Abstract

T2 FLAIR has a long scanning time, because T2 FLAIR has additional TI (Time of Inversion) so patients feel uncomfortable. The SENSE produces image quality, namely contrast and spatial resolution, which is the same as standard image reconstruction, but the scan time required is only half of the standard scan time. This research aimed to determined the difference between SENSE and non-SENSE techniques in axial T2 FLAIR MRI Brain on SNR values and scan time. This study used 16 samples from all patients with T2 FLAIR axial MRI brain at Gambiran Hospital using SENSE and non-SENSE techniques. The results of the image were evaluated by quantitative method, by giving ROI (Region of Interest) to the cerebral cortex, basal ganglia, thalamus and noise background, then the signal intensity obtained from the organ image and the standard deviation (SD) of the background of the image was calculated by dividing the average signal of the measured area by SD at the noise to obtain the SNR value. The results of the SNR value were analyzed by the Paired T-Test and tested with the SPSS version 25. There was a difference between the SENSE and non-SENSE techniques in the axial T2 FLAIR MRI brain to the SNR value. This difference is because the T2 FLAIR non-SENSE does not experience the reduction in phase encoding lines needed to fill the image k-space on each coil element, a potential deficiency is met by the elimination of wrapping information that results in high image resolution spatial.

Abstract

Hernia Nucleus Pulposus (HNP) is the most common cause of back pain in the elderly. The most sensitive imaging to see HNP is using MRI. MRI examinations that are a little long can cause patient discomfort, especially with clinical HNP, because patients will complain of pain located in the lower back and result in suboptimal MRI images, therefore requiring a relatively faster scan time, thus requiring the GRAPPA Parallel Imaging technique which can produce good image quality with a short scanning time. The purpose of this study was to compare the GRAPPA factor acceleration value and to determine the correlation between image quality and the use of different GRAPPA factor accelerations. This study used 10 samples of patients with clinical Hernia nucleus pulposus MRI T2 Sagittal FSE examination at Indriati Solo Baru Hospital using the GRAPPA Acceleration Factor value. The results of the GRAPPA technique images on each sample were assessed for image quality quantitatively based on the SNR value and scan time. Based on the SNR value results, Acceleration Factor 1 has a higher average value compared to Acceleration Factor 2 and 3, while Scantime Acceleration Factor 2 has a shorter scanning time compared to Acceleration Factor 1 and 3. The GRAPPA technique can be applied to produce good image quality with fast scanning time.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine and describe the influence of psycholinguistics and metacognition on the ability of physics education students to use verbal language in the learning process. Quantitative research is used to measure the level of influence between variables, and then the case study is used to determine the sample. Based on the data, it could be concluded that the ability of psycholinguistics had a positive correlation with language skills, with a correlation of 0.924 and a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05. Thus, it could be understood that there was a positive correlation between psycholinguistics toward language skills with a very strong correlation category. The correlation between metacognition and language skills was 0.874 with a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, this article argues that the ability of psycholinguistics and metacognition, so the language skills of physics students in carrying out physics learning would be better. This meant that the two variables affected the verbal language skills in learning physics together and not separately. Because language skills are related to metacognitive abilities, including intellectual abilities, teachers need to consider the use of verbal language in the classroom for the cognitive development of students. To achieve this, a psycholinguistic skill development program was needed for physics education students and other prospective teacher students; they could use verbal language in both the declarative, imperative, and interrogative aspects appropriately and accurately.

Abstract

Excessive use of inorganic fertilizers can cause soil degradation and environmental pollution. To address this issue, composting organic materials such as manure and wood chips can be an environmentally friendly alternative solution. This program aimed to demonstrate the composting process for a mixture of manure and wood chips through activities conducted by students of the Agroecotechnology Study Program at Universitas Sulawesi Barat, class of 2022, in the greenhouse. Compost was made by mixing 20 buckets of wood powder with 20 kg of manure, adding 35 ml of EM4 solution dissolved in 1 liter of water, and fermenting for 2-3 weeks. The results of the practical activity showed that the compost produced was dark brown, had an earthy smell, and had a crumbly texture, indicating that the decomposition process was successful. This compost has the potential to increase soil fertility, improve soil structure, and support sustainable agriculture in an efficient and environmentally friendly manner.

Abstract

Differentiated learning can foster creativity, independence, and motivation to learn in students. However, misconceptions in understanding and implementing this approach produce negative outcomes. This study analyzes misconceptions in differentiated learning among Indonesian social studies teachers, examining their forms, causes, and impacts. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, utilizing structured and open-ended interviews conducted via Google Forms, with 126 randomly selected social studies teachers across Indonesia. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. Results reveal significant misconceptions among Indonesian social studies teachers. Key findings include an overemphasis on learning styles (auditory, visual, kinesthetic) in teaching practices, uniform time allocation despite varying student abilities, and excessive reliance on group learning without considering individual student profiles, including those who prefer independent learning. These misconceptions reveal fundamental misunderstandings about the principles of differentiated instruction, underscoring the need for enhanced teacher training and professional development programs.

Abstract

Abstract: The commercialization of halal certification in Indonesia has shifted its function from a religious safeguard to an economic commodity. This development raises concerns about the balance between spiritual values and market-driven practices. This study aims to critically analyze three major aspects of this phenomenon: the use of halal labels as branding tools, the rise of external halal consultants, and the financial implications of certification fees, particularly for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through document analysis of government regulations, scholarly articles, online news, and BPJPH publications. The findings show that certification fees, fast-track services, and consultant involvement reinforce the commercial orientation of halal certification. While these mechanisms increase administrative efficiency, they also impose financial burdens on MSMEs and reduce the spiritual integrity previously associated with halal assurance. The results further reveal that non-Muslim companies actively adopt halal labels to compete in the Muslim consumer market, strengthening the commodification of religious symbols. The study concludes that without stronger regulatory oversight and ethical standards, commercialization may erode public trust and weaken the religious significance of halal certification. These findings highlight the urgency of policy reforms to maintain authenticity, fairness, and accountability within Indonesia’s halal certification system. Keywords: Indonesian food industry; halal certification; commercialization Abstract: Komersialisasi sertifikasi halal di Indonesia telah menggeser fungsinya dari penjaga kepatuhan religius menjadi komoditas ekonomi. Abstract

This research examines the constitutional legitimacy of the national zakat system through the role of the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) after the 2023 Constitutional Court decision and explores the challenges and opportunities for digitalization integration in zakat governance to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with PRISMA guidelines. Data sourced from the Scopus database using strategic keywords related to zakat, resulting in 209 articles which were then filtered into 41 studies that were worth analysis. A selection process ensures transparency and consistency, while thematic analysis focuses on issues of legal legitimacy, zakat governance, and digital transformation. The results of the analysis revealed three main findings. First, the constitutional legitimacy of BAZNAS strengthens the integration of zakat into national law while expanding its socio-economic function. Second, the digitization of zakat, especially through e-zakat and blockchain technology, has significant potential to increase efficiency, transparency, and public participation, although it still faces obstacles related to digital literacy and public trust. Third, zakat has been proven to contribute significantly to poverty alleviation and the achievement of the SDGs; However, its long-term effectiveness still requires further validation through more in-depth and cross-country empirical studies. This research emphasizes the importance of strengthening zakat governance based on sharia principles that are integrated with state law, while encouraging the adoption of modern technology. Future research needs to be directed at cross-border comparison models, the development of innovative digital platforms, as well as multidisciplinary approaches that synergize law, economics, and technology to ensure zakat remains relevant in the context of globalization and future socio-economic challenges.
