Abstract

Startups are sufficiently developed in Indonesia to become a trend in business incubators that include college or university students. This is due to the incubation concept and program offered to prospective entrepreneurs who have potential ideas in business. Thus, research was conducted to determine the role of business incubators in building startups in universities. But there are obstacles in developing startups, limited technology, leadership and management. The study was conducted at the Alphabet Incubator of Raharja University with a qualitative approach. The research method used is the method of observation and literature review by collecting data that aims to simplify the process. It can be seen how the government encourages business incubators in developing startups and introducing business through technology. The research objective is to increase innovation or creativity in developing successful new startups in higher education. Seen from students utilizing the facilities at the Alphabet Incubator to develop small businesses in the digital industry to increase workforce.Keywords: Business Incubator; Startup; Innovation or CreativityStartup cukup berkembang di Indonesia sehingga menjadi trend dalam inkubator bisnis yang mencakup mahasiswa atau mahasiswi di perguruan tinggi. Hal ini disebabkan konsep dan program inkubasi yang ditawarkan kepada calon wirausaha yang mempunyai ide potensial dalam bisnis. Sehingga penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui peran inkubator bisnis dalam membangun startup pada perguruan tinggi. Namun terdapat kendala dalam mengembangkan startup, terbatasnya teknologi, kepemimpinan dan manajemen. Penelitian dilakukan di Alphabet Incubator Universitas Raharja dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode observasi dan literature review dengan mengumpulkan data yang bertujuan untuk mempermudah proses pengerjaannya. Dapat dilihat bagaimana pemerintah mendorong inkubator bisnis dalam mengembangkan startup dan mengenalkan bisnis melalui teknologi. Tujuan penelitian untuk meningkatkan inovasi atau kreativitas dalam mengembangkan startup baru yang sukses di perguruan tinggi. Terlihat dari mahasiswa memanfaatkan fasilitas di Alphabet Incubator untuk mengembangkan usaha kecil dalam industri digital untuk peningkatan tenaga kerja.Kata Kunci: Inkubator Bisnis; Startup; Inovasi atau Kreativitas

Abstract

The Industry 4.0 era marks a fundamental transformation in how businesses operate, with digitalization as a key catalyst in reshaping marketing strategies and branding. This study aims to examine the business and marketing digitalization strategies implemented by companies to increase brand awareness amidst technological disruption. By leveraging technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), and big data analytics, companies can expand brand reach, create more personalized communications, and increase real-time consumer engagement. The novelty of this study lies in its deep exploration of how these advanced technologies not only enhance operational efficiency but also significantly strengthen brand positioning by delivering more relevant, personalized, and integrated digital experiences to consumers. This study uses a mixed-method approach, namely a qualitative approach through case studies and a quantitative approach through a survey of industry players actively adopting Industry 4.0 technologies. The results show that digitalization not only improves operational efficiency but also strengthens brand positioning in the minds of consumers through relevant and integrated digital experiences. Furthermore, companies that successfully combine technological innovation with data driven marketing strategies tend to have stronger brand equity and high adaptability to market changes. These findings underscore the importance of investing in digital infrastructure and developing an innovative culture to strengthen brand awareness and sustainable business competitiveness.

Abstract

The rising demand for family-friendly entertainment highlights a gap in the market for innovative, interactive recreational spaces. Many current hubs focus on traditional arcade games, overlooking immersive and diverse experiences for all age groups. Transforming the 13th floor into a family entertainment hub aims to address this gap. The main objective of the project is to repurpose the space into an interactive hub that boosts weekend occupancy, attracts local families and staycation guests, and creates a signature brand experience through unique, engaging features. This project employs market research, customer insights, and financial analysis to design the layout and entertainment zones. The strat- egy includes branding, interactive design, and diverse activity areas tailored to both children and adults. Development stages cover concept design to full-scale renovation, blending modern technology with traditional games to appeal to a wide audience. The expected outcomes include a 25% increase in weekend occupancy and a 30% rise in staycation bookings. The unique ”TIME-VERSE” branding is projected to generate 50% of brand awareness, while the variety of activities ensures appeal to families with different interests. Financial forecasts predict profitability with a break-even point within six months of launch. Ulti- mately, this transformation will fill a key gap in the local market by offering an engaging, memorable experience for families. With its strong financial potential and distinctive branding, the 13th-floor hub is positioned to become a premier destination for both local residents and tourists, enhancing the area’s reputation as a weekend getaway spot.

Abstract

The increasing adoption of gamified systems in workplace settings has garnered significant attention, particularly in multinational enterprises (MNEs) seeking innovative approaches to enhance team member engagement and productivity. Background Gamified attendance systems, integrating game elements such as points, leaderboards, and rewards, present a novel strategy for improving attendance and punctuality across diverse cultural contexts. However, implementing such systems in cross-cultural settings poses unique challenges and opportunities. Objective: This study explores the factors influencing the adoption of gamified attendance systems in MNEs, focusing on cross-cultural adaptability and its implications for organisational performance. Research Method A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining qualitative interviews with HR managers and employees from diverse cultural backgrounds with a quantitative survey targeting 350 employees across 10 MNEs. Data were analysed using thematic analysis and structural equation modelling to identify cultural and organisational determinants of success. Results The findings reveal that cultural dimensions, such as power distance and individualism, significantly impact team member perceptions and engagement with gamified systems. While gamification enhanced attendance rates and morale in low-power-distance cultures, it faced resistance in high-power-distance environments. Additionally, alignment with organisational goals and transparent communication were critical for successful implementation. Conclusion: This study underscores the importance of cultural sensitivity and strategic planning in the cross-cultural adoption of gamified attendance systems. By addressing these factors, MNEs can leverage gamification to foster a more engaged and productive workforce, enhancing global operational efficiency. Future research should explore longitudinal impacts and sector-specific adaptations to optimise implementation outcomes.

Abstract

This study investigates the integration of AI in streamlining the alignment process between startups and potential collaborators and partners, particularly in the Indonesian startup ecosystem. The motivation behind this research lies in the gaps and challenges startups face in efficiently connecting with suitable partners or investors. We employed a bibliometric analysis approach. This study sourced data from Scopus, analysing 515 articles and 59,412 citations published from 2018 to 2023. Key findings provide insights into the predominant role of AI technologies, notably machine learning methods like deep learning and data mining, and the significance of recommendation systems that incorporate collaborative filtering. Furthermore, the results underscore the increasing importance of AI as an indispensable tool in the startup landscape, enhancing the efficiency and productivity of collaborations. We assessed publications from several countries, authors, and citations through the bibliometric measures to comprehensively understand the current trends and trajectories. The study concludes by recognising the transformative potential of AI in fostering tighter and more efficient alliances within the startup ecosystem, laying the groundwork for future research into refining AI-driven collaborative processes.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the impact of technology training on increasing the productivity of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), focusing on local artisans. The Partial Least Squares structural analysis method (PLS-SEM) tests the proposed hypothesis based on survey data from MSMEs participating in digital training programs. The research results show that active participation in technology training programs significantly increases the application of technology in MSME business operations. Applying this technology will then have a positive impact on improving the productivity of MSMEs. Additionally, consistency in construct measurement, such as reliability and validity, is vital in explaining variation in the dependent variable. These findings provide an essential contribution to understanding the role of technology in increasing the productivity of MSMEs and highlight the importance of consistency in construct measurement in the context of this research.

Abstract

Selama beberapa waktu dunia bisnis telah berhasil mengatasi persoalan aliran data yang besar dengan mengalihkan pemrosesan rutin dan transaksi bisnis mereka pada sistem informasi berbasis komputer. Namun, adanya perbedaan sistem informasi pada masing-masing bagian seringkali mensyaratkan penterjemahan dari satu sistem ke sistem lain secara manual, yang dapat mengurangi kecepatan dan keandalan proses pertukaran informasi antar bagian dalam perusahaan, serta sulitnya pengontrolan pekerjaan di seluruh bagian perusahaan. Company Wide Web (CWW) muncul sebagai usaha untuk mengatasi masalah ini. CWW didefinisikan sebagai sistem web yang digunakan untuk mengontrol, mengintegrasikan, dan mengotomasikan proses bisnis yang meliputi perpindahan dokumen melalui suatu prosedur kerja secara elektronis ke seluruh bagian perusahaan secara mudah, akurat, efisien, dan konsisten. Dalam artikel ini akan dikemukakan beberapa langkah pemecahan masalah, antara lain: mengidentifikasikan 3 (tiga) masalah yang sering dihadapi perusahaan dalam hal pengontrolan aliran kerja, mendefinisikan konsep baru dan 6 (enam) ciri khas dari CWW, serta menguraikan 7 (tujuh) manfaat dari penerapan CWW, yang pada akhirnya akan dibuktikan melalui implementasi dengan mengambil studi kasus pada Perguruan Tinggi Raharja. Dengan adanya CWW, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas kecepata proses dan pertukaran informasi, meningkatkan self monitoring, constant reminding dan early warning bagi karyawan guna meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan, juga lebih efisien dalam melakukan manajemen informasi.

Seiring berjalannya waktu maka informasi yang didapat akan semakin meningkat, tetapi informasi tersebut belum dapat terekam dan tersimpan dengan baik kedalam sebuah history sistem, dimana dapat merekam dan menyimpan seluruh informasi yang lama ataupun yang baru serta mampu memberikan informasi dari waktu ke waktu, walaupun informasi tersebut telah lampau, manajemen dapat menggunakan sistem tersebut guna membantu proses evaluasi strategis manajemen. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, dibutuhkan suatu metodologi yang disebut Periodic Historical System (PHS). PHS didefinisikan sebagai teknik pengumpulan, pengintegrasian dan penyimpanan data yang bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi manajemen yang akurat dari waktu ke waktu serta bermanfaat untuk evaluasi manajemen dalam pengambilan keputusan. Diidentifikasikan 5 (lima) masalah yang timbul pada sistem informasi, mendefinisikan metode baru yang disebut PHS, menentukan 4 (empat) ciri khas dari PHS, merancang algoritma PHS, serta menguraikan 5 (lima) manfaat dari penerapan PHS. Aplikasi juga diurai dengan rincian database yang diperlukan serta flowchart diagram. Dengan metodologi PHS ini dapat menjadi sebuah evaluasi terkini dalam mendukung kepentingan manajemen dalam pengambilan keputusan yang akurat.
