Abstract

Companies must innovate and improve employee performance in today’s competitive business climate to maintain their market share. Urban Republic, a company headquartered in Palembang and part of the Erajaya Group, is the subject of this study, which examines the relationship between employee participation and HR competency and performance. Improving employee performance requires HR competency, including technical and non-technical skills, and employee commitment, characterized by loyalty and dedication. For Urban Republic to remain competitive, they must understand how these elements affect performance. This study aimed to assess the impact of employee commitment and HR competency on performance. Three sections of labor area heads, store leaders, and staff were given surveys as part of the quantitative approach. Multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the data, supported by validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests. The results showed that employee dedication showed almost significant significance, indicating a possible influence, while employee competence had a statistically significant impact on employee performance. Dedication and HR competency significantly impact performance when the two work together. This analysis emphasizes the importance of continuous HR development investment and the potential benefits of employee commitment. To reduce the risk of employee turnover, it is recommended that HR training programs be improved, employee recognition programs be strengthened, commitment issues be addressed, and staff well-being be monitored to avoid burnout. It is recommended that more research be conducted to examine the intricacies of employee dedication and how it impacts work outcomes. The study concluded that a balanced focus on HR competency and employee commitment is essential to optimize employee performance at Urban Republic

Abstract

The objectives of the research were (1) To find out the students’ reading comprehension of report text achievement before using porpe method. (2) To find out the students’ reading comprehension of report text achievement before using porpe method. (3) To find out the significant differences in the students’ reading comprehension of report text achievement before and after using porpe method. The research was quantitative research and used an experimental design. The type of experimental design was used pre-experimental with one group pre-test post-test design and non-probability as the sampling technique that was conducted in SMA Negeri 3 Nganjuk in the academic year of 2021/2022. The population was used whole class of the tenth grade with the total 359 students and X-5 as the sample that consisting of 35 students. The collecting data used documentation and reading comprehension of report text test were analyzed using Paired T-Test with SPSS 18 for windows and N-Gain using Microsoft Excel. The results showed the value of significance (2-tailed) was 0.000 less than the significance standard (0.05) means there were significant differences before and after using porpe method. From the results of N-Gain, it showed an improvement in the students' achievement from 35 students, 21 (60%) students had improvements in the medium category and 14 (40%) students had improvements in the low category. Based on the before and after test results above, it can be concluded that the porpe method was effective for reading comprehension of report text.

Abstract

Sejak munculnya penyebaran covid-19 di kota Wuhan China akhir tahun lalu, menyebabkan coronavirus telah menyebar ke-200 negara yang ada didunia. Tidak dipungkiri bahwa indonesia pun turut menerima dampak dari persebaran covid-19, telah terkonfirmasi data yang telah dikelurakan oleh Gugus Tugas Percepatan Penanganan Covid-19 bahwa jumlah kasus Covid-19 di Indonesia terus mengalami peningkatan. Tercatat pada Minggu 16 Agustus 2020 jumlah kasus positif di Indonesia mencapai 139.549 jiwa, yang telah tersebar di 250 kabupaten/kota yang ada di 34 provinsi di Indonesia. Dengan sebaran luas yang menginfeksi hampir seluruh wilayah di dunia, virus ini menyebabkan semua Negara memproyeksikan terjadinya penurunan pertumbuhan ekonomi. Indonesia memproyeksi pertumbuhan ekonomi akan mengalami penurunan sebesar 2,3% dari prediksi awal sebesar 5,04% . Hal tersebut pun turut dirasakan oleh masyarakat dimana sebagian besar pekerjaan masyarakat Tajur merupakan buruh, yang akan berdampak pada perekonimian masyarakat Tajur karena menurunnya penghasilan yang cukup signifikan akibat pandemi covid-19. Salah satu strategi yang dapat dilakukan untuk tetap menjaga kestabilan perekonomian masyarakat yaitu dengan cara berwirausaha. Maka dilakukan wawancara kepada narasumber yaitu 2 pengusaha muda yang tetap menjalankan usahanya di tengah pandemi seperti. Video podcast “Semangat Berwirausaha Ditengah Pandemi Covid-19” yang disebarluaskan kepada masyarakat Tajur menghasilkan presentase kuisioner yaitu sebesar 67,0% masyarakat tajur termotivasi untuk berwirausaha setelah menonton video podcast tersbut, 26,9% cukup tertarik melakukan kegiatan berwirausaha di tengah pandemi covid-19, dan 6,00% respon terkait kurang nya minat masyarakat tajur dalam berwirausaha. Hal ini menunjukan adanya respon yang cukup baik dari masyarakat Tajur terkait video podcast. Sehingga penyebarluasan video mengenai strategi berwirausahan dengan asas-asas kewirausahaan yang disampaikan video podcast tersebut cukup efektif untukmenumbuhkan sikap semangat mereka dalam berwirausaha di tengah pandemic covid-19.

Abstract

Free sex refers to a sexually intimate relationship between a man and a woman outside the context of marriage. In certain groups, engaging in free sex has become a common trend. Factors contributing to promiscuity among some student groups are diverse, and one of these factors is the knowledge and attitudes held by adolescents. The study aimed to describe the knowledge and attitudes of adolescents in Western Indonesia toward preventing free-sex behaviors. This study employed a descriptive quantitative research method, focusing on a sample of 96 randomly chosen adolescents aged 18-21 living in Western Indonesia. A questionnaire was used to assess adolescents' knowledge and attitudes toward preventing free sex. Univariate data analysis techniques were used in this study and showed that 89 respondents (92.7%) had good knowledge about the behavior of preventing free sex and more than half of the respondents had a negative attitude about the behavior of preventing free sex, namely as many as 49 respondents (51.0%). Nursing institutions can collaborate with schools and parents to provide trustworthy health education. Further research can be conducted to investigate adolescents' perceptions of free-sex activity to develop effective strategies for preventing such behavior.BAHASA INDONESIA Seks bebas merupakan hubungan yang dilakukan oleh laki-laki dan perempuan tanpa ikatan perkawinan. Seks bebas atau kini telah menjadi tren dalam beberapa kelompok.Pergaulan bebas di beberapa kelompok pelajar disebabkan oleh berbagai faktor salah satunya yaitu pengetahuan dan sikap remaja. Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan dan sikap remaja mengenai perilaku pencegahan seks bebas di Indonesia Bagian Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif jenis deskriptif dengan populasi penelitian yaitu remaja dengan rentang usia 18-21 tahun yang berdomisili di daerah Indonesia Bagian Barat. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah sampel acak, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 96 responden.Penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner untuk mengetahui gambaran variabel pengetahuan remaja dan sikap remaja mengenai perilaku pencegahan seks bebas. Teknik analisis data univariat digunakan dalam penelitian ini dan menunjukkansebanyak 89 responden (92,7%) memilikipengetahuan baik mengenai perilaku pencegahan seks bebas dan lebih dari setengah responden memiliki sikap negatif mengenai perilaku pencegahan seks bebas yaitu sebanyak 49 responden (51,0%). Institusi keperawatan dapat bekerja sama dengan pihak sekolah dan orang tua untuk memberikan pendidikan kesehatan yang reliabel. Penelitian lebih lanjut dapat dilakukan untuk mengeksplorasi persepsi remaja mengenai seks bebas untuk dapat memberikan intervensi dan pendekatan yang tepat mengenai pencegahan perilaku seks bebas.

Abstract

Self-control is the ability to rule out or change responses in a person, as well as eliminate unwanted problems and refrain from doing anything necessary for adolescent in using smartphones. Self-control of adolescent in using smartphones in this study is viewed from aspects of self-discipline, deliberate / non-impulsive, healthy habits, work ethic and reliability. This study aims to describe self-control of adolescents in using smartphone. This research is a descriptive analytic study, with a sample of 246 adolescents at SMAN 2 Padang obtained using propotional stratified random sampling technique. The study used a questionnaire instrument complied using a likert scale mode. The results of this study indicate that self-control of adolescent in using smartphones is generally appropriate in the high category. This needs to be corrected and improved in order to avoid the negative effects of using a smartphone.

Abstract

The research aimed at finding out the English competence needed by nursing department students during the course of their studies as well as in preparing themselves for their future work as nurses at the international level. The competence needed by the students and nurses-to-be was then used as the basis for designing the English material to be proposed to and adopted by the curriculum at Baiturrahim Vocational high School Jambi. This research took place at the Baiturrahim Vocational high School Jambi. The research was descriptive qualitative in nature. This study used interviews and observations to collect the data to answer the research questions. The source of data was sixteen nursing students, one teacher and the headmaster. The results of the data analysis indicated that there were ten main competencies to acquire by nursing students to function properly in the nursing profession. The competencies included giving explanation of the escort of basic treatment, giving the health counseling, giving the explanation of the escort of pathology and its treatment, translating the data collection, medical record and report data, executing the basic treatment, using communication skills in a healthcare, approaching to the patient, listening, questioning and diagnosing, giving explanation and advice, and communicating in term of involving patient in management. The ten basic competencies were then used as the bases in designing the syllabus for the Nursing Department students. The type of syllabus chosen was competence-based one. The syllabus stated the competency standards, basic competencies along with their indicators, list of teaching materials, suggested learning experience, time allotment, list of resources and media, and assessment

Abstract

Organic waste can decompose naturally, but organic waste also has the potential to damage the environment. Piles of organic waste that do not receive oxygen can produce dangerous methane gas. Piles of organic waste are a habitat for animals such as mice, flies, cockroaches, and mosquitoes. These animals carry infectious diseases through various bacteria and viruses. One way to reduce waste reaching final disposal sites is to process organic waste at the household level so that it has economic benefits and added value. The solution offered in this Community Service (PKM) is to process fresh organic waste, namely fresh vegetable waste and fresh fruit peels, and utilize the enzyme content of these organic materials through anaerobic fermentation, which produces coenzymes. The eco-enzyme produced is processed into a solid eco-enzyme soap derivative product. Apart from being used for household purposes, it can also be sold, increasing family income. Community service is carried out in collaboration with the Ikhlas Mandiri Charitable Foundation. The PKM was carried out in Pagerageung village, Tasikmalaya Regency. The results of the PkM showed that the participants felt capable of making eco-enzyme soap and were interested in making it in the future. Factors that support the sustainability of PKM activities are the availability of organic waste (fresh fruit and vegetable peels), coconut oil as a raw material for soap, and the support of the Yayasan Amal Ikhlas Mandiri.

Abstract

Women's representation in Indonesian politics is part of the journey of democracy and the protection of minority interests. The KPU, as the institution responsible for organizing elections, some time ago the KPU issued a new regulation on women's representation contained in PKPU No. 10 of 2023 concerning Women's Representation, which regulates the mechanism for rounding fractional numbers so that it can reduce women's representation if the calculation results are less than 50%. This is contrary to the Election Law, which requires at least 30% female representation. This KPU regulation creates uncertainty and the potential for a reduction in the number of women, which can be detrimental to women's rights. This study analyzes the position of PKPU No. 10 of 2023 concerning Law No. 7 of 2017 and the perspective of siyasah dusturiyah; Regulations made by the authorized institutions emphasize that lower regulations must be subject to higher regulations and must prioritize the interests of the people. This article is based on articles and regulations governing women's representation. This research is qualitative research with a normative juridical approach, to facilitate data search as literature research through laws, journals, legal dictionaries, and others. As a result of this study, it can be concluded that PKPU No. 10 of 2023 is contrary to Law No. 7 of 2017 and should be revoked to ensure that women's rights are fulfilled under the principles of justice and equality in politics.

Abstract

Bell’s Palsy merupakan kondisi neurologis yang mempengaruhi fungsi motorik wajah, terdiri dari central facial palsy dan peripheral facial palsy. Central facial palsy terjadi akibat kerusakan segmen sentral saraf yaitu lesi pada upper motor neuron (UMN) sedangkan peripheral facial palsy terjadi akibat kerusakan perifer saraf yaitu lesi pada lower motor neuron (LMN). Pada paralisis atau kelumpuhan wajah nervus fasialis (N.VII atau N.facialis) dapat dibedakan menjadi 2 jenis yaitu central palsy dan peripheral facial palsy. Tujuan penelitian; untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan fisioterapi dalam meningkatkan kekuatan otot dan mempercepat pemulihan fungsi facial pada kasus bell’s palsy dextra dengan pemberian massage, neuromuscular taping dan mirror exercise. Instrumen Penelitian; pengukuran kekuatan otot wajah dan fungsional pada bell palsy yaitu menggunakan pengukuran Ugo fisch scale. Metode Penelitian; penelitian ini bersifat studi kasus, mengangkat kasus pasien dan mengumpulkan data melalui proses fisioterapi, penelitian ini dilakukan di RSI Ibnu Sina Pekanbaru. Hasil penelitian: Setelah dilakukan fisioterapi sebanyak enam kali selama 2 minggu didapatkan hasil adanya pengurangan dari derajat V menjadi derajat IV. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian massage, neuromuscular taping dan mirror exercise dapat meningkatkan kemampuan fungsional otot-otot wajah pada kasus bell’s palsy dextra.

Abstract

Scoliosis is a posture disorder caused by changes in the shape and function of the muscles and bones in the vertebrae. Postural changes are seen in the frontal plane, namely the presence of a lateral curve associated with sagittal and transverse rotation. The Schroth method is a form of physiotherapy for scoliosis, which is a conservative treatment, which is based on the principles of specific postural correction, correction of breathing pattern and correction of postural perception. The aim of the Schroth method is to correct the spine in the sagittal, frontal and transverse planes. The aim of this community service education is to increase the knowledge of Nurul Ilmi Middle School students about the correct sitting position in cases of scoliosis. Method of implementing educational activities using lecture, demonstration and question and answer methods with a total of 30 participants. The material presented is about the correct sitting position, how to define scoliosis, causes, prevention, and scoliosis exercises. To determine participants' understanding of the material presented, an evaluation was carried out using a questionnaire. The results of this community service activity show an increase in junior high school students' knowledge and understanding regarding the correct sitting position in cases of scoliosis.
