Abstract

THE ABILITY TO SOLVE THE STORY QUESTIONS IN LEARNING MATHEMATICS WITH PROBLEM BASED LEARNING MODEL IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Abstract This study aimed to investigate the ability to solve the story questions in learning mathematics with problem based learning model in elementary school. This research was a quasi experimental research with the research design used is Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The sample was determined by cluster random sampling technique. The sample in this research was a class V SDN 03 2x11 Enam Lingkung and SDN 12 2x11 Enam Lingkung. The results of this study obtained the average value of experimental class using Problem Based Learning model is 76 higher than the control class using conventional learning 67.2. Based on the results of hypothesis test calculation obtained tcount of 2.17 and ttable with a significant level of 0.05 and dk 48 is 2.01 indicates that thitung> ttabel, so H0 rejected and Ha can be accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the ability to solve the story questions in learning with problem based learning model in elementary school gave significant results. Key words: model problem based learning, ability to solve the story questions

Abstract

The objective of this study is to find out the effect of using the strategy of directed reading thinking activity (DRTA) on the reading comprehension ability of 5th grade students in an elementary school. The type of research used in this study is in the form of   quasi-experimental design. The research design of this study is the non-equivalent posttest-only control group design. The research was conducted at SDN 15 Padang Sarai, Kota Padang. Based on the post-test results, the average value of reading comprehension ability of the control class is 71,18. The control class was treated with a conventional learning method. Through the implementation of the Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) strategy, the average value of reading comprehension ability in the experimental class is 80,30. Based on the hypothesis test and by using the t- test with significant level   it was obtained that the =  and   and with the    the H1 is therefore, accepted and  H0 is rejected.. thus, it is concluded that the directed reading thinking activity (DRTA) strategy significantly affects the reading comprehension ability the 5th grade students  Keyword: Strategy DRTA, Reading comprehension Ability

Abstract

The study is intended to describe the impact that application of the basea learning project (project) on learning integrated thematic results in elementary schools is quantitative In the form of quasy experimentation des ign with the non equnalent control group design. Technique Sampling of the chuster random sampling. The research subject is a student student of the visdn zero-one class, a city of wasteland. Research shows: the average pretest/experimental class that applies learning using the model project based learning is 50.42 and the average study posttest for experimental class testing is 85.76. Whereas the study in the control class the results of pretesr learning are 64.4 and the average learning results after cataloging using a conventional approach have a postest 69.19. Based on the hypothesis test done with test t, acquired t'= 6.42 > td2.0096. Thus the uodel project rased leatuing has hada significant impact on learning integrated tenatik in elementary school.

Abstract

The purpose of research is to know the influence of Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education approach (PMRI) towards the understanding of the concept of data presentation learners in class V elementary school Gugus 1 West Padang, Padang city on 2018/2019 school year. The research is a Quasi Ekspermental Design. The data analysis technique used is t-test. Based on the results obtained by the average value postest understanding of the concept of presenting data by using PMRI approach in the experiment group is 90.37 and control group using conventional learning is 75, 67. This means the experimental group was higher than the control group. From the result of calculation of t t-test obtained Tcount 3.0561 while the T-table with a significant status of 0.05 and df = 32 is 1.69389. Means Tcount > Ttable so that Ha is accepted. Thus, there is a significant influence of Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education approach for understanding of the concept of presenting data in class V elementary school. Keywords: Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education Approach, Concept Training
