Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, strategi pengembangan pendidikan, serta peran kepala sekolah dalam menghadapi tantangan era kontemporer di SMP Muhammadiyah Sumbang. Dalam konteks kepemimpinan, kepala sekolah berperan sebagai pemimpin kontemporer yang humanis, memanusiakan guru, staf, dan peserta didik, serta melibatkan seluruh elemen sekolah dalam pengambilan keputusan melalui koordinasi terbuka. Strategi pengembangan pendidikan difokuskan pada peningkatan kualitas guru dan tenaga kependidikan melalui pelatihan, penguatan profesionalisme, serta penyediaan fasilitas pembelajaran berbasis teknologi seperti Smart TV, jaringan internet memadai, dan digitalisasi administrasi sekolah. Di tengah tantangan global, seperti perkembangan teknologi dan perubahan sosial, kepala sekolah memiliki peran strategis dalam menjaga karakter peserta didik dengan tetap adaptif terhadap digitalisasi. Kepala sekolah juga berfungsi sebagai fasilitator, kontroler, dan evaluator, serta menjalin kemitraan dengan pihak luar guna meningkatkan layanan pendidikan. Hasil wawancara menunjukkan bahwa strategi kepemimpinan yang terbuka terhadap inovasi dan berbasis nilai-nilai moral menjadi fondasi penting dalam menjawab tuntutan global sekaligus mengembangkan mutu pendidikan secara berkelanjutan di SMP Muhammadiyah Sumbang.

Abstract

Inequalities in access to and quality of education are serious issues at SMP IT Nusantara Kembaran, characterized by inadequate facilities, a shortage of teachers and textbooks, and low parental economic capacity. This study aims to identify the factors causing inequalities in access to and quality of education at SMP IT Nusantara Kembaran. This study employs a phenomenological qualitative approach through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis involving teachers, students, parents, and community leaders. The findings reveal that these inequalities stem from an imbalanced teacher-to-student ratio and a lack of learning resources. Consequently, students drop out due to financial constraints, face learning difficulties from sharing textbooks, experience diminished motivation to learn, and encounter limited access to transportation to school. This study concludes that these inequalities have the potential to perpetuate intergenerational social disparities, thus requiring affirmative policies and more participatory school management.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) are an important space in the study of the sociology of Islamic education the tradition of hadith scholarship with contemporary gender dynamics. This study highlights how hadith learning becomes a crucial arena for female students (santriwati) to understand their religious and social roles, and how the figure of the female teacher (nyai/ustazah) strengthens women's authority in Islamic education. The study aims to explain the process of hadith learning, the role of the female teacher (nyai/ustazah) as a scholarly authority for women, and the agency of female students in interpreting hadith texts to construct their identities and social roles. The research method uses a qualitative approach to pesantren gender studies through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show: (1) female students study hadith on worship, morals, family, and women's social roles; (2) female teachers (ustazah) act as scholarly authority figures for women; and (3) female students interpret hadith to understand their roles in education, family, and society. This research contributes to the study of hadith learning, the development of Islamic education, and the quality of women's Islamic boarding schools (pesantren).

Abstract

Majelis taklim sebagai forum pendidikan agama nonformal di lingkungan pondok pesantren memiliki peran strategis tidak hanya dalam transmisi ilmu agama, tetapi juga dalam pembentukan karakter sosial santri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji partisipasi santri putri dalam majelis taklim di Pondok Pesantren Jogonegoro serta dampaknya terhadap kehidupan sosial mereka, khususnya dalam aspek internalisasi adab, konstruksi identitas sosial, dan harmonisasi tradisi dengan transformasi. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode etnografi dan deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui triangulasi metode yang meliputi wawancara mendalam dengan santri putri, pengurus majelis taklim, dan ustazah, observasi lapangan pada tanggal 6 Mei 2026, serta studi dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara induktif menggunakan model analisis interaktif dengan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tiga temuan utama: pertama, terdapat dialektika dinamis antara kebebasan berpendapat dan internalisasi adab, di mana santri putri mengembangkan strategi komunikasi alternatif yang adaptif seperti bertanya dalam kemasan klarifikasi, diskusi informal, dan ungkapan tertulis sebagai wujud kecerdasan sosial; kedua, santri putri mengonstruksi identitas sosial mereka di atas perpaduan antara ketajaman berpikir kritis dan keluhuran budi pekerti, menjadikan mereka aktor sosial aktif yang bernegosiasi dengan struktur normatif pesantren; ketiga, partisipasi dalam majelis taklim menghasilkan harmonisasi antara tradisi dan transformasi yang memperkuat kohesi sosial. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa majelis taklim berfungsi sebagai ruang pembentukan karakter sekaligus arena negosiasi identitas santri putri yang dinamis dan transformatif. Penelitian selanjutnya disarankan untuk mengkaji perbandingan lintas pesantren guna memperoleh gambaran yang lebih komprehensif mengenai variasi dampak majelis taklim terhadap kehidupan sosial santri putri.   Kata kunci Majelis taklim, Santri putri, Pondok pesantren, Identitas sosial, Internalisasi adab

Abstract

Dalam praktik keseharian nilai- nilai keislaman tidak hanya terinternalisasi melalui pembelajaran secara formal, tapi bisa diterapkan melalui kegiatan yang terkadang kurang diperhatikan seperti, Sarapan pagi, Aktifitas jajan di Kantin,serta Pemenuhan standar kehalalan makanan. Dalam Studi tentang pendidikan agama, studi pendidikan di Madrasah lebih memfokuskan pada aspek formal, sehingga aspek materialis cenderung diabaikan yaitu keyakainan religius peserta didik dalam objek fisik, praktik konsumsi, dan interaksi sosial sehari hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji bagaimana Madrasah Tsanawiyah mampu menginternalisasikan studi pendidikan materialis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan etnografi materialis dengan observasi langsung kepada Guru, peserta didik, dan pengelola kantin, serta dilengkapi wawancara dan dokumentasi. Temuan utama yang didapatkan bahwa Madrasah Tsanawiyah mengatur jenis makanan, kebesihan kantin, dan larangan jajanan tertentu.Guru mengaitkan konsumsi makanan halal dengan kesehatan, kebersihan , dan akhlak. Penelitian  ini memberikan pemahaman tentang etika halal dalam konteks pendidikan serta dapat digunakan sebagai dasar penguatan mutu pendidikan melalui kebijakan, pembiasaan, dan budaya sekolah yang sehat.

Abstract

Abstract. The daily life of students at boarding schools follows a structured and rigorous routine, including congregational prayer, Quran recitation, and evening study sessions, which not only foster discipline but also play a role in building the students’ academic resilience. This study aims to analyze the role of daily rituals in fostering academic resilience among students at the Nurul Islam Islamic Boarding School in Karangjati, Sampang. The research employs a qualitative approach using observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that daily rituals foster students’ discipline, physical, and mental resilience through the habit formation of structured activities. Group activities also foster social solidarity, which helps students cope with academic pressure, fatigue, and homesickness. Students perceive worship and routines as sources of spiritual strength to endure academic demands. Thus, daily rituals in Islamic boarding schools serve not only as religious practices but also as social mechanisms in fostering academic resilience and strengthening students’ character within the Islamic educational environment. Kehidupan santri di pesantren berasrama memiliki ritual harian yang teratur dan padat, seperti salat berjamaah, mengaji, dan belajar malam, yang tidak hanya membentuk kedisiplinan tetapi juga berperan dalam membangun ketahanan akademik santri. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran ritual harian dalam pembentukan resiliensi akademik santri di Pondok Pesantren Nurul Islam Karangjati Sampang. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ritual harian mampu membentuk disiplin, ketahanan fisik, dan mental santri melalui pembiasaan aktivitas yang terstruktur. Kegiatan bersama juga menciptakan solidaritas sosial yang membantu santri menghadapi tekanan belajar, kelelahan, dan rasa rindu rumah. Santri memaknai ibadah dan rutinitas sebagai sumber kekuatan spiritual untuk bertahan dalam tuntutan akademik. Dengan demikian, ritual harian di pesantren tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai praktik keagamaan, tetapi juga sebagai mekanisme sosial dalam pembentukan resiliensi akademik dan penguatan karakter santri di lingkungan pendidikan Islam. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis negosiasi antara tradisi keilmuan pesantren dan teknologi pembelajaran berbasis Artificial Intelligence (AI) dalam kajian kitab kuning. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus di Pondok Pesantren At-Thohiriyah. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa santri memanfaatkan teknologi untuk mencari makna kosa kata, referensi, dan penjelasan tambahan, namun kiai dan ustaz tetap menjadi otoritas utama dalam validasi makna, konteks, dan adab keilmuan. Pesantren juga menerapkan aturan penggunaan teknologi agar tidak menggantikan metode talaqqi dan sorogan. Temuan ini menunjukkan adanya negosiasi antara efisiensi teknologi dan pelestarian tradisi keilmuan pesantren.

Abstract

This critical qualitative study examines the practice of anti-violence education at MA Ma’arif NU 1 Kemranjen, which still grapples with institutional disciplinary culture, religious rhetoric, and constructions of masculinity. The findings reveal a distinct ambivalence: on one hand, verbal and physical violence are frequently normalized under the guise of discipline and moral language; on the other hand, religious values are utilized by teachers to instill compassion and reject violence. Furthermore, the construction of student masculinity concurrently triggers group dominance and fosters peer solidarity. This study concludes that anti-violence education in madrasas requires a critical deconstruction of disciplinary culture and masculinity, which are often legitimized by religious narratives.

Abstract

This study analyzes how Islamic Education (PAI) teachers instill religious moderation (wasathiyah) within the multicultural environment of SMA Boarding School Putra Harapan, examined through the lens of agency and structure theory. The research aims to explore the interplay between teachers’ strategic capacity and institutional support in a diverse student body characterized by varying regional origins, socioeconomic statuses, and religious organizations. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were gathered through in-depth interviews, participant observations, and document analysis. The main results demonstrate that PAI teachers, acting as key agents, successfuly integrate tolerance, humanity, and national commitment into the curriculum. This is achieved through collaborative digital-mediated teaching and practical daily habits, such as visiting non-Muslim neighbors and conducting friendship visits to Christian schools. Structurally, the Abdul Mukti Islamic Foundation enables this process by aligning its vision, funding facilities, providing professional workshops, and conducting academic supervision. Structural constraints are limited to potential intra-religious friction regarding school thought variations and managing inclusive students. In conclusion, instilling religious moderation in a multicultural boarding school operates effectively due to a strong dialectic between the strategic agency of teachers and the adaptive, supportive institutional structure.

Abstract

Although religious moderation has become an important agenda in character education, limited research has examined how public elementary school teachers function sociologically as agents of value socialization in rural school contexts. This study aims to examine the role of public elementary school teachers as agents of socialization for religious moderation values in classroom learning. Employing a qualitative approach with a single case study design, the study was conducted at SDN Rejasari, Banjarmangu District, Banjarnegara Regency, Central Java, during the 2025–2026 academic period. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and curriculum document analysis, focusing on the strategies and practices implemented by Islamic Education (Pendidikan Agama Islam/PAI) teachers and classroom teachers. The findings reveal three key dimensions. First, PAI teachers simultaneously perform four roles in instilling religious moderation values: conservator, innovator, transmitter, and transformer. Second, the values socialized include justice (‘adl), balance (tawazun), moderation (i‘tidal), and unity and brotherhood (ukhuwah), which are internalized through exemplary behavior, classroom discussion, interfaith activities, and cross-subject integration. Third, the effectiveness of value socialization is strongly supported by teacher–parent collaboration and a conducive school environment, while the main obstacle is the limited direct interaction among students from different religious backgrounds. This study contributes to the development of religious moderation socialization models in rural public elementary school contexts and offers practical implications for strengthening character education curricula.
