Abstract

Makalah ini membahas tentang tokoh-tokoh filsafat Barat maupun Islam yang ikut berkontribusi dalam membentuk dasar pemikiran dan praktik pendidikan modern. Konsep pemikiran mereka antara lain; konsep tentang hakikat pendidikan, Metode pembelajaran, Kurikulum, dan juga peran guru dalam proses pendidikan.  Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Rousseau, Dewey, dan Freire, sebagai filsuf Barat, menekankan pentingnya dialog, pengalaman, pembentukan karakter, serta pendidikan sebagai alat pembebasan. Sementara itu, tokoh Islam seperti Al-Farabi, Ibn Sina, Al-Ghazali, dan Ibnu Khaldun memberikan pendekatan pendidikan yang menyeimbangkan antara akal, jiwa, moralitas, dan spiritualitas. Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa pemikiran filsafat klasik tetap relevan di tengah tantangan pendidikan kontemporer, seperti krisis moral, disrupsi teknologi, dan kebutuhan akan pendidikan yang humanis dan adaptif. Diharapkan pemikiran-pemikiran ini dapat menjadi pijakan filosofis dalam merancang sistem pendidikan yang berorientasi pada pengembangan manusia seutuhnya.

Abstract

This article examines the irrational behavior patterns exhibited by educated individuals, particularly in relation to corrupt actions. It is crucial to recognize that moral education cannot be compromised, as the fundamental mission of education is to cultivate a noble humanitarian spirit, elevating individuals beyond mere physical existence and transient concerns. There exists a flaw within the educational framework in Indonesia, which fails to ensure that the personal conduct of educated individuals remains virtuous. This article provides an analysis and critique of the prevailing perception of education as it is practiced in Indonesia. The methodology employed in this article is grounded in the philosophy of Islamic education, which articulates the philosophical underpinnings of education as understood within the context of Islam. This philosophical overview is deemed suitable for investigating human moral behavior. The findings of this research aim to bolster national integrity and protect the nation from the pervasive moral crisis that is currently widespread.

Abstract

Technological advancements have influenced every aspect of human existence, bringing both conveniences and challenges. Overall, innovations in the internet, smartphones, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things have improved communication, work, education, and entertainment. Although the implementation of automation and AI in professional environments can boost productivity, it may also alter certain job roles and require new adaptive skills. From a social perspective, communication technologies facilitate global connectivity, yet they diminish the closeness typically experienced in face-to-face interactions. Moreover, growing reliance on technology can undermine cognitive abilities such as critical thinking, memory, and analytical skills due to the ease of access to information. Conversely, when managed prudently, emerging technologies can offer opportunities for learning and creativity. Effectively harnessing technology highlights the importance of balancing control with the emotional, cognitive, and social dimensions of life. Preserving human values alongside technological advancement underscores the necessity for digital literacy and responsible use of technology.

Abstract

This study explores the evolution of Islamic educational thought from the classical to the modern era, examining the changing concepts and insights derived from the Qur'an and Hadith as well as the impact of Greek philosophy as incorporated by figures such as Al-Kindi, Al-Farabi, and Ibn Sina. The core of this study is how Islamic educational philosophy evolved from a classical perspective that emphasized the formation of faithful and knowledgeable individuals, to modern thought that embraces contemporary knowledge as well as Islamic values. This article also explores the role of Islamic educational philosophy in addressing current educational challenges with a holistic approach, integrating the spiritual, intellectual, and social dimensions in the learning process. This article highlights the characteristics of Islamic learning in two eras, ancient and modern, and examines key shifts in this history. At that time, Islamic studies were based on the teachings of the Qur'an and Hadith as their primary roots. However, today, there are adjustments to accommodate the complex and dynamic needs of the public. By examining the characteristics of Islamic learning from a historical perspective, this paper hopes to help people understand how Islamic studies have changed over time, and how they have influenced the minds and souls of Muslims.

Abstract

Mathematics is a universal science that underlies the development of modern science and technology, and has an important role in the development of human thinking. Mathematics is a subject that is based on logical, rational, critical, and systematic thinking patterns. Religion and rationality are two perspectives that have a strong influence. Humans view religious values ​​and rational values ​​as different entities, causing a dichotomy paradigm, especially in the realm of education. In the perspective of the epistemology of science in Islam, Islam and science are complementary and interdependent entities. The mathematical approach used here does not mean that Islamic values ​​are low, but only to increase the belief of Muslims that all knowledge is valuable and can lead to true goodness and increase faith and closeness to Allah SWT.To examine how Islamic values ​​are applied in mathematics learning, To identify and develop effective strategies or methods in integrating Islamic values ​​in mathematics learning materials, To measure the extent of the application of Islamic values ​​in mathematics learning.This study uses a qualitative approach, while the type of research used by the researcher is descriptive research.Mathematics as a logical and systematic science, has a meeting point with Islamic teachings that emphasize truth, justice, and balance. For example, the concept of monotheism can be associated with the order of the universe expressed through mathematical formulas, fostering a sense of gratitude and obedience. The implementation of Islamic values ​​that are rahmatan lil 'alamin (blessing for all nature) in mathematics learning, especially to form honest and fair characters in students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the pattern of the concept of integration between Science and Islam, to explore how this integration is implemented, and to identify the factors that influence its effectiveness in the context of learning for the Integrated Madrasah Science Competition (KSM) in Biology at MAN 1 Wonosobo. This study employs a qualitative research method, utilizing field research and descriptive research approaches. The findings indicate that the pattern of integration between Science and Islam in biology learning is interconnective, blending both perspectives seamlessly. Supervisory teachers, who predominantly have a pure scientific background in biology, play an active role in discussions and studies. The use of biology textbooks as learning resources, which integrate both scientific and Islamic content, is maximized, allowing for in-depth discussions between teachers and students. Key factors influencing the effectiveness of the Biology KSM include the curriculum and learning materials that emphasize the integration of Science and Islam. The competencies of interdisciplinary teachers who understand and master the integration of both sciences are crucial for the success of the Biology KSM. Additionally, support from all components of the madrasah is essential for creating a motivating and guiding framework that encourages the integration process. These findings suggest that the combination of academic expertise in both science and Islam, along with strong institutional support, contributes significantly to the effectiveness of the Integrated Madrasah Science Competition and enhances the learning experience for students. This study provides insights into how the integration of Science and Islam can be effectively implemented in the educational context, specifically within biology education.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the integration pattern between Science and Islam in the context of the Integrated Madrasah Science Competition (KSM) for Biology at MAN 1 Wonosobo. The research specifically seeks to: (1) identify the conceptual pattern of Science–Islam integration in Biology learning, (2) examine the implementation of this integration in the KSM preparation process, and (3) analyze the factors influencing its effectiveness. This research adopts a qualitative approach, employing field research and descriptive analysis to capture a comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon. The findings reveal that the integration pattern in Biology learning within the KSM context is characterized as integrative–interconnective, where scientific concepts are interconnected with Islamic values and perspectives. Supervisory teachers with a strong background in pure Biology tend to be more active in developing discussion themes, conducting in-depth dialogues, and organizing studies that merge scientific and religious viewpoints. The effective implementation of this integration is supported by optimal utilization of learning resources, particularly Biology textbooks, as a source of pure scientific material enriched with Islamic insights. Such integration is further strengthened by collaborative discussions between teachers and students, fostering deeper understanding and critical thinking. Several factors contribute to the effectiveness of Biology KSM learning. These include the existence of a curriculum and learning materials that intentionally integrate Science and Islam, as well as the interdisciplinary competencies of teachers who not only master Biology content but also possess the ability to connect it with Islamic principles. Additionally, institutional support from all components of the madrasah—administrators, fellow teachers, and students—plays a crucial role in creating a structured, motivating, and inspiring guidance environment. In conclusion, the integration of Science and Islam in the Biology KSM at MAN 1 Wonosobo represents an effective educational model that promotes both scientific literacy and religious understanding, contributing to holistic student development in madrasah education.

Abstract

Pendidikan multikultural menjadi pendekatan penting dalam membangun karakter peserta didik agar mampu hidup harmonis di tengah keberagaman budaya, agama, suku, dan sosial masyarakat Indonesia. Guru memiliki peran strategis dalam mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai multikultural ke dalam proses pembelajaran, tidak hanya sebagai penyampai pengetahuan, tetapi juga sebagai fasilitator, teladan, dan penggerak budaya toleransi. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran guru dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai multikultural di lingkungan pendidikan. Melalui integrasi nilai-nilai demokrasi, humanisme, dan pluralisme, guru diharapkan mampu menumbuhkan sikap inklusif, saling menghargai, dan keadilan sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kepustakaan dengan menelaah berbagai literatur yang relevan mengenai pendidikan multikultural dan peran guru dalam konteks pembelajaran. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa guru memiliki peran kunci dalam mewujudkan pendidikan yang berkeadilan dan menghormati perbedaan, baik melalui perencanaan pembelajaran, strategi mengajar, maupun penciptaan lingkungan belajar yang mendukung terciptanya budaya multikultural.

Abstract

Pendidikan multikultural merupakan pendekatan yang krusial dan dipandang mampu menjadi solusi efektif dalam upaya menumbuhkan toleransi di sekolah. Indonesia, sebagai negara dengan keanekaragaman suku, ras, agama, dan budaya, menghadapi tantangan di mana perbedaan tersebut justru dapat menimbulkan konflik, prasangka, hingga diskriminasi dan bullying di lingkungan pendidikan. Pendidikan multikultural berfungsi sebagai konsep, ide, atau falsafah yang didasarkan pada keadilan sosial dan kesetaraan pendidikan bagi semua peserta didik tanpa memandang latar belakang. Pendidikan ini berupaya menanamkan kesadaran akan kesetaraan dan penghormatan, serta mengajarkan siswa untuk menerima perbedaan sebagai hal yang alamiah dan sumber kekayaan. Implementasinya di sekolah sangat penting untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang harmonis, aman, dan inklusif , sekaligus menekan potensi munculnya konflik. Melalui metode pembelajaran yang kolaboratif dan dialog lintas budaya, guru berperan penting sebagai teladan dan fasilitator dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai toleransi, empati, dan kerja sama lintas latar belakang. Dengan demikian, pendidikan multikultural tidak hanya bertujuan membentuk peserta didik yang cerdas secara akademik, tetapi juga berkarakter toleran dan siap hidup damai di tengah masyarakat yang majemuk

Abstract

The haul tradition is a widely practiced religius custom among Muslim communities, particulary within the Ahlusunnah Wal Jamaah circle. This article aims to explore haul as a tradition encompassing both religious and social dimensions, as well as to examine scholarly prespectivies on its implementation. This study employs a qualitative approach using library research methods and content analysis techniques, focusing on various relevant sources, including clasiccal texts, contemporary fatwas, and academic literature. The finding that indicate that within the Ahlusunnah Wal Jamaah framework, haul is generally accepted as long as i tis carried out with sincere intentions and does not contradict Islamic principles. Furthermore, haul functions as a medium for da’wah, social solidarity, and the cultivation of moderate Islamic values. Despite differing opinions on its legitimacy and practice, haul continues to hold a significant role in preserving both the spiritual and social heritage of Muslim community.
