Abstract

In the current era of globalization, science and technology are developing rapidly. One example of very popular technology is gadgets. Gadgets have a positive impact on children's thinking patterns, such as helping them regulate the tempo when playing, designing strategies in games, and improving right brain abilities. Notwithstanding these benefits, the use of gadgets can have detrimental effects on children's development, with a heightened impact on teenagers. The radiation produced by gadgets can damage a child's nerve tissue and brain if used too often. More importantly, children become less mobile and are rarely exposed to sunlight, which affects their physical health. As a result, children tend to become less interactive, less creative, and more comfortable being alone with their gadgets. This can trigger individualistic attitudes and reduce feelings of concern for parents, friends and other people around them, as well as their physical health. Physical education and sports carried out in the right proportions can make children fitter, so they can remain active and productive.

Abstract

The process of Islamic education is a lifelong journey that spans from the prenatal stage, prior to birth, all the way to adulthood. In Islam, education transcends mere academic learning; it encompasses character development, spirituality, and the emotional and social preparedness of individuals. This article meticulously explores the various phases of Islamic education, starting with prenatal education, which includes considerations of partner selection and pregnancy, and continuing with postnatal education that addresses the growth and development of infants, children, adolescents, and adults. Furthermore, it examines how education contributes to the formation of individuals who possess both intellectual and moral equilibrium. Employing an analytical and reflective methodology, this study underscores the significance of Islamic education in contemporary society and the obstacles it encounters in the context of globalization. A more profound comprehension of Islamic education aims to offer valuable insights for parents, educators, and the community in nurturing a generation characterized by strong moral integrity.

Abstract

English language instruction is a core component of higher education curricula, designed to develop students' proficiency in academic reading, writing, speaking, and listening. However, university classrooms often face challenges such as low student engagement and insufficient collaboration, leading to suboptimal learning outcomes. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning strategy in enhancing student collaboration and academic performance in an English language course for undergraduate students. The research adopts a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach using the Kemmis and McTaggart spiral model, consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection across two intervention cycles. Data were collected through classroom observation and student interviews and analysed through interactive and reflective techniques. Participants included 25 second-semester students enrolled in an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course. Findings indicate a notable increase in student collaboration, from 45% in Cycle I to 88% in Cycle II, as well as a significant improvement in academic achievement, with mastery levels increasing from 12% to 92% across the two cycles. The results suggest that the TGT strategy creates an engaging and interactive learning environment, promoting both social interaction and deeper language acquisition

Abstract

The Independent Curriculum promotes varied intracurricular learning, allowing content to be delivered more effectively. This enables students to have ample opportunities to delve deeper into concepts and enhance their core competencies. At the same time, educators are given the autonomy to utilize a range of instructional strategies tailored to students’ interests and learning needs. This research investigates how teachers and students perceive the application of the Independent Curriculum in English language instruction at the junior high school level. It further explores the challenges encountered and the strategies employed to address these issues. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were gathered through interviews and classroom observations. Participants in this study included English language teachers, students from Grades 7 and 8, as well as the principal and vice principal of SMPN 1 Sumenep. Data analysis was conducted in three phases: reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate: (1) most teachers and students maintain a favourable view of the curriculum’s implementation and demonstrate comprehension aligned with its principles; (2) English language teaching is guided by structured learning modules and emphasizes the development of the Pancasila Student Profile as a key element of the curriculum. Educators primarily implement problem-based and project-based learning methods; and (3) challenges faced by educators include insufficient human resource readiness, complexities of differentiated instruction, limited digital literacy, inadequate learning materials, and student disengagement during lessons.

Abstract

The state has a mandate to guarantee citizens' freedom of expression by protecting symbolic representations in public spaces. However, legal construction in Indonesia tends to use the law as a tool to limit visual interpretation, including popular cultural symbols such as the One Piece flag. This study aims to explain two main aspects of the mechanism of symbol criminalization: the state's construction of symbols as threats without any basis in actual violations, and the political use of fear through the production of imaginary enemies. The research method employed a qualitative approach with a conceptual approach. The results show that the state's interpretation of visual symbols rests not on the legality of the action, but on controlling the potential meanings that develop outside the official narrative. Within this construction, the law operates as a filtering mechanism for forms of articulation deemed inconsistent with the state's ideological interests. This strategy shifts the focus from concrete violations to the surveillance of social imagination. Thus, the criminalization of symbols occurs not because of their factual content, but because they open up pathways of solidarity that cannot be institutionally controlled. A critical criminological approach demonstrates that the state uses the law to enforce symbolic domination through techniques of controlling meaning within a democratic regime that formally promises freedom of expression.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia are now commercial organizations that can employ many people. There is a need for an efficient information system since there is a dearth of knowledge about marketing goals, despite the fact that many different MSME products have the potential to become high-quality exports. The more people there are who utilize the internet, the more probable it is that businesses will benefit from the increased competition. Therefore, the information system must provide MSMEs with access to digital marketing databases. To address this challenge, this piece presents a theoretical framework for applying technological innovation to the enhancement of human resources in micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSME). Given the current shortcomings of HR improvement procedures in Indonesian MSMEs, this paper offers a comprehensive evaluation as a template for development in the field. In this article, we compare the current HR improvement practice in Indonesian MSMEs to national and international practices reported in the literatures reviewed and conclude that, in accordance with the national marketing information system of MSME owners, implementing technology invention has the potential to support HR improvement in Indonesian MSMEs.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the simultaneous and partial influence and dominant variables of brand ambassador (X1) and brand image (X2) on the Purchase Decision (Y) of Scarlett Whitening Products. The research design used in this study is a quantitative research design. The population in this study were all active students of STIE Widya Praja Tanah Grogot from semester two to semester eight who used Scarlett Whitening products as many as 50 people. The sampling technique in this study used a nonprobability sampling technique with a saturated sampling type, so that in this study the number of samples taken was 50 respondents. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression analysis using the assistance of SPSS. The calculation result of the brand image variable (X2) obtained a t-value of 2.186 and a significant level of 0.034 when compared to the t-table value of 2.01174 (t-count> t-table) or 2.186> 2.01174 with a significant level of 0.034> 0.05 which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, so it can be concluded that the brand image variable (X2) has a significant influence on the decision to purchase Scarlett Whitening products among students of the Widya Praja Tanah Grogot School of Economics. Of the two independent variables studied, it is known that the brand ambassador variable (X1) is the variable that has the dominant influence on purchasing decisions, this is evidenced by the results of t-count> t-table (3.752> 1.67793) with a significant value of 0.000 <0.05.
