Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman dan komunikasi matematis siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan Program Google SketchUp dan pembelajaran langsung, interaksi antara pembelajaran yang digunakan dengan kategori kemampuan siswa dalam hal kemampuan pemahaman dan komunikasi matematis siswa, serta sikap siswa terhadap pembelajaran dengan Program Google SketchUp. Desain penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan kelompok kontrol tes awal dan tes akhir. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa di salah satu SMP Negeri di Lembang dengan sampel penelitian siswa kelas VIII sebanyak dua kelas yang dipilih secara purposif. Kelompok eksperimen memperoleh pembelajaran dengan Program Google SketchUp dan kelompok kontrol memperoleh pembelajaran langsung. Untuk mendapatkan data hasil penelitian digunakan instrumen berupa tes kemampuan pemahaman dan komunikasi matematis, skala sikap, dan jurnal siswa. Analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Analisis kuantitatif dilakukan terhadap data tes awal, tes akhir, dan gain ternormalisasi kemampuan pemahaman dan komunikasi matematis, serta terhadap data tes kedua kelompok dilakukan uji perbedaan rata-rata antara dua populasi dan ANOVA dua jalur. Analisis kualitatif dilakukan untuk menelaah sikap siswa terhadap pembelajaran Program Google SketchUp. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran Program Google SketchUp lebih baik daripada siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran langsung, peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran Program Google SketchUp lebih baik daripada siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran langsung, terdapat suatu interaksi antara pembelajaran yang digunakan dengan kategori kemampuan (tinggi, sedang, dan rendah) siswa dalam hal kemampuan pemahaman matematis, terdapat suatu interaksi antara pembelajaran yang digunakan dengan kategori kemampuan (tinggi, sedang, dan rendah) siswa dalam hal kemampuan komunikasi matematis, serta sikap siswa positif terhadap pembelajaran dengan Program Google SketchUp. Abstract. This study intended to investigation the impovement of students comprehension of mathematical communication by using Google SketchUp and direct Instruction, the interaction between students' learning ability and learning method in term of students' comprehension and mathematical communication skills, and also students' attitudes toward Google SketchUp. The study used quasi experimental design and employed control group with pretest and control final test. The population of study was eight grade students at of one a public Junior High schools in Lembang and two classes was choosen as a sample. Experimental group was used Google SketchUp and control group was used direct Instruction learning. The data were collected though students understanding of mathematical communication test, Likert scales, and student journal. The data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative. The quantitative data were analyzed using pretest and posttest and the normalized gain comprehension of mathematical communication, and also conducted test both of groups which are performed the mean difference test between two populations and two-ways ANOVA. The qualitative data were analyzed using students' attitudes toward Google SketchUp learning. The finding of this study suggested that Google SketchUp learning was effective in improving students' comprehension of mathematical communication. More over, result showed that there is interaction between students' learning ability (high, medium, and low) in terms of students' comprehension of mathematical communication and also positive students' attitude toward Google SketchUp learning.

Abstract

Komunikasi matematis dalam pembelajaran matematika sangat penting dan harus Dimiliki siswa, hal ini disebabkan oleh komunikasi matematika mengatur dan mengkonsolidasikan pemikiran matematika siswa baik secara lisan maupun tulisan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang memiliki gaya belajar auditorial dan gaya belajar visual dalam pembelajaran matematika secara daring (online). Metode penelitian ini yaitu penelitian deskriptif yang menggunakan pendekatan survey. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa instrument angket gaya belajar dengan menggunakan google forms. Selanjutnya diambil beberapa siswa untuk mengerjakan soal komunikasi matematis yang dibuat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat Sebagian siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam mengkomunikasikan serta memahami materi yang diajarkan karena pembelajaran matematika secara daring merupakan hal baru bagi siswa serta sebagian siswa tidak senang jika pembelajaran matematika dilakukan secara daring yang disebabkan oleh faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya seperti kendala teknis, tekanan karena banyak tugas dan lain sebagainya. Serta ditemukan bahwa siswa yang memiliki gaya belajar auditorial dan gaya belajar visual mempunyai cara yang berbeda dalam mengkomunikasikan ide dan gagasannya. Yaitu mampu menyatakan situasi secara tertulis, mampu mengubah situasi ke dalam model matematika, mampu mengungkapkan kesimpulan matematika yang diperolehnya dengan bahasa sendiri.

Abstract

Concept understanding and self-efficacy are two important aspects of mathematics learning that are interrelated. However, there is still debate about the relationship between these two aspects in the context of mathematics learning. Therefore, this study was conducted to analyze the classification of concept understanding and self-efficacy using K-means clustering with a sample of grade VIII students from three selected schools in Wolowaru District and Kelimutu District, Ende Regency, NTT. Data were collected through concept understanding test and self-efficacy questionnaire. The results showed that students' concept understanding and self-efficacy belonged to the medium and low classes. However, there was a practically insignificant correlation between the two aspects. The implication is the importance of developing learning strategies that can improve students' concept understanding and self-efficacy in the context of mathematics education.

Abstract

This research investigates students' mathematical language difficulties in solving word problems in elementary school. This research method uses a descriptive with a qualitative approach. The research subjects were 52 fifth-grade elementary school students using a purposive sampling technique with students of different abilities, namely upper, middle and lower abilities. Data collection techniques included triangulation data sources through tests, interviews, and questionnaires, as well as data analysis techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Research findings show that students with upper and middle ability problem solving are in the "low" category, and students with lower ability are in the "very low" category. Students' difficulties in mathematical language are most dominant in sentence indicators. The dominant error is that students do not write down what they know and ask. The influencing factors are internal factors: students are not used to reading long questions, so word problems are more difficult than telling stories directly; not careful; difficulty connecting to concepts (creating models); and students focus on mathematical symbols, not the language of the problem. External factors: Students are rarely introduced to word problems; the teacher does not use a special approach to word problems material learning; the language in the word problems is not yet communicative and authentic (based on real events, there are actors, settings and themes that are liked); and the environment is less supportive. This research concludes that mathematics word problems have a language structure from informal to formal (symbols) arranged in words, phrases, sentences and discourse. Word problems must be designed with communicative and more authentic language, more continuous learning of word problems is provided in each learning topic, and the learning environment at school and home must be mutually supportive.

Abstract

Problem solving ability is an ability that every student should be able to master so that the learning process runs smoothly. In problem solving, students are expected to have the ability to understand concepts, solve problems and be able to relate concepts to each other. The ability to understand problems must be related to students' daily lives, so that students can easily and longer remember the material given by the teacher. The aim of this research is to analyze the problem solving abilities faced by each student in solving volume cube problems. This type of research is qualitative research with qualitative descriptive methods. Subject selection was carried out using the Purposive Sampling method and 6 students were obtained as research subjects. Data collection was carried out using test and non-test methods, for the test students were given questions in the form of cube volume questions and for the non-test interviews and observations were carried out. Based on the research results, it shows that students who have high problem solving abilities almost master all indicators of problem solving abilities because there is only 1 indicator that students lack mastery, namely the indicator of solving problems with a plan. Students who fall into the category of moderate problem solving ability are able to understand problems and formulate plans but are still considered lacking in problem solving ability because there are several indicators that one of the students lacks control over, namely understanding problems and solving problems with a plan. Students who fall into the low problem solving ability category are considered to be lacking in problem solving ability because they lack mastery of each indicator, namely understanding problems, preparing plans, implementing plans, and looking back.

Abstract

Mathematics teaching material integrated with Islamic values can support the achievement of mathematics learning objectives in cognitive and affective aspects. This research aims to conduct a literature review related to the research and development of mathematics teaching material integrated with Islamic values. The method used in this research is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) which consists of 36 studies in the period 2018 - 2022. The key question in this research is how the articles regarding research and development of mathematics teaching materials integrated with Islamic values are distributed based on year of publication, level of education, Islamic values, and mathematics topics. The results of this research show that most studies related to mathematics teaching materials integrated with Islamic values were carried out in 2020, researchers conducted a lot of research on teaching materials integrated with Islamic values at the junior high school level, teaching materials integrated with Islamic values were mostly applied to the topic of numbers, and the most widely used Islamic value is the Quran. This research is expected to be a reference to carry out further research related to mathematics teaching materials integrated with Islamic values, and using mathematics teaching material integrated with Islamic values can be the option to make the mathematics learning process more meaningful.

Abstract

Tujuan dari studi meta-analisis ini adalah untuk menyelidiki dampak keseluruhan dari penerapan pendekatan RME pada kemampuan siswa SMP untuk memecahkan masalah matematika dan menentukan tingkat variasi antar studi. Hasil pencarian database Google Scholar mengungkapkan 19 artikel yang sesuai untuk inklusi. Analisis dengan Software Comprehensive Meta-Analysis, dan model estimasi efek acak digunakan untuk mengevaluasi ukuran efek indeks dari nilai Hedges-g. Temuan studi mengungkapkan bahwa penggunaan RME memiliki ukuran efek total 1.516 pada kemampuan siswa untuk pemecahan masalah matematis. Artinya, Penggunaan RME memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan siswa SMP dalam menjawab soal masalah matematika. Berdasarkan analisis tingkat variasi studi, terungkap bahwa perbedaannya signifikan dalam hal tahun penelitian (Qb=46,751; p<0,05), tingkat kelas (Qb=20,493; p<0,05), kapasitas kelas RME (Qb=35,880; p<0,05), dan demografi siswa (Qb=11,754; p<0,05). Ditemukan bahwa variabel tipe publikasi (Qb=0,003; p>0,05), dan status keterbantuan teknologi (Qb=0,258; p>0,05) tidak mengubah effect size penggunaan RME terhadap pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa RME lebih efektif diterapkan pada tahun 2022-2023, di kelas VIII, kapasitas kelas RME adalah 31 atau lebih, dan diterapkan di Pulau Sumatera atau Pulau Jawa. Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis, Realistic Mathematics Education (RME), Meta-analisis

Abstract

This research aims to systematically compile and evaluate research on self-confidence in mathematics learning. The method used in this research is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Data collection and analysis was carried out by following the general steps of the SLR method, namely formulating research problems, developing and validating review protocols, searching literature, screening inclusion criteria, assessing quality, extracting data, analyzing and synthesizing data and reporting findings. The results of this research show that the most research related to self-confidence in mathematics learning was carried out in 2020 in Indonesia, junior high schools were the most frequently chosen research subjects, the most widely used method was quantitative methods, the mathematics topics used were varied, indicators Self-confidence in general includes an optimistic, objective and rational attitude. The results of research on self-confidence in learning mathematics obtained various results which were reviewed into three aspects, namely aspects that can influence students' achievement of self-confidence in mathematics, the influence of self-confidence on other aspects, and the level of self-confidence. students' self in mathematics.

Abstract

As technology continued to advance, the educational landscape evolved, leading to the development of learning management systems, online platforms, and multimedia resources. Blended learning  has since become a cornerstone in educational strategies. The purpose of this study is to describe the research trend data on Blended learning . The Systematic Literature Network Analysis (SLNA) method was employed for the investigation. This study's data is made up of non-time-limited research articles on Blended learning. The articles were retrieved from the Scopus database. The data was evaluated using a bibliometric and network analysis technique with programs R and VOSviewer. The findings indicate that the number of studies and research citations fluctuate. Keyword cluster analysis indicates that the predominant focus of research lies in Blended learning. Simultaneously, the terms 'personnel training' and 'academic performance' exhibit interconnections with inquiries into Blended learning . Subsequent scholarly investigations ought to broaden and elaborate upon facets of Blended learning  conceptualization, assessment methodologies, pedagogical instruction, and organizational backing, to furnish a more exhaustive and all-encompassing research outlook.

Abstract

Beberapa riset menunjukan bahwasannya banyak pebelajar di Indonesia masih mengalami kesulitan dalam kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Riset ini memiliki tujuan dalam menganalisis serta menggambarkan keahlian pemecahan masalah dari mahasiswa calon guru dasar ditinjau dari kemampuan mahasiswa. Dalam riset ini, sampel penelitian yaitu tiga orang mahasiswa dengan terkualifikasi memiliki tingkat kemampuan tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Pendekatan yang dilakukan peneliti yakni pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes dan wawancara dengan tiga subjek yang terdiri dari kategori tinggi, sedang, rendah yang diberi soal kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang diisi dalam waktu maksimal 60 menit.  Hasil riset menghasilkan gambaran mengenai profil mahasiswa dengan kategori kemampuan yang tinggi ia mampu menyelesaikan soal melalui tahapan pemecahan masalah yang sistematis dan mampu memformulasikan situasi soal ke dalam kalimat matematika. Dengan demikian, profil mahasiswa yang memiliki kualifikasi pada kategori kemampuan sedang mampu menafsirkan masalah dengan menuliskan informasi yang diperoleh dan sedikit keliru dalam membuat formula dan profil mahasiswa pada kategori kemampuan rendah ia hanya dapat mengenali informasi penting pada soal dan kesulitan mengubah pemodelan soal ke dalam kalimat matematika.
