Abstract

The choice of transportation mode is influenced by various travel characteristics and individuals’ socio-economic factors. This study employed an observational method followed by multiple linear regression analysis to identify the factors affecting mode choice, as well as a binary logit model to estimate the probability of selecting each mode. Data were collected through a questionnaire survey of 296 respondents. The results indicate that land transportation modes (public buses and minibuses) were more commonly chosen by female respondents, aged ≤30 years, with a high school education, who were students, had a monthly income of ≤Rp3,000,000, travel costs of ≤Rp300,000, and travel times of ≥3 hours. In contrast, air transportation tended to be chosen by male respondents, aged >30 years, holding a bachelor's degree, employed as civil servants, and earning more than Rp3,000,000, with the main reason being comfort despite the higher travel cost (>Rp300,000). The regression analysis showed that gender, education level, monthly income, travel cost, and travel time significantly influenced transportation mode choice. The binary logit model estimated a 60% probability for choosing air transportation and 40% for land transportation. These findings provide valuable input for transportation planners in formulating policies to improve accessibility and the quality of transportation services.

Abstract

The world of education is becoming increasingly advanced, requiring teachers to continuously innovate in order to meet the challenges of our times, particularly the growing competition at individual, societal, national, and international levels. So in this case, as a PAI teacher in particular, I feel responsible for this reality so that a teacher must be able to analyze learning as much as possible properly and correctly. In this case the study aims to analyze the level of validation of a multiple-choice test instrument that was tested at SDS Muhammadiyah 101243 Sipirok. The purpose of this study is to find out whether the questions or tests presented to students at each time of exams, such as mid-semester (MID) scores, semester exams, final school exams, and others, are appropriate in accordance with the basic competencies or learning syllabus that is given or designed. Abstract

Meningkatkan pemahaman tentang Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) sangat krusial, terutama bagi pekerja yang terlibat dalam lingkungan kerja berisiko tinggi seperti proses pengelasan. Risiko kecelakaan di sektor ini tidak hanya berpotensi merusak material, tetapi juga dapat menyebabkan cedera serius hingga mengancam nyawa. Salah satu tantangan utama yang dihadapi oleh mitra dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah rendahnya tingkat kesadaran dan pengetahuan terkait keselamatan kerja, khususnya dalam bidang pengelasan. Untuk itu, pelatihan mengenai pengenalan dan penerapan K3 perlu dilakukan secara terstruktur guna membentuk tenaga kerja yang sehat, aman, dan profesional. Program pelatihan ini menyasar warga Desa Balun dan dilaksanakan melalui beberapa tahapan, mulai dari persiapan, pelaksanaan, hingga evaluasi. Materi yang disampaikan mencakup prinsip dasar K3 dalam pekerjaan pengelasan dan praktik penggunaan alat pelindung diri. Seluruh proses dipersiapkan dengan matang agar pelatihan berjalan efektif. Harapannya, kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya keselamatan kerja, mengurangi potensi kecelakaan, dan menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang lebih aman dan produktif di sektor pengelasan.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the capacity of managing zakat, infaq, sadaqah, waqf, and social funds at Pondok Pesantren Al-Ihsan Riau. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive-participatory approach, in which the implementing team was directly involved in the mentoring process. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included the pesantren leaders, zakat and waqf unit managers, senior students, and beneficiary communities.The results show that the mentoring activities improved the administrators’ understanding and skills in administration, transparency, and accountability of social fund management. In addition, the program encouraged the participation of students and the community in practicing professional management of funds oriented toward community empowerment. In conclusion, mentoring in the management of zakat, infaq, sadaqah, waqf, and social funds at the pesantren contributed positively to strengthening sustainable sharia financial governance and generated significant social impacts for the surrounding community.

Abstract

This study explores the resilience and adaptation strategies of the Kerinci Indigenous community in preserving their cultural heritage amidst modernization. Using a qualitative ethnographic approach, data were collected through participatory observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Thirty key informants, including traditional leaders, community figures, and government representatives, were purposively selected. Thematic analysis revealed that the Kerinci community’s resilience is rooted in a strong social structure supported by religious principles (adat bersendi Syarak, Syarak bersendi Kitabullah) and cultural diversity, serving as essential social capital. The community balances tradition and modernity by strengthening cultural education, revitalizing traditional practices, fostering partnerships, utilizing local resources, and promoting environmental awareness. These strategies ensure the sustainability of their cultural heritage while adapting to technological and social changes. The findings offer valuable insights for Indigenous communities worldwide in navigating modernization while preserving their cultural identity. The Kerinci community demonstrates unique resilience by merging traditional and modern elements. They embrace technological innovations, traditional arts, and skill development, maintaining a balanced integration of old and new values. This structured resilience model highlights their ability to adapt without losing cultural authenticity. The study’s findings are expected to serve as a reference for broader Indigenous communities in developing preservation strategies and adaptation mechanisms. By doing so, the cultural heritage of the Kerinci Indigenous community, and others like it, can remain safeguarded, sustainable, and transmissible to future generations. This research underscores the importance of combining traditional values with modern approaches to ensure cultural sustainability in a rapidly changing world.

Abstract

In the era of globalization, the education system is faced with the challenge of preparing learners not only to meet the needs of the job market but also to preserve local cultural identity. Locally based wisdom learning is an approach that integrates local values and knowledge into the content and learning process. This research utilizes a qualitative approach to describe the strategies for implementing locally based wisdom learning. The results of the research indicate that this approach can be applied through various strategies, such as project-based learning, discovery learning, and the integration of local wisdom values into the learning content. Locally based wisdom learning has several advantages, including helping students understand academic concepts by relating them to the local cultural context, instilling local cultural values, and encouraging students to appreciate and preserve local culture. Thus, this approach offers an effective solution to the challenges of globalization while maintaining cultural diversity.

Abstract

Sambungan tube to tubesheet pada heat exchanger berperan penting dalam menjamin kinerja dan keandalan operasi. Variasi kuat arus pengelasan Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) memengaruhi heat input yang berdampak pada struktur mikro, struktur makro, dan sifat mekanik sambungan. Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh arus 110 A, 130 A, dan 150 A pada sambungan tube SA-213 TP316L ke tubesheet SA-240 TP316L setelah tube expansion sebesar 8% sesuai standar TEMA edisi ke-11. Pengujian meliputi uji mikro, makro, dan kekerasan metode Vickers pada enam zona. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kenaikan arus meningkatkan heat input, memengaruhi lebar Heat Affected Zone (HAZ) dan morfologi butir. Arus 150 A menghasilkan fusi sempurna tanpa cacat makro, memperhalus butir pada zona las, serta memberikan kekerasan tertinggi 357,4 Kgf/mm2 pada area of expand, sedangkan kekerasan terendah 182,0 Kgf/mm2 tercatat pada base metal tube (110 A). Peningkatan kekerasan weld metal dari 200,8 Kgf/mm2 menjadi 225,8 Kgf/mm2 menandakan kontribusi heat input optimal dalam pembentukan butir halus. Nilai tinggi pada area of expand disebabkan strain hardening akibat proses ekspansi. Pemilihan arus optimal terbukti penting untuk integritas sambungan dan sifat mekanik yang baik.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to determine the effect of ZPT Hantu and Fertilizer Gromore on the growth of citrus plant grafting (Citrus sp). The experimental design used in this study was a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with two factors, namely ZPT Hantu and Fertilizer Growmore. The results of statistical analysis showed that the ZPT Hantu treatment on the growth of shoot height at the age of 5 weeks, 7 weeks, 9 weeks and 11 weeks, stem diameter parameters at 5 weeks, 7 weeks, 9 weeks, the number of stalks at the age of 5 weeks, 7 weeks. significant effect on thebut diameter of 11 Weeks After Planting and leaf area parameters of 11 Weeks After Planting. The results of statistical analysis showed that. Growmore fertilizer was applied to the parameters of shoot height at the age of 5 weeks, 7 weeks, 9 weeks and 11 weeks, stem diameter at 5 weeks, 7 weeks, 9 weeks and 11 weeks, the number of leaf stalks at 5 Weeks After Planting, 7 Weeks After Planting, 9 Weeks After Planting and 11 Weeks After Planting, the parameter of leaf area at 11 Weeks After Planting showed no significant effect. The results of statistical analysis showed that the interaction between the two treatments showed aninsignificant effect on the parameters of bud height, stem diameter, number of stalks and leaf area.

Abstract

The use of lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) in the production of tea bags in the first ecotourism village in North Sulawesi Province is an innovative step to boost the local economy and support environmental sustainability. This study aims to explore the quality of lemongrass tea bags, community acceptance, economic impact, and environmental aspects of this initiative. The results show that lemongrass tea bags have an aroma and taste that is liked by 85% of respondents, as well as a high antioxidant content. The local community showed great enthusiasm, with 70% of farmers interested in producing tea bags as an additional source of income. Farmers' income increased by about 30% within six months after training, and this product also supports environmental sustainability by reducing pesticide use. Effective marketing strategies and promotion through social media and local festivals are proposed to increase product visibility. This initiative not only provides economic benefits but also strengthens social solidarity and community pride. Community towards   their local. Thus, the use of lemongrass in the manufacture of tea bags has the potential to become an icon of ecotourism villages that support economic growth and environmental sustainability in North Sulawesi.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan industri kafe kopi di Kota Padang mengalami peningkatan seiring dengan tren konsumsi kopi yang semakin populer, khususnya di kalangan generasi muda. Kondisi ini menuntut pelaku usaha kafe untuk memahami karakteristikkonsumennya untuk meningkatkan daya saing dan memepertahankan eksistensi usaha. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik demografi konsumen kafe kopi di Kota Padang serta merumuskan strategi pemasaran yang sesuai untuk pengembangan usaha kafe kopi. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei terhadap 109 responden yang aktif mengunjungi kafe minimal satu kali dalam sebulan. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis secara deskriptif menggunakan bantuan perangkat lunak statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas konsumen adalah perempuan, berusia 26–35 tahun, berstatus pelajar/mahasiswa, memiliki pendidikan tinggi, dan berpendapatan di bawah Rp3.000.000. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa kafe kopi tidak hanya menjadi tempat konsumsi, tetapi juga ruang sosial dan gaya hidup. Oleh karena itu, strategi pemasaran yang disarankan mencakup penyesuaian harga, penyediaan fasilitas yang mendukung produktivitas, serta pendekatan digital yang komunikatif. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar pengembangan layanan dan strategi pemasaran yang lebih efektif bagi pelaku usaha kafe di Kota Padang. The growth of the coffee shop industry in Padang City has increased in line with the rising trend of coffee consumption, particularly among younger generations. This condition requires cafe business actors to understand the characteristics of their consumers to increase competitiveness and maintain the existence of their business. This study aims to analyze the demographic characteristics of coffee shop consumers in Padang City and to formulate appropriate marketing strategies for coffee shop business development. A quantitative approach was employed through a survey method involving 109 respondents who actively visited coffee shops at least once a month. Data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed descriptively using statistical software. The results show that most consumers are female, aged 26–35, students, with higher education backgrounds, and earn less than IDR 3,000,000 per month. These findings indicate that coffee shops serve not only as places for coffee consumption but also as social and lifestyle spaces. Therefore, the recommended marketing strategies include competitive pricing, providing facilities that support productivity, and adopting a communicative digital marketing approach. This study is expected to serve as a reference for developing more effective services and marketing strategies for coffee shop entrepreneurs in Padang City
