Abstract

This study aims to explore the strategies implemented by SMK YPF Bandung to enhance students' religious character. The school conducts regular activities, including Dhuha prayers and Surah Al-Kahfi recitations, but faces several challenges in their execution. Employing a qualitative case study approach, the researchers conducted interviews, observations, and document analysis, with school staff and students as primary data sources. Findings reveal that these routine activities not only serve as acts of worship but also function as character-building tools, fostering traits like discipline, responsibility, and leadership among students. However, the school encounters challenges, such as maintaining student discipline and consistency, limited facilities and infrastructure, varying levels of students’ Qur'anic reading proficiency, and environmental influences, all of which hinder character development efforts. The study concludes that consistent engagement in Dhuha prayers and Surah Al-Kahfi recitations positively impacts students’ development into individuals with integrity, well-prepared to enter the workforce with strong ethical and moral values. This research is limited by its focus on a single school, meaning that the findings may not fully represent conditions in other schools.

Abstract

Indonesia is known as a multicultural nation. This progress is a cultural property as well as prone to horizontal and vertical conflicts. One of the goals of Global Citizenship Education is peace and justice for global citizens. One area in Indonesia that has harmony in accordance with the vision of Global Citizenship Education is the City of Salatiga, Central Java Province. The research method used is qualitative using a case study approach. Based on research results, the people of Salatiga have been very concerned about religious and socio-cultural harmony since ancient times until now. In addition, a life of harmony is the implementation of UNESCO's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) program, namely programs of peace, justice and strong institutions. The strategy for increasing harmony is carried out by the community by establishing three civic sites, namely Pancasila Village, National Village and Harmony Village. Various socio-cultural activities are carried out by the community to increase the harmony around them. The difference between the three villages is that Pancasila Village was chosen because it has the characteristics of a fairly complete distribution of places of worship and there is a tradition of tolerance in the community. National Village was chosen because the villagers have an awareness of patriotism. While the Harmony Village was chosen because of the characteristics of the villagers living in harmony and religious conflicts rarely occur.

Abstract

Abstrak Berbagai isu-isu global yang terus menghantui negara-negara di dunia menjadi kekhawatiran bersama terutama berkenaan dengan eksistensi warga negaranya, Indoensia dan amerika memiliki kesamaan dalam penerapan pendidikan kewarganegaraannya hal tersebut dikarenakan Indonesia telah menggunakan beberapa sistem dan bahkan kurikulum pendidikan kewarganegaraan di amaerika. Berdasarkan kajian literatur yang ditemukan oleh penulis bahwa pendidikan kewarganegaraan di indoesia dan amerika telah ditemukan banyak kesamaan mulai pada kebijakan nasional dan konten kurikulum pendidikan kewarganegaraan di Amerika Serikat dan Indonesia yang dapat dinilai sebagai pendidikan kewarganegaraan yang mengarah lebih dekat ke dalam kontinum pendidikan kewarganegaraan maksimal. Abstract

Kecerdasan interpersonal siswa merupakan basis dari karakter siswa yang berkaitan dengan perilaku sosial siswa, Kecerdasan interpersonal siswa adalah kemampuan siswa untuk memahami dan berinteraksi dengan orang lain dengan efektif, sedangkan perilaku sosial siswa mencakup perilaku individu dalam hubungannya dengan orang lain di lingkungan sosial seperti kemampuan untuk berinteraksi, berkomunikasi, bergaul, dan bekerja sama dengan teman sekelas dalam pemecahan permasalahan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat kecerdasan interpersonal siswa sebagai basis karakter siswa sekolah menengah pertama di kota Makassar. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tiga sekolah menengah pertama di kota Makassar yaitu: 1) Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 3 Makassar, 2) Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 26 Makassar dan 3) Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 31 Makassar. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara penyebaran angket dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 162 siswa. Indikator kecerdasan interpersonal dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari: empati, komunikasi, kepemimpinan, kerjasama dan kesadaran sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan interpersonal siswa sekolah menengah pertama di kota Makassar berada pada kategori baik sebanyak 19 %, kategori sedang 35%, kategori cukup sebanyak 46%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan kecerdasan interpersonal siswa sekolah menengah pertama di kota Makassar perlu dilakukan.

Abstract

Bahan ajar memainkan peran penting dalam mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang telah direncanakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan bahan ajar Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dalam menumbuhkan karakter mandiri pada peserta didik. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian meliputi peserta didik dan Guru Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan di Sekolah Menengah Atas. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Adapun teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan bahan ajar pendidikan kewarganegaraan di Sekolah Menengah Atas dapat dilakukan melalui dua cara yaitu secara konvensional dan berbasis digital. Faktor yang mempengaruhi penggunaan bahan ajar pendidikan kewarganegaraan di Sekolah Menengah Atas dalam membentuk karakter kemandirian peserta didik yaitu (1) keterampilan guru yang baik dalam penggunaan bahan ajar digital maupun konvensional, (2) penggunaan pendekatan, strategi, model, atau media yang tepat dan relevan, (3) dan guru berperan sebagai fasilitator sekaligus mentor untuk membantu peserta didik mengembangkan karakter kemandirian dalan diri. Integrasi digital dalam bahan ajar pembelajaran pendidikan kewarganegaraan di Sekolah Menengah Atas memiliki dampak yang positif dibandingkan penggunaan bahan ajar secara konvensional dalam menumbuhkan karakter kemandirian pada peserta didik.

Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 telah mengubah cara hidup manusia di dunia. Mulai dari terjadinya percepatan teknologi, hingga perubahan pola interaksi manusia dari yang semula offline menjadi online. Perubahan signifikan terjadi pada Indonesia yaitu meningkatnya jumlah pengguna internet dan penggunaan media sosial dalam berinteraksi sehari-hari. Peningkatan angka pengguna internet di Indonesia ini memunculkan fenomena baru, yaitu keadaban digital. Dari interaksi digital tersebut, terdapat laporan Digital Civility Index (DCI) oleh Microsoft pada tahun 2020 mencatat bahwa warganet Indonesia paling tidak beradab di Kawasan Asia Tenggara.  Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan bagaimana interaksi warga negara di dunia digital dan memberikan gagasan meningkatkan keadaban digital warga negara muda melalui pendidikan kewarganegaraan digital. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Subyek penelitian adalah mahasiswa Universitas Buana Perjuagan Karawang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interaksi digital warga negara muda tergolong rendah karena masih terjadi perundungan online, pencemaran nama baik, ujaran kebencian, penyebaran berita bohong, penipuan, dan pelecehan seksual online. Peneliti juga memberikan gagasan alternatif pengintegrasian materi pendidikan kewarganegaraan digital dengan pendidikan kewarganegaraan di sekolah demi meningkatkan kompetensi digital warga negara muda.

Abstract

Transformation education needs to reorganize, update and adapt the education system in the 21st century This study aims to analyze and describe the transformation of surau-based education in the 21st century in shaping the character of the religious Minang generation in Padang.  This research uses social construction theory proposed by Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckman. The research approach used is qualitative research with the case study method. The determination of informant criteria was carried out by means of purposive sampling. Data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed by following the interactive data analysis model from Miles and Huberman which includes data reduction, data display, and verification or drawing conclusions. The results of the study show surau-based education in the 21st century is packaged in the form of Al-qur’an reading and writing programs at TPQ-TPA, didikkan subuh, wirid remaja, and youth boarding schools. Surau is interpreted today, no longer as it was before the 21st century, namely martial arts, and a place to sleep or where adult men gather but functions the same as a mushala and a mosque, namely a place of worship and learning that are not only for boys but also for girls of school age. The house of worship for Muslims in Padang is used as a means of implementing certified qur’anic educational institutions. The novelty in this research is the internalization of surau-based 21st century education values.

Abstract

This article discusses the factors that cause gadget addiction in children, the impact of gadget addiction on children's mental health, especially in the alpha generation, and provides strategies or solutions to overcome it. The research method used is literature study and analysis of secondary data from various trusted sources. Data was collected through a literature review which included journals, scientific articles, and research reports resulting from interviews and questionnaires. The research results show that one of the factors causing children to become addicted to gadgets is a lack of parental supervision and parenting which causes problems with the child's physical and mental health. The solution to overcome this is by limiting children's use of gadgets, one of which is by implementing a picture timetable and Google Family Link

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to analyze the problems in the development of the Pancasila education curriculum and the implementation of Pancasila education based on the 2013 Curriculum and the Independent Curriculum. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method. The results of the study indicate that the development of the Pancasila education curriculum raises public suspicion of the curriculum development process because of the large budget, is carried out without considering the results of the curriculum evaluation, and does not involve experts, academics, stakeholders, and representatives from the teacher professional association. Pancasila education based on the 2013 Curriculum has not been implemented optimally due to the availability of learning resources that are still minimal, limited time allocation, and the reduction of Core Competencies to Basic Competencies that are still balanced between aspects of attitude, knowledge, and skills. The implementation of Pancasila education based on the Independent Curriculum experiences obstacles due to the absence of limitations regarding the concept of independent learning, the unpreparedness of facilities and infrastructure, and the unclear division of learning achievements in aspects of attitude, knowledge, and skills.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of the SPADA Indonesia online learning platform in fostering creativity among students enrolled in Civic Education courses at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) and Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) Banjarmasin. Given the increasing importance of creativity as a critical skill for future graduates, this research aims to explore how the features and interactive elements of SPADA Indonesia contribute to enhancing student creativity within the context of mandatory Civic Education curricula. A total of 90 students participated in this study, comprising 45 from each university, selected through purposive sampling to ensure a diverse representation of experiences and perspectives. Data collection involved pre- and post-intervention surveys, focus group discussions, and observational analysis of student activities within the online platform. The findings reveal that students reported increased engagement, flexibility, and creative problem-solving skills when using SPADA Indonesia for their coursework. Furthermore, the study identifies specific platform aspects"”such as interactive modules, collaborative forums, and multimedia resources"”that positively impact students' creative capacities. The results suggest that SPADA Indonesia can be a valuable tool in enhancing creativity within Civic Education, with implications for its integration into broader academic curricula. These findings significantly impact the wider scholarly community, potentially shaping the future of education. Recommendations for optimizing the use of online learning platforms to support creative development were discussed.
