. Environmental issues including pollution, deforestation, and climate change have made sustainable materials and methods even more important. As much as 105 Gen Z taken a role as a respondent in this study, by filled out a set of a questionnaire. As a result of product improvements that meet Gen Z's need for sustainability, the Indonesian tumbler industry has grown quite significantly. The study used a quantitative technique to examine how the marketing mix—which includes product, price, site, and promotion—affects the Generation Z’s purchasing decisions of, who were primarily university students in various provinces in Indonesia. The results show that while price and location have less impact on purchasing decisions, product characteristics and advertising tactics do. Regression analysis supports the model's prediction power, while validity and reliability tests validate the power of measuring instruments. This study sheds light on how important strategic marketing is to attract eco-conscious customers and offers guidance to companies adjusting to Indonesia's growing green consumer culture.
