Abstract

This research is a qualitative research with a case study approach. The reason for using case studies is that this research examines existing cases so that researchers only study existing cases. This research will be conducted at SDN 106161 Percut Sei Tuan. The time of this research was carried out in March-April 2022. The total informants needed were 2 fifth grade teachers and 6 students. Determination of informants in this study was done by purposive sampling technique. After describing the results and discussion, the conclusions in this study are determined:1) For the value of patriotism, according to the researcher, the students of SDN 106161 Percut Sei Tuan have a good attitude of nationalism but still don't know much about the values of nationalism that must be fostered. Then students also have social care for fellow friends, family and teachers as well as for surrounding creatures such as animals that pass around the school and the plants that grow around the school are cared for properly. 2) The problem related to social care and love for the homeland lies in the lack of enthusiasm for students showing these 2 characters in learning and the importance of these two attitudes, considering that at present the problem of love for the homeland is very minimal for children because of global influences, technology and the entry of foreign culture into Indonesia so that it affects children. 3) The process of implementing experiential narratives where learning is carried out with the concept of telling the experience of role models in this country related to the Proclamation and Presidents 1 and 2 in Indonesia has been carried out very well

Abstract

Bee Pollen Product Diversification through Plant-Based Capsules in the Honey Industry Village, Kediri Regency Abstract This community service program was initiated because bee pollen produced by the partner, the Honey Tourism Village in the Honey Industry Village area of Kediri Regency, was still mainly sold as a raw material and had not been developed into a practical product form. The program aimed to diversify bee pollen through plant-based capsules and transfer semi-aseptic capsule-filling skills. It employed an Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach consisting of asset and problem identification, joint program design, demonstrations, hands-on practice using a capsule filling board, and an initial evaluation. The activity was held on 22 June 2024 from 08:30 to 11:30 and involved 20 beekeepers and partner administrators. Participants were able to follow the practice sequence, initial bee pollen capsule samples were produced, a capsule filling board was provided to the partner, and the initial product began to be marketed. A one-item satisfaction survey showed that 17 participants (85%) rated the activity as very useful and 3 participants (15%) as useful. The activity received positive initial acceptance and generated a product-diversification form that the partner began to adopt. However, the available data do not demonstrate improvements in competence, product quality, safety, shelf life, environmental impact, consumer acceptance, or sales; these aspects require further testing and follow-up assistance.

Abstract

The cognitive learning outcomes of 10th-grade students at SMA Islam Malang regarding the concept of viruses are low. This is due to the perception among students that the virus concept is difficult to grasp, and the learning methods employed tend to be monotonous. Consequently, the aim of this study is to develop and assess the effectiveness of 'Virulent Attack' - a role-playing learning media adapted from the popular game Werewolf - in improving the cognitive learning outcomes of high school students in understanding the virus concept. Following the ADDIE development model, the study involved 29 X-D students from SMA Islam Malang who had no prior knowledge of the virus concept. The validation test was conducted by three experts (one material expert, one media expert, and one biology teacher) using a validation sheet questionnaire. The practicality test was carried out by students during the trial stages, and one educational practitioner provided feedback through a response questionnaire. The effectiveness test was evaluated by comparing students' pretest and posttest scores on cognitive learning outcomes, which were analyzed using the N-Gain score criteria. The findings indicate that 'Virulent Attack' is highly valid (material expert: 100%, media expert: 94.64%, biology teacher: 96.68%), practical (average score: 90.58%), and moderately effective in improving cognitive outcomes (N-Gain score: 0.66, effectiveness: 66.55%). Importantly, the game provided a positive learning experience, increased motivation, and facilitated a deeper conceptual understanding, suggesting its potential application in real-world educational contexts. These findings not only highlight the value of role-playing games in educational settings but also have practical implications for incorporating such media into biology curricula to enhance engagement and understanding.
