Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of risk, management quality, company size and bank liquidity on banking financial performance in the 2018-2022 period. This research uses multiple linear regression analysis methods on a sample of 20 banks selected purposively. Data was collected from banks' annual financial reports involving credit risk (NPL) , efficiency ratios (BOPO), company size (Ln total assets), liquidity ratios (LDR) and financial performance ratio (ROA) . The analysis results show that risk, especially credit risk, has a significant negative impact on financial performance. In contrast, management quality has a significant positive impact on financial performance. However, firm size and bank liquidity, although they have a positive impact on financial performance, are not significant in the context of this study. These findings provide insight into the factors that banks need to pay attention to to improve financial performance.

Abstract

This research investigates the dynamics of soybean agribusiness in East Java through the lens of crop productivity, farmer income, supporting infrastructure, and institutional performance. A sample of 150 participants representing diverse scales of farming and geographic regions was surveyed to gather insights. Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) was employed to analyze the relationships among variables. The study confirmed positive and significant associations between crop productivity and farmer income, supporting infrastructure and crop productivity, and supporting infrastructure and institutional performance. Discriminant validity was established, and model fit indices indicated the reliability of the proposed structural model. Hypothesis testing further validated the impact of the availability of supporting infrastructure, farmer income, and plant productivity on institutional performance. The findings offer practical insights for policymakers, farmers, and stakeholders to optimize soybean agribusiness in East Java.

Abstract

Researchers believe that government spending that is good, measurable, based on research, efficient and effective can increase the Human Development Index in terms of improving the quality of education, quality of health and other things which in the end can have a good impact on the Human Development Index. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the influence of government spending on the Human Development Index. Different from previous studies, this research adds the Gross Domestic Product variable as a moderating variable which is believed to strengthen the influence of the Independent variable on the Dependent variable. This research is quantitative research with an explanatory approach which uses previous research as a benchmark/reference for finding new variations. The data used in this research is secondary data originating from the annual report of the Central Statistics Agency from 2018-2023. The data used in this research were analyzed using the smart PLS 4.0 analysis tool. The result in this research show the Government Expenditure variable can have a positive relationship and a significant influence on the Human Growth Index variable because the P-Values value is positive and is below the significance level of 0.05, namely 0.023. Apart from that, researchers also believe that the Gross Domestic Product variable can strengthen the influence of the Government Expenditure variable on the Human Growth Index. The researcher's confidence can be proven from the results of the second row of the third table of the Path Coefficient which shows the direction of a positive relationship and a significant influence. This is indicated by the results of the second line of the Path Coefficient which shows that the P-Values value is below the 0.05 significance level, namely 0.023. This means that the Gross Domestic Product of each province in Indonesia is good, continues to be stable, and even continues to increase every year, which can make the influence of the government budget and government expenditure stronger so that it has a good impact on the Human Growth Index. Thus, the first and second hypotheses in this study can be accepted.

Abstract

Technological advances provide a number of benefits in various sectors, one of which is the financial sector. Technological advances in the financial sector or commonly known as financial digitalization have made data bookkeeping more effective, easily accessible, transparent, and made it easier for employees to carry out financial reports. Based on this, this research aims to analyze the role of financial digitalization in preventing corruption in Indonesia. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach, namely describing the meaning of technology, technological developments, the benefits of technology, its relationship with finance, and the benefits of digitalization of technology in preventing corruption in Indonesia. The data used by researchers in this article is secondary data, namely in the form of legislation, scientific articles, books, websites and other things that are usually used in every research. The researchers analyzed these data using the stages of data collection analysis, data reduction, data analysis, and drawing Conclusion. The result in this research show that the presence of financial digitalization at least has benefits in preventing corruption because of its transparency. With the digitalization of financial tenders, financial reporting, and other things that are transparent and do not endanger privacy, they can be accessed easily by all stake holders, supervisors, partner companies, internal company parties, and so on to find out the tender winner, continuity of the tender, until completion of the tender. Apart from that, if suspicious potential for corruption is found, it can be tracked easily. Because of this, anyone who has the intention to commit corruption will be discouraged.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of Human Development Index (HDI) and Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) on poverty in South Sulawesi Province using quantitative methods with multiple regression analysis techniques and panel data from 24 Districts/Cities. Results from SPSS version 26 indicate that HDI insignificantly affects poverty (p = 0.413, t = 0.821, β = 1.523), while GRDP significantly influences poverty (p = 0.000, t = 5.441, β = 0.978). These findings suggest that policymakers should consider GRDP growth to alleviate poverty, rather than relying solely on HDI. This research provides valuable insights for the South Sulawesi government to address poverty based on income levels, as reported by the South Sulawesi Central Bureau of Statistics, and to monitor HDI and GRDP trends annually.
