Abstract

Kata Kunci : Stunting, Tumbuh Kembang, BalitaStunting or short toddlers must receive special attention because it is one of the many health development priorities listed globally in the 2nd goal of the Sustainable Developmental Goals (SGDs). The 2018 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) shows a stunting prevalence of 30.8%. Compared to the SSGBI results, the stunting rate has been reduced by 3.1% in the last year. The number of children with stunting under the age of five is 149.2 million in 2020, down 26.7% compared to 2000 which reached 203.6 million. To determine the effect of stunting on the growth and development of toddlers aged 24-59 months in the working area of the UPTD Alue Bilie Health Center, Darul Makmur sub-district, Nagan Raya district. This study was a quantitative study, the population in this study were all mothers who had children aged under 24-59 months, totaling 159 people. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique by randomizing 99 samples and processing them using the chi square test (x2). The statistical test results obtained a p-value = 0.392, namely the value α = > 0.05 meaning that there is no relationship between the growth and development of toddlers and the incidence of stunting. It is hoped that the Puskesmas will routinely and cooperatively provide counseling in reducing the incidence of stunting and be protective in paying attention to stunting cases that occur in toddlers, but for toddlers who are affected by stunting it is a concern for all parties so that it can be handled optimally. Keywords: Stunting, Growth and Development, Toddlers

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to explore how the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative learning model, when combined with augmented reality (AR) media using Assemblr Edu and Papuan local wisdom, can improve elementary students’ understanding of geometry. Method: A quasi-experimental design was used with two groups: one taught using the integrated model and the other taught with conventional methods. Data were collected through geometry tests, classroom observations, and student questionnaires. The analysis focused on comparing students’ understanding and engagement in both groups. Findings: The integrated learning design helped students become more active, motivated, and collaborative. They showed better understanding of geometric concepts and were more confident in applying them to real-life and cultural contexts. The combination of cooperative learning, digital media, and local wisdom created a more engaging and meaningful learning experience. Significance: This study demonstrates that blending pedagogy, technology, and culture can make mathematics learning more relevant and accessible, especially in frontier and culturally diverse regions. The approach offers a model for teachers seeking to connect abstract mathematical ideas with students’ everyday experiences.

Abstract

This study aims to understand and describe in depth the conceptual understanding errors in the material of stacked multiplication experienced by class 4C students of SDN 35 Sorong City. The study used a qualitative descriptive method that was carried out naturally in a natural situation without intervention. The subjects of the study were 25 class 4C students, with data collected through tests, interviews, and documentation. The test consisted of five stacked multiplication problems to identify the types of student errors, while the interviews aimed to dig deeper into students' understanding of the material being taught. The results of the study showed that student errors were divided into two types, namely conceptual errors and procedural errors. Conceptual errors mainly occur in long stacked multiplication, where students place numbers and lines incorrectly in the process of working, even though the final result is correct. Meanwhile, procedural errors arise because students do not follow the correct steps in solving long-stacked multiplication. The data analysis found that 60% of students made conceptual errors, while the other 40% made procedural errors. These findings indicate that errors in understanding compound multiplication material are caused by weak mastery of basic concepts, errors in solving steps, and ineffective teaching methods. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to strengthen basic concepts, structured exercises, and more interactive teaching approaches so that students can understand the steps for solving compound multiplication better. This study provides recommendations for teachers to develop more effective learning strategies to improve students' understanding of compound multiplication.

Abstract

Soft skills are essential competencies that teachers must possess to create an effective, communicative, and student-centered learning process. However, the geographical conditions of SD Negeri 01 Saonek, which is located in an island area, present unique challenges, particularly related to limited access to travel outside the island and unstable communication networks. These limitations have resulted in teachers at the school not receiving adequate training in soft skill development, including communication, classroom management, and self-reflection abilities. To address this need, a socialization and training program based on microteaching was implemented as an effort to enhance teachers’ professional competencies. The microteaching method was chosen because it provides opportunities for direct practice, structured feedback, and simplified yet effective teaching simulations. The training was designed to help teachers understand good teaching techniques, build confidence, and strengthen interpersonal skills in instructional interactions. In addition, the collective feedback sessions offered participants chances to learn from one another and improve their teaching strategies based on peer observations. The results of the activity indicated an improvement in teachers’ ability to design lesson scenarios, manage classrooms, deliver material more clearly, and communicate more effectively with students. Teachers also reported increased motivation and a deeper understanding of the importance of soft skills in supporting their professionalism. Thus, the microteaching training provided new insights into the capacity-building process for teachers at SD Negeri 01 Saonek and served as a relevant solution for island schools facing limited access to conventional training. This program is expected to continue and become a model for empowering teachers in 3T regions to sustainably improve education quality.
