Abstract

The Taekwondo sports coaching system necessitates effective organisational management. However, managing a sports organisation unquestionably demands a suitable and accurate concept, one that will ultimately allow the sports organisation to accomplish its objectives. The purpose of this study was to examine the basic interpretation of historical aspects, development systems, management resources, and achievement development. The research method used in this study is qualitative descriptive research, employing a phenomenological research design. The research sample consists of 5 informants, including 1 club founder, 2 club executives, and 2 athlete coaches, selected for direct interviews. Data analysis involves (i) introduction and organization; (ii) coding and reduction; (iii) interpretation and representation. The findings revealed that the coaching system, management resources and Taekwondo achievement development at the Mahameru Club in Sukoharjo Regency were functioning effectively. The limitations of this study are the sample used and the scope of the study which is only one area. As a result, future research should compare and broaden the scope of the study by investigating the factors that influence the implementation of the coaching system, management resources, and achievement development, such as psychological, sociological, and environmental aspects for athletes. The conclusion of this research indicates that this research makes a notable contribution by delving into the uncharted territory of Taekwondo sports coaching at Mahameru Club. It not only fills a knowledge gap but also furnishes practical guidance for the improvement of coaching strategies.

Abstract

Background Problems: The lack of variety in exercises applied by coaches makes players feel bored, so they must be given training variations by looking at training methods that significantly improve basic tennis technique skills between game training methods and drills. Research Objectives: This study aims to determine differences in the effect of game and drill training methods on improving basic tennis technical skills based on the age groups of 10-12 years and 13-15 years. Methods: In this context, the method used was experimental research with a 2x2 factorial design. The sample consisted of 24 male athletes in Lampung who were separated into 4 groups. Findings and Results: (i) There are differences in the effect of game practice and drill methods on improving basic tennis technique skills. (ii) There is a difference in improving basic tennis technique skills between the age groups of 10-12 years and 13-15 years. (iii) There is an influence of interaction between training methods and age groups on improving basic tennis technique skills. Conclusion: The age group 10-12 years is more appropriate if given the game training method, and the age group 13-15 years is more appropriate if given the practice training method. The findings of this study provide an important contribution by highlighting the importance of both applied training methods for basic tennis technique. This training method is also adapted for age-based characteristics. Therefore, the recommendation to use game and drill training methods as part of tennis training can help athletes cope with intense playing conditions. Based on the analysis above, the novelty of the research developed by the researcher was two exercise methods compared, two age groups that were sampled, and research instruments using International Tennis Number (ITN) On Court Assessment. Researchers used game and drill training methods that could affect the sample after treatment. Different from previous research, the sample used was male athletes aged 10-15 years.

Abstract

Brantas River is the largest river in East Java, flowing from the city of Batu upstream until downstream in Surabaya and Sidoarjo. This river plays a crucial role as a vital natural resource that supports the various needs of the surrounding communities. This study serves as a preliminary investigation with the primary aim of assessing the water quality in three different zones of the Brantas River: the upper, middle, and downstream sites. Additionally, this research includes a review to identify the organisms exposed to water pollution in the Brantas River. The study was conducted from November 2020 to April 2023, utilizing an exploratory observational method at 19 observation stations. The data obtained was subsequently analyzed using a descriptive approach. Various parameters were observed, including pH (a measure of acidity or alkalinity), hardness (the concentration of calcium and magnesium ions), alkalinity (the capacity of water to neutralize acids), nitrate, nitrite, fluoride, and heavy metals such as lead (Pb), copper (Cu), and iron (Fe). The research findings indicate that in several upstream areas of the Brantas River, there were elevated hardness, nitrate, lead (Pb), and iron (Fe) that exceeded the established water quality standards. In the middle section of the river, water quality was generally satisfactory, although a few locations exhibited slightly elevated levels of lead (Pb). Meanwhile, all locations downstream of the Brantas River demonstrated water quality that exceeded the prescribed standards. After a literature review, it was discovered that various biota in the Brantas River have been exposed to pollutants, including fish species and plants like Ipomea aquatica and Eichhornia crassipes. Therefore, it is necessary and urgent to improve water management and monitoring plants and biota in the Brantas River to preserve organisms in aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the extent to which the use of e-money, e-wallet and also the use of ATM machines in Indonesia has a big impact on the economic behavior of modern society. Almost all Indonesian people spend their shopping time by taking advantage of advanced technology, namely by using online payment systems, for example, for transportation users such as trains, toll road users, they mostly use e-money, then people who are used to shopping at market places often use e-money. wallet for transactions, or just to buy credit or pay electricity bills. The existence of ATM machines at almost every point in Indonesia really means that the circulation of electronic money is very large, but in reality there are still many people in our society who do not have money or have low financial capabilities. This is a problem. Therefore, the author tries to analyze this using qualitative descriptive methods, literature reviews and/or literature studies that are relevant to the problem theme related to the impact of the widespread distribution of e-money, e-wallets and ATM machines in the community. One of the positive impacts of using electronic money is to prevent inflation and reduce the circulation of paper money, people also become safer without having to carry paper money everywhere, however education on the use of electronic money among the public must also be improved, considering that ease of transactions can also cause society is becoming increasingly consumerist, and is also very susceptible to hackers if personal data leaks occur. A nation that wants to be independent and advanced on an economic scale must be open to current developments, including being open to an online financial system, but the government must also have control and balancing regarding these regulations and the community's economic circulation, so that there are no social gaps between communities from an economic perspective.

Abstract

The revitalization efforts of Godean Market require its traders to relocate to Temporary Shelters (TPS). The large number of traders in Godean Market means that the traders are relocated to three TPS locations, two of which are: in Sidokarto and Hobbies Market. However, conflict occurs when traders are dissatisfied with the relocation policy to the three TPS. The approach used in this study is qualitative with a case study method. The case study referred to in this study is the socio-economic impact on traders affected by the revitalization of Godean Market in two study locations. The results of the research found in the field, the response of traders to the relocation policy of Godean Market to two Temporary Shelters (TPS) locations, Sidokarto Market and Hobbies Market, is classified as less than satisfactory. This is due to minimal facilities and not being made in one area. The socio-economic impact of the TPS is that the relationship between fellow traders is closer and closer than before. Another impact is that traders feel that there is a change in place/plot that is different from before which was so narrow and uncomfortable. This is because the government divides places/plots based on the zoning system. There are public facilities that have been damaged but have not been repaired. Public facilities provided by the local government in both TPS are free but some are paid. Traders who want a place must pay a comfort fee. The change in trading location has decreased the income of traders by 30%-70%. However, traders are learning to utilize technology by selling online so that they can earn income of up to 20-25%

Abstract

The general background maintenance of public order and community peace is a critical aspect of local governance, particularly in urban settings where diverse populations coexist. Specific background reveals that the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) plays a significant role in upholding these values, yet there is limited research examining their effectiveness in specific districts. Knowledge gap persists in understanding the comprehensive functions and impacts of Satpol PP in maintaining public order within local communities. This study aims to analyze and describe the role of the Satpol PP in implementing public order and community peace in a specific district. Results indicate that the Satpol PP engages in various activities, including community outreach, training for local volunteers, and proactive measures to prevent disturbances, demonstrating a multi-faceted approach to their responsibilities. Novelty lies in the identification of active, participatory, and passive roles that the Satpol PP adopts, which offers a more nuanced understanding of their functions. Implications of this research suggest that strengthening the capacity of the Satpol PP could enhance community engagement and further improve public safety. By providing a detailed examination of their roles, this study contributes to the broader discourse on local governance and community development, offering insights that may inform policy and practice in similar contexts. Highlights: Active role in maintaining public order through various strategies. Community participation in reporting issues to the Satpol PP. Training programs to enhance the capabilities of Linmas and Satpol PP personnel. Keywords: Satpol, Community, Public Order, Participation, Capacity Building
