Abstract

Continuity of care midwifery care is the provision of continuous midwifery care from pregnancy, childbirth, newborns, the postpartum period, and family planning to reduce maternal and infant mortality. Continuity of care is a comprehensive service that supports women throughout pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum care, and family planning. The philosophy of comprehensive midwifery care holds that pregnancy and birth are physiological and that the welfare of the mother and fetus must be considered through ongoing care. This relates to the role of midwives as professional healthcare workers, which often involves assisting women throughout the reproductive health cycle. The research aimed to gain real-world experience in implementing comprehensive midwifery care using Verney and Soap's seven-step care management model. The results of the assessment were obtained on Mrs "H" aged 32 years GVIPVAI, at the Makassar City Regional Hospital, the pregnancy was normal, the antenatal care examination was carried out six times, the birth was spontaneous without complications, the baby was born spontaneously with a newborn: 2,900 grams, birth body length 51 cm, head circumference: 33cm chest circumference: 31cm, abdominal circumference: 30cm, Apgar/score: 8/10, gender female. Postpartum progressed normally; complaints were still in the normal category, and family planning care was provided regarding contraceptive counseling. The author concludes that, from pregnancy and childbirth through the newborn period and postpartum period, to family planning, everything is normal without any complications.

Abstract

Students have difficulty solving math story problems because they do not understand the context and do not know how to start, due to conventional learning and lack of connection with real experiences. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the RME approach on students' problem-solving abilities in solving story problems. The study was conducted in grade IV of SD Negeri 36 Sorong City using a quantitative method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The instruments used included test questions (pretest and posttest), learning implementation observation sheets, student activity observation sheets, RME syntax implementation sheets, and student response questionnaires. Data analysis techniques in this study were normality tests, paired sample t-tests and -gain tests, then learning outcome completeness tests. The results showed an increase in problem-solving abilities after the implementation of the RME approach. The average posttest score was higher than the pretest, and the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test results showed a significance of 0.000 <0.05, which means there was a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results. The N-Gain value of 0.5750 is included in the moderate category. The classical learning completion rate reached 84% and was in the very good category. The implementation of learning and RME syntax each achieved an average of above 85%, which is included in the very good category. Student activity also showed high results, with the majority of students in the active and very active categories. The results of the student response questionnaire showed that all students gave a positive response to the learning. Based on these results, the RME approach has proven effective in improving students' problem-solving abilities in solving mathematical story problems on the topic of measuring units of length.

Abstract

Background: Although permanent contraception is one of the most efficacious contraceptive methods, its adoption remains minimal in rural Indonesia, particularly in Madiun Regency. This situation underscores a paradox: demographic eligibility is present, yet adoption remains constrained, indicating underlying psychosocial obstacles. Prior research has infrequently examined the concurrent influence of motivation and attitude, resulting in a deficiency in comprehending the behavioural determinants of sterilisation choices. Methods: A cross-sectional quantitative study was performed with 138 couples of reproductive age in the jurisdiction of Bangunsari Health Centre. Data were gathered with a validated Likert-scale questionnaire that evaluated motivation and attitude. Statistical study encompassed chi-square tests and logistic regression to investigate correlations and identify primary factors. Results: The study revealed that 43% of participants shown little motivation, and 69% displayed negative attitudes towards permanent contraception. A substantial association was identified between motivation and attitude levels (p < 0.05), indicating that highly motivated individuals were markedly more inclined to possess positive attitudes. Principal obstacles comprised apprehension of irreversible adverse consequences, societal stigma, and insufficient spousal communication. Elevated motivation correlated with a sense of security, perceived efficacy of contraception, and fulfilment of intended family size. Conclusion: Motivation and attitude are critical behavioural factors influencing the decision to take permanent contraception. This study addresses a significant research gap by combining both dimensions within a specific rural context. To enhance adoption, family planning initiatives must include behaviour change communication (BCC), encourage partner-based counselling, and tackle emotional obstacles that prevent informed, voluntary contraceptive decisions.

Abstract

The tropical geographical conditions of Morowali with a long rainy season greatly support the breeding of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, a factor causing dengue fever (DHF). Therefore, Morowali requires a more integrated approach and involves the community directly in prevention efforts, especially with more innovative methods that can reach various groups such as the peer education method. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the peer education method with the Health Promotion Model (HPM) approach on changes in knowledge and behavior in preventing Dengue Fever (DHF) before and after. This study used a quantitative research type with a quasi-experiment two-group method. The population was 120 students with a sample size of 60 people. Samples were taken randomly using the random sampling method. Data collection used a closed questionnaire. The data analysis technique used the Wilcoxon test. The results of the study showed a mean rank value of 90.37, meaning that peer education has a large influence on behavioral changes, while knowledge has a mean rank value of 86.73 on preventing Dengue Fever (DHF). The significance value of 0.000 <0.05 indicates that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected so that there is a significant influence between the peer education method and the Health Promotion Model (HPM) approach on changes in behavior in preventing Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). This study shows that health education involving students as agents of change is effective in improving student behavior in preventing DHF.

Abstract

Abstract: Rewarding is an important strategy in increasing individual motivation and performance, both in educational environments, companies, and other organizations. However, the process of selecting reward recipients is often done subjectively, which can lead to dissatisfaction and potential injustice. Therefore, an objective and measurable method is needed to determine reward recipients in a more transparent and fair manner. One of the decision-making methods that can be applied in this process is the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. The SAW method is known as a simple and effective method in assessing alternatives based on predetermined criteria. With clear criteria weights and values, this method is able to provide more objective results in the reward recipient selection process. Rewarding based on the SAW method aims to increase objectivity and transparency in the selection of reward recipients because it has assessment indicators for each criterion in each alternative involved. There are nine classes of teaching staff who are assessed using the SAW Method with four assessment criteria in awarding rewards, namely Last Education, Length of Service, Discipline and Teaching Methods. Based on these calculations, the alternative that is entitled to receive a reward is A01 with the highest Vi value of 0.95 Keywords: SAW Method, Reward, Instructor Abstrak: Pemberian reward merupakan salah satu strategi penting dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan kinerja individu, baik dalam lingkungan pendidikan, perusahaan, maupun organisasi lainnya.
