Abstract

Chemistry learning, especially the topic of hybridization, is often considered difficult by students because the concepts are abstract and cannot be clearly visualized through 2D textbook images. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using Student Worksheets (LKPD) accompanied by a Hybridization Kit (Hy-KIT) through the Discovery Learning model. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The sample (N=72) was selected using purposive sampling and consisted of a control class (36 students) that used conventional worksheets (LKS) and an experimental class (36 students) that used LKPD with Hy-KIT. The research method used was a quasi-experimental design with a Nonrandomized Control Pretest–Posttest design. Data were collected through validated essay-type pretest and posttest questions. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of the 3D Hy-KIT media, which provides a real visualization of orbital shapes, with the Discovery Learning model. This combination serves as an alternative learning tool to significantly enhance students’ understanding of this abstract material. The results showed that both classes experienced improvement, but the experimental class demonstrated higher learning gains than the control class. The Effect Size (ES) calculation produced a value of 0.6, which falls into the medium category, indicating that the LKPD accompanied by Hy-KIT is effective in improving students’ understanding of hybridization concepts.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of solvency, profitability, and public accounting firm (PAF) size on audit delay, with the going concern audit opinion as a moderating variable. The sample consists of property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2024 period. Secondary data were obtained from annual reports, financial statements, and audit reports published by the IDX. Panel data regression analysis was conducted using EViews software. The results show that solvency, profitability, and PAF size have positive and significant effects on audit delay. Furthermore, the going concern audit opinion moderates the relationship between financial characteristics and audit delay with varying effects. Specifically, the going concern audit opinion weakens the effect of solvency on audit delay but is not statistically significant. In contrast, it significantly strengthens the positive effect of profitability on audit delay. Meanwhile, the moderating effect of the going concern audit opinion on the relationship between PAF size and audit delay is negative but insignificant. These findings highlight the importance of financial characteristics and auditor-related factors in explaining audit delay in the property and real estate sector.

Abstract

Abstract

This article analyzes the role of the Arabic language as a guardian of tradition and a cultural medium of Islam in Indonesia through a synthesis of historical and theoretical perspectives. Arabic has served as an essential foundation of Islamic civilization, spreading to the Nusantara through trade routes as early as the 9th century and undergoing acculturation with local cultures. Its development occurred gradually, beginning with its liturgical function among early Muslim communities, followed by administrative and scholarly uses during the era of Islamic kingdoms, and later its institutionalization through pesantren and modern educational institutions. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach based on a literature review to interpret historical texts, religious sources, and scholarly works related to the development of Arabic. The analysis is carried out using content analysis techniques to identify historical patterns, social functions, and the symbolic meanings of Arabic within Indonesian Muslim society. The findings indicate that Arabic functions not only as a means of communication but also as symbolic capital that shapes collective identity through rituals, arts, vocabulary, and cultural practices. In the era of globalization, Arabic faces challenges due to the dominance of global languages and traditional learning methods, yet it is also experiencing revitalization through digital technologies, social media, and the strengthening of academic and sharia economic fields. The study concludes that Arabic possesses strong resilience and continues to adapt to modern contexts, thus remaining a central medium for preserving tradition, transmitting knowledge, and reinforcing the religious identity of Indonesian Muslim communities.

Abstract

The social phenomenon within contemporary Muslim communities indicates that many families still neglect children’s fundamental rights, including education, financial support, and emotional care. This condition reflects a gap between the ideal values of Islamic teachings and their practical implementation in family life. This study aims to critically examine the interrelation between zakat fitrah (alms of purification), lineage (nasab), and the fulfillment of children’s rights from the perspective of Islamic Religious Education. Employing a qualitative approach with a library research design, this study applies content analysis to primary sources such as the Qur’an, Hadith, classical works of tafsir and fiqh, as well as secondary data from academic books, journals, and previous studies. The findings reveal that zakat fitrah possesses profound spiritual and social dimensions. It functions not only as an act of ritual purification but also as an instrument of social education that cultivates justice, empathy, and collective responsibility. Meanwhile, the concept of nasab serves as a moral and educational foundation within the family, emphasizing parental responsibility to fulfill children’s rights to love, protection, and moral guidance. The lack of understanding of these two concepts has weakened the family’s role as a moral and spiritual educational institution. Therefore, integrating the values of zakat fitrah and nasab into Islamic Religious Education is essential for developing a family-based educational paradigm grounded in raḥmah (compassion), ‘adl (justice), and amānah (responsibility).

Abstract

This article examines the fiqh-based interpretation of children’s rights after death and its implications for Islamic Religious Education. In Islamic jurisprudence, children who pass away retain certain rights that must be fulfilled by parents and the community, including ritual care such as bathing, shrouding, funeral prayer, burial, and the right to prayers and protection of dignity. However, in educational and social practices, the understanding of children’s posthumous rights is often limited to ritual aspects without exploring their educational values. This study employs a qualitative approach through library research by analyzing classical and contemporary fiqh sources as well as relevant literature on Islamic Religious Education. The findings reveal that the fiqh interpretation of children’s rights after death encompasses not only ritual obligations but also theological, moral, and pedagogical values that are essential to be integrated into Islamic education. The implications suggest that Islamic Religious Education should incorporate these fiqh concepts to cultivate empathy, responsibility, respect for human dignity, and awareness of the afterlife among learners. This study contributes to the enrichment of Islamic Religious Education by offering a value-based and character-oriented educational perspective.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills play an essential role in enabling students to understand scientific concepts and solve problems logically and reflectively. However, the 2022 PISA results indicate that Indonesian students still demonstrate low performance in this area, particularly in chemistry learning, which often emphasizes memorization rather than reasoning. This study aims to analyze the effect of an integrated Socio-Critical and Problem-Oriented approach on students’ critical thinking skills in green chemistry learning at State Senior High School 1 Sintang. This research employed a quantitative method with a pre-experimental One Group Pretest–Posttest Design involving 30 students from class XC. Data were collected through classroom observations and critical thinking tests covering five indicators: interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, and explanation, and were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and t-tests. The findings reveal a significant improvement in students’ critical thinking skills after the implementation of the integrated approach. These results indicate that embedding socio-scientific and contextual environmental issues within problem-oriented green chemistry learning effectively enhances students’ critical thinking skills at the senior high school level.
