Peningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat dalam mengurangi risiko penyakit yang ditularkan nyamuk, seperti demam berdarah, malaria, dan chikungunya perlu dilakukan melalui sosialisasi. Pendekatan berbasis komunitas menggunakan metode ovitrap digunakan untuk mengedukasi warga mengenai hal ini. Selama satu bulan pengamatan, metode ini berhasil menunjukkan penurunan signifikan jumlah jentik nyamuk dari minggu ke minggu. Ovitrap, sebagai alat sederhana, memutus siklus hidup nyamuk dengan menjebak telur di wadah khusus berisi air. Selain pengenalan metode, pelatihan diberikan untuk memaksimalkan hasil penerapannya. Monitoring berkala dan kolaborasi dengan kader kesehatan serta pemerintah setempat memungkinkan evaluasi berkelanjutan terhadap keberhasilan program ini. Hasil analisis menunjukkan rata-rata jumlah jentik nyamuk menurun secara konsisten, yang membuktikan efektivitas metode ini dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang lebih sehat dan bebas nyamuk. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat direplikasi di wilayah lain sebagai upaya berkelanjutan dalam pencegahan penyakit berbasis lingkungan.

Industri manufaktur memainkan peran penting dalam meningkatkan perekonomian nasional. Salah satu metode penyambungan logam yang saat ini digunakan adalah pengelasan arc stud welding. Pengelasan stud sendiri digunakan untuk pengelasan baut yang berguna untuk menyambung bagian pada suatu kontruksi baja. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan variasi parameter kuat arus 200A, 400A, dan 600A dengan waktu pengelasan 1 detik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan parameter terbaik untuk mengetahui kedalaman penetrasi, heat affected zone dan zona fusi sambungan pengelasan pada material A36, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan parameter yang ideal. Hasil pengujian makro menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada cacat seperti retak pada dasar logam, HAZ atau weld metal, atau cacat lainnya seperti persyaratan penerimaan ASME sec. IX. Selain itu, karena tidak ada masukan panas yang maksimal pada area dasar logam A36 dan SS 304, hasil pengujian mikro tidak menunjukkan perubahan yang cukup signifikan. Pada pengujian hardness daerah weld metal memperoleh nilai tertinggi, dengan nilai rata-rata terendah 192,85 HVN pada spesimen stud 1, dan nilai rata-rata tertinggi pada spesimen stud 3 adalah 201,59 HVN. Pada pengujian torsi menujukan bahwa variasi kuat arus dan waktu pengelasan mempengaruhi besar nilainya uji torsi, pada spesimen 9 menunjukan mencapai kekuatan hingga 80 Nm.

Acute Respiratory Tract Infection or ISPA is an acute infection that attacks one or more parts of the respiratory tract starting from the nose to the alveoli, ISPA is one of the most common diseases suffered by children and toddlers. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between nutritional status and the availability of home ventilation with the incidence of ISPA in children aged 1-5 years. The design used in the study was descriptive analytic with a cross-sectional approach, namely a research approach that was carried out simulatively or carried out at the same time then processed and analyzed with the Sample taken in this study amounted to 51 samples, the sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The instrument used was an observation sheet regarding the relationship between nutritional status and the availability of home ventilation with the incidence of ISPA in children. The results of the study showed a relationship between nutritional status and the availability of home ventilation and the incidence of acute respiratory infections (ARI) in children aged 1-5 years. The criteria were 7 (13.7%), 24 (47.1%) undernourished, 15 (29.4%), and 5 (9.8%) overnourished. Furthermore, 17 (33.3%) had suboptimal ventilation and 34 (66.7%) had ideal ventilation.

Abstract. This study aims to describe the inclusion and exclusion of social actors in online gambling news coverage on Kompas.com using a critical discourse analysis approach assisted by corpora. By utilizing this approach, the language patterns used in the coverage are systematically analyzed to explore how the issue of online gambling is framed by the media. The findings reveal that the coverage predominantly features the government, such as "Budi Arie", in a positive role as an active actor in the fight against online gambling (inclusion). The government is portrayed as the key and dominant force in addressing this issue. In contrast, the online gambling perpetrators and victims are more frequently ignored or concealed (exclusion). The perpetrators are depicted as destructive agents responsible for the issue, while victims are often portrayed as suffering individuals who require external intervention. The language use that emphasizes the government's role highlights efforts to reinforce their legitimacy in addressing this social problem. Thus, the analysis shows that Kompas.com's news coverage tends to present a discourse that supports the government's role in tackling online gambling, while minimizing the representation of perpetrators and victims.

The choice of transportation mode is influenced by various travel characteristics and individuals’ socio-economic factors. This study employed an observational method followed by multiple linear regression analysis to identify the factors affecting mode choice, as well as a binary logit model to estimate the probability of selecting each mode. Data were collected through a questionnaire survey of 296 respondents. The results indicate that land transportation modes (public buses and minibuses) were more commonly chosen by female respondents, aged ≤30 years, with a high school education, who were students, had a monthly income of ≤Rp3,000,000, travel costs of ≤Rp300,000, and travel times of ≥3 hours. In contrast, air transportation tended to be chosen by male respondents, aged >30 years, holding a bachelor's degree, employed as civil servants, and earning more than Rp3,000,000, with the main reason being comfort despite the higher travel cost (>Rp300,000). The regression analysis showed that gender, education level, monthly income, travel cost, and travel time significantly influenced transportation mode choice. The binary logit model estimated a 60% probability for choosing air transportation and 40% for land transportation. These findings provide valuable input for transportation planners in formulating policies to improve accessibility and the quality of transportation services.

The world of education is becoming increasingly advanced, requiring teachers to continuously innovate in order to meet the challenges of our times, particularly the growing competition at individual, societal, national, and international levels. So in this case, as a PAI teacher in particular, I feel responsible for this reality so that a teacher must be able to analyze learning as much as possible properly and correctly. In this case the study aims to analyze the level of validation of a multiple-choice test instrument that was tested at SDS Muhammadiyah 101243 Sipirok. The purpose of this study is to find out whether the questions or tests presented to students at each time of exams, such as mid-semester (MID) scores, semester exams, final school exams, and others, are appropriate in accordance with the basic competencies or learning syllabus that is given or designed. Meningkatkan pemahaman tentang Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) sangat krusial, terutama bagi pekerja yang terlibat dalam lingkungan kerja berisiko tinggi seperti proses pengelasan. Risiko kecelakaan di sektor ini tidak hanya berpotensi merusak material, tetapi juga dapat menyebabkan cedera serius hingga mengancam nyawa. Salah satu tantangan utama yang dihadapi oleh mitra dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah rendahnya tingkat kesadaran dan pengetahuan terkait keselamatan kerja, khususnya dalam bidang pengelasan. Untuk itu, pelatihan mengenai pengenalan dan penerapan K3 perlu dilakukan secara terstruktur guna membentuk tenaga kerja yang sehat, aman, dan profesional. Program pelatihan ini menyasar warga Desa Balun dan dilaksanakan melalui beberapa tahapan, mulai dari persiapan, pelaksanaan, hingga evaluasi. Materi yang disampaikan mencakup prinsip dasar K3 dalam pekerjaan pengelasan dan praktik penggunaan alat pelindung diri. Seluruh proses dipersiapkan dengan matang agar pelatihan berjalan efektif. Harapannya, kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya keselamatan kerja, mengurangi potensi kecelakaan, dan menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang lebih aman dan produktif di sektor pengelasan.

This community service activity aims to enhance the capacity of managing zakat, infaq, sadaqah, waqf, and social funds at Pondok Pesantren Al-Ihsan Riau. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive-participatory approach, in which the implementing team was directly involved in the mentoring process. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included the pesantren leaders, zakat and waqf unit managers, senior students, and beneficiary communities.The results show that the mentoring activities improved the administrators’ understanding and skills in administration, transparency, and accountability of social fund management. In addition, the program encouraged the participation of students and the community in practicing professional management of funds oriented toward community empowerment. In conclusion, mentoring in the management of zakat, infaq, sadaqah, waqf, and social funds at the pesantren contributed positively to strengthening sustainable sharia financial governance and generated significant social impacts for the surrounding community.

This study explores the resilience and adaptation strategies of the Kerinci Indigenous community in preserving their cultural heritage amidst modernization. Using a qualitative ethnographic approach, data were collected through participatory observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Thirty key informants, including traditional leaders, community figures, and government representatives, were purposively selected. Thematic analysis revealed that the Kerinci community’s resilience is rooted in a strong social structure supported by religious principles (adat bersendi Syarak, Syarak bersendi Kitabullah) and cultural diversity, serving as essential social capital. The community balances tradition and modernity by strengthening cultural education, revitalizing traditional practices, fostering partnerships, utilizing local resources, and promoting environmental awareness. These strategies ensure the sustainability of their cultural heritage while adapting to technological and social changes. The findings offer valuable insights for Indigenous communities worldwide in navigating modernization while preserving their cultural identity. The Kerinci community demonstrates unique resilience by merging traditional and modern elements. They embrace technological innovations, traditional arts, and skill development, maintaining a balanced integration of old and new values. This structured resilience model highlights their ability to adapt without losing cultural authenticity. The study’s findings are expected to serve as a reference for broader Indigenous communities in developing preservation strategies and adaptation mechanisms. By doing so, the cultural heritage of the Kerinci Indigenous community, and others like it, can remain safeguarded, sustainable, and transmissible to future generations. This research underscores the importance of combining traditional values with modern approaches to ensure cultural sustainability in a rapidly changing world.

In the era of globalization, the education system is faced with the challenge of preparing learners not only to meet the needs of the job market but also to preserve local cultural identity. Locally based wisdom learning is an approach that integrates local values and knowledge into the content and learning process. This research utilizes a qualitative approach to describe the strategies for implementing locally based wisdom learning. The results of the research indicate that this approach can be applied through various strategies, such as project-based learning, discovery learning, and the integration of local wisdom values into the learning content. Locally based wisdom learning has several advantages, including helping students understand academic concepts by relating them to the local cultural context, instilling local cultural values, and encouraging students to appreciate and preserve local culture. Thus, this approach offers an effective solution to the challenges of globalization while maintaining cultural diversity.
