Abstract

This study evaluates the implementation of Maqashid Syariah Principles protecting religion (hifz ad-din) life (hifz an-nafs), wealth (hifz al-mal), and the environment (hifz al-biah) in restaurant’s production practices. A qualitative case study approach was used, with primary data from interviews with owner, employees, and customers, alongside direct observations and secondary data from operational documents. The results show that Rumah Makan Angin Berhembus applies hifz ad-din and hifz an-nafs by serving halal, thayyib food and maintaining cleanliness in production. The al-mal principle is reflected in the use of local ingrediets. However, there are gaps in the hifz al-biah principle, particularly in waste management and environmentally friendly production. Can serve as a model for other culinary businesses, promoting fairness and sustainability in their operations.

Abstract

The Society 5.0 era requires Islamic Religious Education (IRE) to adapt and transform through the application of technology, enabling it to respond to the needs of students living in the midst of digital developments. Various obstacles, such as limited digital competence of teachers, unequal access to technology, and low religious digital literacy, demonstrate the importance of more contextual and flexible IRE learning innovations. This study aims to identify forms of technology-based learning innovation, analyze barriers to its implementation, and formulate effective strategies for integrating technology to address challenges in the Society 5.0 era. The research method used is a literature study reviewing various scientific sources, such as journals, books, articles, and online literature published in the last ten years. Thematic content analysis techniques were used to reveal patterns, main issues, and relationships between themes in the process of digitizing PAI learning. The results of the study show that the use of various digital media, such as e-learning platforms, educational Islamic applications, interactive media, learning videos, and gamification systems, can increase student motivation, engagement, and understanding. Abstract

This study aims to determine isolate yeast spontaneously fermented Robusta coffee beans which are amylolytic and to determine the effect of incubation time, optimum pH and temperature on amylase activity. This study used RAL (Completely Randomized Design). The yeast isolates used were selected using 1% starch + 2% agar media to determine their amylolytic abilities. The isolate that produces the highest clear zone will proceed to the optimum incubation time determination stage which is divided into 6 levels, namely 24, 48, 72, 96, 120 and 144 hours with 3 repetitions. Every 24 hours the total yeast count was carried out. The optimum incubation time is used as one of the conditions in the characterization of the optimum pH and temperature of the amylase enzyme. The selected samples were then characterized at pH (4,5,6,7 and 8) and at temperature (30℃, 40℃, 50℃ and 60℃) to determine the optimum pH and temperature. The data analysis technique used was analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by Duncan's test using SPSS Version 22. The results of this study indicated that 4 of the 7 yeast isolates involved in the spontaneous fermentation of Robusta coffee beans had amylolytic properties, namely isolates K24I3, K24I4, K24I6 and K24I7. The selection results showed that the yeast isolate K24I6 produced the highest clear zone with a diameter of 7.83 mm. The optimum incubation time for amylase enzyme from yeast isolate K24I6 was 24 hours with enzyme activity of 19.91 U/ml. The optimum yeast isolate amylase enzyme at pH 6 is 20.00 U/ml and the optimum temperature is 40℃ with enzyme activity of 19.98 U/ml.

Abstract

Research-based elective courses can be an alternative to Student-Centered Learning (SCL) classes. Project-based learning (PjBL) can be an attractive learning method. PjBL was developed through lecturers' research interests to balance the tri dharma of higher education. This study aims to give an example of creating an elective course in an SCL class. Kansei Engineering in Affective Design (KEiAD) class is a PjBL elective course successfully implemented in the Industrial Engineering Department of Universitas Trisakti by appointing the lecturer's research. Course learning outcome (CLO) was developed through five major stages of the KEiAD framework: identifying Kansei users, selecting design concepts, identifying key design elements, formulating design, and prototyping. The first lecture had good results. Eleven groups containing two to three students could formulate 11 affective products. All students also succeeded in achieving the expected outcomes of this course. Several students showed interest in using KEiAD as a final project topic. In the future, a quota for elective courses that is too large, such as 32 students, is considered too large because the assistance in class is not intensive enough. Smaller student quotas and R studio alternatives can be considered for continuous improvement.

Abstract

Background: The high rate of stunting is closely linked to cultural influences within local communities. Therefore, health promotion intervention strategies need to be adapted to align with the cultural context of each community. Objective: This study aims to analyze culturally based interventions for preventing stunting in children aged 0–5 years. Methods: This literature review was conducted systematically using the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Searches across five databases (ProQuest, ScienceDirect, Taylor & Francis, Scopus, and Google Scholar) yielded seven articles involving 352 participants who received culturally based stunting prevention interventions. Results: Seven articles were analyzed in depth, including three experimental studies without control groups. Five studies reported that culturally based health education interventions effectively improved knowledge, attitudes, and stunting prevention practices among caregivers of toddlers (p<0.05). The remaining two studies found that culturally grounded supplementary feeding interventions improved toddlers’ nutritional status (p<0.05). Conclusion: Culturally based interventions are effective in strengthening stunting prevention efforts for children aged 0–5 years. Integrating cultural approaches enhances community acceptance and can serve as a strategic option for governments to accelerate stunting reduction programs.

Abstract

Purpose – This study explores how principals’ strategic leadership practices foster an innovation culture in vocational education and contribute to school competitiveness, using SMK 14 Samarinda as a case study. Previous studies have discussed strategic leadership and school innovation separately, yet limited research explains how leadership visions are translated into operational practices within vocational school contexts. Methods – This research employed a qualitative case study design. Data were collected through in-depth semi-structured interviews with the school principal, supported by document analysis. Thematic analysis following the Miles and Huberman interactive model was applied, involving data reduction, coding, categorization, and conclusion drawing. Credibility was strengthened through source triangulation and member checking. Findings – The findings indicate that strategic leadership at SMK 14 Samarinda promotes an innovation culture through consistent vision communication, data-driven decision-making, collaborative teacher engagement, implementation of project-based learning, and continuous academic supervision. These leadership practices function as micro-mechanisms linking strategic policies with innovative classroom practices, contributing to improved learning quality and strengthening the school’s competitiveness in vocational education. Research Implications – This study provides practical implications for vocational school leaders in implementing data-driven, adaptive, and collaborative strategic leadership to foster sustainable innovation cultures. As this study focuses on a single case school and a limited set of informants, the findings are context-specific and cannot be broadly generalized. Future research should involve comparative multi-school designs and multi-informant data sources to strengthen external validity.

Abstract

"KR" is a service-based business, a soccer school (SSB). This business was established to help students who enjoy soccer develop and train physically. A sports teacher and his colleagues founded the SSB. The current limited number of students has resulted in a lack of profit from one of the rented field locations over the past 2 years of operation. The SSB business remains unstable but is expected to grow. The purpose of this community service activity is to equip SSB managers with the knowledge and skills to formulate effective business strategies by developing an innovative, sustainable SSB business model. The results show that partners have successfully improved their understanding of the BMC concept, customer segments, and cost strategies. This Community Service Program is expected to serve as teaching materials, obtain IPR, and be published in a Sinta 4-accredited journal.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of implementing the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) model in improving students’ understanding of fractions at SMA Negeri 1 Gerung. The background of this research is based on the low level of students’ understanding of fraction concepts, which are often abstract and difficult to comprehend through conventional teaching approaches. RME was selected as a strategic alternative because it emphasizes the connection between mathematical concepts and students’ real-life experiences, making learning more contextual and meaningful. The research method used was a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group format. The sample consisted of two classes: an experimental class that applied the RME model and a control class that used conventional teaching methods. The research instruments included a conceptual understanding test and an observation sheet to assess students’ learning activities. The results of data analysis indicated a significant difference between the posttest scores of students in the experimental class and those in the control class, with a higher average improvement observed in the class that implemented RME. In addition, students demonstrated greater engagement and enthusiasm during the learning process. These findings suggest that RME is effective in enhancing students’ understanding of fraction concepts and in promoting active participation. Therefore, it is recommended that mathematics teachers consider implementing RME as an alternative approach in teaching fractions at the senior high school level.
