Abstract

Sharia insurance plays a pivotal role in offering support and protection to its members in the face of uncertainties and losses. However, the comprehension of students concerning sharia insurance exhibits a notable spectrum of variability. As such, this study endeavors to delve into the nuanced understanding of Muamalah students at IAIN Parepare regarding sharia insurance. The primary goal is to gauge the depth of knowledge these students possess in this domain. By adopting a qualitative approach, this research capitalizes on field research as its chosen methodology. The study sample encompasses 8 Muamalah students, who were thoughtfully selected to partake as respondents, contributing their perspectives through interview sessions. Through this method, a comprehensive analysis of the students' comprehension of sharia insurance was conducted. The findings yielded from the research elucidate intriguing insights into the perspectives of Muamalah students at IAIN Parepare. Among the respondents, a notable 57.2% affirmed their grasp of insurance concepts, underscoring their familiarity with the fundamental tenets of sharia insurance. Conversely, an intriguing 43.0% of participants conveyed their lack of understanding in this realm, hinting at the presence of potential gaps in the pedagogical approaches or materials employed in disseminating knowledge about sharia insurance.

Abstract

Infant health status, nutritional status is one of the things that affect the health status of a country. The indicators for choosing a child's health degree include the Infant Mortality Rate (IMR), the purpose of this study is to find out the attitude of pregnant women to the use of the Maternal Child Health (MCH) handbook at the Minasa Upa Health Center. This type of research design uses cross sectional (cross sectional) and the dependent variable is the attitude of pregnant women while the independent variable is the use of the MCH handbook, measurements were taken at the same time with 35 respondents. Data collection using a questionnaire. then data analysis used the Chi Square Test with the result that the value of P = 0.000 > from α = 0.05 then the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted meaning that there is a correlation between pregnant women's attitudes towards the use of maternal and child health books at the Minasa Upa Health Center in 2021.

Abstract

Bagan tancap merupakan alat tangkap ikan kategori jaring yang banyak digunakan di Kalimantan Timur. Bagan tancap dioperasikan pada malam atau siang hari sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan situasi di daerah tersebut. Seperti di perairan Lamaru, setiap operasi jaring dilakukan ± 2-3 kali hauling atau jaring yang biasanya dilakukan sebelum tengah malam (21.00-23.59 WIB), tengah malam (00.00-02.59 WIB) dan setelah tengah malam (03.00-06.00 WIB). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan waktu angkut tancap Bagan terhadap hasil tangkapan di Perairan Lamaru Kota Balikpapan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan tiga kali sehari dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling dengan 3 periode pengambilan sampel untuk setiap pengambilan data. Hasil yang ditemukan tangkapan diambil sebelum tengah malam dengan rata-rata 5,52 kg, pada tengah malam jumlah tangkapan rata-rata 3,90 kg, sedangkan setelah tengah malam angka rata-rata yang didapat adalah 7,36 kg. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa perbedaan waktu angkut menunjukkan perbedaan hasil yang signifikan terhadap hasil tangkapan, dan waktu angkut bagan yang paling optimal adalah setelah tengah malam.

Abstract

Periphyton are animals or plants that live below the surface of the water, attached to rocks, twigs, soil or other substrates. Periphyton which is classified into the animal group generally consists of protozoa and rotifers, while periphyton which is classified as plant consists of microalgae. The purpose of this study was to determine the structure of seagrass and the role of the Periphyton community. Measurement of water quality parameters was carried out at the Water Quality Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, while substrate research was carried out at the Soil Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture. This research was conducted from November to March 2023 using the quadratic transect method while determining the stations and observation points using the purposive sampling method. Observation locations were determined based on seagrass density and using the transect method with a 50×50 cm quadrant. data were analyzed by calculating the Periphyton Community Structure. The abundance of periphyton in the Bay of Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, consists of seven classes, namely Bacillariophyceae, Ulvophyceae, Mediophyceae, Copepoda, Gastropods, Diplopoda, Dinophyceae. while the highest abundance was at station 3 of 36.1667. The high abundance of Periphyton at station 3 was caused by the sandy substrate and good water quality parameters. Based on the Diversity Index value indicates low Index status, Uniformity Index value indicates low Index status, Dominance Index value indicates low Index status.

Abstract

Seagrasses are flowering plants that live in shallow waters and form an ecological community which is a place for biotic and abiotic interactions. The structure of the phytoplankton community consists of individual arrangements of various types and species that are organized to form a community. Phytoplankton are autotrophic organisms and primary producers in the marine food chain. The purpose of this study was to determine the abundance of phytoplankton, uniformity and dominance values. Measurement of water quality parameters was carried out at the Water Quality Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Mulawarman University from November to December. Determination of research locations using the method of consideration (purposive sampling method). Sedgewick-Rafter method was applied for the identification stage. The data were analyzed by calculating the abundance of phytoplankton, diversity index, uniformity index and dominance index, then the data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel. The abundance of phytoplankton ranged from 2772 - 1575 individuals/L. While the diversity index values ​​ranged from 2.79 - 2.57, the uniformity index values ​​ranged from 0.74 - 0.80 and the dominance index values ​​ranged from 0.10 - 0.11.

Abstract

Zooplankton is a component in the food chain that has an important role in the production value of an ecosystem, this is because zooplankton is the main connecting link between phytoplankton and nekton. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of zooplankton found in the seagrass beds of Balikpapan Bay and to determine the value of diversity, uniformity and dominance of zooplankton in the waters of Balikpapan Bay. Measurement of water quality parameters was carried out at the Water Quality Laboratory of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences. This research was conducted in November - December 2022 in the waters of the Bay of Balikpapan City using the consideration method (Purposive Sampling Method) to determine the research station and use the method Sedgewick Rafter for the identification stage the data were analyzed by calculating zooplankton abundance, diversity index, uniformity index and dominance index, then the data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel. The abundance of zooplankton in the waters of Balikpapan City Bay consisted of 2 classes, namely copepods and oligotrichea, while for the abundance of zooplankton the results were different at station 1, the value was 1134 ind/L at station 2, the result was 567 ind/L and at station 3, the value was obtained 252 ind/L for station 1 and 2 of the highest species is the crime of murderand at station 3 the highest species Tintinnopsis open. The diversity index value in Balikpapan Bay waters is categorized as moderate species, the uniformity index value in Balikpapan Bay waters is categorized as relatively stable and the dominance index value in Balikpapan Bay waters is categorized as no dominant species.

Abstract

Daerah muara sungai merupakan salah satu lokasi pembuangan sampah terdekat dengan masyarakt sehingga seringkali menyebabkan terjadinya bencana banjir. Pengabdian ini sebagai bentuk kepudulian mahasiswa dan sivitas akademik melalui program bakti social pembersihan area muara sungai. Metode pengabdian dengan pembersihan sampah yang ada disekitar muara sungai dekat dengan pemukiman penduduk dan kampus Universitas Mulawarman. Pengambilan data kuisioner berdasarkan pengetahuai dan sikap peduli masyarkat akan kebersihan muara sungai. Hasil kuisioner menunjukkkan sebanyak 50% masyarat disekitar kampus lebih mempedulikan keberadaan sampah di muara sungai namun 55% penduduk yang bermukim di dekat aliran sungai tekenan dampak akibat banyaknya sampah di muara sungai. Sebesar 85% penduduk yang bermukim di aliran muara sungai berkomitmen untuk lebih peduli untuk tidak menbuang sampah di dekat aliran sungai dan 80% penduduk di area kampus menyukai kebersihan muara sungai.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the effect of Islamic business ethics and product quality on customer loyalty at PT. Bank SUMUT Syariah KCP Stabat. The source of this research data was obtained from the answers to the questionnaire given by the research respondents, namely PT. Bank SUMUT Syariah KCP Stabat as many as 100 respondents. Data analysis in this study used validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, hypothesis test, and multiple linear regression analysis. Based on these tests, it is explained that there is a significant influence both partially and simultaneously between Islamic business ethics and product quality on customer loyalty at PT. Bank SUMUT Syariah KCP Stabat. Islamic business ethics and product quality affect customer loyalty at PT. Bank SUMUT Syariah KCP Stabat is 37,7% while the rest is influenced by other variables such as administrative costs, profit sharing ratios, promotions, locations, and others. There is a positive or in line meaning that if Islamic business ethics and product quality experience an increase, the customer loyalty of PT. Bank SUMUT Syariah KCP Stabat has also increased, and vice versa if Islamic business ethics and services have decreased, customer loyalty to PT. Bank SUMUT Syariah KCP Stabat decreased too.

Abstract

Dalam era digital, transportasi berbasis aplikasi, atau ojek online, telah menjadi bagian integral kehidupan sehari-hari. Keberhasilan pengalaman pengguna aplikasi ini terletak pada kualitas sistem pembayaran, yang mencakup keamanan dan kemudahan penggunaan. Studi ini mengevaluasi tiga aplikasi terkemuka, yaitu Grab, Gojek, dan Maxim, dengan fokus pada antarmuka pengguna, kecepatan transaksi, dan opsi pembayaran. Gojek mendominasi dengan antarmuka yang mudah dipahami, tampilan grafis fleksibel, dan fitur penilaian pengemudi. Proses pembayaran cepat dan beragam pilihan pembayaran memberikan kenyamanan tambahan. Grab menunjukkan antarmuka user-friendly, fitur pencarian lokasi, dan variasi pembayaran. Sementara Maxim, dengan antarmuka yang kurang inovatif, terbatas pada pembayaran tunai dan dompet digital, dan beberapa pengguna mengalami kendala dengan kecepatan layanan. Berdasarkan analisis, Gojek menduduki peringkat teratas, diikuti oleh Grab dan Maxim. Hasil ini memberikan wawasan penting untuk memahami dan meningkatkan kualitas sistem pembayaran dalam aplikasi ojek online.

Abstract

Accounting as a complement (tahsiniyat) can turn into a necessity (hajiyat) at the maqashid level. Maqashid sharia is not the most decisive factor in giving birth to sharia economic products that can play a dual role as a tool of social control and socio-economic engineering to realize human benefit, sharia maqashid can provide philosophical and rational dimensions to sharia economic law products that are born in economic ijtihad activities contemporary sharia. Islamic banking, which is growing and developing in the country, is currently increasingly in demand by investors and potential investors. However, the problem is that people do not know how far the performance of Islamic banking is, when compared to the performance of conventional banks which first operated. This study is intended to compare the performance of the two banks, this is important so that investors, potential investors know and assess the performance of the two banks. Assessment of financial performance can be seen from the financial ratios of CAR, ROA, ROE, NPL, LDR, and BOPO. The research population is 14 Islamic commercial banks. The sample using purposive sampling, using 3 Islamic banks, Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) Syariah, Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) Syariah, Bank Mandiri Syariah and 115 conventional banks. Research data from the annual financial statements of the banks under study. The data analysis technique used the Mann-Whitney U Test. The results showed that there was no significant difference in the CAR ratio between Islamic banks and conventional banks. The ratio of ROA, ROE, NPL, LDR and BOPO there are significant differences between Islamic banks and conventional banks. The financial performance of Islamic banks is better in terms of the LDR ratio, while the financial performance of conventional banks is better in terms of the ratios of CAR, ROA, ROE, NPL, BOPO.
