Abstract

This study aims to develop the learning of Arabic listening skill by using technology especially Android media which is currently in great demand by millennial generation, and to find out how effective it is. To measure the effectiveness of learning Arabic listening by using Android, this study uses an experimental-based research applied to 32 tenth graders of Natural Science (IPA) at Islamic High School (Madrasah Aliyah/MA) Nasruddin Dampit. The data collection techniques used in this study are tests, namely pre-test and post-test and distributing questionnaires. The data analysis uses the t test formula. And based on the results of research that has been done, the results obtained t count = 5.21 and t table = 2.04 with a significant level α = 0.05. Thus t arithmetic t table = 5.21 2.04 which means the learning of Arabic listening by using android in MA Nasruddin is effective.

Abstract

The research aims: (1) to describe the differences in accent and lexeme variations in the eastern and western Libyan dialects; and (2) to describe the social factors of Libyan society that cause dialect variations. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data sources from interviews with native Libyan speakers. Direct interviews carried out the data collection technique. The results of this study are: (1) Libyan dialect variations between the Eastern and Western Libyan dialects are divided into accent and lexeme variations. The researcher found three different accent variations of the two dialects. The differences in accent include phonetic differences with accelerations and changes in pronunciation. Meanwhile, in the lexeme, researchers found 20 variations of the lexeme. These variations include onomasiological symptoms in most of the vocabulary and semasiological symptoms in some of the lexemes; (2) The factors causing the emergence of dialect variations are: The influence of geographic location; The social condition of the Libyan people; The tradition of settling down and being close to the family after marriage; The society that divided was considered a disgrace. Meanwhile, two factors influence the similarity between the Libyan dialect and Fushah Arabic, namely: the Libyan dialect Lexem can be derived from the Fushah language; The Libyan dialect axon is a Fushah language experiencing affixes and accelerations in pronunciation.

Abstract

Purpose - This research aims to explain the pedagogic competence of arabic teachers in the learning process and pedagogic competencies of Arabic teachers in learning evaluation. The objects in this study were all Arabic teachers at MAN 1 Mojokerto consists of 4 teachers. Design/methodology/approach - A qualitative approach with observation, interviews, documentation as complementary data. Findings - The research results obtained by researchers include, Most Arabic teachers make lesson plans globally for one year. They use learning methods according to the circumstances and abilities of students to achieve learning objectives; their classroom management abilities are related to the methods used. They do not use learning media due to the limitations of the school's media and the teacher's lack of ability to apply the latest media. Most of the Arabic teachers in Learning Evaluation use the test results as a tool to improve future exams and for selecting students until they can follow certain competencies Originality/value - The competence of Arabic language teachers, which is sometimes questioned, is not a problem in this study. This is because the teachers who teach Arabic at the research sites are state teachers, perhaps it is necessary to follow up more deeply on the competence of Arabic teachers in private schools. Abstract

This study aims to find the effect of the implemetation of the Mingle Model on productive language skills and the relationship to the personality based on Carl Gustav Jung Theory in Arabic learning at MTsN Batu City, East Java. This research used a quantitative approach by combining the experimental and correlation methods, it was applying the Mingle Model to improve students' productive skills (speaking and writing) which have been divided into two groups; the Experiment and Control group and connected using the correlation method to extroverted and introverted students based on the theory of Carl Gustav Jung. Data collection through questionnaires, tests, and documentation. The results showed that there was a significant relationship to students' productive skills after applying the Mingle Model and there were no significant differences between extroverted and introverted students. This research recommend that the Mingle Model can be applied to improve students' productive skills. This study recommends further research to utilise more varied research methods with more diverse variables.

Abstract

Buku Bahasa Arab yang digunakan oleh siswa Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Kota Malang bertujuan untuk menguasai keterampilan-keterampilan berbahasa yang di antaranya mendengar, membaca, berbicara, dan menulis. Namun, materi ajar dalam buku tersebut belum disertai dengan materi-materi ilmu tata bahasa Arab (Ilmu Nahwu) yang lengkap sesuai dengan pendekatan saintifik kurikulum 2013. Maka diperlukan bahan ajar pendamping sebagai pelengkap pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model “Borg and Gall” yang terdiri dari 10 langkah. Penelti menggunakan observasi, wawancara, angket, dan tes sehingga data yang diperoleh berupa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian: 1) peneliti telah menyusun buku ajar dan dinamakan “al-Mutammim” karena sebagai pelengkap pembelajaran untuk materi ilmu Nahwu yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa. 2) berdasarkan pada hasil validasi produk oleh validator desain buku dan isi materi ilmu Nahwu, bahan ajar tersebut layak penggunaannya di sekolah aliyah. 3) bahan ajar ini mampu untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa dan penggunaannya efektif untuk siswa. Hal tersebut berdasarkan pada nilai to 1,965 untuk tingkat kebebasan 28 lebih besar dari t tabel 5% 1,753 (to 1,965 tt 5% = 1,753)

Abstract

Language acquisition and language learning among scientists tend to be different. This is based on the fact that the language acquisition process is supported unconsciously and is limited to a certain time. Meanwhile, the language learning process can be done consciously and is not limited by time. Through these two arguments, according to Stephen Krashen the acquisition process has certain characteristics. He believes that language acquisition can be obtained in adults. Based on this information, the researcher wants to describe and analyze the philosophy that encourages Stephen Krashen to develop a theory of language acquisition through classroom management based on Multiple Intelligences. This study used a qualitative research design with a case study method at SD Plus Al-Kaustar Malang, Indonesia. Data collection included observation, interview and documentation study through an analysis technique consisting of three steps; data collection, reduction and conclusion. The results showed that the philosophical background built in the theory of Stephen Krashen based on Multiple Intelligences is a empiricism philosopgy. This is known through the process of language acquisition which is formed through an adequate language environment carried out by the sensory experiences of students with the help of their cognitive thinking processes. These findings indicate that language acquisition can be done through a good environmental design even though it has passed the age limit for first language acquisition.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to know the representation of Egyptian society in Hisyam Algakh poems “Ad- Diwaan Al-Awwal”  based on the perspective of Alan swingewood's first literary work as social document at the time of the work's creation.This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The primary source of data used in the study are the three of Hisyam Algakh poems “Ad- Diwaan Al-Awwal”  entitled ar-Risalah al-Akhirah, Masyhadu Ra’si Fi Miidan at-Tahrir dan at-Ta’syirah. The data collection techniques used by researchers in this study are reading, translation, and note-taking techniques. The data validation technique in this study consists of increasing diligence, triangulation, discussions with experts. The data analysis technique used in the study of the Miles Huberman model are reduction, presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study show representation of Egyptian society in the poetry collection “Ad- Diwan Al- Awaal” by Hisyam Algakh, there are 4 descriptions: a) a complaints against to  the head of state that does not hear the sigh of its people; b) the misery of society resulting from authoritarian leadership; c) the hope of the Egyptian people; and d) nationalism conceived in the form of love for the fatherland and the Arabs.

Abstract

As the queen of the family, the wife is a determinant of household harmony who understands every detail of her domestic realm. But in fact, several social traditions and norms under the guise of religion limit the space for wives to move in their palaces. This study aims to reveal Husein Muhammad's thoughts on domestic rights in the household and to analyze his mindset in doing istinbath. The method used is literature study in the study of thought. This descriptive qualitative research used the main data sources in the form of two books by Kyai Husein, namely: (1) Women's Fiqh: Kyai's Reflections on the Interpretation of Religious and Gender Discourses published by LKiS in 2019; and (2) Islam, Religion Friendly to Women: Defending Kyai Pesantren, published by LKiS in 2009. Data collection techniques tend to be qualitative with literature documentation techniques. Therefore, an analysis of Kyai Husein's istinbath mindset was carried out using a deductive mindset approach. The results of this study are: (1) The wife has several domestic rights in the household, including the right to support, the right to be the head of the household, the right to express an opinion, the right to mu'asyarah bi al-ma'ruf, and the right to get health services; (2) The mindset of Kyai Husein Muhammad in determining legal istinbath departs from the postulates of sharia with cultural contextualization which then gave birth to the principles of justice and human equality, the concept of sharia as a cultural reflection, and emancipatory jurisprudence.

Abstract

Pembelajaran daring di Sekolah menciptakan ketentuan baru terkait serangkaian kurikulum, metode, materi dan media pembelajaran yang harus diperbaharui oleh pihak sekolah dan para guru untuk menyesuaikan dengan keadaan, maka timbullah berbagai inovasi terbaru dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi yang mudah diakses agar tercipta pembelajaran yang efektif, efisien dan diterima dengan mudah oleh para siswa. Salah satunya dengan memanfaatkan Aplikasi Smartschool Genius Pada Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab yang memiliki beberapa kendala selama pembelajaran dan beberapa manfaat selama penggunaannya di masa Pandemi Covid-19, namun didalam aplikasi ini terdapat beberapa fitur-fitur sebagai penunjang efektifitas pembelajaran. Dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif, peneliti mengumpulkan beberapa data lapangan di MI Al-Khoiriyyah dengan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi online karena masih dilaksanakan pembatasan aktivitas masyarakat (PPKM) di Jawa dan Bali. Dan setelah semua data terkumpul, peneliti menganalisis data dengan tiga tahap dalam reduksi data (merangkum), penyajian data, dan verifikasi atau menarik kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian tersebut. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan aplikasi dapat membantu siswa dalam Belajar Bahasa Arab tanpa batasan waktu dan tempat dan juga aplikasi ini memiliki dampak yang signifikan tentang Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab dimasa yang akan datang. Penelitian ini dapat memberikan kontribusi pada perkembangan anak dalam penggunaan teknologi dalam pembelajaran bahasa arab.

Abstract

Since mid-2020, mostly caused by the Covid-19 outbreak which forced almost all academic activities involving massive participants to be cancelled due to health and safety reasons, the webinar suddenly became a very famous activity among learners. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the learners’ experience and perspective in this type of academic interaction, especially in Arabic webinar activity. Since this kind of interaction has become an upward trend that is applied massively by almost all institutions, observing it through a cross-sectional survey could be significant research. Thus, we use mixed (quantitative and qualitative-descriptive) methods to explore not only the perspectives of the participants but also to describe their experiences. It starts by providing data from survey results, classifying, analyzing, and presenting the analysis. Based on the recorded learners’ experience, it can be noticed that the Arabic webinars held by various Arabic language academies and institutions across the world were considered quite effective and efficient. Even though there are still many obstacles and shortcomings, especially from a technical point of view, this kind of web-based seminar can be one of the promising alternatives for Arabic learning when the Covid-19 pandemic is still ongoing. Most of the participants were satisfied with the performance of the Arabic language webinars they have participated in, indicated by a high score in the general assessment.
