Abstract

This study aims to examine how visionary leadership contributes to techno-pedagogical transformation by integrating progressive educational values, technology-enhanced learning, and school improvement processes. Employing a conceptual research design, the study utilizes a critical literature review to synthesize theoretical and empirical scholarship on visionary leadership, progressive education, digital transformation, educational innovation, and professional learning. The analysis reveals that visionary leadership functions as a strategic, pedagogical, and ethical force that enables schools to align technological innovation with meaningful educational purposes. The findings indicate that techno-pedagogical transformation is facilitated through several interconnected mechanisms, including shared vision development, teacher empowerment, professional learning communities, collaborative learning cultures, and reflective technology integration. Building on these findings, the study proposes the Progressive Visionary Leadership Framework for Techno-Pedagogical School Transformation, which positions visionary leadership as a mediator between progressive educational principles and technology-enhanced learning practices. The framework highlights how democratic participation, experiential learning, collaboration, and learner agency can guide sustainable digital transformation in schools. This study contributes to the educational leadership literature by offering an integrative conceptual perspective that bridges leadership theory, progressive pedagogy, and digital innovation. The proposed framework provides a foundation for future empirical research and practical leadership initiatives aimed at fostering adaptive, inclusive, and sustainable learning schools in the digital era.

Abstract

This article identifies the causes of disruptive behaviour (PD) in elementary school children and explains how PD can contribute to social exclusion. The study in this article employs a case study design and is conducted in an elementary school in Sragen Indonesia. Data were gathered through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. To test the validity, the researcher used triangulation. The data obtained and declared valid were then analyzed by following the procedures proposed by Miles et al. (2014). They are data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The results showed that (a) the family environment, school environment, playmate environment, and community environment were the determinants of the emergence of children’s disruptive behaviour, (b) the process of social exclusion as a result of PD was applied by following three stages; group assessment of the risk of PD, decision making to exclude perpetrators, and selflimitation of excluded students within a specified time. It could be concluded that based on the four environments that affected children’s disruptive behaviour, the family environment and school environment were frequently determinants. Nevertheless, in some cases, the existence of a role model in the community reinforced the children’s disruptive behaviour. The social exclusion that came from disruptive behaviour (in the third phase) would only be stopped when the perpetrator no longer shows their disruptive behaviour. Abstract

Purpose – Post-pandemic evidence indicates a decline in educational quality across many developing countries. Reports from the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) and the Indonesian Ministry of Education have documented learning losses and quality deterioration following Covid-19. While previous studies have identified school culture as an important determinant of school quality, limited attention has been given to the behavioral mechanisms through which this influence operates. This study examines the relationship between school culture and school quality, with teacher integrity as a mediating variable.Method – A quantitative research design was employed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Data were collected from 232 teachers of Muhammadiyah junior high schools in the Solo Raya region, Indonesia, through purposive sampling.Findings – The results revealed that school culture significantly influenced teacher integrity (β = 0.621, p < 0.001), and teacher integrity significantly influenced school quality (β = 0.830, p < 0.001). However, the direct effect of school culture on school quality was not significant (β = 0.055, p = 0.316). Teacher integrity fully mediated the relationship between school culture and school quality (β = 0.516, p < 0.001), indicating that the effectiveness of school culture in enhancing institutional quality depends on the extent to which organizational values are translated into teachers’ ethical and professional conduct.

Abstract

Educational transformation in the digital era requires madrasah principals to have adaptive skills in managing change and driving educational innovation. This study aims to analyze the adaptive leadership practices of madrasah principals in facing educational transformation in the digital era, identify the challenges faced, and examine the efforts made to overcome them. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study design at MI Muhammadiyah Al Manar Demak. Research informants consisted of madrasah principals, teachers, and education staff selected through purposive sampling and snowball sampling techniques. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. Data validity was carried out through source triangulation, technical triangulation, member checking, and audit trails. The results showed that madrasah principals implemented adaptive leadership by strengthening digital vision, improving teacher competency, building a collaborative culture, and providing space for technology-based learning innovation. The main challenges faced included limited technological facilities, low digital literacy among some teachers, and resistance to change. To overcome these challenges, madrasah principals developed ongoing training, learning communities, and partnerships with various parties. The research findings confirm that adaptive leadership plays a crucial role in supporting digital transformation and improving the quality of education in madrasas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the principal's instructional leadership model in improving the quality of learning at SDN Margapadang 1 Tegal. This study focuses on how the principal implements academic supervision, teacher development, and training to strengthen classroom learning practices. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the principal, teacher questionnaires, classroom observations, and document analysis in the form of school work plans, academic supervision schedules, supervision notes, and student learning reports. Data were analyzed thematically using source triangulation to ensure the consistency and credibility of the findings. The findings indicate that the principal implements instructional leadership through scheduled academic supervision, constructive feedback, regular teacher development meetings, and reflective coaching. These practices increase teacher motivation, strengthen teacher confidence, encourage the use of more diverse teaching methods, and create a more open academic culture. However, the impact is not fully distributed across all teachers due to time constraints and the principal's administrative workload. Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji fenomena Living Qur'an dalam pembentukan growth mindset santri melalui program terintegrasi Tahfidz dan Entrepreneurship di Pesantren IMTAQ Shigor Program Khusus Isy Karima, Karanganyar. Living Qur'an dimaksudkan sebagai praktik menginternalisasi, menghidupi, dan mengaplikasikan nilai-nilai Al-Qur'an dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, bukan sekadar membaca atau menghafalkannya secara mekanis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis serta triangulasi teknik dan sumber. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi yang melibatkan santri, ustadz, mentor entrepreneurship, dan pengurus pesantren. Hasil penelitian mengungkap tiga temuan utama: (1) Living Qur'an terwujud melalui program tadabbur ayat dan doktrin ayat yang secara aktif mengaplikasikan QS. Ar-Ra'd: 11, QS. Al-Qamar: 32, QS. Al-Insyirah: 5-6, dan QS. Al-Muzzammil: 20 sebagai panduan dalam kegiatan hafalan maupun kewirausahaan; (2) praktik Living Qur'an membentuk growth mindset melalui empat mekanisme: ketekunan hafalan, reframing kegagalan sebagai pembelajaran, keyakinan diri transendental dari ayat Al-Qur'an, dan mastery experiences; (3) respons pesantren terhadap hambatan menggunakan ayat-ayat yang sama mampu mentransformasi hambatan menjadi katalis growth mindset. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada model pembentukan growth mindset Qur'ani yang memperkaya teori Dweck dengan dimensi spiritual-transendental.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to describe the application of 21st-century skills (6C) critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration, citizenship, and character as an effort to strengthen civic skills in Pancasila Education at MTs Negeri 2 Surakarta. Specifically, it analyzes how 6C-based learning practices reveal indicators of students' civic skills, including intellectual and participatory skills, teachers' pedagogical strategies in structuring learning activities, and supporting and inhibiting factors that influence the strengthening of civic skills in the madrasah environment.Methodology: This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis using triangulation of sources, methods, and time to ensure data validity. The participants consisted of Pancasila Education teachers, students, and the principal and vice principal of the madrasah. Data were analyzed through stages of reduction, presentation, and inductive conclusion drawing.Results: The findings show that the application of 21st-century skills in Pancasila Education strengthens students' civic skills through critical thinking, group collaboration, reflective communication, and active participation. Teachers' pedagogical strategies that integrate constructivism and deliberative democracy theories effectively foster students' intellectual abilities and social responsibility. Supporting factors include a religious and collaborative school culture and a curriculum emphasizing moral and spiritual values, while obstacles involve limited facilities, time, and varied student engagement.Applications/Originality/Value: This study contributes theoretically to developing a 6C-based Pancasila Education model relevant to the madrasah context. Practically, it serves as a reference for teachers to design contextual, participatory, and character-oriented learning. Its originality lies in integrating 21st-century competencies with Islamic and national values to form critical, religious, and responsible citizens.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of self-control on the manners of Generation Alpha among high school students in Karanganyar Regency who live in a digital environment with high technology exposure.Methodology: This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with a correlational design, with a proportional random sampling technique from a population of 3,649 students and involving 251 respondents who meet the age criteria of Generation Alpha. The research instrument is a 45-item questionnaire that has passed the validity test (r > 0.267) and has strong reliability (Cronbach's Alpha > 0.60). Data analysis was carried out using classical assumption tests for normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity, and hypothesis testing via simple regression and t-tests.Results: The results show that self-control has a positive and significant effect on the manners of Generation Alpha, evidenced by a Sig. value of 0.001 (<0.05) and a t-count of 5.607 > t-table of 1.970 so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. The regression coefficient of 0.882 indicates that increased self-control directly contributes to improved manners, such as maintaining ethical communication, being humble, speaking well, and respecting others.Applications/Originality/Value: This finding confirms that self-control is a crucial factor in shaping polite behavior, especially in the context of digital life, which is vulnerable to negative impulses. Theoretically, this study strengthens the concept of self-control as a predictor of prosocial behavior, while practically offering important implications for schools, parents, and policymakers in designing character education interventions that focus on strengthening self-regulation to maintain polite values among Generation Alpha.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the influence of parenting styles and self-control on adolescents' sense of responsibility.Methodology: A quantitative approach with an ex post facto design was employed,. The sampling technique used is proportional stratified random sampling. The study population consists of 711 grade 11 students at SMAN 1 Kartasura and SMAN 2 Sukoharjo, and the study sample consists of 256 students.Results: The simultaneous regression analysis shows that parenting style and self-control jointly have a significant effect on adolescents' responsibility (F = 161.863, p < 0.05). Self-control emerged as the strongest predictor, contributing more substantially to the variance of responsibility compared with parenting style.Applications/Originality/Value: This study can be applied in the field of Civic Education by quantitatively proving that Self Control is a more dominant predictor than Parenting Style in explaining the formation of Responsibility in Adolescents. This finding confirms that the internalization of national values and civic responsibility is highly dependent on an individual's capacity for self-regulation. Its applied value lies in concrete recommendations for teachers and civic education curriculum developers to design integrative intervention programs that not only teach values but also explicitly prioritize training in Self-Control skills and impulse management.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to ascertain how social media use and self-awareness affect students' digital ethics.Methodology: The research utilizes a correlational design and a quantitative methodology. A questionnaire with twenty-two statements was used to gather data. 255 students from the UMS Faculty of Teacher Training and Education made up the research sample. The data analysis procedure employed multiple linear regression, T-test, F-test, coefficient of determination, and prerequisite tests (normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity).Results: The regression equation Y = 7.900 + 0.665X1 + 0.709X2 revealed that social media use (X1) and self-awareness (X2) had a favorable and significant impact on digital ethics. Social media (t = 6.778; p < 0.05) and self-awareness (t = 8.203; p < 0.05) have a substantial partial influence, according to the t-test, and both have a significant simultaneous effect, according to the F-test (F = 201.326; p < 0.05). 61% of the variation in students' performance is explained by the two independent factors. in students' digital ethics, according to the Adjusted R Square value of 0.612. Applications/Originality/Value: This study is important because it shows that students' digital ethics are more influenced by their level of self-awareness than by their frequency of social media use. This finding makes an original contribution by emphasizing that strengthening digital ethics needs to focus on increasing self-awareness and digital literacy. The findings of this study can be used to improve education, particularly in the areas of digital literacy and character education, in order to mold moral and responsible online conduct.
